Opinions de The Living Room Cafe San Diego
This is a pretty cozy spot that a lot of college students use to study and hang out. There are a lot of tables both inside and outside, but it tends to be crowded. The atmosphere feels cozy but because of the usual amount of people can get a little loud. The food and drinks are good, I haven't had an issue with it.
Ive been coming to the living room for over 3 years now. There has not been a day where they have disappointed me. Their food is spectacular along with the atmosphere of the cafe. I have made amazing friends with the workers over the years and they have provided me with the best hospitality. Would definitely recommend!
Cozy little place that doesn't let the fact that your across the street from a mortuary ruin your day. Breakfast sandwich will bring anyone back to the world of the living asking for another bite.
I've been coming here since freshman year and I love it. Super chill place to study, the Wi-Fi is dependable, and the food/drinks are reasonably priced. There's parking in the back but if you're not there early you might need to park on the street because it gets filled halfway through the day.
I absolutely loved the food and the atmosphere. Customer service is spot on. 10/10 would recommend the spinach quiche and iced matcha latte. Patio seating is available for the nicer weather.
Great place to order and get excellent customer service Awesome food you name they'll provite it
This establishment is both aesthetically pleasing and offers a delightful culinary experience. It serves as an ideal location for studying or meeting with colleagues. The ambiance is conducive to intellectual pursuits and fosters a studious atmosphere. I indulged in a smoothie, a grilled cheese sandwich, and a bowl of tomato soup, all of which were exceptionally delectable.
I love the living room, and I go there to study at least a couple times a week. It’s often hard to find a table, but I’ll just sit at a tiny table or outside and wait until someone leaves so I can get a better spot. Lots of outlets everywhere, even outside! Pretty much wherever there is a chair and table, there’s an outlet. Their drinks and pastries are GREAT, and most of the food has been pretty good (except the crepes, they were pretty bad). It’s great for study groups, there’s lots of big tables that seat 4-8 people. If you’re coming for the first time, I’d call and ask how busy they are because on weekend afternoons, sometimes I’ll come and there’s not a single table open. Id call ahead especially if you’re not super comfortable watching others like a hawk and swooping in when they are about to leave, so you can get the table before someone else does. When you see someone leaving, just ask them if they are, and sit one of your belongings on the table to claim it!
The foods here is variously inclusive. There is American, Mexican, a bit Italian, so on and forth. The atmosphere is lovely! Doesn’t matter it’s weekdays or weekends, business hours or not, it would always pack with people. I recommend that if you want to have a meeting with friends here, avoid the hour frame from 9am-11am and 5pm-7pm because it will be packed with people. Well, to be honest, it really based on how lucky you are when you get there though. Overall, it is the best lounge space for studying, meeting, and all.
We recently bought an ooni Pizza Oven and then went to The Living Room in Rancho San Diego for pizza dough. The dough was fantastic and made the pizza perfect. If you need pizza dough get it at The Living Room. If you don't want to make it go to The Living Room and order their pizza...it is fantastic!
I love this place, such a great place to catch up with your friend share some fries and drink some drinks! I haven't tasted or drank anything bad, and the service is the best, the girls and guys that are there are super nice! You will always find sitting because it's pretty spacious whether inside or outside. Sometimes parking sucks, but that's is about it.
Can get crowded, I typically take food to go. Have stayed there but can be hard to find a seat especially with a group
It's a great place to have coffee and spend time with friends or simply study.
Super cool coffee spot with a variety of areas to sit and read, study, or work. It was super busy the night that we were there, hard to find a table.
Good coffee, I love the atmosphere inside and out. Service is good depending when you go in. Honestly, during the mornings and school nights, when students are in session it takes a while to get drinks, so just be aware and patient about that. **parking**: they have some parking in the back, not really truck/van friendly, just a heads up on that. But there is street parking on El cajon Blvd. And further down in the neighborhood, making a short walk to the shop. But who doesn't need to get some steps in?? I know i could always use them. Check out their pastries... yummmmm! Dog friendly on the patio.
I have been going here for over 10yrs. I love this place! It is not a place for quickness but a place to come, get a delicious cup of strong coffee or freshly bagged tea and settle in to write, study or catch up with an old friend. Their regular coffee is strong and not bitter like that other famous coffee place. They have a fabulous 2 egg breakfast that allows you customize egg, potato and bread choices. Their Mexican skillet, oatmeal, acai bowl are also great choices for breakfast. I love their lentil soup, salad, fruit and bread combo also. They also have delicious parties and baked goods including the yummiest almond croissants!
