Fantastic time here - from the ambiance to the beyond excellent service and of course yummy food and exceptional cocktails! Definitely worth the time spent here and will definitely be coming back!
Every now and then find a hidden gem and today we were not disappointed Susie a co owner with her husband bring a refreshing and global beverage approach and and a menu to match . Yes they are new and we will return Eric and Leslie
My recent visit to Indigo on Steiner Street in San Francisco was nothing short of fantastic. This new gem in the Marina offers a truly delightful experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is trendy yet inviting, with a warm, friendly vibe that sets the tone for a memorable night. The cozy interior adds an intimate touch, perfect for a special evening out. The menu is a standout—an inspired fusion of Californian cuisine with creative global influences. The Kash Smash Burger and the chicken wings with Indigo hot sauce and tequila lime absolutely lived up to the hype. The handcrafted cocktails were equally impressive—both unique and expertly made. Service was exceptional. Our server, who’s also one of the owners, was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. The whole evening felt more like being hosted by old friends than dining out. Indigo has quickly become a must-visit in the Marina District. Highly recommended, and well worth exploring the full menu.
Food and drinks were great, service was even better. Very attentive with the refills. They have a large selection of cocktails, their old fashion is super good. Owner is super cool too!
An absolutely wonderful place. Happy hour is a great deal!! We got the margaritas and fries - both were delicious. The owner was so so sweet. Definitely would come back for the other cocktails: all sounded delicious.
Excellent cocktails and food. We really loved the fries and wings and it’s a new restaurant just getting their food out the door. Make sure to try their espresso martini and their old fashioned with mint. The patio outside is beautiful and we even got a little sun, but there’s also a fire pit which is great. Apparently their Wagyu burger is good too, so will have to return for that in the future.
Had a great experience in the back patio. Wings and burgers were amazing. Shout out Osman for taking such great care of us!
Amazing cocktails and service (Susie was so warm and friendly!)! Loved the atmosphere - it was a great date night spot. Glad this place opened!
Impressed by the creative menu, nice staff, clean venue, great ambiance (which was buzzin at dinner on a Friday). The place is also wheelchair/double stroller accessible. Will be returning when in town!
Food and drink were both absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the guava martini, one of the best cocktails I've had in a while.
We tried the brunch and it was absolutely amazing! The place has been open for less than a year and it’s already serving some of the best food in the neighbourhood. We even chatted with one of the owners who was very friendly and you could tell they really care about providing high quality food and service. Great people and service, definitely deserves 5 stars!:)
Indigo’s food and service were incredible. We came in with our kids starving from travel and they quickly made everyone’s hangrys go away with something tasty for everyone. Our server was so kind and welcoming. Definitely recommend for a family and/or a fun brunch.
I went here on a date. It was an amazing experience with great food and cocktails. They clearly care about their customers, and went out of their way to accommodate our needs. The menu was quite special, and very creative.
Very sweet staff. And the salmon al pastor was truly delicious. Was visiting SF and it was by far the best thing I had eaten on the trip. Incredibly lovely staff and owners who care about quality and guest experience.
Best restaurant experience I’ve had in a while! They were out of burger buns when we arrived, but the owner personally went out and got new ones for my order. Amazing burger, amazing service, and lovely environment.
Great find for us. Loved the food. Loved the cocktail choices. Staff was inviting. Downside is the volume of chatter when it’s busy, so not great for a quiet date, but really glad we ate here.
I recommend the Marina Mix! The scallops are sooo yummy! If you’re getting cocktail, get the Night of Yokai!!!! The owner is so great and staff is so nice and accommodating!! If you’re thinking of getting dinner and drinks, for sure stop by Indigo!!!!!
This new spot in the Marina is one not to be missed! The smashburger was incredible and their cocktails did not disappoint! The owner came over and introduced himself and it’s a mom and pop owned restaurant. Cannot wait to come back and try more food! Highly recommend!
Ate here on a Saturday night, and it was absolutely delicious… the burger, the oysters the cocktails were all divine. Service was amazing and our group all loved the atmosphere. would definitely come here again. Thanks yall!!
