We live in sf and have to go dim sum all the time and my wife was impressed with dim sum here when she went to pick it up yesterday. The cha-siu (BBQ Pork) bao isn't as sweet, but done in a slightly different way and has more filling. We like it!
I've never been here, but someone brings it to bingo every time she comes and it is yummy!!! I finally asked her where she gets her dim sum.... I had look it up and write a review because it was that good....EVEN THOUGH I'VE NEVER BEEN THERE, PHYSICALLY.
Amazing value for food that is rare in SF. egg custard buns and sticky rice are delicious, as well as their dumplings. Be sure to go earlyish since towards the end of the day they run out of food
Good tasty food for cheap. I always get a medium box mixed with chow main and fried rice for $5. Also all dim sum like $1 and really good.
One of the best dim sum spots in town. Tasty and generous portions. Very reasonable prices. Straightforward and easygoing. Can’t ask for much more
Really good. Surprisingly so. Just kind of looks like any other little place, but the quality is high and the price is low. Also nice people here. Fast service and clean. Brought some home to my wife and she loved it!
A very good variety of Dim Sum and Hot dishes all at very competitive and reasonable prices. The quality was fresh, hot, and tasty.
I bought some baozi (steam buns) from there. Very affordable price. Those baozi are big with full fillings. I especially like meat baozi and red bean paste baozi. To respond the reviews who thought they are selling shark fin, they are NOT. If you see there's a name of it, it just a name and no ingredients related to shark fin at all, it just an adjective to describe the texture of Noodles or skin of dumplings. Shark fin won't sell in few dollars, use your common sense.
Authentic and very tasty. I always buy more than enough and I find myself there way too often it's that good.
SUCH DELICIOUS DIM SUM! Super fresh, high quality, lots of variety, fair prices, and really nice helpful service. Highly recommended for take-out 🤤
Great to go dim sum spot. I recommend the beef rice rolls or the shrimp rice rolls. They offer box lunches for such an affordable price. They are take credit cards too!
They now take credit card debit Wow So Cute Buns!! My favorite is Ha gaw (shrimp veggie dim sum steamed) chow fun and seasame balls
Good dim sum. I like their shrimp dumplings and taro dumplings.
$10 lunch special, a defiantly low price for San Francisco. I've gotten the pork buns here too, there isn't a single item on the menu that doesn't come at a great value. Bring cash, its possible to use card above ~15 I think but cash is king. This is a neighborhood fixture, not a tourist attraction. There is no seating, no bathroom, there is not even really an optimal place to stand or form a line, the service is not scripted, and the signage is office paper. This is not a streamlined, market-research driven customer experience. It is not a panda express. What It is, is simply a reflection of the locality it serves—a long-standing San Francisco neighborhood with a heavily Chinese heritage and enduring working class character. To eat here is to eat with the community, it's to sit at the table among neighbors and friends and share a meal. The value of the community is reflected in the value of the food, and the savings are passed on. Just a thought on what it means to have a good deal. It's not purely an economic benefit to the consumer, it often times betrays an investment into the community being served.
Been going here almost every other day and every week as well. Food is good quality, tastes so good and price is so cheap! I recommend this restaurant to everyone.❤️
My go to for quick & affordable meals! Quality is super ok for the price . Nothing beats their price with quantity and taste. $9 for a meal - noodles, fish & spareribs !! $10 for that chicken feet . Ok for me are fish , pork chop , spareribs , chicken buns , rice rolls , chicken feet & spareribs .
Definitely a great place when you’re hungry. Since I live close by I’m definitely going to be here more often. Above average Chinese fast food and friendly service which is what makes me wanna come back.

