Best fried chicken I’ve ever had in the US so far, their cane’s sauce is really good. The fried chicken itself is really good too. I love the sandwich- the combo of fried crispy chicken with their soft bun and their raising canes sauce- it’s amazing
The food here is phenomenal to say the least. This is only my second time here but plan to come here from now on for chicken. The breading is one of a kind and the sweet tea reminds me of the South and East Coast. You should try it and I think you’ll agree that this is one of the best places to stop and enjoy a meal anytime of the week.
Update. Rude drive through workers. The gentleman taking my order clearly wanted to be anywhere else but there working. A female worker approached my car in the drive through and exclaimed, "Uhm you're going to let my car go first!" There was a sizeable gap from the car in front and the car to my left so I assumed I was to pull forward next, and boy was I wrong! The female at window was disheveled and looked like she had just rolled out of bed. Cane's may have better chicken but Chick at least has pleasant employees.
We liked this location because there's enough parking if you want to dine in, and seems less crowded, even with the Drive Thru. We went on a Sunday afternoon, right at lunch time. It got a bit busy, but not so bad. We got our food quickly, it was fresh and the drinks were self serve which is nice. There's a good amount of seating, and restrooms inside. My son used them before we left, but he said they were dirty:( When we go, we usually each get the 4 piece chicken box, my 9 yr old has no problem eating that one. My 2 yr old liked the fries with their sauce and bread. We just love their stuff, it's juicy and flavorful:)
Has everyone knows they only serve chicken strips but wow are they juicy and tender with a great crispy coating on the outside. The prices are way reasonable. The restaurant is across the street from the high school and school just got out so it was very very noisy but to be expected.
First time ever at Raising Cane's. Not bad! My son loves the chicken tenders & both of us enjoyed their perfect french fries! Hot & crunchy.
Food is always great, service is always great, and the interior isn't depressing minimalism. Love going here and getting a chicken sandwich
Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers on Mira Mesa Blvd is a must-visit spot for chicken lovers in San Diego. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by a lively and inviting atmosphere that sets the stage for a satisfying meal. The star of the show, of course, is their chicken fingers--perfectly golden, crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside. They are hands-down some of the best chicken fingers you'll ever taste. Pair them with their signature Cane's sauce, which adds a creamy, tangy kick that takes the flavor to the next level. One of the underrated highlights of Raising Cane's is their fountain Diet Coke. If you're a fan of fountain sodas, this is where Cane's truly excels. It's ice-cold, perfectly carbonated, and just hits differently--ideal for washing down their incredible chicken fingers. For those who don't drink soda, their sweet tea and lemonade are also great options and complement the meal perfectly. When ordering, don't forget to ask for "BOB" (butter on both sides) for the Texas toast. This simple upgrade transforms their already-delicious toast into a buttery, golden delight that you won't want to share. The buttery crunch paired with the soft interior makes it a standout side that competes with the main dish. Trust me--once you try it this way, you'll never go back to the regular toast again. Overall, Raising Cane's on Mira Mesa Blvd delivers a consistently excellent experience. The chicken is always fresh, the service is friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere is upbeat. Whether you're stopping in for a quick lunch, a family dinner, or a late-night craving, this spot is sure to leave you satisfied. Make sure to add it to your list if you haven't already--it's a finger-licking good time!
Chicken is tasty, could be crisper...but I came on the busiest day... so perhaps I caught them on an off day.
The tastiest chicken strips! So tender! I also like the lemonade and sweet tea. Reminds me of restaurants in Texas which all have sweet tea!
We love raising canes. Food is always excellent and consistent. Bummed that they felt they needed to put a lock on the bathrooms, and they forget the coleslaw often at this location. The music inside can be really loud sometimes, too. We've eaten here a dozen or so times.
Surprising number of vegan side dish options such as fried green beans. My boyfriend said the chicken strips are excellent.
Had lunch there, the service was good ,food was good, and the atmosphere was good. and to top off our great dining experience the temperature in there was perfect nice and cool.
