Just had the best Chilaquiles and breakfast Mollete in San Diego! The food came really quick and was super fresh and delicious! I'll definitely be back.
The staff here are so genuinely nice and friendly it’s both surprising and refreshing. We always get the vegan and breakfast burritos. Both SO delicious! Update: haven’t been here in months and forgot what I usually order and Jennifer, whom was working the drive through, was so genuinely friendly and helpful reminding me about some of their food and drink options. I’ll be back sooner than 6 months for sure bc the service is awesome
Best streak burrito around. Has drive thru. Great salsa!
I am a SD native and grew up eating burritos bigger than I was from all the various Riga/Al/rigal-bertos family of restaurants, and loved it. This place is a tier above those places. Killer breakfast burritos, al pastor tacos, etc. The food is always super fresh and their habanero salsa is very addicting. Good luck resisting ordering a hot churro to eat in the car on your way home. The only "downside" of this place is that they close at 2pm, and the food isn't "fast" (I guess? It takes them about 10 minutes to cook a meal for our family of four). I'm surprised they have a 4.4 rating as of this writing. It looks like most of the 1 star reviews are from 4+ years ago so, I don't know, maybe they got their act together now? I have been happily enjoying this place for the last 2-3 years. Enjoy!
We’ve been coming here for years and their breakfast burritos are the best. The breakfast croissant sandwich is good too. I’ve enjoyed everything that I’ve tried here! We visit at least once a week. Food and service is great every time. The bean, potato, egg, and cheese burrito is my favorite comfort meal!
I’ve been coming to Panchita’s for five years and it never disappoints! Their chicken tortilla soup is my go-to, and the birria is amazing. Cozy, delicious, and always hits the spot
Best breakfast burritos I’ve ever had! The staff is super nice and the food is delicious. I love their concha’s. Their carne asada is tender and super yummy.
The chorizo and potato breakfast burrito is incredible! They definitely give you your money's worth. Too many places just use beans and rice as filler and skimp out on meat. This is NOT one of those places. If you're looking for a hefty burrito loaded with flavor, this is it!!
Best breakfast spot in town. Such nice people and thoughtful service. Coffe is earthy and smooth, girthy but healthy brekky-rrito’s. Delicious and healthy food portioned generously and prepared consistently with love. I don’t remember if I posted a review before so I may be double tapping but damn! I’m so glad I live nearby!
Incredible!!! The food is fresh and reasonably priced. Clean inside and outside. Excellent customer service. This was the experience we were needing to get us back on the San Diego bandwagon. We got a few breakfast burritos, empanadas, donuts, Jamaica/Lemonade - 10s across the board.
Breakfast burritos and plates are good. Salsa is just right.
Super big and yummy breakfast burritos! Good coffee too and they have a drive thru which is fun.
Favorite place for breakfast Mexican food in San Diego. Amazing salsa and empanadas!
The best quality Mexican food! Everything is good here!! Good to church next door at Makers and then get some delicious afterwards :) and service is great, very nice and have pride in their work. Super cool.
Tacos are pretty good. Small but flavorful. Had better. Had worse but I don’t rate places on if everything hits the mark on my tastes since we all have different tastes. I rate restaurants on what they can control. Sauces are good. Outdoor patio is nice.
OMG what a gem! We went to the Bakery first after reading reviews that conchas may be sold out, but SO glad we came to the Kitchen after! There were conchas ;) The woman at the register is a sweetheart with excellent service. The chilaquiles were PERFECTION! The soyrizo burrito was yummy. The concha and coffee were great too! Try it!