Great food and a decent atmosphere to study in, but it does get pretty loud. The fresh orange juice is life changing 😋
Food was good and the staff was very sweet and helpful with the menu. Plus it is a lovely place to sit and eat and work on computer or have a nice time with friends
I love this lil cafe! Their busiest times are probably 11-1 and 5-7 and I think they do amazing since usually it's just two or three of them up front. I do prefer dining in since the food is freshest that way ✨ you can also see which pastries they have that day since they change the options a wee bit. The atmosphere is always study ready and they have outlets everywhere, even outside! Come to and order from this cafe with patience ⭐ the baristas/servers are always moving, there's just always a line to the door. They're truly the nicest people working here ✨ as someone who works at a cafe I can see how overwhelming it can be yet the employees are always serving with a smile and attentiveness. I think the world needs more patience these days.
I had to update my review. I can't recommend this place enough. I tried the 1/2 Italian sub & soup. Delicious. The food is much healthier than fast food, it's mad fresh. You just have to try this place. Great cozy atmosphere. This little place has great food and great prices. It gets busy at times but they get you in and out with great customer service. I recommend you check this little quaint place out.
This place has only gotten better since I remember it. Used to go back here in high school and college to study. It didn’t have food, beer, wine, and kombucha back then. I had a power outage and 7 zoom meetings to be on. I just kept ordering coffee and food all day while plugged into a outlet and settled into a comfy and convenient chair and table and worked the day away while they just let me be. It was glorious.
I just drove by this place on College avenue and I didn't know what it was but it looked attractive and I walked in...really nice, cozy, friendly and very good food! 😋 Addendum: since I have found this place I am coming here regularly now the food is really really good!! 😍 It's been 3 years now and I still LOVE this place! 💗
A+ first experience. It’s obvious that this is a popular place as soon as you arrive. Full tables, inside and out. The ordering and drink pick-up are a little awkward to navigate but not a total turn off. The espresso is tasty. Added a pump of English toffee to mine for a little ✨ razzle dazzle ✨. The other drink pictured is the “Green Lantern” (green tea, lemonade, mango). I enjoyed it but if unsweetened green tea is not your jam then I would stay away from this one. Spinach & cheese stuffed croissant 🤌🏽 Potatoes (with a little ketchup) 🤌🏽 Seasonal fruit 🤌🏽 A couple more pieces of fruit would’ve been nice but overall pricing seems to be on par for what you receive. I will definitely be returning.

During my recent work trip, I had the delightful opportunity to visit the Living Room Coffeehouse each day, and I must say, it was an experience that truly elevated my trip. The atmosphere of the café strikes a perfect balance between cozy and conducive for work. With its inviting ambiance, it felt like a little oasis where I could enjoy my coffee while staying productive. The staff at Living Room Coffeehouse deserves a special mention. Their friendliness and accommodating nature were consistently impressive. Each interaction was met with genuine warmth, making me feel welcomed and valued as a customer. It's rare to find such a dedicated and cheerful team. As for the coffee, I opted for an iced americano daily, and it was nothing short of perfection. The blend was expertly brewed, offering a rich and robust flavor that invigorated my mornings and powered me through the day. It's evident that Living Room Coffeehouse takes pride in the quality of their beverages, and it shows in every sip. In summary, Living Room Coffeehouse is not just a coffee shop; it's a delightful retreat for coffee lovers and working professionals alike. Its charming environment, coupled with exceptional service and outstanding coffee, makes it a must-visit spot. I am already looking forward to my next visit on my upcoming trip. Whether you're a local or just passing through, do yourself a favor and stop by – your taste buds and work ethic will thank you!
Let me say this place has good food but the bread pudding is home made not your normal bread pudding SO Fu$&ING DELISH, WITH THE SHORT WAIT IN LINE.. goes fast don't be discouraged, wait on line. GOOD SERVICE.. GREAT omelet EVERYTIME I VISIT IT WILL NOW BE A MUST see yall in January
Was looking for a lil cafe/brunch spot in the area and this one looked interesting so we decided to give it a try. Pictured are the 2 skillets we got: Mexican (the one with avocado) and the Garden. Each comes with your choice of toast and fresh fruit. For my skillet I just chose to get an extra tortilla. The truffle fries are loaded with flavor and we're a great appetizer. Came with lots of condiments which I appreciated. They also had a display case full of desserts/pastries that we'd like to try next time! :)
As a thriller and romance author, I always appreciate places with history and atmosphere, and The Living Room Coffeehouse has been one of the classic gathering spots in the San Diego State area for decades. This coffee shop has been a fixture in the college community since at least the mid-1980s, and I remember going here when I was attending SDSU in the early 1990s. It’s long been the place where students and grad students gather to study, meet friends, and spend hours working on projects. The space has multiple seating areas, which makes it easy to find a quiet corner or a table to spread out books and laptops. There’s also some seating outside, which is nice when the weather is good. The bakery selection is solid and the coffee drinks are exactly what you want in a classic coffeehouse. Prices are also very reasonable, which is part of why it has remained so popular with students over the years. The staff is typically made up of college students, which fits the whole neighborhood vibe perfectly. Overall it’s one of the true coffeehouse institutions in the SDSU area and a great place to sit down with a drink and spend some time working or relaxing.