Nice ambiance, and an upscale restaurant in the Marina. Good food options, ton of cocktails and drinks on the menu, and a great staff. Pretty intimate spot, has a nice bar area too.
Great vibes, great snacks, great drinks. What else could you ask for? There’s a reason this place has almost entirely 5-star reviews. The fries are a must-have and the margarita was also really good.
We loved this restaurant. Owners there to share their knowledge of food and drinks. A foodie spot! Complex and delicious cocktails, passion fruit Martini, Smashburger, oysters, chicken wings, tomato salad. All fantastic and tasty!
We had a fantastic diner with our friends from Chile, and the owner "Kash" was on top of all the details. It was really memorable
You simply have to go here. Awesome! Food is fantastic, family owned and the owners are so kind. You can really tell they put their heart and soul into the food. The smash burger is insanely good, drinks are unique, gelato is insane. Would highly recommend.
Had a lovely time at Indigo on our visit to San Francisco. The staff are attentive and welcoming, the decor is refined and classy, yet a relaxing vibe is the key takeaway from our visit. As a family run business, you can tell it means a lot to the owners and they have poured their souls into creating a relaxing dining experience. Please support these guys as the food and drinks were top notch. Visiting from Manchester UK, we can honestly say this is a gem of a place. Highly recommended
This place is fantastic. The owner Kash was so accommodating and kind. We loved everything we ordered from the burger and wings to the salads and drinks. Can’t recommend enough!
Stellar evening here recently! Excellent innovative food and drinks, and welcoming warm service. Trout al pastor and mushroom polenta bowl were da bomb. Love their cozy back patio. Can't wait to return
As a solo guest, I was so pleased with owner,Cash, greeting me upon arrival with sincere appreciation that I chose Indigo. Fantastic place. Talented and terrific bartender, Liam was so sweet. Batter dipped seafood with fries were delicious! Music added a positive to the overall style. All this and got to watch the NFL game on the one TV while dining at the bar!!
Had a great brunch this morning at Indigo. We tried the croque madame, breakfast burrito, and eggs Benedict and each were delicious! Cash, the owner, made a point to come over and introduce himself and the interaction made us want to come back and support him. Our waitress was engaging, fun to chat with, and super efficient! We’ll definitely be back.
Was an absolutely spectacular experience, with a warm and refined atmosphere, beautifully crafted and flavorful dishes, exceptional service from our attentive and personable server Izzy, and a special touch from the family-owned charm as the owner, Kash, personally visited our table and made us feel so genuinely welcome. ✨
Loved the Steelhead trout served on the bed of slaw, guacamole and Squid Ink Tortilla. Along with the Smash Burger. Cocktails were great! Each with multiple layers of flavor. Looking forward to going back again….
This place is going to be a neighborhood gem! We are so glad we found it!! They have an incredible menu that is matched by great service and authentic hospitality. If we lived closer, this would be our “Cheers.” The owners and entire staff are lovely and really care about the guest experience—they make you feel like family. We came with our adult kids who were traveling from different parts of the US. This was our last meal together before departure. What a way to end! Our fabulous server was not only efficient and knowledgeable, but she was fun and engaging—she definitely had other tables, but never made us feel rushed. Here she is in our group selfie! We will most definitely be back!
Indigo is a fantastic new addition to the Marina. The cocktails are creative and offer something for everyone—even drinks with spirits I don’t usually prefer were impressive. I’ve visited several times, trying different options each time, and everything has been consistently great. The food is excellent, with standout homemade dips that really highlight the attention to detail. The oysters and kash smash burger are a must. It’s clear that every detail of the experience has been thoughtfully curated, and the owners’ pride and passion shine through. Don’t miss out on this gem!
SF locals who eat out a lot. Really enjoyed this place. Beautiful and vibey atmosphere, delicious food, great drink menu. Went here after a run in the marina. Ordered the smash burger and oysters, both were delicious. Great place to have a cocktail with cool vibes.