I have lived in San Diego for 5 years and I have been looking for my go-to spot for a vegan Mexican fix — and I finally found it! They even have a drive-thru! Panchita's Kitchen & Bakery is a quaint and cute eatery that offers vegan options! I ordered the Vegan Burrito and a large iced coffee with Almond Milk. The delicious Vegan Burrito included soy-rizo, potato, spinach, cabbage, pico, sliced avocado, and black beans. Thank GOODNESS they have a solid option that isn’t overwhelmed by cheese (or dairy-free cheese). However, to be honest, the iced coffee was lack luster. Panchita’s is in a great location, it is clean, and it has a friendly staff. I would recommend you check it out.
I have walked and driven past this place more times than I can tell you. Today it’s mid afternoon and I have yet to have some thing for lunch so I decided to stop and give them a try. It was close to closing time so they were starting to put stools and seating things away yet I was able to order and get my food in a timely manner. I was so hungry I inhaled everything and then realized I did not take a picture of my food… Oops! I ordered the Kearny Asada tacos which come as a twosome. They were small yet filled with the Kearny Asada meat the guacamole and the pico de gallo. It was the perfect size for me and I finished both of them very fast. And of course I could not resist sweets so I had to try one of their Empanada day Crema. That too was absolutely yummy. I will definitely be coming back!
Drive through only service. Only a tear one time but I would go back again if I lived here every week. My wife got the burrito with chicken/pollo and it was the most tender and flavorful burrito I've ever had a bite from. Fresh pinto beans, guacamole well seasoned chicken seriously bursting with flavor. Food was very clean and fresh. I got the carne asada burrito. in hindsight I would have gotten the chicken but this was also good however some of the meat was a bit chewy. I also got a nice Horchata that had to be housemaid. Super refreshing and delicious. Have only had these a few times and I can say by a mile this was the best one. The only thing I would change next time is I would get a large. Wait time is short.
What a gem!!! I love this place. The atmosphere felt like a true San Diego spot. Bob Marley played in the morning as I ordered my breakfast burrito and I felt right at home. I got the soy-riszo, egg, and potato breakfast burrito. I substituted the egg with beans and our sour cream and that was fire! I even asked for them to cut it in half so I could savor it for later and they graciously did. Please go show this place some. One of San Diego best kept secrets...by far. Thank you Panchita's!!!
Cute breakfast place! Great variety, dine-in and drive through option, food comes in good portions and is absolutely delicious. The cash register girl was not really friendly but apart from that I liked everything about this restaurant place
“Booyah!” That may have been my reaction as these two exquisite Oaxaca tacos were placed in front of me. These bad boys were scrumptious, and I highly suggest you check this place out. I had been looking for tacos like this since a trip to Huatulco last year, and these Pastor tacos really hit the spot. If you know anything about me, then you know my heart melts upon gazing on some gooey Oaxacan cheese, like the cheese in these tacos. Quality meal! Only other recommendation I would make is if you are going to eat there, go on a nice day. Inside seating is limited, but they have more space on the patio. It was a little chilly out there today, but as long as I had these tacos, nothing could sour my mood. Booyah.
Food was good. I've been complaining to my self about how taco shops lately been using meat that isn't as good but this place has better carne asada then a handful of other places I regularly go to. Will come back.
There is an amazingly warm lady that works here (she might be the owner) that makes you feel at home. Their food is amazing too! My favorite is the chilaquiles. The texture is perfect and the carne asada is worthy. Please do yourself a favor and eat here! The pastries including the empanadas are pretty good as is pretty much their entire menu.