I love it. To get started, everything here is so organized and fast. When we walked in, there was a line, but it went by fast because of the amazing and quick service. The place was a little busy, but that's not an issue because they worked hard getting all the orders out in satisfactory time. Our order was ready and it was so good. The chicken is great, the fries are nice, the toast is good, and the sauce. The sauce absolutely fantastic. Moving ok from the food, I ate inside. The interior design is so nice here. I love the art on the wall, the writing that is hanging up, and that there are some history on the walls bout how they got the name "Raising Cane's." The previous time I came, it was drive thru, and it went pretty quick. I would totally recommend this place if it is nearby, and you and/or your friends are in the mood to eat somewhere unique *all for a reasonable price* . 10/10
Had fun due to it being Halloween and a lot of young kids came in to eat while wearing costumes. Made it enjoyable and fun to watch.
Bobby was awesome, fixed an issue with the order super quick and the food was great. Thanks dude!
Ordered food and it was ready when I picked up. A bit cold, but ready. Everything came neatly packed and in paper bags easy to carry out to my car.
Heard about Can's Chicken Strips for awhile and decided to finally try it out. We went in the morning around 11. No cars in line and the food came out hot and delicious. I will say this, the longer you wait to eat the chicken the less crunchy they become. But even colder I thought they were good. The coleslaw was soooo delicious. The fries were equally delicious. Texas toast yum. A week later we went again same time. This time I barely got any fries and the chicken was not so hot and crunchy but still good. However, for me the coleslaw made up for it. I love their coleslaw.
Only place around open to get food after a long night out. 2am. I love the Elvis booth. Foods great and service and don't forget to ask for your Mil. Rate with your ID.
12369 is for the restroom, in case you're looking for it 🫡 I absolutely love this place, no matter what time of day, Canes never fails to deliver delicious and consistent chicken 🔥
I went to this fast food spot last week with a buddy after work. The place was clean and the staff said hello right when we came in, which was nice. My burger was cooked well and the fries were hot n crispy, maybe a little salty but still good. Prices were pretty fair for what you get. Service took a few mins longer than I expected, but they were friendly about it so I didnt really mind. Overall I’d defintely go again when I want something quick and easy.
only 30 seconds for our 2 3-finger combos. amazing service. amazing chicken, fries, sauce, etc. food was very fresh, one of the best fast food places here ive been to so far im honestly blown away
Canes never misses. Vibes were chill and the food was straight fire. Got the Box Combo (no coleslaw because I’m picky lol) and everything slapped. Texas toast was elite, chicken fingers were crunchy and bussin’, and of course, Canes sauce is the real MVP. Fries hit too. Got a lemonade, cup size was actually solid. Staff was super chill and helpful. Price was like $12, kinda up there, but honestly you get a lot of food so it’s worth it. Bathroom code btw is 22467. Easy 5/5.
The chicken was tender and juicy, and the sauce was even better when I added a little Louisiana hot sauce. The toast and fries hit the spot, the tea wasn’t too sweet, and the coleslaw was super fresh and crunchy with just the right balance.
Raising Canes is always consistently good. Chicken is always fresh and delicious. Drive Thru is a long line sometimes but always goes quick. Will order an extra canes sauce to go with the 4 piece combo. Hint: slice the bread and put the chicken, fries and coleslaw with canes sauce to get a secretly awesome canes sandwich!

Good food, good service, good portion sizes. Employees are nice and the food is very very quick.
The food is delicious, but I'm honestly not sure why people get so obsessed with this place. It's way over priced for what you're getting, there is always a long line in the drive thru, and not a huge space for seating inside.
The Raising Cane's location in Mira Mesa is a place where I have never eaten in-house dining. However, I have done carry-out on many occasions. The food is very good. However, the chicken is not as crisp, but maybe that is how Raising Cane's chicken is. I prefer a crispier crust, but the chicken is very tender and tasty. The fries are awesome, and so is the coleslaw and their Raising Cane's sauce, which is absolutely great. The garlic toast is also pretty awesome. My family is a big fan of this place.