Saw Indigo on a Maps list and decided to give it a try, and we’re glad that we did. The space is welcoming and comfortable and the food was great. The burgers and fries were delicious and they have tons of cocktails to choose from. Both of the owners were friendly and it is clear that they put a lot of thought and passion into the menu and atmosphere. Excited to go back, especially for their happy hour.
stumbled into this amazing restaurant with my partner a couple months ago and good god been thinking about the smash burger every day since! amazing food, wonderful vibes, tasty drinks, and the staff + owners were the sweetest people ever! go here now u will not be disappointed <3
We went for a late lunch with our dog outside and the food was delicious and very speedy. Very enjoyable! Loved the French fries and huevos rancheros!
Came here on a rainy, lovely, sunday evening. Met with amazing table side service, kind warm and lighty dimmed atmosphere, with excellent food, and drinks with happy hour on sunday's. Really enjoyed the drinks and shrimp tacos.
This place is absolutely everything you'd want in a dinner experience. Kash and Susie have poured their heart and soul into every detail and it really shows. The wagyu burger is the best I've ever had, and I'm certain the rest of the menu is as good. I'm a huge fan of everything Indigo does. I'll go every time I'm in the area, easy choice.
Love this place! Found it on Resy, and all the reviews looked good so thought I'd check it out - Indigo definitely lived up to its reviews! Food was delicious (frisee & spinach salad, and smash burger), cocktails were extremely well made, and service was great! Good location that's easy to get to as well. Definitely recommend
This restaurant epitomizes the word "wow." Fantastic service and fantastic food. The cocktails are uniquely worldly yet perfect for San Francisco. Don't forget to try the Frisee and Spinach which is fresh, crisp, and worthy of summer. The Trout al Pastor was one of the most unique fish creations I ever had. The Polenta and Mushrooms are to die for. I love the vibe of this restaurant and you will not be disappointed either!!
Cozy neighborhood spot with ridiculously good craft cocktails, creative and thoughtful menu, and happy hour specials that run until 6:30! The owners had clearly poured a ton of thought and love into this restaurant and I can’t wait to go back and try all the house cocktails. Pro tip: The Rakshashi’s Lure cocktail is a stroke of genius, and just get the stracciatella. You won’t regret it.
The smash burger was really good. Their bun was so light and fluffy. We were able to get in on a Friday night after 20 minutes. Would definitely recommend this place to others.
Great place, good food, kind employees. Especially Izzy made us feel very welcome. Had a wonderful salad, please give them a visit when your in San Fransisco 😋🙋♀️
We stumbled into this restaurant by accident because the interior looked lovely from the outside. We could not have anticipated just what a cool and special place this turned out to be and what great a time we‘d have here. Drinks and food were simply incredible, the service personnel was very attentive, friendly and accommodating and the music that was playing in the background made for a super cozy ambiance. Meeting the two very cool and generous owners of Indigo, Suzie and Kash, made our night so special that we came back the next night to try even more stuff from the menu. If a restaurant deserves a 5 star review, it‘s this one!
The food was amazing and the vibes were great. We got the NY strip and it was one of the best steaks I’ve had in a while—so flavorful. The Marina Mix and the wings were also really good. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area. We’ll for sure be back.
My group of friends came for a big dinner (there were around ten of us) and the staff was extremely accommodating. Everyone loved their food and drinks. Between all of us we almost covered the menu and everything was fantastic! The vibe was also lovely and if you are with a large group there is a separate room for you. Thanks to all of the amazing staff, we will be back!
I stumbled upon Indigo in San Francisco completely by accident, and I’m so glad I did—it’s one of those rare finds that makes you feel like you’ve uncovered a secret. I started with the berries salad, which was overflowing with fresh, vibrant fruit. The toasted almonds added the perfect crunch and a subtle nuttiness that tied it all together. Then came the chicken wings appetizer—honestly some of the best I’ve ever had. They were perfectly crisp on the outside, tender inside, and seasoned just enough to be flavorful without overwhelming the palate. For my main, the chicken was unbelievably moist and tender—cooked to absolute perfection. But the star of the night? The Kash Smash burger. Everything about it was spot on: the soft, perfectly toasted bun, the ideal amount of sauce, and a patty so juicy it practically melted in my mouth. I went in not knowing what to expect and left already planning my next visit. Indigo isn’t just a happy accident—it’s a place worth seeking out.
