Wow - this was a really special dinner! I took my husband for his birthday and this was a stunning experience. Amazing service, surprising food that really blew our minds - it was amazing to see the range and beauty of the dishes. Really really beautiful art work essentially that tastes amazing. The bread was silly good. This was a night we not forget!
A fine dining experience that explores a range of unique tastes that perfectly complement their French dishes and preparations. The gluten free bead option is really WOW and the coffee and chocolate dessert trio as part of the 5-course prix fixe was off the charts! Also, many thanks to the fabulous staff for their excellent service!🙏💎
My wife and I went here for our anniversary and it was such a unique and special dinner. The atmosphere is top noche and the food is definitely out of this world. And the service is amazing. The entire service team work so well together that the whole team is like a well choreographed act. Little details such as having all the course arrive at the same time and precisely hit the table at the exact same moment is just impeccable. We even get a little tour of the kitchen. It's no doubt that they are pricy, but it's and experience that we will never forget and would continue to talk about it with our friends and families for years to come.
Fun fact: The term “hospitality” derives from the Latin hospes, meaning both ‘host’ and ‘guest.’ In ancient times, hosts welcomed guests as family, while guests were expected to respect their host. Thus, true hospitality meant embodying both roles with grace. That’s exactly the warmth we experienced at O' by Claude Le Tohic. We had the honor of marking our 19th anniversary at this remarkable restaurant. The cuisine was nothing short of extraordinary. The wagyu, so delicate it seemed to dissolve on the tongue, was a triumph of flavor and texture. The abalone, cooked with flawless precision, ranked among the finest we’ve ever tasted, while the langoustine shone with vibrant freshness and depth. A standout was the lavish serving of caviar, elevating each bite into a decadent indulgence. The staff’s seamless coordination was a marvel to witness. Every dish arrived in perfect sync, with the team’s subtle glances and silent communication adding a layer of artistry to the service. The desserts were almost too stunning to choose from, each one a masterpiece of craftsmanship. Deciding on just one was a testament to their visual and culinary allure. My heartfelt thanks go to Chef Claude for his dedication to San Francisco’s dining scene and for assembling such an exceptional team. Every element of the O' experience—from the spotless kitchen to the meticulous care in every detail—reflects a deep passion for excellence. The love for cuisine and commitment to hospitality shine through in every aspect of this restaurant.
What a wonderful experience from the time you walk in the door the staff treats you like royalty. The food was creative, playful with a beautiful presentation while not every dish was for my personal palate everything was put together exquisitely. The wine pairings perfectly created for the experience. The decor warm and inviting. My only complaint was that I chose the 5 course tasting menu looking back I wish I would have gone for the 9 to have the complete experience.
O’ by Claude Le Tohic, located in ONE65 San Francisco, offers a Michelin-starred dining experience that blends French culinary artistry with Californian ingredients. Guests can choose between a five-course or nine-course tasting menu, complemented by an extensive wine list. Signature dishes like caviar compositions, seafood broth, and caramelized black cod highlight the chef’s precision and creativity. The ambiance is elegant yet welcoming, with attentive service making it ideal for special occasions. While the price is on the higher side, the exceptional quality of food and presentation ensures a memorable experience. O’ by Claude Le Tohic is a must-visit for fine dining enthusiasts in San Francisco.
An exceptional French fine dining experience. Every dish was artfully prepared, balancing rich flavors with delicate presentation. The ambiance was refined yet cozy, and the service was impeccable from start to finish. A perfect spot for a special evening with loved ones . Menu was specifically designed. 5 course meal was perfect and variety of sweets just complete evening.
We made a reservation to celebrate our 6 year wedding anniversary December 7, therefore we enjoyed the Autumn Tasting Menu (5 course menu) They reached out prior to our arrival to obtain certain information, that in itself had me looking forward to our evening. . When we arrived we were able to see the results of the information they asked for. The attention to detail was outstanding. We had personalized menus. The level of service we received from the entire staff was exceptional. I took photos of the food, but will not be posted so as to not ruin the experience for you. What I can say is that every dish was well thought out and was exceptionally delicious and Michelin star quality. The only picture I will post is the one of their dessert display and our anniversary cake.
Food is great. Wine pairing is great. Service is amazing. Many bread and desserts choices.
Outstanding food and service - among the best Michelin starred restaurants we’ve been to. Were here for a special occasion and had a mix of 5 and 9 courses which the restaurant was nice to accommodate. First time visiting and the staff at the ground floor reception addressed us by name. Impressive. Ordered some patisserie on the ground floor which they packed for us to bring home after our meal. Had regular pairing with the 9 course - the wines were good, not spectacular. Liked all the courses they were all well prepared and presented. I liked the seafood appetizer and wagyu the best. The bread and dessert were very good (considering most restaurants don’t pay great attention to these). Chef Claude came by to say hi to everyone which was a nice touch. I expect the Michelin star rating will be upgraded in time.
The best meal I’ve had in all of my life and worth every penny. How this restaurant has only one Michelin star is beyond me. The 9 course tasting menu was absolute perfection that it’s impossible to pick one favorite course. The caviar trio was to die for and the crispy skin on the kinmedai was unlike anything I’ve ever tried. Would love to come back again!
There are no words for the tasting menu here! There are absolutely not enough stars on google…and it certainly should have 3 Michelin stars. This restaurant is a hidden gem. If everyone knew if this place it would be sold out months ahead. This is my husbands review. He went with his copilot. Both were praising me for sending them here 😎. I cannot wait to make it to San Fran and go here!!!