Drive thru is quick but they weren't on top of it when I got to the window. They found my order after 3 tries. I could hear them having difficulty with my drink and they handed it to me partially spilled. Food was fresh and hot. I do wonder how safe the packaging is under that heat though.
Tried this for the first time. The food was good but not sure I would go out of my way to have it again.
First time eating at Raising Cane's. I ordered a chicken sandwich combo. This was at dinner time and the restaurant was bustling with teens and young adults. The atmosphere was upbeat. The food arrived before I finished pouring my drink. The food was very good and fresh. The fries were a little soft and could have been fried a bit longer. The only issue I had was they charge $0.80 for an extra sauce. Sauce that some employee is squirting out of a bulk bottle into small cups. Later that evening I visited Dave's Hot Chicken to try it out and was given (upon request) as many sauces as I wanted. For a chicken restaurant that features a famous sauce, I would expect them to offer more upon request. Regardless, I'll be returning.
Food is pretty good but not overall the best fast food chicken out there, and it really leans on the canes sauce to get a lot of its flavor. The location and environment are great places to eat and hang out though, and the food is perfect for workout recovery so me and my sports team often come here. I would definitely recommend it!
I went through the drive thru for my very first raising canes experience. I wasn’t sure what to get but I happened to be the only one in line! The employee taking my order was super patient and knowledgeable, he even knew all the drinks on the menu. Loved the customer service and I appreciated the patience a ton. The chicken tenders weren’t my favorite, but just because they weren’t my taste doesn’t mean they weren’t of good quality. The food was hot and well prepared.
I like the idea of two lines outside taking orders. The choices of things on the menu are slim, which I find a good thing. I hate having to read a list of things that I really don't want. Just decide how many pieces of chicken you want and do you want the Cole slaw, that's it. The chicken is crisp like a good fried chicken should be, it's tender, and it's not dry. It truly is a good piece of chicken. The slaw is very good, and the fries are very good. The price is a victim of an unqualified governors policy. $18.00 for eight pieces. I remember when a 21-piece bucket of Kentucky chicken was five or six bucks. But the meal here was very good for one person. I plan to enjoy it for as long as they are in the state. And when they leave, I will probably be right behind them. Enjoy, they are a good meal.
Food w as hot and quick, it wasn't dirty. I was there late night and it was comfortable being there to talk with my company
Went through drive through it was around 5:15 pm and the food was accurate and good but took 18 minutes in the drive thru to get my food. Just a little longer than I planned on waiting for fast food but the employee was nice
Chicken fingers were really good and pretty juicy. I got an extra sauce but it wasn't needed at all...but oh well. The fries were a bit too salty. I swapped the slaw with more fries. The toast was absolutely perfect. Line is still pretty long. Waited 35 minutes. Might come back once the hype dies down. Only reason why I gave 4 stars is because my Sprite had no taste. Literally just carbonated water. How do you guys screw up the easiest thing?
We don't come here often because it's not in my area but here's my review on the 5 box combos we ordered: Small chicken fingers but really moist and crunchy. Basic crinkle fries but really good, I like the toast but it always more on the soft side because they put it in the box with all the other hot food so it gets steamed, therefore not really "toast" like. The Canes sauce is not spicy at all, but has a tangy pepper flavor, we love it! If the chicken fingers were bigger I would give 5 stars! Decent price for what's in the box, 4 chicken fingers, fries, toast, 1 sauce and a drink. We went through the drive thru and had 5 meals but each person wanted theirs a certain way. Well they got each one right!! 😊The employees were very nice and efficient, we'll be back soon. 😋
First time visitors from Florida here and tried this chain. Have heard good things about the food, so wanted to come to our own conclusion. Not a huge selection of food, as long as you want chicken tenders in some way, shape or form. But that’s ok! Everything that we’ve ordered from here was tasty and hot. Their canes sauce was that something extra special that made the food that much better. Servers were helpful and friendly and the restaurant appeared to be cleaned and maintained. Definitely see some future visits coming soon.