I use to go here all the time to study while a student at SDSU in the early 2000s. It's great to see this place is still popular with students and people looking for a place to have a drink do work, catch up with friends, or study. Great food and unique drinks. Keep on doing it!
I always love to sit down and drink a coffee and read my book here. Obviously the atmosphere is very much impacted by the nearby university, but if you like that or if you can ignore it, this place is a perfect place to relax. Staff is always very nice and coffee is always great. I recommend the philly cheesesteak.
This is a nice little coffee house close to san diego state where lots of students go to work on their laptops. Extensive menu for a coffee house with sandwiches and salads. Relaxing atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly staff.
I really love the outdoor vibe of this coffee shop, especially at night with the fairy lights all around. It's so nice to just soak in the atmosphere and enjoy the coffee.
This is honestly my favorite place to study. The drinks are really good and the food portions are huge. It does get busy sometimes, but that just shows how good the place is.
I gave it five stars because everything's great, except for the terrible coffee. It's awful. Everything else is awesome. I don't like these places that tout how they have coffee cuz it's really just sour bitter metallic tasting , zero of that chocolatey delicious coffee, how coffee should be. Yeah, truck or coffee basically. It sucks
I don’t give a 💩 what anyone says, a smoking allowed patio in 2025 is awesome. And it is not the entire patio, so non smokers can enjoy the fresh air of course. AND got in and out of there with a large iced coffee and a pastry for around $11 with tip!!! Which is a lot more reasonable than coffee shops in the area. I will frequent this place more often
I stumbled upon this café on my way to an appointment and so glad I did! I ordered a cinnamon latte which was absolutely delicious and so creamy and round and taste. I also ordered the scrambled eggs, avocado, and bacon toast, which was incredibly delicious and tasty. Customer service was impeccable! I will be back.
The portions are very large here, but the quality stays tasty. I was here for my first time the other day and thought it was such a lovely cafe. I can’t wait to go back! I brought quite an appetite and was grateful to have been warned + there are easily accessible take out containers (not plastic 👏🏼) to doggie bag. Breakfast food is superb here and what they are truly known for. Thought multiple people suggested the hash brown burrito, I chose to go with the Rancho omelette which was served with hash browns and tasty well toasted sourdough. My coffee was also delicious. The place is busy and people love to peruse their electronics and/or hang out or work for extended periods of time so we waited a bit to order in addition to finding a seat. It was great to see they are innovating with a seemingly new self service ordering option. Sadly, I did not have room for dessert but that looks like a must for the next visit!

Love this place so much, the atmosphere is 10/10 for lowkey studying or socializing. The decoration is kinda random but fits a good vibe. Spacious for sitting and self water refill is available for free. Outside sitting is nice and single bathroom is nice but could be a little cleaner. Food is delicious, even a grilled cheese sandwich, it was nice and crunchy. The drinks are also very good for reasonable price. A plain mocha is perfect and the Frappuccino mocha is the right amount of sweet.

Great little place only had some pastries so don't feel like I can rate it high they were good but will definitely come back to try more items on the menu atmosphere of the café was nice loved the decor and the service was great
Good variety of coffee and food. Seating can be limited, especially on weekends.
Love the place, food, service, but be prepared for orders to take a while.
