flavia was our waitress and she went above and beyond for us. she was very attentive and gave us some recommendations for food. we’re from out of town and this was a restaurant with the perfect ambiance and service. pastas were amazing, wine bottle was great, and the tiramisu was spectacular. i’d come back here in a heart beat and would recommend to anyone coming into town or even a local if they’ve never tried it

Amarena has been on my food map for a while. I tried them out for my birthday. The staff is cute and helpful. I ordered their mushroom tagliatelle, grilled octopus and little ears for pasta during happy hour.

Found this spot on my way to catch the sunset walk and absolutely glad to try it out eventually! All the way from ambience (especially during sunset glow) to food and service were all on point. We tried Bruschetta, Madeira sauce pasta and butternut squash ravioli, loved all of them! Point to be noted: butternut squash ravioli is tad bit on sweeter side, but our amazing Server (shoutout to Alex) kept us informed from the beginning! Owner, Paulo, took time to chat with us. Overall, extremely homely place. Would be back for another round and tiramisu!

The owner Paulo is very sweet and personable. His staff is attentive and kind. Stefano is one of the severs and so amazing. You can’t do wrong here, it’s delicious and feels like home.

Wonderful service and the food was absolutely perfect! We ended up ordering four different pastas and sharing it (10/10 recommend) We each had a different favorite but they were all really good. Solid portion size, the wine options were good and the desert wine was the perfect finish! This will be my new go-to ❤️

Great place. A short walk from our motel and it was all lit up with pretty lights. We sat outside next to the heater and it was magical. The waiter was lovely and we even chatted to the owner. We all had lasagne which was one of the best we’ve ever had!

This place was lovely!! The ambience was very classy and the staff was super friendly! All the food we had was absolutely delicious! Started off with a delicious fresh bruschetta and salad with pears! The butternut squash pasta and smoke prosciutto pasta were cooked to perfection and the chicken was packed with flavor. Highly recommend!!

This place has been on my list to visit for a while and it did not disappoint! Very attentive service and nice ambience with dim lighting. And the food was delicious. I had a nice squash ravioli and the arancini. There’s also an extensive wine list. Definitely go check it out!

Came for my second happy hour and again very pleased with my experience! Pictures attached are from both visits. From 5-6pm, 30% off one pasta and one drink is a fantastic deal especially because their pasta is extremely well made. Everyone working there is very helpful and friendly with great recommendations and have ties to Italy it seems. I sat outside my last time alone with a book, wine and pasta and was so pleased. Will be a go to spot for me!

Excellent food, and the octopus was amazing! Truly Italian vibe! Staff were super nice and kind too! I can’t believe I lived in the neighborhood for 3 years now and never been here! And they have the gluten free pasta, so we’re definitely becoming regulars!

Everything an Italian restaurant should be: cozy, warm, good service and of course all the carbs and cheese a girl could want! We sat outside with heaters, the bruschetta was magic, the mortadella was delicious as was the mushroom pasta, and tiramisu was great!

It is a lovely place. Me and my partner sat down outside and they moved the table for us just to make sure we were in the sun. Service is great and they’re amicable and friendly. We had a spritz and a Lager and didn’t stay for the entrées, but the bread and carpaccio appetizers were amazing. Would come again.

Charming traditional Italian spot—we went with friends and sat outside, which was lovely. I have a dairy sensitivity, and while the restaurant isn’t really set up for dietary restrictions (they stick closely to how dishes are traditionally made in Italy), they were still very accommodating. They prepared the baked eggplant without cheese and offered salads without dairy, which I really appreciated. That said, if you have a dairy issue, this may not be your go-to place. The food was delicious—every pasta dish we tried was flavorful and well-executed. We also ordered the house bread with olive oil , which was nice, though I wish the bread had been a bit fresher. I probably wouldn’t return , but overall, the food was good .

Atmosphere is great for a night out, food less so. Pasta dishes lack flavor, with the best thing on the menu being the bread with house made dipping sauce. Worth visiting to grab drinks, but for pasta would also try elsewhere.

Given the prices, I did not feel the dish was worth the cost, as I was truly expecting to be wowed by the quality. 🥩 Limited Menu Drawback: The menu selection is noticeably limited. This was a disappointment for me as I was hoping for a good steak option but couldn't find one that was suitable among the choices. The limited focus, while potentially good, didn't work in my favor this time. 🤝 Service & Atmosphere: The service was fine, and the restaurant provides a pleasant, intimate atmosphere. 🤔 Overall Impression: Amarena is a charming Italian spot, but the food quality did not fully live up to the premium price point, and the menu selection was too limited for my preferences. It's an okay spot, but the high expectations and the resulting "just satisfactory" meal mean it earns an average rating from me.

Very expensive and overrated. They expect you to have both pasta and meat entrees, each priced what I'd expect for a full meal at a good restaurant. Wine was good but very pricey. Service was fine but nothing special. Our server was Italian and a sweet guy but couldn't communicate well enough to be helpful. Bruscetta was excellent. Bread and dip was outstanding! Lasagna was excellent, the butternut squash ravioli very good, the other dishes were just fine but not impressive. We asked for spaghetti and meatballs for the kids and it was awful - bland balls of beef with tomato sauce apparently straight from a can - they totally phoned that in! Nothing for kids. I would not go there again.