Food is always really good, nice to see locations in Cali after visiting them for years in Texas. The chicken, the fries, and the french toast are all perfect. Pair it with their sauce and it's really perfection. However, my only gripe is the chicken fingers felt smaller than I'm used to. The price is pretty reasonable, $10 for 3 small chicken fingers, crinkle cut fries, a french toast, and a 20oz drink. Also keep in mind if you want more canes sauce, it's roughly $0.5 per sauce.
Got the Box Combo with 4 Chicken Fingers, Texas Toast, Crinkle-Cut Fries, Coleslaw, and a regular Sweet Tea. The chicken was tasty, very tender, and juicy. The Cane's dipping sauce was good, but better when I mixed in a packet of the Louisiana Hot Sauce. The Texas Toast and Crinkle-Cut Fries were good. The Sweet Tea was not overly sweet. The Coleslaw was excellent, crunchy fresh, with a perfect balance of vinegar and sweetness.
This Mira Mesa Raising Cane’s location is one of the few in the San Diego area, and it has quickly become a favorite for many. The food here is undeniably delicious, capturing the authentic flavors and quality you expect from Cane’s. While the chicken portions might seem on the smaller side, the taste and freshness more than make up for it. Each bite is a delightful experience, and the menu offers a great variety to satisfy different cravings. What really sets this location apart is the service. The staff is exceptionally friendly and welcoming, always ready to make your dining experience as pleasant as possible. Their warm and attentive demeanor adds a personal touch that makes you feel right at home. The atmosphere of the restaurant is another standout feature. The vibrant decorations with vivid colors create a lively and enjoyable environment. The addition of disco balls hanging from the ceiling adds a fun, retro vibe that enhances the overall dining experience. It’s a place where you can enjoy good food and good times, whether you’re dining alone, with family, or with friends. Another highlight is the beverage selection. The fountain drinks feature a variety of Coca-Cola products, offering a refreshing complement to your meal. Among the options, you’ll find something for everyone, making it easy to pair your favorite drink with your food. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this Mira Mesa Cane’s location is definitely worth a visit. The combination of tasty food, friendly service, and a great atmosphere ensures a satisfying dining experience every time. We’re looking forward to returning and trying more from their menu.
Good, supple, juicy chicken fingers made from breast meat. Coating is just the right amount. However, the flavor is very light, if you don’t dip them in the sauce. Texas Toast was the highlight of the combo we got. It’s really, really good! Popeyes are better both in flavor and variety of meat (dark, white) available.

Food was good. Got 2 Box combos. Chicken was burning hot to touch, fries were ok, and toast was buttered and delicious. The combo came with some coleslaw, and some cane sauce. Service was slightly lower than an average place would be. They didn’t hand us any straws with our drinks so we had to ask. Most floors were clean, except under the tables. Seats were dirty. Real dirty with chicken crumbs in the cracks of the seats too. Drink fountain had some random ice laying there. Nice decor though. Noise level was loud as a normal restaurant would be. Around the restaurant is a large parking area and a few stores. Would kinda recommend…..
It's standard fried chicken, on par with other fried chicken chains, but generally more expensive and lower quality/cost value. For some reason a lot of people really like them, but there's really nothing special about their food at all.
Good atmosphere and service but I can't get the hype around Raising Cane's after coming here twice. The chicken feels overly greasy and flavorless in my opinion. I've gotten much better tenders at Jack in the Box in the past. Cane's sauce also doesn't seem to do much to improve the chicken flavor. I'll have to try the fingers without the sauce next time to see if that's any better.