My family has been supporters of this place since before the pandemic, and their food is a staple in our household. They have great steamed buns (personally, I like the dai bao/big bun the most). While their prices have gone up, it's still very reasonable and the food is delicious!
Delicious food at an amazing price. This is a standard Chinese bakery with hot food and the food is great. A plate of food we selected: noodles, spareribs and green beans, and fried tofu $5. We also bought rice balls, steam buns, and pot stickers total $23. Throne plate alone would be $16 or more in other places. Amazing.
Open 7 days a week! Wonderful local dim sum, steam table meat & veggie options. favorites are Beef Siumai, Bao & BBQ pork rice roll. Wish I could hang out (no tables these days) yet take away many types of prepared frozen dim sum to steam at home. Not into lines? -Go on off times. You can always find pork or chicken siu mai around town- yet Chase Luck has the rare find of Beef siu mai
Crazy value. $1.25 shrimp dumplings are hard to beat. Seems like they only take cash. Struggled to understand the worker's English, but we made it work.
Great value takeout dimsum, with good amount of variety. This is our go-to place when we want dimsum without paying yumcha prices. Sometimes a small line but moves very fast. Some smaller items are sold as an order (3x), so make sure to clarify if you want just 1 or one order (3x). They also have some hot foods but we have yet to try.

Great neighborhood Chinese food and dim sum takeout. Reasonable price and good food. Prior it was under a different management and was excellent too. I have been a customer for over 35 years and it's always been good.
I get my steam buns and shomais here! and the occasional rice plates. i do however would not order the sausage buns. It's plain chinese sausage cut in half in a steam bun!
Good selection of dim sum items as well as to go foods, along with some frozen items you can take home and cook. Food is tasty, good portion sized for the price, good deal.
my go to are the lo Mai gai (lotus wrapped sticky rice) and har gow (steamed shrimp dumplings). sometimes I get the fried rice if I'm craving some. they're cash only!
A hole in the wall place with a few tables for those who want to eat inside. Big selection of dim sum and other hot foods--noodles, jook, fried rice, etc... Prices are cheap but the food quality is not. Tasty and a bit on the salty side. Servers are efficient and can be less than friendly so make sure you know what you want as there is almost always at least a few people in line during the mornings when I've gone. As with any dim sum establishment, it is best to get there early for the largest selection.
Got an order of dim sum and fried noodles. The shrimp and pork dumplings were very meaty and large. The noodles were tasty and not too salty with a nice balance with cabbage. Would definitely go here again.
It’s not Panda Express Great selection in the steam table Noodle and two mains for $9.25 great value for lunch.
Nice variety of dim sum and hot meal dishes available from the steam table. They also have various frozen meat, fish and won ton dishes available in the freezer case. IMHO, you can get a great meal here without having to drive to Chinatown. They do take credit cards with purchases over $20.
Get here early in the morning for the freshest dimsum and buns. The lunch special is very affordable priced, and everything tastes great with good portions. Don't expect a high level of service, this is a small Chinese-owned and operated shop after all.
A to-go dim sum deli with a few faves. Chicken Bao, BBQ bao, steamed pork and beef siu mais, and a choice of different cooked dishes. Fast service with a couple of fast pickers.. Fair prices. Usually a small line. Parking metered. Worth it
Good quick spot to fix your hunger pains. This is not gourmet food but tasty comfort Cantonese, other Chinese styles of food. The price is great. A full hot lunch for under $10 (dec2021)
This is a “hole in a wall” that makes some of the tastiest and least costly dim-sum anywhere. There is usually a short line waiting for service. Dim-Sum is freshly made daily. Great lunch specials: 2 steam table items plus fried rice or noodles or rice for less than $10. Also has a self serve freezer for customers to pick up extras for dinner at home. Don’t expect a fancy ambience but good and inexpensive dim-sum. Worth the trip.
Having been a customer of Chase Luck for years, I'm surprised I haven't wrote them a review yet. The staff have always been nice to me treating me as a local. They are not the best nor are they the cheapest. What keeps me coming back is the variety. Their lunch boxes aren't bad. Don't keep the lunch boxes as leftovers. It is not good the next day. The items I do like, if they have it, are lotus leaf wraps (lo mai gai), pork dim sum (siu mai) and sticky rice by the pound. $35 for what I picked up today. It used to be around $20 before the pandemic.
We got the lunch special - a box of steamed rice with 3 entrees and a box of noodle with 2 entrees. Typical Chinese food with great price. Some of the entrees are good and others, not so much so choose wisely!
Only got the baozi (small meat & veggies bun), which are not that small... jus regular size. 3 for $2.20 + tax. Wow, that must be the cheapest lunch I've ever had in SF! Very good deals~ their lunch special (which lasts all day, and they open til 6pm I think) is only $5.45 + tax. The deal is plain rice with 3 choices of meat/veggies or fried rice/fried noodles with 2 choices. They have all choices out there so you can choose with your eyes~ I haven't tried the food so I can't tell if it's good and worth the $6, But I saw other people ordering it, so I presume it's at least ok~ Service is not great, but for that price and quantity of food you can't ask much more. When I came, one of the ladies was cleaning. She didn't seem to care there were customers (I was the first one entering at 4pm, and 3 more customers followed) and kept cleaning. Must say it's not pleasant to eat while seeing all the dirty stuff on a dustpan. Also the younger woman at the counter offered to warm up my buns, which was nice. I assumed they'd be warm because they were in a steamer, but I guess the steamer is off. So I appreciated that she'd heat it up for me. The older lady told her not to offer, Only warm up if client asks. I was a bit startled at this..they were promoting bad service?? Like heating up in a microwave doesn't really consume much time or money, just offer every time! The client will thank you for it~ if their food is all cold, they'll probably be unhappy.
I am a student and found out about this place because of my brother. The prices are amazing, flavor is delicious and portions are great. This place is beyond of what I expected. Definitely not for picky persons that can't eat glorious fatty flavors. They have a lot of options of food plus dim sum and more. ONLY CASH AND NASTY DELICIOUS. SUPPORT LOCAL.
Delicious dim sum in the area . I like the pop stickers similar taste to wing sing in Sf Chinatown