My first visit to the Living Room Coffeehouse was a pleasant experience. They offer a wide variety of options for tea, coffee, and food lovers, making it a versatile spot for any craving. Whether you’re in the mood for a quick cup of tea, a hearty meal, or a delicious coffee, this place has you covered. The spacious layout is a definite plus, providing plenty of room to relax with a book or settle in for a productive study session. If you’re looking for a cozy yet vibrant atmosphere, I highly recommend checking it out. The food is reasonably priced, and the service was friendly and welcoming. We tried the Hummus Avocado Toast and the Denver Omelette with hash browns. Although we had requested cheese on the hash browns, it was unfortunately missed when the order arrived. Despite this small oversight, the dishes were satisfying and flavorful, showcasing the café’s thoughtful menu. To accompany our meal, we enjoyed a Mimosa, black coffee, and iced tea, all of which were fresh and enjoyable. The café’s ambiance adds to its charm, making it a great spot to unwind or catch up with friends. The staff creates a warm and inviting environment that enhances the overall experience. While there was a minor mix-up with our order, the quality of the food and drinks more than made up for it, leaving a positive impression. If you’re in the area, I recommend stopping by and supporting this local gem. Whether you’re a coffee enthusiast, a tea lover, or someone looking for a cozy spot to enjoy a meal, the Living Room Coffeehouse has something for everyone. It’s a delightful place to relax and enjoy good food and great service.
Cute place to study, has a vintage feel to it. Food was a little pricey, but good and there are a surprising amount of options for a coffee shop. They have an entire menu! If you can't find seats inside there is outside seating. Lots of outlets for electronics. Coffee was good also.
Absolutely wonderful food, and the service is impeccable. My only complaint would be that it's *too* popular and finding a seat can be extremely challenging at times. They would do well to implement a capacity management system of some kind for dine-in guests, though I realize that may be impractical with as many students as they get. Regardless, the experience was fantastic and I would highly recommend checking it out outside of busy hours. Also, check out the Hammerhead if you need a kick in the ass for the day!
What a cute place. Really has a comfy living room feel. Bigger than I expected with indoor and outdoor seating. A nice place to relax and people watch. Pretty busy. Parking in the rear, but full for me so had I to park a couple blocks away. I would love to give it a 5 but I was very disappointed with the chocolate croissant I ordered for dining in. It came in a plastic bag, which immediately made wonder when this was baked. I was hoping for a typical slightly flaky, buttery French style treat. Nope, It was very dry and nor worth the calories. Sorry, but I really do not know when this was baked but I would expect a cafe of this quality to have daily fresh pastries. Maybe it was fresh and that's the way these are meant to be? Update: had a cinnamon roll, no plastic wrap and it tasted fresh! Yay!
Come here to grab a quick bite, hot sip of tea, and crack down on your studies. Some of the baked goods are great, though the pastries themselves can be improved upon. If you're sweet tooth aches, suggest you come in at a early hour for a better, more fresher taste, as some of those desserts do sit there for awhile and can leave a refrigerated after taste....but some strong tea or coffee can just wash that away! Recommend you try the bread pudding, also they do have gluten free treats as well. See you there.
I love this place for chilling, reading, visiting with a friend or for a brief meeting. The food and drinks are good & some awesome deserts and a bit pricy for what you get, but the overall atmosphere, couches, tables, lamps and wifi make it worth it. Parking in back is limited so you may end up on the main street in front.
Really good freshly prepared food. I had the garlic aoli burger and a salad. Nice selection of coffee and tea. Very relaxing environment. The whole place looks like a giant living room. Lots of comfy couches and chairs. Students from SDSU come here to use the WIFI. My food was delicious. I shall return
Decent prices for the portions served and is definitely a local hot spot for college kids and locals alike. Their crepe batter could use some work, however the rest of their menu is stellar. Large array of coffee, smoothies, tea, and pasteries. Featured: Mexican Skillet & Acai Bowl.
Great menu options, tough to find seating if you order food. People camp out. If it rains? Forget it, at least on the weekends
This is one of the few cafés open late (until 11 pm). It’s the perfect spot for studying, working on your laptop, reading, or catching up with friends. It’s cozy, with plenty of outlets to charge your laptop or phone — even at the outdoor tables. Because of this, it can sometimes be hard to find a table or parking, especially since many students from nearby SDSU spend their afternoons here doing homework. But I can’t complain — I’ve also spent hours here reading and editing videos 😅 As for the food, I like the Sunrise Bagel, the grilled salmon salad, and the Ahi tuna steak sandwich. If you're craving something sweet, I’d recommend the Caramel by the Sea or the Nutella Danish. If you’re tired and need an energy boost, try a latte with an extra shot of espresso. One thing worth mentioning: they rarely clean the tables, so you might find dirty dishes left for a while or sticky surfaces (it’s happened to me often). Still, overall, it’s a comfortable place to hang out with a good cup of coffee.