This location is always busy but they do a great job at keeping up with the pace. You’ll always get your food super fast which is great. The location itself though needs some attention from a management perspective. The soap dispenser in the restroom has always been broken for the past 2 years 😂 most of the cashiers are great but a few need more training. For example, i asked for no toast extra fries extra sauce, i got no toast extra slaw extra fries extra sauce instead so got overcharged an extra 4 bucks. $21 for a box combo does not sound reasonable. I tried to explain to the cashier but she was lost. I’d treat this location as a “order on the app and pick up to go” kind of place
Love Cane's and it has become a staple of some of my late night cravings. Whenever I go there is good service and nice staff that treat you very kindly and I have no issues whatsoever. But tonight, my order was wrong and I decided to call to give feedback in hopes that I could get compensated in some way since I paid for the Box combo but only got the three finger combo. Basically, one tender and a coleslaw was missing. No big deal. I called and a lady with a very rude demeanor picked up. Likely a lead since she said she saw the orders being made and bagged. I explained my situation and she asked in a very snappy tone "what do you want me to do about it?" And I replied, "I'm not sure, but I wanted to let you know and possibly get some kind of compensation since I paid for something I didn't recieve." She then asked what the receipt said and I told her and she said that I got the box combo because she apparently saw it go out. I clearly didn't because I am missing a coleslaw and a tender. So then I said "I wasn't sure what happened but I didn't recieve the box combo." She then firmly told me she doesn't know what I want her to do and said bye and hung up on me. I never have issues with this location and never had an experience like this, but it just left a bad taste in my mouth and made me feel pretty unimportant as a customer. Hoping this review can improve customer service...
Serving was pretty substantial. I got the box combo, which is 4 strips of chicken with fries, Texas toast, coleslaw and their secret sauce and a drink. I ordered mine through the app for pickup and I like that when I got there, they were finishing up my order, so I got it hot and did not have to wait long. I definitely would recommend ordering ahead if you can, because the line gets busy during lunch hours. The chicken and fries were crisp and sufficiently salted. The secret sauce was pretty tasty too. Plenty of seats and they have some booths options too. The place seems clean and tidy. Pretty great for a fast food place.

Lovely sunny patio. Friendly, fast And knowledgeable team. Clean bright dining room and fully functioning soda and Katsup fountain...but damn the food is boring. Chicken and fries? Nothing else? No hot spicy wings? No Nashville fried chicken? It's like a children's menu. This was my first time trying any Caine's chicken. Sure they juicy, properly salted and crispy, but so flavorless. I won't be back. They better adapt their menu to local tastes or they are doomed. Look around at what San Diego and like. $18 dino-nugget plates ain't going to build much local following in this state. Go to Dirty Birds instead and have some of their 20 different flavors of dry and or wet hot wings. I recommend any of the local favorite Crack Shack locations for good chicken sandwhiches.
First time here and was looking forward to it after all the hype. At least a 25 minute wait in the drive-thru. Honestly, if you presented this to me and told me it was from Jack-in-the-box, I’d believe you. They specialize in chicken strips but there was nothing special about it. Tasted average, like you could get this off of any menu. If a restaurant specializes in some thing it better be off the charts. Now, looks can be deceiving. My picture looks decent, right? Well here goes…food was bland- fries were unsalted, bread was toasted with barely a hint of butter, and mild seasoning on the chicken strips. I give two stars for the chicken being temperature hot upon eating & also good texture and the cane sauce was tasty. Also, ordered 10 strips and received two containers of cane sauce. Ran out of sauce on the 6th strip. Save yourself the trip.
Ok food. Busy place. Expect to clean your own table before you sit down though and take out your own trash. The employees sit in the dinning room and play on their phones and when they come in from the drive through they just look at the trash on the ground and on the tables and laugh. This team needs some work on being attentive.
I love Raising Cane's but the quality of the food at this location has gone downhill. Both the fries and tenders have been routinely undercooked and the coleslaw is always looking pretty rough. I used to eat here several times a week but I've stopped.
This was my first time, picking up food sort of late at night through the drive-through and asking for extra hot sauce, seemed to be a problem for the person working at the window. She had a very long ponytail with hat, just gave me a glare when I asked kindly for stuff, not sure if she was just having a bad night or what.. would rather drive to a further, raising Cane’s, then come back here to be quite honest

$15 for 4 chicken stripe amd they gave me half pieces?? That's like getting 2 pieces of stripes and the guy at the drive thru window has no customer service skills. Didn't greet, wouldn't return a smile and I thanked him instead of him thanking me and in return I received what seemed like a bad attitude. won't be returning to this location at all.
Not only so expensive for three pieces of chicken almost $20 but I got in and I was hit with the sewer smell and manager that I don’t know where he is from doesn’t even care. I told them stinks over here like so. Yeah whatever OK I’m leaving yeah whatever reallyyou’re fired.
