Excellent breakfast...for a price.😉 Loaded up on some favorites. Salmon, salami, and prosciutto were excellent. Wouldn't want to splurge like this every morning, but no regrets at all.

They give you the bill before you eat, and I was originally very concerned about the high price, by the end of our meal I realized it was worth every penny. Best breakfast buffet I have ever had.

It's rare I will love a breakfast buffet, however, the Seaview restaurant at the Manchester Hyatt in San Diego is an exception. From the fresh fruit and omelet bar to the bagels and really delicious coffee, the food was exceptional. The service was even better. Worth every penny, I would highly recommend the Seaview.

We did not expect this lever of service walking into that restaurant for breakfast. We stayed at the hotel for seven nights and on day one we were honored to have Serawit as our server. He is exceptional at what he does. It’s been weeks since our trip and our kids still talk about our morning chats with Serawit. He always made sure we had everything we needed. He went above and beyond. I guess if you look for the same sever every morning to be seated in his section that tells you how special he is. Oh and the food was excellent as well.

Pretty diverse enough selection of breakfast options. Food was pretty good however it is extremely pricey. Service was excellent, everyone we spoke to had a great personality and attitude. If you do not have a big appetite in the morning like myself then there may be more affordable options. Other than the price the overall experience was great.

Absolutely divine food! My only complaint was that they said it was 35 and charged me 45? I didn’t understand ten up charge.

We enjoyed brunch year. It’s such a beautiful venue. It’s clean and welcoming. The hot water for tea was lukewarm. The food was great!! I wish the teapot contained hot water.

There is nothing wrong with the Seaview restaurant, but that there is nothing right for its priceyness. I dont mind paying $40+ per person for a breakfast experience but the experience should match the rate. The bin of scrambled eggs looked no different then those served in a motel, massed produced for hundreds. There was no 'sea' view...in fact it felt like a windowless banquet hall. I did find a window way in the back with a view of giant globs of concrete. I ordered a cappuccino (additional cost) and it looked and tasted like it was made from some rapid dispense machine like u might see at a motel breakfast, clearly no barista. Too be fair, there was alot of food selections but it all tasted just ok and it felt like there was less of a chef orchestrating this meal and more of a cook. Having had many high dollar buffet experiences in the past and many motel free buffets as well...this leaned closer to the motel experience but at a larger scale. Don't let the pics real you in, skip it. With all that said we will probably eat there again this morning simply because we are checking out and tight on time....which is probably how they get away with producing a high dollar mediocre buffet.

I actually rate the breakfast at 2.5 stars because of the pricing in comparison to quality and quantity. If you aren't a big eater, then save your money and go to another venue for breakfast. Doing so may save you a little bit of money, and most importantly, the quality of food may be much better elsewhere! If you have kids, then save your money and find a IHOP or McDonald's! I saw two families with children where the kids were only nibbling on fruit or pancake, and I couldn't help but think how nice it must be to spend that much for food and your kid only nibbles?! I went in with average expectations based on reading previous reviews and I must say that I was disappointed because even with not-so-high expectations -- the food fell below that line. Eggs were runny, bacon was overcooked, mini pancakes sticking to each other and the pork sausage just average (McDonald's breakfast sausage may have more flavor). I suppose having been in the warmers had something to do with the lack of kick in taste, but overall, the food was nothing special and not worth the price tag. Yes, you can go back for as many servings as you'd like, but with the lack of great taste, you're not in a hurry to go back for seconds 👀 Everything at the buffet bar looked clean and watched after. The omelet area looked nice and popular. The service was a 50/50. The gentleman came around asking if we wanted more to drink even though our cups were still full, but when they were empty and I had moved my glass to about 3 different spots on the table to try and catch his attention, he didn't come back to refill! 🥴🤦‍♀️ Another gentleman had come to clear a plate when we weren't ready, but then never returned to clear the obvious plates to take away. I tried this for the experience because I love brunch buffets, but I can't say I will be back. I don't mind paying a good amount of money for food, but at least have the food be worth the price tag. Even with inflation across the board, I couldn't justify the $35/person cost.

Good service but the food was extremely sub-par. Luke warm food from warmers. Everything was devoid of any seasonings. Powdered eggs?!?! Donuts, cheese, and yogurt. Save your money and get the free breakfast at a Hampton Inn, it's basically the same.

It was explained as a California law, kind of left him scratching my head about that one! So this is a huge dining room at Marriott grande. Choose to sit outside and you have a few of the marina which was very nice and quiet. Array of muffins were very nice and fresh! Blackberries strawberries blueberries were fresh and abundant. Avocado toast with basil was very good! I enjoyed the meal and food was good however I would not choose to go here again because of the price. No senior discount!

Considering I spent $40 for breakfast buffer, I was disappointed to find the tastiest items were the pastries, which I'm sure we're brought in. It's a nice dining room, service was slow but not terrible, but I cannot recommend the breakfast buffet to humans with taste buds.

Extremely overpriced, certainly not a “cheery” atmosphere as described, terrible coffee, overcooked and dried bacon, asked the omelette station to make 2 eggs over easy and they broke them, a sorry excuse for “avocado toast” - there’s barely a sniff of avocado on them. And all this for the low price of $40 + tip. Stay away!!