Service can be s-l-o-w as usually very busy. Patrons are 90% college students who go there to study, so seating can be limited. Atmosphere is very casual & like a "living room," with comfy chairs & sofas, in addition to large tables to share & ones for 2-4 ppl. Outside patio. Wonderful breakfasts, desserts, coffee drinks. Personally, I think menu is about 20% overpriced.
Overall, it’s a great experience. The service was amazing! The food was okay! But I think the appeal of this place is meant more so aimed at students or people who need a place to work on a paper, project, computer, and etc. I didn’t order their salads, but I’ve seen the salads they served. They’re big portions and actually looked really good. I was here with a group of friends to catch up and hang out. I got their soup special of the day, broccoli cheddar soup, a white hot chocolate, chocolate scone, and a tiramisu. Broccoli cheddar soup was alright. If I didn’t have a late lunch, I would’ve gotten a panini or sandwich to go with the soup. White hot chocolate was a regret. I think they used more of a syrup. So I think I should’ve gotten a plain hot chocolate instead. Tiramisu was def not for me. You could taste the alcohol, like it wasn’t cooked off. It was very very strong. If that’s your thing, you may like it. One of my friends in the group enjoyed it a lot. Majority of us didn’t like it. Haven’t tried the scone yet. But I’ll probably air fry it or microwave it and have some with warm milk or something later. Parking here esp at night sometimes is non existent. Parking gets sooo hard to find and sometimes finding a spot inside or outside is also really tough. We got lucky to all find parking, but had to park a couple of blocks away in the neighborhood, which is really dark. Not enough street lights. I wouldn’t walk here alone for sure.
Smoothies are good & affordable, my veggie skillet was great. Lots of seating in & outdoors on the spacious patio. Even a few couches inside. Can be a bit jammed if there's a line but considering there's a fairly large menu the food/drinks come in a reasonable amount of time. Breakfast boozy drinks among your favorite coffee shop libations.

I don't really understand why so many people seem to enjoy it, especially as a workplace. It's crowded and very loud. The drinks are mid. The food is expensive, not very good, and didn't come with basic condiments like syrup or ketchup.
Food was okay but tables are taken up by students studying. Great place for them, but we needed dinner after dark in February and only seats available were outdoors. Quiet and clean.
Cute little brunch spot that opens late. It's a great spot for getting some alone time to work on school stuff, but it's not a place I would recommend for a date night. Parking is difficult to find here and it gets really crowded so make sure to arrive with extra time.
It was our first time visiting, and we didn’t realize how the ordering system worked. You place your order and pay, then wait at the counter for drinks before seating yourself and waiting for the food to be brought out. I had mentioned it was our first time, so a quick explanation from the staff would’ve helped. When the waiter brought our food and I asked about our drinks, he said, “Oh, they’re on the counter—you’re supposed to wait there.” After I mentioned again that it was our first time, he kindly said, “I’ll bring them to you,” which we appreciated. Inside, the music was too loud to enjoy a peaceful meal, so we sat outside. The occasional fly wasn’t too bad, but someone smoking nonstop nearby made it hard to relax. My quiche was overly salty, and the hashbrowns were cold and chewy. The cappuccino was quite good, though. My husband had the croissant sandwich, which was just okay. Overall, the staff was courteous, and the coffee was a highlight, but the atmosphere and food left room for improvement.
If you’re going here, go for the atmosphere and coffee. We were there for a good amount of the day and got a lot of work done. Plenty come here to study or WFH. The food wasn’t all that amazing, it was below diner scale. I think if they put a little more love into the dishes like fresher fruits, and vegetables it’ll make a big difference! Eggs Benedict came and the eggs were way over done poached. Great place to hang all day and get work done though!
Their location is really cute. The ambience is awesome. Lots of students here working on their laptops. It's a nice quiet place for breakfast if you want to come in for a relaxing time. You order u…
I don't think that I would study here again. parking was extremely difficult to find and the food was mediocre.
I wasn't even greeted, ladys were to busy gossiping. I got a tuxedo hot chocolate, not impressed wont be coming back.
I'll say it was my fault for not looking at the picture, but I was hungover and ordered a burrito with sausage and cheddar with fruit on the side through UberEats. This is the fruit they gave me: one tiny slice of pineapple and an orange. It was the saddest thing I saw on my plate. They also forgot our croissant, so overall, it was not a great experience.
Spent close to 30 on a plate. Ordered quiche. Thought that due to the price it'd be large, it was literally a sliver of quiche. Good flavor overall, but not worth the money. Other items were basic, Customer Service wasn't stellar, but not bad. Parking difficult.
