The Cliffs Cafe

So glad I finally checked out this place! Whether you eat plant-based daily, are lactose-intolerant, or just looking for something healthy and local, this cafe is a gem. Solid selection of pastries, build-your-own açaí bowls, vegan breakfast sandwiches, and some non-espresso latte options (chaga, turmeric, etc). Will be recommending to friends!

The people at Ultreya are always friendly and ready to help. Their drinks are also very solid and delicious. I love me a Happy Hippie, and that’s most definitely the vibe here. Even the little goods they sell in the store are cool too.

Jules & team are absolutely fantastic! We had a big group of out of towners with lots of items ordered, and everyone was so kind, patient, and took time to explain and recommend drinks and eats! We definitely will come back!

This is my favorite study spot in San Diego! A friend introduced me to the cute coffee shop a couple of years ago, and I've been hooked ever since. All of the employees are incredibly kind, and I haven't had a drink I haven't liked (although if you like your matcha on the sweeter side, this is not the place for that). The Valentine's Day menu was also so good, and I hope that will return next year!

Everything in this beautiful coffee shop is perfect. The merchandise, the baristas, the plants, the drinks and food! Makes me happy every time.

I love this neighborhood coffee shop. Plenty of parking. A great place to hang. They are upgrading and sprucing up to make it even more efficient while maintaining its vibrant yet cozy feel. With all the coffee selections, I have several favorites and I always get one of their bakery options to enjoy.

Food and drinks are bomb, coffee is delicious, atmosphere is super vibes for a chat or to study. Never had a bad experience here and the prices are decent too compared to the quality you get for cost at other shops!

This is legit my favorite coffee shop in all of San Diego. Not only is their service great, but the quality of their drinks is unmatched. They have the most unique ideas and creations (as well as the classics) and every new idea they have I enjoy. I would highly recommend, it's a really cute shop as well and a great place to hang out!

Ultreya is my GO TO coffee spot. Coffee? amazing. so many vegan options! Food? out of this world. you can’t go wrong with any of their breakfast sandwiches (try a combo of the green AND red sauce - thank me later) Atmosphere? great vibes, dope humans and cute little shop inside.

I love Ultreya Coffee! Their flavors are always spot on and well balanced. The quality of the coffee is fantastic. I also love their bagel sandwiches (which can be made vegan). Really great atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of outlets nearby!

I went here often while attending SDSU, and just came back to study because I was in the area. It was really peaceful and I was reminded why I like this place so much. The coffee, food, and service has always been stellar. The staff members are really nice and helpful, and the coffee always tastes great, no matter what drink you get. I really appreciate that they have macadamia milk, something you don't always see at coffee spots. I got the Hash & Cheese today and it was flavorful and filling. The atmosphere has gotten a lot better since I was last here (it's been a while). I really like the new chairs they've gotten since they're a lot more comfortable, and the new artwork on the wall solidifies the cozy and inviting vibe you get when you're there. I also love their merch and stickers. I still have one of their corduroy hats I got back around 2022. I definitely recommend Ultreya and plan to come back sometime soon! I visited this coffee shop almost every day while touring San Diego. The service is perfect. The food and the coffee is amazing and the atmosphere is so friendly. I also love the other products they have in their crystal candles. I definitely scooped a couple of those up. I will definitely be back!

Friendly service, hip yet nourishing menu offering, beautiful decor (and great playlist too). Great non-dairy options for beverages. I got the butterfly effect latte and it was comforting and mood-elevating. Any hippie soul would feel at home here.

Their adaptogen matcha has been in a chokehold. Guaranteed good day that you can drink, it’s like a life pack. Plus the vibe in here is peak — everything you’d want on a bad day or when you are craving a cozy place to work, draw, be with a friend, be alone. Music and femme staff are always matching that vibe. They nailed it.

I usually come in for matcha with macadamia and it’s delicious! In my opinion, it’s even better than some popular matcha specialty shops in SD. Try their breakfast sandwiches too 😍

Was looking for a good cup of coffee and boy I found one. Many varieties was very happy with my selection and the atmosphere was awesome. They even had an outside sitting area also dog friendly wish I had my pup.

Staff handed me a sample of another drink since I was curious. Second time, I ordered the summit fever. Solid spot for your caffeine needs. Definitely a wide variety of interesting drinks! Customer service pushed this from 4 to 5 stars! Quite a bit of seating inside. Outlets are a little wobbly, so be aware.

Very lovely coffee shop! They have shirts, stickers and other goodies for sale on one side and a good amount of seating on the other. They also have “day old” pastries that still taste great, especially if they warm it up for you. Good wifi connection as well so would be a chill place to get some work done as well. Will be returning!

The vibe here feels like home, absolutely inviting, warm, loving. Drinks are wonderful but the rosemary bagel is off the charts fantastic.. like for reals . Oh and the hand made candles and eo car diffuser are different than most other places. Very well made

Every time I have out of town guests, I have to always bring them to the OB location! Every drink is so unique and tasty, plus the vibes and gift shop are always a bonus!

Nice quaint quite spot. Great for a quick coffee and Avocado toast with cayenne Pepper sprinkled proportionately over it. Perfect for me. Not heavy, nor filling, but just right for the light savory eaters....they have other stuff too for you sweet toothed folks, and Brazilian themed bowls for those that partake in those pleasures...may try it on an alternate visit....Enjoy!

I had the Break The Fast Sandwich and it was delicious! The hash brown wasn’t as crispy as I was hoping, but still good. I also had an iced oat milk latte that tasted amazing! Highly recommend.

I was excited to try this place since someone posted it on a vegan pg and was pumped on the sandwiches (got the BLT as posted), but was sadly disappointed. It was on the dry side and lacked a good pt of the greens (the thin layer you see was all there was), and tbh was on the skimpy side for a 10$ sandwich. If you're gonna charge that amount at least make it heafty enough so that I'm not hungry an hr later. I thought maybe it was the sandwich itself and was gonna give it another try, but looking at the other pictures on here... seems I might've gotten the 'bigger' one they offer. I can't imagine paying up to 14$ for a flattened sandwich that looks like I could make a better one at home. :( The drinks looked good, but for 3/4 the price of what the sandwich was, I had to skip it. (I'm not a Starbucks fan, so maybe if you're used to $8.50? drinks then you'll have no issue.) The muffins/pastries looked amazing as well and considered getting one, but a fly was chilling on the bottom level on the food and I just couldn't. I know some things are uncontrollable, but still.... Also a recommendation for being a bit more earth friendly (vibe I got being there), maybe pack your to-go sandwiches in a paper bag. The huge plastic shell for just a small sandwich was a bit unnecessary. If I had known I would've just asked to have it 'to eat there' and wrapped napkins on it. Just a cost effective tip as well

If I'm going to treat myself to an expensive coffee, let it be here. Their menu is definitely unique and caters to people who enjoy non-dairy milks and are into health foods. I ordered a "Day-tripper" which was an unfamiliar delight to my palate. Coconutty, rich, not very sweet (I added two packets of C&H). I recommend it. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, I felt like I could make polite conversation with anyone - patrons and employees. The also have cute small-business trinkets: earrings, stickers, lighters, etc. Very hippie! There is also plenty of parking. I look forward to trying their other drinks.

Coffee had very little flavor, and they only offer whole milk. When I asked for my lukewarm latte to be made extra hot, the barista offered to microwave it, something I’ve never heard in a cafe. Not worth visiting again.