My dear friends surprised me with a remarkable 9 course vegan menu with white truffles and wine pairing. The vegan option may be requested with advance notice. O’ is well deserving of their Michelin star. Professional service, perfectly presented dishes, and most importantly, absolutely delicious from the first bite of an amuse bouche to final mignardise. The standouts of the evening were the wine pairing and dessert cart. Each wine was a perfect match for the course. We loved them all so much and are currently trying to buy some of the bottles. The mignardise presentation on the cart was just stunning! The cart is an absolute show stopper. Each tiny bite is pastry artwork. Gorgeous and perfect little bites. I would like one of everything again please. They sent us home with boxes of 4 truffles to enjoy the next day. Thank you for a memorable birthday dinner!
Absolutely enchanting birthday celebration at O’ by Claude Le Tohic. My fiancé and I had an amazing time and the staff and chefs really made our night with their high level service and food presentation. We had the 9-course Grand Tasting Winter experience and each serving seemed like it brought you just a little closer to heaven. I’m so thankful for how awesome everyone was and glad that they were a part of our special night.
I'm genuinely happy to see the restaurant re-open to its first star. Let's talk ingredients first, there's local farms represented, but like all great restaurants, they've taken to sourcing some ingredients from Japan. It's French at heart, but it goes the extra mile in sourcing complementary ingredients to improve on existing dishes. Meal-wise, there was a great variety of textures and flavors. Standouts were the smoked matsutake tea with duck liver and the venison with added truffles. If you're fan of game, this spot is for you. They did offer Hokkaido wagyu, so there's certainly other protein choices if game is too strong for you. Where they absolutely excel is their bread and desserts. The multitude of brioche varieties is too tempting and makes you want to fill up on bread alone. The desserts are as delicious as they are delectable to the eye. Come hungry and indulge as the French would on life.
Came here for a birthday dinner. I was very happy with this choice. There is a parking lot next door. The old fashioned was good but the ear grey was subtle. The sidecar was really good. Sazerac was also made well. The wine pairing was paired very well. Everything was cooked really well and the presentation was beautiful. The dessert cart was amazing. The tea cart was even better. I will definitely come back.
O by Claude Le Tohic is a Michelin-starred restaurant, nestled on the fifth floor of ONE65, is the crown jewel of Chef Claude Le Tohic's culinary empire. It offers a multi-course tasting menu, with both five and nine-course options available. Each dish is a work of art, a symphony of flavors and textures designed to tantalize the taste buds. Imagine starting with a generous trio of caviar, each paired with a different type of freshly baked bread, whetting your appetite for the culinary journey ahead. Every element on the plate complements the others, creating a harmonious and unforgettable experience. The desserts are unforgettable and the menu has a large list of non-alcoholic mocktails. If you're a foodie, a Francophile, or simply a discerning diner looking for an unforgettable night out, O by Claude Le Tohic is a must-try. Be prepared to be impressed by the innovative cuisine, the impeccable service, and the luxurious ambiance.

Wine pairing price = $150 (automatically added tip brings it to $180 or $203 w/other fees and tax) Value (retail) = $36 Markup = 420% markup (or 560% with tip & taxes) This is ranked 44/60th highest markup for a wine pairing. Overall service was excellent. Ambiance was quiet and lovely. Food was very good - two remarkably dishes (the lobster and the caviar). Their bread and dessert is top notch. Most places skimp on dessert and this is NOT one of them. I'd recommend this place for it's smaller 5-course food menu and probably go by the glass or see how the prices were for bottles (hopefully a much lower markup compared to retail, but I didn't check). More on the wine.... Wines paired totaled 3-4 glasses in volume. None of the bottles were more than $80 if you tried to purchase it on your own; avg price being $43 retail. Pours included: Domaine Hippolyte Reverdy Sancerre 2018 Le Brun Servenay Mélodie en C. Brut Champagne Grand Cru 'Avize' N.V. NV Domaine Jean-Louis Chave Saint-Joseph Selection Circa 2022 Weingut Emrich-Schonleber Riesling Trocken 'Mineral' Riesling Trocken 2021 Anthony Thevenet Cuvée Vieilles Vignes 2019 Domaine Regis Rossignol Changarnier Pommard 2018 Domaine Renardat-Fache 'Initiale' Methode Ancestrale 2022 I know it's probably silly but I get frustrated spending $150 on a beverage pairing and $295 for food and then being charged $10 for a double espresso at the end.
I'm not a fan of Italian food, it's way to rich and too heavy for dinner. O' is a detailed design for each dish and present in an authentic way. The dinning time is so long, around 3 hours, but it definitely could shorten, waiting time is longer than expected. The final round of dessert is brilliant, they provide a dessert cart and we can take anything we like!

I was told it would be an unforgettable experience and in a way it was. The food was good overall some were not so but the good outweighed the bad. I felt like service could have been better like when I bought another drink it seems like they forgot about it for a while until I mentioned about it. I was disappointed that the chef did not have an order which to eat first from the plate to maximize the taste experience like I had experience in other restaurants. I was really disappointed how we were treated at the end. We had taken the most expensive menu with upgrades and we did not receive a gift bag without asking one while other people there got one without asking and each individual got their own bag while for our group we got only one. My friend was too full to eat the last dessert and they did not even offer him to take some home to enjoy later. I think we were treated worse than others because our clothing or our age which was unfortunate. I wish they could have made us feel special like many other high end restaurants do, but in here they were biased. Food was niceish but too overpriced as my opinion as my meal total was 600$ and I have had better for two digits price. I would not recommend this place and when I told my friend afterwards he said the same about this, it is a shame as for me as a tourists this restaurant represents the quality of American Michelin restaurants.
