Good experience. Luxe Boba is open late and thus we arrived at 10pm and were able to get boba. There was a bit of a car meet-up outside.

This place took over the former Saigon Bliss Pho restaurant. We were saddened because we wanted to get pho and then boba. But glad to know it runs in the same family since the Pho was owned by the mother and now the daughter owns the boba. She’s super nice and friendly when taking our order. The menu and concept reminds me of boba shops in Orange County due to the drink flavors, serving snacks, and concept. Unlike other SD tea shops that are Taiwanese/Chinese, I am happy that we have a Vietnamese inspired shop that offers flavors like durian, penny worth, sugar cane, pandan, mung bean, etc. I also love that the menu offers picture with description and not just a list of names and you don’t know what to order. We got Mr. Bean which was a mix of mung bean and infused with pandan leaves along with crystal boba. The texture is there but not as rich if I were to compare it to my favorite place in OC but it’s just as good because of the infused pandan which probably took away that mung bean richness but overall, two thumbs up. I’m also not a fan of boba but decided to keep it original to stick with the crystal boba. Which is way better than regular black boba since it’s like crunchy jelly not chewy starch. We also got Jade which is Hokkaido milk tea with crystal boba and butterfly pea tea. This drink has caffeine, you can taste the strong tea and it’s legit. We got no boba for this drink. She didn’t ask me but the person before requested their sugar level to be half sweet. So that’s a suggestion if you want to adjust your sugars and perhaps ice level. I kept it normal for my first time to see how the original tasted before any adjustments. We ordered popcorn chicken, chicken wings, and dynamite fries. You get the most bang for your buck with pop corn chicken, it’s a large portion. The wings came with 6 so it’s like $1 a piece. I got spicy but it tasted like it wasn’t even mild. Although it was nicely breaded and meaty. The dynamite shoe string fries was yummy but the sriracha and spicy Mayo was only squirted on top and not evenly throughout underneath. So once you finish the top layer, the rest is just the saltiness and furikake. Still good but I would recommend to scatter evenly throughout. My favorite would be the pop corn chicken. I wish there was outdoor tables for dining. Inside is available for sit down. Outside is just a white ottoman. We came before sun down and the place started to transform from day to night as they rolled out the VIP red velvet rope and turned on the LED neon lights, club-like environment. In my opinion, Luxe is comparable to OC boba shops and now we don’t have to drive 1.5 hours for quality drinks.

Out of towner review over here! If I could give this place an 11/10 I would! 😍 LUXE Boba is a very cute and hipster place for bubbletea and quick eats. I love the ambience and the menu is quite exquisite if you ask me!! This is the only place I know in San Diego that uses fresh fruit in their bubbletea; I have gone on missions with my husband to find fresh bubbletea and I'm always disappointed, so finding luxe was a real win for us! PS: it's not everyday that you meet Mama Luxe!!! She is so kind and I love her vision for her shop. She puts her thought, heart and soul in EVERY. SINGLE. ingredient mix and it shows!!! She personally made and comped me her favorite: berry no diary, because she is truly passionate and stands by the healthy aspect of her drinks. My husband (and pup) will be back when we visit San Diego again. Thank you mama Luxe and the Luxe fam ☺️

Been here twice and had a great experience both times. One was a walk up order and another a phone order. Both times my food and drinks came out in 15 minutes like they said. Kind staff, amazing milk teas, and great snacks. Really love the fried tofu and calamari!

Not sure what a lot of the reviews are going on about. This place is truly so good! Doordashed our order and put in an order for a drink with oat milk. They called us to let us know they didnt have any and asked for substitutes. Some might say bare minimum but I truly have not experienced that in the past with doordash deliveries. Food arrived quick and jaws were dropped. Drinks were so delicious and the coconut shrimp was absolutely amazing. So crisp and fresh and a great value for how much we paid which was another thing we were shocked by considering how all the reviews were talking about this place being overpriced. Anyways try this place out!!

Well I decided to come here after a hike and I ordered the Catalina tea and it tasted amazing and it looked superb! Seating is a bit odd and uncomfortable but I’m 6’2 so perhaps this place is designed for a certain age group.

The location is a little odd, but the vibe inside was a spot I could see teens hanging out after school. Really enjoyed the interior design. However unfortunately we waited way too long for our drinks. 3 customers who entered their orders after us some how relieved their drinks before us. When you enter you the site you are able to enter your orders from three different kiosks, and for some reason we had to wait 15mins for our 3 drinks. At the time of our visit. All the employees hid in the back room. One young lady came out briefly and asked if we had any questions then entered back to the back. If you wanted anyone to come out from the back you had to use the bell they have sitting on the counter. A gentleman waited way too long before he finally decided to hit the bell. He was only there to pick up an order. Unfortunately my drink (strawberry) was not to my liking. The black tiger was not bad and the last drink I believe was Lilly and also not bad. Sadly I have had much better drinks elsewhere and normally give a location three chances but I'm not sure I will be returning to this one.

The Boba Tea is actually great, this is my daughter’s favorite drink! So I keep having to return here. The customer service is decent but they NEVER answer the telephone. We’ve ordered the fried chicken 3x (the 1st time was great) which made us want to order it again, 2nd time the chicken was undercooked after a 25 minute wait and we had to be refunded. The 3rd time I specifically asked for the chicken to be cooked well done and once we got home, the picture shows the result. I called 3x to speak with a manager, no answer. On my next trip back I showed them the picture and my phone call log, I was compensated with a free Boba Tea and a order of Calamari, so that was nice. Don’t order the wings unless you like raw chicken or hopefully the chef fixes the issue, but we will never order chicken here again.

I’ve been to this place at least 8-10 times. The first 2 times the boba was great, all the times since then they have given me boba which is either hard or has ZERO flavor. I’m not sure what happened but it seems that it’s gone downhill since. boba now tastes like cardboard. On another note, all the employees are great and very friendly. Some of the other things on their menu is good. (i’m also ordering their sweet honey boba)

Never have I received a drink with a hair inside ,this is disgusting. Ordered 2 lychee bomb and a taro smoothie and this just made me throw all the drinks away.(Monday march 9 @9:15pm)

I normally dont have problems here but today was different and i feel really hurt by the interaction. I tried to explain the dink i got didnt taste right and really bitter not the sweet brown sugary taste i normally get it was even a different color.. I spoke up and told the guy it was wrong or something was wrong with it. I kept getting blamed saying it was something with my taste buds or i had to have had something before drinking it. Which is very untrue. I literally didnt drink or eat anything in the last two hours since i had been running around doing stuff and this was me one treat. Sitting there gaslighting me wasnt okay. And i highly doubt that i will return after that treatment.

I hate writing negative reviews but want to save someone else the money. I spent over $40 on two drinks (the Thai tea with honey boba and green apple slushy) and two snacks (fries and popcorn chicken). The Thai tea was not good at all and had no sweetness but the flavor itself wasn’t even good. Genuinely took two sips and had to toss it. The green apple drink tastes like just a lot of whatever mix they were using like artificial pure sweet. One of the worst things though was that after tasting the bad drinks we still had hope for the food. Upon eating the fries we thought it would be fine since those were okay, but one bite of the chicken proved me wrong. In one small piece of popcorn chicken I had to spit out three bones. At that point I was frustrated and gave up throwing everything left away and at a loss of over $40. I would not recommend this place which sucks.