The food and service at this place is actually exceptional. Drink menu, salad, mains, affogato! all incredible and well priced. The menu is pretty eclectic: you can get a waygu burger, tandoori chicken, el pastor tacos, and it’s all delicious. Incredibly friendly service, too. Most restaurants that have such a diverse menu can’t get it right, but Indigo has figured it out! Hope to see this restaurant thrive as it’s an excellent addition to the Marina restaurant scene.
Everything we ordered was flavorful and unique. The Kash chicken and the stracciatella squash are absolute must-tries. I especially appreciated that the cocktails and desserts weren't just "standard"—they were creative and thoughtful. Great vibe, lovely staff, and—mercifully—the tables aren't shoved on top of each other. Indigo doesn't just meet the "delicious" bar; it raises it. 10/10.
Indigo offers excellent service in a beautiful setting. The drink menu is comprised of cocktails that are very palatable and aesthetically appealing. The food options taste divine and are creatively displayed as part of a perfectly curated menu that completes the entire dining experience. I highly recommend a visit to this new San Francisco establishment. Looking forward to returning and seeing the growing success of Indigo in the coming months!
I ordered the shrimp tacos for starters and for the main course I went with the steak with fries for a side. My friend ordered their smash burger with fries.. the food was so amazing. We had to keep staring at each other in disbelief. Also the customer service was so good! She was so attentive and sweet! She had mentioned her and her husband run the place and honestly I can tell it’s a passion. Will definitely be back and recommend this place to others! Almost forgot to mention the atmosphere! It was so intimate and relaxing. Low lighting, nice music at a good volume, good food, good service.. 10/10 would recommend.
Fantastic dinner at Indigo! Really nice varied menu. I was craving a burger and it was excellently rich and juicy, and my friend got the spiced chicken with rice and yogurt sauce and that was wonderful too. Very thoughtfully designed, menu choices are interesting without being pretentious, and our service by the owner herself was lovely!
From the moment I called to make the reservation, Kash, the owner answered and was welcoming, friendly and helpful.them when we arrived, we had a delicious cocktail and other drink drinks at the small but beautifully appointed bar. We could see the bartender mixing everything from scratch with hand, cut and fresh ingredients. Then for dinner, we sat in the back room as we had a large group, and our server was excellent. When the food came, everything was full of color, fresh and delicious. also, it is rare when you are in a large group of 10 or more to get every single order correct with allergies, modifications, and all, and everything was perfect-Down to every last detail. Indigo is an incredibly charming and delicious spot and I highly recommend giving it a try. Thank you for a wonderful evening to Kash. And his wife!
We decided to try out Indigo for my birthday, and it was such a perfect experience. The oysters were fresh, the cocktails were creative and tasty, and the food was incredible. I loved all the creative decor, and despite having every table fully occupied around us, it wasn’t noisy at all. We could carry on a conversation as though we were the only people in the restaurant. The service was absolutely outstanding, too. The owner’s wife actually waited on us, and the owner gave us free rosé when he heard it was my birthday. He gave us a brief tour of the restaurant, which has a beautiful private room in the back that can be reserved for a larger group. We will definitely be back!
Really nice meal at this neighborhood gem. Personal service & care the highlights - the husband-wife owners infuse it into everything. The cocktails feature truly inventive flavors, not just minor tweaks labeled as “artisanal.” The oysters are great too - wanted to order more! The mains & sides were delicious & nicely presented. I LOVED the carrots especially. Hope to be back soon & check out their secret back patio & firepit. Thank you!
Excellent food and cocktails. We had the Indi GO-GO to start, then the hummus, oysters, trout al pastor, and smash burger. All their signature dishes and drinks. All were great. The most unique oysters I've had(little chucks of ahi tuna and hamachi on the oyster), great trout, and excellent burger with an incredible bun. Highly recommend. Everything was well priced, especially their beers.
