This is definitely one of the premium cafes in San Francisco. The prices were high, however, the sandwiches and bagels looked quite large, and the place itself was cozy, even though it also looked slightly cramped (but that is also quite normal for all buildings in downtown San Francisco), and it was clean & organized. The staff were kind and helpful in recommending menu items. The restroom had a line, however, it was relatively quick and the restroom was clean. Overall, I had a great experience here.

10/10 First time visit, tbh it’s so hard to pick what I want to order here, everything on the counter looks so delicious. Price is affordable too not too crazy compared to other restaurants this days. Definitely will visit again!

The display case caught my eye. It looked like art. I was hoping it tasted as good. I had an Italian sandwich which was one of the best sandwiches I ever had. It was a bit small and crowded, otherwise I would have given all 5- stars.

We stopped by Caffe Central at Union Square and had the Chicken Pesto Crepe and an Iced Mocha Latte — both were absolutely delicious! The crepe was flavorful, fresh, and chicken was perfectly cooked, and the iced mocha latte was the right balance of coffee and chocolate—not too sweet. The place has a cozy vibe with limited seating, so getting there early definitely paid off. We were among the first to arrive, and within minutes, the café was buzzing and every seat was taken. It's clearly a local favorite! If you're looking for a quick, quality bite and great coffee near Union Square, Caffe Central is definitely worth a visit.

Cafe Central in San Francisco was an experience! The place was packed, yet the waiting lines moved quickly. It was great watching the staff in action—fast, precise, and clearly passionate about their work. On my first visit, I had the salmon toast, topped to perfection and bursting with flavor. At nearly $18 it was the priciest toast on the menu, but absolutely worth it. The next day I tried the breakfast bagel (since the croissants were sold out), which came with a fresh bowl of fruit and was equally delicious. This spot definitely deserves more than its 4.0 rating—the food was top notch and the energy of the place made it even better. Highly recommended!

Third day in the city, third time lining up for breakfast and so far, this is the best breakfast I had in Union Square. Healthy options, creative menu, fresh ingredients and solid coffee. Out of the three popular breakfast in the neighborhood, this is the only one I’ll actually come back to. It’s no wonder lines are long even at 7:30 in the morning.

We stumbled upon this place on the first day of our San Francisco trip and we were really happy with their hearty food and coffee. They immediately soothed our jetlagged body. We enjoyed both their crepe and sandwich which came in big portions. The crepe was beautifully made with generous amounts of toppings.

It was less than ten minutes between the moment I walked in, took a look at the menu, ordered and had my food delivered to my table. Amazing service and amazing breakfast. I really liked how balanced the Union Square plate tasted, came very close to ordering waffles but I will try those next time. They also have a good variety of pastries and baked goods.

Frank's early 7 AM opening is a definite plus, especially for those of us on Eastern Time. The menu is a highlight, featuring a solid selection of fresh vegetables and fruits. Service is efficient; the staff is decent, and orders are prepared quickly. Overall, a reliable option for a fast and fresh meal.

No doubt this is the best place to have breakfast in San Francisco! There are many options and they all look extremely delicious. I ordered an Apple Strudle with Chocolate Milk and both were more than amazing. They offer sandwiches, quiches, toasts, waffles, salads, crepes and patisseries. Highly recommend it!

The service was fast paced. I ordered the breakfast croissant came with a small bowl of fruit and it was only 13 dollars. The fruit was fresh and tasteful and the croissant was pack with ham and chicken. I also ordered a latte which tasted really good. The coffee was strong and not over powered by sugar.

This one is a bit of a head scratcher. My wife always told me that this was her favorite San Francisco coffee shop. Of course my wife is right, but when I tried it, I found her cappuccino to be somewhat burnt. My Cuban latte was a bit more condensed and had more flavor but really left me wondering if we need to find a new San Francisco coffee shop. Don’t get me wrong, on my first visit here I enjoyed my drink a lot. They had a lot of snacks and sandwiches should you be inclined, and the atmosphere is really nice. I’d come back, most likely, as I’m thinking (based on her earlier recommendation) that the burnt cappuccino was a one-off.

I stayed in a hotel right around the corner so I went to Caffe Central for breakfast. I ordered online via their website, so as soon as I arrived, everything was already prepared and ready for pickup. Food and coffee was really good, would finitely recommend this place!

I’ve been to the Burlingame location and it was great, so I stopped by the SF one while passing through. Huge mistake. The quality was terrible. I ordered a chicken bowl and it was soaked in lemon juice, completely inedible. The chicken also had a weird color and taste. I couldn’t eat it, it wasn’t fresh. Definitely not recommended.
