I just got back from the beach off a long run and decided to stop by this place for burrito. little did I know that it's an actual restaurant and not a fast food, you'll see from my pictures that I took at a local park soon thereafter, that this is no ordinary burrito. I would say it's below average size for a burrito from San Diego, but just a little bit below-average you do not need to eat more than that you naughty naughty boy. I took out my huge knife cut the burrito in half to show you that there's a certain kind of sweet bean inside....... beans with a sweet sauce, please do not think that I said that they put beans in the burrito, I do not like burritos from San Pedro and Long Beach because everywhere up there they put beans and rice in your burrito. this burrito is much different than that because there's only a few beans and you can taste each of their textures and there's a sweet sauce with them, it doesn't stop there the carne asada was marinated to perfection and did not taste like fast food, furthermore it had plenty of guacamole that was just perfect. if I bring a friend to San Diego I would not brag about this burrito I would eat this burrito in private with a grin on my face knowing that I'm getting a good deal, but if I wanted to really impress them I would bring them to one of the fast food places like Los panchos Alberto's and the like. unless I was going to sit down and eat and which case I would most likely come here cuz it seems like they really put it all on the plate. dear goodness I can't wait to find a lady with firm forearms and soft hands and brunette hair dripping down her back and bring her here sit her down and have a sweet little date.

Great food, spectacular service, and affordable. The restaurant was clean and beautifully decorated. I had the shrimp fajitas with no rice or wraps.

Great ambience, great food. Open by peaceful protest thank goodness, both inside & outside seating. Hot carrots came with chips & salsa. Had the Enchiladas del Mar. Very good!

Went to Tierra Santa Mexican Restaurant for the 3rd time on Sunday. Their service is definitely a 5 star+++. As soon as you are seated, chips and salsa are served. All the servers are attentive and very accommodating. At this visit, we ordered taquitos with rice and beans and a dish that is similar to a fajita dinner (I can't remember the name🙃). Also ordered a chili Colorado dinner to take home which is amazing. Skinny margs are delicious. This a great place if you are looking for great food, great service in a casual atmosphere. We will be back👍

Great food can be found tucked away in a small strip mall in the Tierrasanta community. Lots of seating, a bar, and some really good food. Albondigas (meatball) soup is my favorite for the cooler months.

Great food, as well as awesome customer service. In fact this is my first restaurant I went to and they serve free chips & Fruit as soon as you sit down at your table. I love the fruit it was fresh and so delicious. I can’t wait to go again.

Our favourite Mexican restaurant in the area! The margaritas, chips (warm!) and salsa and burritos are so delicious. We always get fantastic service here too. Woukd highly recommend this place

We love coming to this restaurant. The family comes and we always have some good food great company and the Cadillac margarita is great really fruity.

We just moved to the area and I decided to try this out. I ordered takeout. I had a plate - shrimp taco, a fish taco, beans, and rice, and Jen, my server, added an order of corn chips so I could try them. The salsas are spicy - too much for my delicate palate - but the food is outstanding! The portions are good size and I had leftovers, which I always love. I recommend and will most definitely be back. ♡

Atmosphere was pretty much every nice mexican restaurant you have ever been to.. but the service was great. The kid who sat me was really nice, and my waiter was great. Food was pretty much the same as any other Mexican restaurant.. but service was excellent and made it an exceptional experience... and the cost was more than fair.

Atmosphere was pretty much every nice mexican restaurant you have ever been to.. but the service was great. The kid who sat me was really nice, and my waiter was great. Food was pretty much the same as any other Mexican restaurant.. but service was excellent and made it an exceptional experience... and the cost was more than fair.

Wow. Just amazing! Business lunch (4 people) minutes before noon. The service is one of the best experiences I've ever had. I go through my beverages very quick. I can confidently say my glass was never empty. The food was very good, one of the better Mexican restaurants I've been to. I've lived in Southern California and dined in many local Mexican restaurants before, and this place stands out! We had different varieties of taco's, beans and rice. Of course fresh tortilla chips and salsa too.

Good sit down Mexican food spot. Food is authentic and well prepared. Staff is friendly and helpful. Is a place for locals, but could become a destination spot.

Got the Carne Con Camarones and the El Comal. Both entrees were very tasty. The Carne Con Camarones steak was smaller than expected, but tender. The bacon wrapped shrimp were very good. The El Comal shrimp, chicken, and steak were a little dry. So if we ordered it again, we would request an extra plate to remove everything from the sizzling plate so they don't overcook. The prices are a little high, but the quality is very good. Update: Got the El Comal and the Shrimp Burrito. Both were very tasty. From the El Comal we immediately removed the shrimp, chicken, and steak, which prevented them from overcooking and getting dry. The Shrimp Burrito contained 8 nickel sized shrimp, which was very disappointing for a full sized burrito. My wife even remarked that a fast food Sombrero burrito was better and always contained more meat. For the prices charged, the meal was not a good value.

He quickly picked it off and said I’ll get you another one I said what is it ? Is it a cockroach ? He replied we don’t have any cockroaches here but no apologies whatsoever not knowing that I had taken a picture of it So if you plan on coming to this place Beware of critters 🤮

This is kind of tough to write because I do not like leaving less than 3 start reviews but I am having a hard time forgetting this experience. So, we have coming here for 25+ years. Since my kids were little. I came in recently and found that our favorite bartender was fired for being too friendly. Let me repeat that - too friendly. The voice in my head was like “Uh oh, I wonder what other changes they have made.” Trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, I called an order in for a Shrimp Salad and a Chicken Caesar Salad. Anyone can look at the menu from their website and see the prices are $10.95 for either of these salads. When I went to pick them up the bill was $15.95 for each. I asked the girl at the cash register why the price difference and she shrugged her shoulders like “I don’t know”. I told her what the website says and showed her and asked her to adjust the price. She replied that she couldn’t. I asked her what she means that she couldn’t and asked to speak to a manager. She replied that she is the manager. So, I asked her to correct the bill because it is clearly right there on their website. She said “Oh, that’s just Google and they are wrong”. Huh? I replied that it is not Google. It is Google showing your own proprietary website. Not Google. Would you like me to show you your website on a different browser? She said “Sorry, but it is Google’s fault they are wrong. There is nothing I can do. I asked her if she is kidding. Maybe I can demonstrate the internet to you. Have you heard of Bing, Yahoo or even Duck Duck Go. It she just had a blank look on her face like she had no idea what I was talking about. Unfortunately, she not only did not understand where I got the menu and asked if Google got the phone number wrong too because I called the order in but does understand customer service. I did not get my order because I was not going to pay the inflated price plus had a bad taste in my mouth. It is very sad because I was friends with so many of the family and team members there who have come and gone but, with the abundance of Mexican restaurants in San Diego I doubt I will ever, ever go back. Not even for a cocktail. Let that part about firing a bartender because she was too friendly sink in. Like the old saying goes - Buyer beware
