Opinions de Pho G-Beef San Diego
i really liked the fried rice, very flavorful without being too oily or heavy. chicken was moist well seasoned. pho broth is good but had better ones at other places, nonetheless it was still p good. egg rolls were made to order so they were very fresh as well
Very nice and clean restaurant. It is quite bright and vibrant inside without being too blinding and it has a very cozy vibe to it. The staff is chill and attentive and the food came out in a timely fashion. The food was delicious and the serving size was very fair. I really enjoyed the pho broth and it reminded me of a dish from my culture (nilaga; Filipino). The meat in the pho was very tender (well-done beef), the noodles were nice and chewy. I ordered a pork bahn mi and shared an order of the egg rolls. Both were tasty. The fresh vegetables were nice and crisp! We dropped by even though it was way out of the way for us (South of Chula Vista) because I saw an ad on Instagram and saved it. I believe they recently had (or are having) their grand opening. I would definitely drop by again!
Saw this place on Facebook reel n ticktock saying it a vietnamese Pho place, and their food are base of the Northern Vietnam style. Finally have time on 1/1/26 to try it out and it wasn't disappointed. We order Pho n Spring rolls. Pho both was very good and the portion of meat n noodles were a lots. My wife couldn't finish her so I have to help out. Will go again to try it out.
Great service and great food. The Christmas decorations and the music was a nice touch in December. This is food from the north of Vietnam which is different than most Vietnamese restaurants, and definitely worth a taste. The entry is a very small door but it opens up to a very large restaurant with plenty of seating.
I've tried a lot of pho spots, but after just one visit, Pho G-Beef has officially become my favorite! 😃 I also ordered the fried rice, which came with a small bowl of soup. Just look how artistic they made the fried rice look 🤌 It tasted just as good as it looked. 😋 As a photographer, I couldn't help but notice the stunning food photography on the walls, super professional and well done. 📸👏 The whole place has a lovely aesthetic, and everything was spotless. The customer service was top-notch too, which I always appreciate. Highly recommend bringing the whole family here!
A friend recommended this Vietnamese pho place for lunch, and it was a great experience! The entrance is beautifully decorated, and the interior is spotless and tidy. We ordered the signature pho—the broth is authentically simmered from bone marrow, incredibly rich and delicious. What's more, you can dip fried dough sticks into the soup! The portions are generous, and there's a wide variety of condiments. Beyond the basic sauces, there's also a jar of tangy and spicy pickled garlic with chili, adding a unique twist to the meal.
The food is good here. Service are very good. Rest rooms are clean I got a free soda because its the restaurant's anniversary:)
Generous food portions. The grilled chicken had an amazing crispy skin and tender meat. The accompanying broth-soup was had a great flavor.
Pho G-Beef is a hidden gem in San Diego for authentic Northern Vietnamese cuisine. I tried the Bun cha Ha Noi, and it was incredibly close to what I had in Hanoi — the grilled pork was flavorful, the dipping sauce was perfectly balanced, and the herbs were fresh. The ambiance is simple and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive. If you're looking for a true Northern Vietnamese culinary experience beyond just pho, Pho G-Beef is absolutely worth a visit.
First time trying this hidden gem and it did not disappoint. My first impression was the restaurant was very clean, spacious, and everything looked so new. I tried their Pho Special and as a Vietnamese, I’m not kidding when I say it was the BEST pho I’ve had in SD. The broth was flavorful, rich and with the meats and noodles together, it was perfect! This would be the only pho spot I would go to from now on! I also tried their fried rice and it was good as well. I will go back for sure to try other dishes that they have. Save this to your list for next time you craving pho :))
So Authentic this Vietnamese Cuisine I love it. I tried Pho Bo Bam add rib. Love it so much. Rib So tendon and chewable. Thick broth flavorful. Nam Dinh Pho tastes different from Ha Noi Pho. Cha Ca Thang Long is very good, the best is Shrimp paste dipping sauce - so exactly so strong smell as I tried in Vietnam. Thai tea was good with mini boba I will come back soon
First of place is really clean, and service is amazing. I got orange chicken and pho and it was delicious. The orange chicken was so good I almost wish the portion was a little more. The pho was great and the portion of it is really good. Everything is fresh, and theres a huge menu to choose from.
Just tried this Vietnamese pho spot, and it was a great experience! The interior is clean and newly remodeled—it’s hard to believe it used to be the old Chinese Yenchim restaurant. The pho broth is Northen style and super authentic, flavorful, and exactly what you'd hope for in a good bowl of pho. The portions are generous, and they’ve got something really unique—a jar of pepper and garlic pickles on the side! None of the other Vietnamese pho places I’ve been to offer that They also have some specialty dishes like Chả Cá Lã Vọng and Bún Chả Hà Nội, which are definitely worth trying. Everything I had was so good, and I’ll absolutely be back soon. Highly recommend!
Ignore the 1 star reviews previous to my review. They’re complaining about a good new restaurant. This place is great and all of my family likes it too. Everything we have all had here in the 2 times since opening met all expectations. I have eaten at dozens of pho restaurants and grew up eating homemade pho at Vietnamese friend’s houses and I liked it here.
I went here for dinner with my family on their opening day and ordered P1, P7, and spring rolls. The food was really good - all the ingredients were fresh. The place was bright and clean, and the service was attentive. The Thai milk tea was delicious - I loved that they added grass jelly to it! I'm planning to come back in a few weeks with my friends!

