The personnel are always, kind, helpful it never takes long to get my order. I had 2 all beef hotdogs with chili & cheese. My daughter had their special 2 regular hotdogs with chili cheese and chili cheese fries. Always delicious! So glad Der Wienerschnitzel is still here after so many years! Love them.

This location is very close to my apartment. It's not quite walking distance, but it can be done. I ordered my fave, their large Ranch Chili Cheeze Fry. It is so large that eating half and saving for later what I usually do. It is very filling & tasty. Cost was just under $10 dollars.

Mario helped me... My experiences with him are always warm.He spoke to me as if he knew me rather than someone he's just throwing selling food to... Real hospitality and kindness. I lost the receipt from the first visit and I was so disappointed in myself because I really wanted to pay him a compliment. GOD blessed me to see him again when I came back to the restaurant and here I am. To be honest everyone at the restaurant just appear to be very kind wholesome people.

The main fry cook, Carlos i believe is his name, was highly efficient, very pleasant, and courteous. Our wait time after paying for our food was very short. The cashier was also kind and courteous.

The history of the der wienerschnitzel is amazing from being hit by a tank years ago to the most recent fire that almost tore it down. But it is resilient, and I find that in the past recent existence, customer service and the quality.As far exceeded what its past has been. It also seems that the corporate office has made a concerted effort to make them viable in the fast food marketplace again. With specials like four dollars for 4 chili dogs on wednesday two other specials and offerings, it's just to go to cheap satisfying meal that's not too healthy and oh so good😋

The majority of the food is great. However, DO NOT order the Reese's shake from here. You can tell by the taste of the Reese's that they keep them in the fridge nearby uncovered chopped onions. I've gotten this shake 3 times, trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, but every time, the Reese's in the shake taste like onions. The ice cream itself is fine, and I've gotten the Oreo shakes, which always taste fine. It's very obvious that the Reese's are stored beside uncovered onions. If you've ever done that in your own fridge, you know it can make everything else in the fridge taste like onions as well. A quick Google search: "onions have a strong, volatile odor that easily transfers to other foods in the fridge due to their high sulfur content; when exposed to air, the onion releases these sulfur compounds which can readily absorb into nearby items, contaminating their taste." This location, I beg you, COVER THE ONIONS IN YOUR FRIDGE!

Our food was hot ! I know that sounds silly, but the Escondido location doesn't serve their food hot. The employees were SO upbeat and friendly !! The guys all seemed to be having fun and really enjoy working together. Glad they are back open !

This is a freshly remodeled restaurant with a freshly redone inside and out of the traditional A-frame design. The employees are friendly and the facility is clean. Parking is an issue and the drive through doesn't work well for larger vehicles. A three point turn is required to line your vehicle up to to pull through the drive through. With cars parked in the lot this makes approach this much more difficult.

No dine in at this, but they do have outdoor seating.

You can order with no chili and still save money. It’s the Wienerschnitzel version of a $1.50 Costco hot dog. Service was great. Chili is a little salty for my preference but has a pleasant taste, hence the no chili suggestion. Dining is an open patio on a busy street with shade. Nothing they can do about it but still 3-star.

There's not as many left in San Diego but glad there was one here near where I live and just moved. Its on a busy street and parking is a little tight. No dine in like the one in Chula Vista. They were very skimpy on the chili. Didn't really taste it on the hot dogs and fries like I have from other locations. But service was good and quick.

Interesting drive through setup. If you enter on one side, you have to pretty much do a u-turn to get to the speaker. And then for the exit, it puts you right into the road which is hard if you just want to park and eat.

Had a hard time getting service at the drive thru. We had to pull to the window to get their attention to take our order. They also only gave us 2 drinks when we ordered 3, & had to ask several times before we got the 3rd. (Almost charged us for it, even though we already PAID for it!!!)

The chili dog does not taste as good as the old days

I ordered 2 corn dogs. Do chili dogs and a drink. I went through the drive through. On a 2 hour drive to. Ontario, California., By the? Time I decided to eat. My corn. Dogs were still dripping with grease. I ate them anyways and suffered from a stomachache till the next day.

Outside and hot not a lot of clean seating nor many places to sit and couldn't understand the employee at the register

It’s Tuesday at 3:45 PM and when I’m trying to order, I asked the kid on the speakerphone what comes in a combo besides the drink. Smart boy said that it’s a very basic thing around all of fast food to know that combos come with french fries. I replied not exactly as other places have onion rings or vegetables etc. he said I should know better. I did not come to Wienerschnitzel to get insulted. Now I’ll go find my food somewhere else

Ive been to this place two times and the korean owner has came over the loud speaker both times and i cannot understand a word she has said i came on a wednesday and on wednesdays u get 4 chilly dogs for 4 dollars and a free corndog i had also added a large drink and she charged me 1 dollar extra and then when i hand her my ebt card she cant tell the difference from a debit card and an ebt and then her worker had to come and tell me that they dont take ebt and then when i check my food i only have 4 chilly dogs and no corndog so i get off the car and keep in mind in in a wheel chair so its a whole prosses and she asked me for my recipt witch i had thrown away so i show her on my phone that it came with a corndog and then when her worker got the corn dog and then as i roll away she laughs and when i check my food its ice cold very very poor service

This place is a joke. 4 workers inside the store. No one would work the drive through speaker and the prices on the sign at the drive through are not the same they try to charge you at the window. $12 for 2 small corn dogs soggy fry and a fanta. Will never be back.