Stopped in for breakfast while I was in town and have nothing but good things to say about this place. Their chilaquiles are delicious, the salsa verde was flavorful and had a good kick to it. Their horchata iced coffee was a pleasant surprise too! My parents also really enjoyed theri chilaquiles and mentioned that you could tell that they didn't cut any corner. I'll definitely pop in again next time I'm in the area.
The burritos and empanadas here are delicious! I ordered the chorizo & potato burrito and panchita’s empanada. This was the best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had. The tortilla is so fresh, the chorizo & potato has amazing flavor and the salsas compliment it well. The bakery is excellent as well, if you live in San Diego you know Panchita’s is the best! The food here really tastes like it has been prepared with care and quality ingredients. I will be back to try more!
Panchita’s makes the best breakfast burritos. They have great vegetarian options across their menu and delicious coffee, including iced coffee. Everyone I know who has eaten there loves it!

I ordered and she thought I ordered the Carne Asada but I actually ordered the Pollo Asado Burrito. She quickly brought out the correct one without seeming too annoyed. I enjoyed it, although it could be better in regards to flavor. I had to use more salsa to enhance the flavor. Although maybe it's supposed to have salsa added to complete the item. I also ordered an Apple Empanada (my first ever) it was good, I think it would be better warmed up and sprinkled with cinnamon! This place is delicious and I think I'll be back! Also on a side note, the whole place is spotless, they definitely take pride in keeping everything extremely clean which is a definite plus!
Nice warm greeting in the drive through with a great interaction at the window. Coffee was good, breakfast burrito was a bit dry due to overcooked eggs, but in fairness I ordered it without salsa which probably would have hidden the dryness. Recommended for sure.
This spot I consider a gourmet Mexican restaurant. Very westernized restaurant. The Carna Asada Burrito I received has white rice in it. You get 2 small salsas per burrito. Extra .35 cents per salsa. Get the orange. Very spicy! Nice little seating area , in and outside. 12.95 for the Carne Asada Burrito.
I ordered 1 vegetable empanada and a hot chocolate. Both were delicious. Next time I'll order 2 vegetable empanadas because that's how good they were. It was the perfect size and filled with veggies which were wrapped around in a fluffy puff pastry. Golden! Sorry no photos I was hungry and it smelled to good to stop to take a picture. Next time.

Not the best. Ordered the California burrito and the friend fries. It was under filled, and with whatever filling it did have, the burrito appeared like it was folded sideways so it would be a full bite of one ingredient only. Had to open the burrito and mix it up. The fries were not crispy at all. I get it is a Mexican restaurant, but they weren’t great.

The food was ok, but the portions are insulting! Ridiculous small portions for both the Chilaquiles and Cali burrito. If the servings were bigger than 8 wouldn't feel ripped off.
I was really looking forward to trying this place because it seemed full of culture, but the experience was disappointing. The service felt a little awkward, the girl who took our order seemed like she didn’t want to be there. The door was left open, so there were several flies around, which made it hard to enjoy the food. I ordered a breakfast plate and the pancakes were way too thick; they were tough to eat unless you drowned them in syrup, which I didn’t want to do. Overall, not the experience I expected given the great reputation.

THIS MORNING WAS THE VERY FIRST TIME THAT WENT TO THIS BAKERY AND WE ORDERED 2 BACON,EGG AND POTATO BURRITOS BUT BEFORE WE ORDER THEM I CHECKED ON GOOGLE THE MENU AND I SAW THAT THE PRICE WAS $7.75 BUT WHEN WE PLACED OUR ORDER THE BURRITOS CAME OUT TO BE $9.25 PER BURRITO SO FOR BOTH BURRITOS WE PAID $19.93 WITH TAX THE BURRITOS WERE EXCELLENT, MADE TO ORDER SALSAS WERE GREAT,SO YOU MAY ASK WHY DID I GAVE ONLY 1 ⭐️ STAR? IT WAS FOR THE FACT THAT WHEN I CALLED 📞 TO TALK TO THE MANAGER TO CONGRATULATE THEM SHE ONLY HEARD THAT EVEN THOUGH EVERYTHING WAS GREAT THE LAST PART OF THE BURRITO WAS DRIPING OF GREASE LIKE IN THE PICTURE AND THE WORDS OF THE EMPLOYEE THAT SAID SHE WAS THE MANAGER WERE THAT SHE WAS BEHIND HER PRODUCT SO I TOLD HER THAT SHE DIDENT HAD TO DEFEND HER SELF OR THE BUSINESS THAT THIS WAS A COMENT FROM A CUSTOMER BUT SHE DIDENT WANT TO HEAR THAT PART OF MY COMMENT, SHE DID NOT WANTED TO GIVE ME HER NAME SHE SAID THAT THEY DID NOT GIVE THEIR NAMES I COULD SEE THAT SHE WAS NOT THE REAL MANAGER OR IF SHE WAS SHE MUST HAVE BEEN IN TRAINING, SO MY WHOLE REASON FOR GIVING THEM THAT LONLY 1⭐️ ITS BECAUSE OF THE ATTITUDE OF THAT MANAGER WANNABE, A WORD FROM THE WISE, WHEN THEY GIVE YOU A PRAISE TAKE IT AND SAY THANK YOU AND ALSO SAY THAT YOU WILL LOOK 👀 INTO THAT AND !!!! SAY THANK YOU !!!!!!
They should change their name to “Panchitas Circus” this is the most disorganized and unprepared “restaurant” I’ve ever visited. And the old lady (manager?) needs A ton of customer service training.
These people taking orders to go have a HUGE PROBLEM listing to instructions. It is Chilaquiles WITH CARNE ASADA!!!! You charge the carne asada but don't include it on the order!!! NO WONDER YOU ALL STARTED CLOSING AT 2PM!!! You are screwing up orders, and can't handle the complaints so you just close up early for the day!!!
