Visited Carl’s Jr. to try Beyond meat burger. Location: It’s located close to Powell street so cannot be missed. Location was nice and clean. Staff was helpful... since this was my first visit to the place staff did give me suggestions.. thank you !! I ordered beyond meat classic burger ... order was ready in few minutes so 5 * for the service Burger was juicy... meaty🙃 and delicious... can’t believe it’s all plant based protein.. next time will try barbecue burger 🍔

I got robbed at gunpoint in broad daylight. The place was busy, Security is a joke! Totally useless, watched but didn't see anything. I would suggest Burger King Less than 50 feet further . Not to mention it's fresher and friendlier.

This Carls Jr is ok. For 2 burgers and small fries was $14. The area is awful because of aggressive homeless in the city. The food is just fine, the lady is nice and the security guy was very nice he even opened the door for me. The location sucks. Theres no indoor dining in the establishment. Will I bet returning?? Yes, only because its close to the BART Station.

It's not so much the service or the company itself, it's the location. It's very much in the tenderloin and is open long hours (24 hours?) and actually takes EBT hot food stamps if you have that endorsement. The surrounding environment is extremely dirty, the interior isn't that clean either. And like most fast food currently, it's overpriced.

They changed me for tomato and extra .84 this is robbery. If you look it up it is supposed to be free. No charge for tomato.

8am 2/8/2026 no service. Counter girl kept working outside and the cook was sleeping in the back. 20 minutes later we left.

Visited January 2nd, 2026 While visiting San Francisco, I had been really excited to try Jolibee for the very first time. I have never had Jolibee in my life, and I got my husband and our six and seven year old very excited about it too. We looked it up on Google Maps from our hotel and decided to walk over, turning it into part of our day. By the time we arrived, the area felt pretty sketchy, and to make matters worse, Jolibee was closed. We were honestly heartbroken. The kids were starving at that point, and everyone’s mood shifted fast. I wanted to pivot and head to Chinatown next, but my husband and kids were completely done with walking and disappointment. Carl’s Jr. was right next door, so we went in out of necessity more than anything else. The biggest mistake we made was ordering burgers for everyone. We got Western burger meals for the kids and Diablo burgers for my husband and me. There was absolutely nothing Diablo about them. The food was bland, greasy, and shockingly bad. This was quite possibly the worst meal we have had in a long time. We each took only a few bites and could not bring ourselves to eat any more. What upset me the most was not the sixty dollars we spent on a meal we did not enjoy. It was the fact that we had such limited time in San Francisco, and I had hoped to spend that time enjoying food and experiences we would remember fondly. Instead, this stop turned into a complete letdown and left us frustrated and disappointed. With so many great food options in this city, this was a total fail and not something I would recommend to anyone visiting.

The owners always say the bathroom is out of order. The one lady was ready to give the code and the manager quickly said..out of order. The location is understandable as non customers may try to use ot. However we are paying customers, buying and eating there.

This is not a safe place to eat Someone i never ever met followed me in.and paid for my fish sandwich and tea without any kind of by your leave and the clerk let him $15. İ never have cash in my pocket. İ had just made a very large withdrawal from the bank right next to the Carl's İn order to avoid any incident i had to take off my back pack. İ didn't want to show off my withdrawal: I'm clearly every bit of 82 yrs old and clearly seriously disabled. My doctors told me to only go out in a wheelchair There's only one stool there to sit at the counter. The security guard takes it away so I can't sit. İ say "Excuse me, Sir, Please?" The security guard immediately starts yelling at me angrily " Can't you see I'm busy? " and İ say " Yes, that's why I said Excuse me Sir. please" there being no other chair anywhere. and that's when the physical threats began. When a security guard has to escalate a misunderstanding to threats of violence against a Santa Claus white bearded 100% disabled 82 year old us veteran to prove their masculinity at age 35, there is something seriously wrong with management of the establishment and the security agency When a fast food customer service employee can let his friend pay for a stranger's meal in exchange for cash, that's an employee that needs to be fired Don't eat there. İt just not safe in an unsafe part of the city

Wow I never experienced such rudeness ever, the main manager at night she was very rude to me and had security immediately remove me when she couldn’t read my coupon. Unbelievable I have been coming here for many years as a customer and can’t believe how rude and unprofessional she treated a long time customer to Carl’s! for no reason what so ever. Carls is one of my favorite restaurants and I am a loyal fan, I was extremely shocked by the disrespect and hostility received for no reason!!ruined my night

I tried to order something from the app in person at the restaurant and they scammed my code and said that it wasn’t available. I would have to purchase more than one item and description that I posted underneath says something different.. It seems like they’re trying to hassle people out a couple dollars or more money Bad service

The people that work here can't be bothered to help you at all.They offer all these things on the app and then barely have any knowledge of anything whatsoever.It's like talking to a wall of bricks. I haven't seen a single competent person work here in the months that its been that i've come here.

This Carl's Junior's sucks compared to others. The employees seem to be completely and utterly forcing smiles and all sorts affectionate signs... the employees are, without a doubt, complete psychopaths. I just amended this review and changed it from 3 stars to 1 star because of yet another horrendous experience here. When you order a large French fries here be prepared to get less than you would have gotten had you ordered a medium. For some reason they do not properly open the French fry containers and this makes for a particularly tiny "large" French fries. When I asked about it the manager (and owner) told me that it was not a mistake and that was how they give everyone their French fries. The following photographs show exactly what I am talking about.