Cheap prices, halfway decent quality Chinese. It's pretty much junk food, but the dim sum is actually quite alright and healthier. You could definitely get better Chinese elsewhere, but this'll satisfy the cravings quick enough.
I've been there many times and I have to say that the quality of the food is just average. The har gaw and sui Mai taste different than the traditional ones and the quality is subpar. Nothing special with the other dishes also, but the low price hook you into the restaurant.
Lot of choice of food. Prices are reasonable. I fear quality suffered because of the price. I had to wait in line to get in, so it is popular. I found a couple pieces of gristle in the pork bun and didn't care for the sticky rice with pork, it was lacking in any flavor. I may have just been unlucky in my choices. Your milage may vary.
Because I went there in the afternoon around 3pm, most items were sold out. Dimsums were cold since they were on the display tray not in the steamers. Their lunch items only had 4 dishes to choose from. I think I have to give this place another try by coming earlier since my brother loves this place so much 🙂 Price were great, 3 lunch boxes+ 2 orders har gow $29.
I usually like this place, but I ordered the green been and beef dish, and received this clump of bones and fat. I ate the green beens, but left this 12 oz mass of yuck. C'mon Chase Luck, use better beef stock!

Not quite sure what happened but over the past year the quality of the food has really gone down. I just went this morning and every dumpling had the skin torn in their steam containers. I got the shrimp/pork/chive pan fried dumpling and the skin was broken, so strange. The past couple of times I’ve gone the quality has been terrible. Really sad about it because I live so close!
In times of covid 19 I was expecting more safety protocol when serving food.I've been buying food here for awhile and food is great but today it shows how much they care about safety. The person was wearing gloves and taking cash out of customers' hand and using the same gloves to grab dimsum without any serving utensils.
Food and service used to be good, but I agree with other reviewers here. Last couple times I patroned here, noticed counter staff not calculating the total. Rather just coming up with a whole number on the spot, no receipt, overcharging me on big and small orders. Seriously, the total does not include any - cents? Came back to buy a few items this time around wishing a different staff would be more honest - didnt happen. Paid and left without word. Tip: if multiple items, best to ask for an itemized receipt. If dont provide, why?

Food is decent. However, for some reason they refuse to have more people helping in the front, or implement a better system for ordering. There is constantly a long wait even with few customers.
Horrible service, No receipt, and the ingredient they use is not clear. The entry says, noodle and the other one says, surprise surprise they make it with meat( pork). And just to make it even better they make you pay tax for and no proof of payment, I hope someone looks into this place.