Honestly expected a lot more with how busy this place was at 10:30am on a Friday. I got the whole milk latte no sugar(it was kinda bland the bean didn’t bean 5/10) workman omelette the omelette was really good but the potatoes lack flavor could be a combo of being over fried and the fact of no seasoning lol (7/10 omelette saved the dish). The chocolate scone was ok I’ve had better (5/10). Honestly not a spot I would recommend to a friend.

Awful. This is what the basil pesto bagel looks like. Just a bagel thrown in with the ingredients. Didn’t even give me cream cheese. It’s like if I went to a restaurant and ordered mashed potatoes and they brought me a baked potato, butter, and a hammer. Pathetic and lazy. I also got the açaí bowl which was a scoop of açaí sorbet (that’s right, a scoop like you would dish out of a grocery store frozen tub) a banana, strawberry, and granola. Worst part, that was all a little under $20. Save your money for literally anywhere else.
I love the morning stuff here. But the evening staff is with I'm giving a number one for. The second time that I've ordered my coffee in advance and had to wait over 30 minutes to get a coffee. Today they put my coffee out where everyone that is dining in picks up their coffee and I'm standing there by where mobile orders are supposed to be. The person failed to tell me that my coffee was out there and it'd been sitting there so I paid for a hot coffee that I now have to go microwave at my house because the girl who handed it to me couldn't tell me how long it been sitting there. And despite the fact that she was holding it she told me she didn't know if it was hot still or not. Be better good morning stuff is so efficient everything gets done properly and I never have these problems. This is ridiculous I'm probably not going to even order coffee here anymore just because in the afternoon it's such a hassle and people don't know anything and take absolutely no accountability.
I don't understand. I look around and see comfortable living room furniture, people on their laptops quietly doing work, and coffee being served in cozy mugs and yet the music they play is high-tempo corny pop music ranging from the '80s to the '10s that makes me feel like I can't sit still. The place would be better off without music rather than what they decide to play. Yet I walk in and there's this man playing a lovely 20-string lute in the back and I immediately know where I'm sitting. A few minutes later and he's being asked to leave? Everyone I talked to at both my neighboring tables told me that they were so enjoying the music and that they wished that they would turn off the awful speakers and let the musician play. They should have been paying this man to play. Instead he was playing for free and they kicked him out. I overheard that he would come in regularly to play which initially excited me but I doubt he will return, and neither will I. I don't come here for the food. I barely come here for the coffee. I come here when I have nowhere else nearby to go and I tolerate the ambiance. Artists should be respected. It was an honor to hear that man play and crushing to see him be asked to leave.
I recently visited this place for the first time and initially enjoyed the vibe and atmosphere. Unfortunately, my experience quickly changed when I noticed a roach trying to crawl into my tote bag, followed by two more on the floor. I left immediately and couldn’t even finish my coffee after seeing this. To make matters worse, my table was dirty—even though I arrived at 7:15 a.m., right after opening. Because of this, I will not be returning
Upsetting that this place has gone so downhill. I used to love studying/working here. Won’t be back. Walked in and the guy (tall long greasy dirty hair) is working and I got no greeting, no hi, no welcome, no I’ll be with you shortly, nothing. I have worked in customer service many years and this is just immediately rude, but I blew it off, and waited to order. I order my iced espresso which is usually made so great here. I asked for three pumps lavender. I noticed (used to be a barista for many yrs) there was no sweetener. No biggie simple mistake, go back to the counter and kindly asked if the lavender was put in there, it’s a genuine question since I am charged the 75 cents for it. He first looks at me like he saw a ghost, nods at me, in order to pretend it was maybe in there, then turns to the bar while looking over to another staff, smirking and he then aggressively pumps idk at least 6 plus pumps in there. I couldn’t even count how many. He might as well have poured it straight because it was then alllll I could taste all syrup. On top of that, when he handed my drink back he said “ should be better!” Also. As I was sitting at my table outside I asked nicely if they have some ketchup? Same guy btw, who dropped off my food, just said “yep” while walking away and then just had set it up at the counter. Thanks for ruining my lunch break! Mind you I didn’t ask for my money back the line got super long, and I didn’t have time, but I did leave a note next to the crap drink that i could not even enjoy. My note said “ think about how you interact with a paying customer.. no the drink is not better, it’s all syrup :/ “ hope he read it. I lost some of my money but importantly he needs to know he SUCKS why are you working in this industry?! and why is this acceptable to hire?!?! Hope you do better Living Room or keep losing regulars!