Had brunch and loved the place! I had the Best Bloody Mary I've had in my life! All the dishes we ordered were delicious. The place is tastefully decorated, the owner is super kind and attentive and they have really fun cocktails. It's now on my list of places to go back to
Isabelle was the best, very genuine and welcoming energy. - Burgers- best we have had in a while. I appreciate the gluten free buns! For regular buns they get them fresh down the road- amazing. Great happy hour specials. Welcome to the neighborhood- we will be returning. 🍔 🍷 🍺 ❤️
Very personable and friendly service. Creative and wonderful cocktails. We loved the steel head salmon, scallops and fries. Worth a visit and will come back when we are back in the neighborhood next time.
Was going to a show at Palace of Fine Arts and decided to give this restaurant a try beforehand. Soo glad we did. It was new years eve and the place was very festively decorated. Our server Izzy was top notch, and just added to the overall great experience. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection. The smash burger was recommended, so will definitely need to come back to try that. They had champagne specials for the occasion, which we took advantage of. The cherry on the top was one of the owners coming out to greet us and thank us for checking out their fairly new business. Highly recommend and will definitely be back! Even on a busy night like new years eve the service was still great.
I was here for dinner last night. Excellent burger, great atmosphere. Nice ambiance, and very friendly staff! Next time I'll have to try the cocktails, which look very good! Excellent value, I recommend this place after a walk along the Marina in San Francisco. (Gluten Free Bun)
Owners truly care about making every piece of the menu the best! Super fun drink menu and a great smash burger and fries. Perfect place if you want to have a dressy dinner without boring dishes
We visited Indigo last Friday and received a great service from Kash and Susie, the food (late night dinner menu) was delicious, but the cocktails were amazing!!! Looking forward to go back and try their dinner menu. 100% recommend to try the wings and the tequila lime sauce 💚.
Sometimes life’s best moments are unplanned! After having to leave our previous reservation, we stumbled upon Indigo and it was clearly meant to be. From the warm greetings to the cozy atmosphere, everything felt right. The fusion dishes are absolutely mind-blowing; my taste buds have never been happier! Make sure to explore their drink menu, too. This place is a must-visit.
You rarely find one restaurant that lives up to their 5 stars reviews. Indigo deserved it. The restaurant was located in a nicer part of the City, no homeless people or dirty streets. It offered a simple menu and food was served with delicious flavors. Service was attentive. Overall, it was a great experience, and it didn’t break our wallet.
The place is great, the food is delicious, and the service is excellent! We ordered the wings and they were spectacular; the hummus is also delicious, and the pita bread is homemade! The apple cheesecake is delicious and the cocktails are fantastic, definitely a place we would come back to!
Love the outdoor patio! The owners and waiters were so friendly and fantastic. Very attentive staff and great food. Happy hour is the move!
Great new place! The cocktails are not only delicious but unique. The food was also extremely good. If you like oysters and tuna, the oysters here are a real treat! The burger is fantastic, and everything in general is very well executed. On top of that the folks there are friendly and provide great service.
God they are just so adorable. The couple that owns it is so personable and kind! My mom literally didn’t want to leave she was having the time of her life. Food was amazing. Drinks were glorious. Don’t question it, just get the pornstar martini
Amazing Wings and Smash Burger Indigo Hot Sauce is GREAT. Classy atmosphere and amazing customer service. Nice to see the owner going to each table and ask for honest feed back after parties finished their meals. The Happy Hour Menu was priced great for the quality Will Be Back when I'm next in town. I even bought some sauce to go
This new gem in the marina is a must-try! The oysters were delightfully fresh and the cocktails were creative and refreshing. My steak was cooked to perfection as well and the meat quality is top notch. The owner is incredibly attentive and truly cares about both the food and the hospitality. I’ll definitely be back!
Visited Indigo twice on a recent trip to the Bay Area with friends. They have carefully curated a fantastic food and beverage menu with thoughtful glassware and presentations. This place was bustling…stellar and friendly service (attentive but not annoying). Highlights were the kash smash burger, polenta with mushrooms, steak, and the tequila lime chicken wings (not pictured, but so flavorful). Cocktails were unique and tasty. Perfect date night spot or place to catch up with friends for an intimate dinner. Cheers to this amazing new spot in the Marina.