This is our second time at canes and we can't believe they only have chicken tenders ... idk its all kinda bland to us not a place we will be going back to.
On August 17 i got Canes to take out. When I was going back to my car this lady hit the front bumper of my car. When i asked for her information she just drove away leaving me with nothing. I was in shock and I went to ask the Canes for any camera footage or any sort of help, but they didn’t try to help at all. I was begging for help but the workers were being disrespectful and told me there’s nothing they could do. Catch me at the canes in poway . ✌️
As if the place wasn't already great its OK ish food, these idiots closed down for a stupid sports game..
It’s Monday at 4pm and only 4 cars in front. Still took 20 minutes. Food came out warm with flimsy fries and tenders not crispy at all. Asked for extra sauce they charge $0.45 for one. Paid the $0.45 and they gave me one. See the size of the sauce. Very poor experience. Paid over $16 plus $.45 for 1 extra sauce and not crispy flimsy luke warm food. Come on Raising Crane. Expected much better service and quality.
The only thing I will be purchasing from now on at Canes is the gallons of Lemonade & Sweet Tea. Last few times I’ve been there— fries are not cooked. Mind you there’s been weeks in between my visits. Drive through is crazy!
Service is really great, but I do not like the food lol.
This is the second time in the past 2 weeks I have had this issue with this location. And they don’t offer you more sauce if you don’t ask for it. I love Canes but this is just sad for what you pay. I don’t think I’ll be going to this location I will have my chance with the Santee location they are so much nicer and my food is always on point. This location is faster but this is what you get.
Ordered online for curbside in hopes it would be faster than going through the drive thru IT WAS NOT! I didn’t know where to check in initially so went through the drive thru and there was only one other car. The girl said I had to go to the mobile pick up so I had to reverse and luckily it was not busy. I then sat in curbside waiting for my order while other cars came and went through the drive thru. My baby was sleeping in the car so I had enough waiting and tried the drive thru again. The guy said it was fine and had me pull up. I asked the girl why it was issue to grab my order from the beginning she said I had to use curbside which I said understandable but I was having issues checking in originally. While I understand I also think they made it more than it was for no reason. I work in customer service and know sometimes exceptions can be made. I wouldn’t have said anything but I’m tired of terrible customer service . I was grabbing my husband lunch since he got stuck working the holiday and I had my 8 month old baby with me so it was frustrating sitting there waiting when they weren’t that busy. I’ve never been to a place that will refuse to give you your order unless you are in the designated parking spot.
Been trying to eat at this location and Menifee but the last 3 times I’ve gone to both locations they have been out of honey mustard. Personally I don’t like the canes sauce on the chicken. Normally I would understand that places run out of items but, since I’ve previously worked at canes as manager, I know that the only reason they’re out is because managers aren’t doing their jobs. Managers are responsible for making their 2 options of sauce. Daily for canes and every 2-3 days for honey mustard. It’s sad that canes can be out of stock on an item when they have less than 5 options of everything they sell.
Looking forward to the Poway location. After years of coming here after work, I can confidently say this place has gone completely downhill. I recently ordered a caniac combo, my 6 tenders literally weighed less than a 8 piece nuggets at an unnamed fast food place that cost me 14% of the caniac combo. Cane has always been my favorite location to visit on my way home, but I can pray the Poway location will be like this place was when it opened. Edit: I started this review after seeing the fourth tender (which as you can see is smaller than my first finger) and when I picked up the 5th it was literally already ripped in half, but the other half was missing.... Seriously?
CANES IS NOW SCREWING YOU. PAYING MORE AND GETTING LESS. Canes used to be known for great portion sized strips and fries. I’ve been going for years and the past several visits (different locations), the chicken strips are laughable at best. A french fry was longer than a couple pieces. “Oh, supply chain, each location source differently, blah blah..” Bull$hit. The service is lacking as well. Used to be consistent, now it’s GenZ morons, students who’ll never understand customer service. F&$k Canes. This ends spending my hard earned money at Canes.