If you are looking for authentic “bun cha Ha Noi”, look no further. The grilled meat soaked in special sauce with thin noodles is very tasty. Portion is very generous. This is our family’s favorite dish to order, along with their signature gourmet Pho.
First of all, the bright lighting creates a cozy atmosphere. The food is plentiful and delicious. However, the wait time is a bit long because there aren't many staff members. I'll definitely go back for the Vietnamese noodles again. ^^
My family and I who were in town visiting from northern LA county happened to stumble upon this restaurant for dinner on one of our nights here. The food was amazing. Prepared fresh, authentic, and extremely fair pricing. The service was excellent as the staff was very kind. There is lots of good energy in the restaurant. You can tell the entire staff is passionate about making there restaurant one there patrons can enjoy and frequently visit. The end of our visit was capped off with a selfless and unexpected gesture. The restaurant was celebrating there one year anniversary and they gave us a kind gift. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, you will not be disappointed. Thank you staff.

The place looks very clean and well maintained. The food was INCREDIBLE. The Pho tasted authentic and as if it was made with fresh ingredients. I also ordered the bbq pork spring roll and it melted in my mouth. The mix of all the textures and flavors made it hard to stop eating it. The service was a bit slow, but we also went during a slow day. The server was kind and the food came out quick. The price of everything was reasonable, as the food was good quality.

It was my first time trying this place out. I must say that I will definitely go back. The food is authentic. I ordered a chicken & shrimp vermicelli. The shrimps were fresh, charbroiled chicken was flavorful. My friend ordered the G-Beef pho, and he was very impressed. We usually go to Xin Chào Eatery in Del Mar. and I still think Xin Chào Eatery is better (but also pricier). But this place is pretty solid for PQ neighborhood. Service staff are owners themselves, who are authentically Vietnamese. They are polite and speedy. I didn't go to the restroom today, but the environment is bright and clean. I will return.

Ordered the Bun Cha Hanoi and was a bit underwhelmed. The meat patties were dry and didn’t have that rich, porky flavor I was expecting. I was also surprised it didn’t come with fresh mint, and overall the dish needed more sweetness and acidity to really pop. It tasted a bit bland to me, and I might not come back.

I am vietnamese and I've eaten Pho my entire life. My family and my relatives also make pho. I've tried pho at all the local pho restaurants nearby and around Los Angeles and I have to say this is by far the WORST pho I've ever had in my life. The pho was actually chicken broth. There was NO beef at all. They used beef meat but the soup flavor was all chicken. I can tell because we cook chicken pho and this was all chicken flavor. The egg rolls inside were actually not cooked all the way and the pork meat was still pink. I don't want to get sick after eating here but undercooking pork is very DANGEROUS. The soup was absolutely flavorless. Do NOT waste your money coming here and the service was not good. No apologies made after we let them know about the soup or the undercooked meat. Surprising it was so bad as the pictures actually made it look good. I don't normally care about the service, but I had to flag the service everytime I needed something because I would have sat there unnoticed forever if I hadn't. This place is one of the worst places I've ever been to. Also, the responses from negative reviews by the owner is cut and paste so you know he doesn't care much about the responses, think about what it is to eat here.