What a special spot. We rolled in after snagging a last minute reservation for a night out and Im so happy we did! Great vibe, service was incredible, amazing burgers and cocktails. Was the exact ambiance we were looking for as out-of-towners having fun in the city. Cant wait to come back!
This is my new favorite place! They absolutely crush it on every level- Service, drinks, food, dessert… My only complaint was that I could try everything on my first visit.

Had a great time at Indigo! Got the chance to try it for lunch and really enjoyed the atmosphere, food, and the service. Had a very simple lunch: Caesar salad and Fries. I asked to swap the grilled chicken for fried chicken (which technically was only available as a sandwich on the menu), but they accommodated it. It was great! Caesar dressing tasted homemade, had the perfect ratio of dressing to lettuce and cheese. And the lettuce was chilled, which is a must for a great caesar. The fries were $10 which seemed steep, but worth every penny. Thin cut by hand and fried twice. The texture was perfect and salt was on point. The best fries I've had in SF Owners came to say hi as well, and were super friendly. Gonna be back, gotta try the cocktails sometime!
Awesome vibe, tasty food, fantastic service! The owners (Kash & his wife) are friendly actively engaging with customers and helping the staff as needed. Big shout out to Izzy for being a phenomenal waitress! My girl friends and I were there for dinner to celebrate a new engagement and Kash brought us all celebratory champagne as a congratulations! Will definitely be coming back!
I visited Indigo today for lunch, and proved yet again to be an enjoyable experience. It was my second visit and is quickly becoming my go to spot. The staff has consistently impressed me with their attentiveness, warmth, and professionalism, always ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. During this visit, I had the opportunity to speak with the owner, Kash, who was great and engaging. He shared the background of the establishment, explaining how much detail and fine tuning goes into each dish, even with their fries (which are perfect and crispy). It was insightful to learn about his vision, particularly given that it is a relatively new addition to the Marina District. I opted for the Kash Smash Burger, aptly named in his honor. The American Wagyu patty is expertly prepared, undoubtedly among the finest smash burgers available in San Francisco. As a local to the Marina, I would highly recommend stopping by if you find yourself in the area. The ambiance is relaxed yet refined, the cuisine is exceptional, and with an owner like Kash who demonstrates genuine dedication, it is clear why the restaurant has gained such popularity. I look forward to returning soon.
The drinks and food programs are both FANTASTIC. What a great spot. We are not easily inpressed, per se, but each item we ordered—whether the food or cocktails—was beyond our expectations, and the owners are so nice and attentive. Absolutely recommend this spot. Perfect for a date or meeting friends.

Thank you!
Service was great and I loved my cocktail. The polenta needs to be taken off the menu till they figure out how to properly cook polenta, bland and mushy with way too much salt is not the way. Others in our party had the trout, chicken and salads. The chicken was a bit dry and the trout lack that one spice that you would say wow this is a great dish not this is kind of monotonous. Salads tasted fresh and seasoned nicely. I had chicken on my salad and that helped me overcome the dryness of the bird. Don’t be discouraged, keep improving but if a meal is prepared that badly and a customer complains, take the hit and comp the dish.
We booked a table at indigo for the NYE celebration. The service was amazing - our super active and messy toddler was treated so warm and with understanding! Appeared that it’s a relatively new family business and the owners put all their heart in making this place a local gem. The food was not bad, especially the burger. But the polenta was too liquid and the portion was small. We really liked the NY decorations and overall ambience of the place. We might come again to try other menu options.
Sad to say this was a mediocre meal (probably great drinks!). We tried several of their seasonal menu dishes - I loved was the stracciatella and the affogato, however the trout was dry, the polenta was bland and solidified in seconds, steak was burnt on the outside. That said, the service was fantastic and the owners seem to really care... I'd like to believe we caught them on a bad night (and didn't drink, which seems to make a difference).

Owners are super nice don’t get me wrong, frankly just felt that dishes were small + didn’t love the oyster combinations. Tables also felt a little tight together albeit so is every restaurant in marina. All considered it’s a 7/10
