My Favorite!
Muy ricas las hamburguesas, el servicio y la atención excelentes.
The fish and chips was quite good, with very fluffy breading on the fish, delicious fries, and ample portions of both. Service was attentive and friendly, and a beachy poolside vibe creates a phone atmosphere.
Great service and good food. I had Icelandic saalmon with lemon burre blanc, roasted carrots, and broccolini. It tastes like it was from a Michelin star restaurant. Definitely have to visit again
Had some drinks and appetizers after swimming, and the pool and Junior was an amazing bartender. He was extremely knowledgeable and recommended some good local spots to go to.
Hotel is beautiful! Renovations great! Had our company small gathering for dinner. Cocktails good too! Food delicious.
The food was great! I loved the chicken wings and the garden burger sliders.
Adorable place. Great food. We love it.
Haley was awesome tonight as our waitress
The burger was made to order and delicious
The Lapper was such a great experience, I went two days in a row! The food and drinks were delicious, the restaurant was so clean and nice, and the service was incredible. Deeba was our server and she was so kind, attentive, and helpful! She gave amazing recommendations and also helped us tourists with great San Diego must-sees! If you get the honor and of having Deeba as your server, ask her to make you her favorite drink(s) because she knows the best ones! Highly recommend The Lapper!
There was no wait and wendat outside. The lighting was perfect. Our server Dan was amazing. He offered us suggestions not on the menu. The drinks were delicious as well as the steak and cheesecake. Adina the assistant manager stopped by to see how everything was. The night was perfect. Definitely coming by again.
Olivia the server at Lapper is The Best Server Ever. She went above and beyond for my family like it was second nature! The OG Crush burger was excellent, the sauces were on point. Thank Olivia for my buffet of sauces to sample!
New restaurant with great food and ambiance! Overlooking pool and grass. Dog friendly. Ordered the seared ahi salad and a pear cider. Loved it!
Had an Awesome time here. The atmosphere is great. The drinks are fantastic. My bartender Haley was fast and friendly. She even made a drink that I didn’t see on the menu, but said a lot of patrons enjoy it (photo attached). She wasn’t wrong. She’s a real gem in the rough.
We’ve been here several times for the fun themed trivia nights (we especially loved the Friends one), but when we unexpectedly had to find a nice restaurant where 12 of us could eat a nice Thanksgiving dinner, they fit the bill perfectly! The kids got to play air hockey while we visited. They had the traditional Thanksgiving dinner option or a delicious halibut that I thought was the best Thanksgiving dinner meal that I’d had in a long as I can remember. They really are still kind of a hidden gem at the renovated Towne and Country resort. Oh, and if you eat there, they validate the parking at the hotel lot!
I tried the margarita pizza and it was the right choice. The roasted tomatoes spread over the hot melted cheese just made my mouth watery with each bite.
Dined in on a friday evening. Great food and great service. The host and waiter went above and beyond to provide the best experience possible.
Our server was amazing, and the food tasted really good.

This bar is really nice. Staff is super nice and will accommodate a lot. If you want a drink that’s not on their menu they can see if they have everything to make it and will make it happen. Server was also attentive and helpful. Would recommend coming here if you are staying at the Town and country.
Came in for the Super Bowl for the 2nd half. The atmosphere was great the vibes were on point. I was served by Lex and Cassandra they provided me some excellent service! The burger was on point! I like the location close to the trolley and easy access for ride share services.

Excellent service from Elijah. Great ambiance and place for families.
店員はフレンドリーで、居心地は良いです。 ビールのチョイスに悩んでいると、試飲もさせてくれます。
Food was good. A little pricey.
The food is good, the atmosphere is good. Service is slow due to being short staffed.
Had lunch on Sunday. Fish & chips were excellent.
Not much selection, but the food was good.
Some servers are better than others, but overall they do a good job. It is loud inside because of all the tvs. It is also very cold at night and they leave all the doors open so it gets chilly. Otherwise it’s clean and has a good seating arrangement. The fries and chipotle mayo are great. I also enjoyed the grilled chicken sandwich. The wings are really terrible. Soggy, and the bbq sauce has no flavor. Really some of the worst wings I’ve ever had. But Lapper not as expensive as other restaurants at the town n country. I ate there several times while staying at the resort.

Portion sizes were generous. Service was adequate, though it could have been warmer given that the restaurant was only 10% occupied (if that). We loved the watermelon salad! Both fish and chips and the fish tacos were excessively breaded, which was yummy, but just WAY too much. We had to pick it apart to get to the protein. Expected something a bit more healthy from a high end resort. Cool games to play inside like shuffleboard- I’d go back but likely just for the bar, chips and salsa/guacamole.
The lapper used to be better. I have had lunch here during Tiki Oasis and thought it to be great. Unfortunately, I had lunch here last week and things were subpar. The food quality has taken a "dive" while the service leaves you to " tread water".
Great grilled chicken but greasy potatoes on the steak. Do not order shrimp cocktail it doesn't taste.
I was here for a conference over the weekend and needed a place to eat dinner. I sat at the bar and witnessed two staff members handle and slice raw fruit with their bare hands (no gloves worn) while handling dirty glasses, dishes, credit card payments, etc. I don't know that I will eat here again or recommend it to anyone. Service was not very attentive either.

