Very good food and great service too. We ordered a pho, shrimp fried rice, and banh mi. The rice and banh mi even came with a free bowl of soup. The restaurant interior is clean and comfortable as well.

Updated to reflect new photos! Glad to see more Vietnamese dining in the area. Pho was good, they use real bone broth. I do wish they gave more limes. Lots of meat in the pho.

The food is delicious, they just soft opened today so I'm going to be much more lenient on the service, etc. We had a bunch of things and we'll be back to try the pho next time, but from the broth and the chicken in my Banh Mi, I'm very optimistic. Would love to see some GF-free options like with the fried tofu fried rice.

I was craving some Vietnamese food and there are not many choices in the Del Mar area. Luckily, I found this hidden gem. Xin Chao means "Hello" in Vietnamese and you feel welcomed as soon as you walk into the restaurant. Everything was very clean and spacious. The staff was very friendly and checked in on us regularly to make sure everything was good. I ordered the house special pho, which contains -filet mignon, back rib, brisket, and meatballs. All the meat was SUPER tender and flavorful. The back rib meat was literally falling off the bone and the broth was delicious. For dessert, I had the fried banana with coconut ice cream and affogato vanilla ice cream. Both were amazing, the hot/cold combo of the fried banana and ice cream is really good. And the affogato is like similar to Vietnamese coffee, but BETTER! I'd come back for the desserts alone. I'll definitely be coming back soon.

We got the Orange Chicken and TCN and a kids Brisket Pho along with Tofu Summer Rolls. Everything was great. We went on the Labor Day Saturday evening and it was pretty busy but we were seated and served pretty quickly. The orange chicken was delicious (beats that panda place)

I live nearby and this is my go-to Vietnamese place in this neighborhood. Pho is good but I usually get the rice place with pork and sometimes add a fried egg. Egg rolls are good as well. Portions are pretty big.

The sauce leaned mostly sweet and lacked the sour, funky notes that usually make this dish shine. I would not order it again. — The pho with beef ribs was pretty solid. The meat fell right off the bone. Would come back and try more. Great service as well!

Had the chicken banh mi and bone broth. The banh mi was fresh. Loved the pickled veggies with the spice from the jalapeño.the bread was perfect! All around a classic bahn mi. The both broth with the oyster crackers was delicious. Especially if you dip the sandwich in it. Would come back. Good pricing.

Came to try this place for dinner togo. The inside has plenty of room to sit and eat. Nice and clean. The staff are friendly and hospitable. I ordered Tofu Pho. It came with lots of tofu and veggies. It was nicely cooked. Order took about 10 minutes. Will be back to try some more stuff.

I ordered the filet mignon pho, but the beef was cut unusually thick and the broth was not hot enough to cook it properly. As a result, the meat stayed undercooked and the soup developed a strong bloody taste and dark color. It was very unpleasant and not what I expect from pho.

This is more like a fusion Vietnamese restaurant. We had different Pho. It’s good but nothing special. The portion is smaller and the price is a bit higher than other traditional Pho places. Overall it’s ok for the area.

Hot broth spilled on the table and onto my partner without an apology. The server saw it but just rushed away. Pho broth was a tad sweet with a hint of sourness, which was a little odd. The brisket was too tough and chewy. I did like the individual garnishes and condiments provided. No sate, so don't ask. They have the thicker chili paste and Sriracha available, though. We sat close to the kitchen window and were able to hear everything between the kitchen and FOH staff. The man in the kitchen was loud and sounded like he was yelling at the staff, but unfortunately, it's how the older Asian generation speaks. They sound as though they're yelling with a raised voice, but no. However, it made me feel bad for the servers because listening to that all day can make you feel some sort of way. Overall, it was ok. Not a place I'd have on my go-to list but a place I can finally check off my to try list.

Got the house special pho for takeout. The beef was given to me raw in a bag, which wasnt too big of an issue as I was able to heat the broth to boiling to assemble it. However if I haven't taken it home to eat I would have had raw meat floating in broth.

Veggies were stale. Happy hour was not honored after asking in advance. Overall quality was meh at best. Was hoping for decent pho in the neighborhood but it's definitely worth the effort to drive across town.

This Vietnamese restaurant is on Highway 5. We were five people on our way back to Los Angeles from San Diego. We passed by this restaurant in the evening and chose to have dinner here. The taste of this Vietnamese restaurant is OK, but we are not very satisfied with the service attitude because I brought my children with me and our children are quite naughty. The attitude of the waiter was a bit unhappy and impatient. What we couldn't accept the most was that we found a small fly when eating Vietnamese rice noodles. My wife only found the fly when we finished eating. We called the waiter, and he just said sorry. After that, he only waived the charge for the bowl with the fly. We still had to pay for the other fees. We paid, but I couldn't accept this attitude and practice.

When I called they said they will add it to my next order- I reminded them and they made a big deal and said they need ti speak to the manager (never there). Today was even worse. I placed a pickup order over the phone, arrived about 25 minutes later with my kids, and my order was nowhere to be found. No one seemed concerned, and for several minutes the staff continued helping other customers without acknowledging that my order had been lost. There was no apology at all. When I finally asked again, the employee said she didn’t know what happened and that the order wasn’t in the system, then asked me to repeat my entire order. Again—no apology, no sense of responsibility, and no visible management involved. The food is good, but the lack of customer care and basic accountability makes the experience frustrating, especially when ordering for kids. I really hope management addresses these issues, because loyal customers deserve better.