Don't get the fish tacos! they are filling but bland. Great bartenders and decent burger. Beachy kind of atmosphere, kind of loud when sports are on. Not much else on site. but don't get the fish tacos.

Takes forever unsure how my food will taste but all the drinks taste like Jalapeño or cucumber. We sent ours back. Wait staff is very nice.
Menu description of my breakfast was inaccurate and I received part of my breakfast order twenty minutes after we finished and it was cold.
Very poor service. Requested an appetizer three times and never received it. Finally asked for it to go. Wanted over 10 minutes for a check. The food was delicious!
Would not recommend their chicken strips unless you enjoy sickness and throwing up. Fries were amazing until i ate the chicken which was good. After i ate a couple i got sick to my stomach and had to stand before needing to go to the restroom to promptly puke it all out. 0/10 on the chicken strips.
The tortilla soup was dreadful, lacking any semblance of flavor. It was like eating liquefied cardboard with a dash of salt. The cornbread was more odd than terrible, lacking the signature spongy fluff that makes it such a treat. BBQ chicken pizza, cheesesteak, and BBQ salad were good, though short of great. Our wait staff was cheerful and accommodating, but we felt somewhat unattended overall. (They were busy, but not wall-to-wall.)
Ordered the BBQ pork sandwich with fried egg received with no egg. Asked the waitress where's the fried egg and she went back and came out with the egg but it was a runny sunny side egg not a fried egg pork was good. Also ordered the fish tacos. The batter was under cooked and soggy. Fish in the taco was borderline cooked but edible. The scenery was nice and the Pomegranate margarita was excellent but definitely not going back for that service and prices.

The worst restaurant in america
Very slow service, food lacked flavor. Chicken strips were pink on the inside, beers from the tap were improperly poured and left the glass 3/4 full. Waitress took our drink order and then another waitress told us 20 minutes later that they don’t carry those drinks. We were in the middle of our meal when manager started turning off televisions for closing time. I said “I think they are closing.” My friend responded “Hopefully for good.” ☠️
My partner and I went here late after a long day, probably a hour before they closed. We got the poutine fries and they came covered in BBQ sauce. They could have just said they ran out of Poutine. For a $65+ meal for two entrees I thought that was unacceptable.
Worst place I have been to in a very long time. Awful service long waits got two orders out of four wrong bland food and very overpriced for meal size. Wouldn’t recommend for anyone to dine there. Get better.
The chicken orzo was salty. I found out on my credit card statement that the waitress raised my tip amount.
Waited 10 min for a server to come but never showed up so I left. Place was empty on a Saturday night. I was very disappointed
The 2x I have been here I couldn't get silverware or water. The second time they couldn't bother to seat me.
Ordered a cowboy burger, fries and onion rings to go. I check twice after 20 minutes and they kept saying they are busy. I have seen 4-5 orders( ordered after me, to-go and dine in) go out. After almost an hour I get told "he's working on it right now." It took over an hour for me to get my food.
Waited 15 minutes on line to get in only to wait another 20 minutes before having to physically get up to get a waitress to help us. Meanwhile, people that were seated well after us had already gotten their food as other wait staff veered around us not making sure contact. When we finally got someone to help us, we were told the wait time would be another half hour for food. Considering we were at a conference that only had a one hour break, we would have missed our return time. The waitress not only could have given two cares about helping us in the first place (as evidenced by her avoiding eye contact or any attempts to glad her down while we waited), but also threw some serious attitude when we explained we had to leave because we wouldn't be able to make our seminar at that point. If the food is as terrible as the service and wait time, I feel bad for the people who actually were served. AVOID.
Zero stars. 4 PM on a Monday. Hardly any customers. 10 minutes and not a single server came to check on us. This is the second time this has happened at this establishment.
Tried twice and both times the food was not good. Our waiter had no personality and never checked back. The atmosphere is cool!
Food average. Charged a higher tip than what I wrote down on the check on my card after I left the restaurant
The Town and Country hotel was promising with their catering from the conference I attended there and at this restaurant, The Lapper, which is their main casual restaurant - they had their menu and conference buffet gluten free items labeled. However, I got a salad with ranch at The Lapper for lunch, no gluten warning, then for dinner at the conference saw that the ranch contained gluten. The next day, they only had sandwiches for lunch, but one station was build your own so I was able to make my own without bread. However, the cavatappi pasta salad that was labeled gluten free someone informed me later that they asked the staff and it was not. So I was "glutened" twice in 24 hours, at 2/3 meals I have eaten here. Manager was appreciative when I explained the scenario and my advice to re-check labels here for those with allergies, but nothing further. Thankfully I am not celiac, but I worry for those that are that have eaten here. Don't eat here if there are gluten/allergy concerns. Even if they say gluten free, food allergy labeling here cannot be trusted. If you don't have food restrictions, the food is great. But sadly, I cannot eat here anymore.
