They do not sell food here but if you're hungry, you can bring food and eat here at long you’re ordering beverages.
Nice place to grab a drink with friends or coworkers. Dj and music selections is great. They have a vip room down the stairs as well which you can access with some one you know inside.
Awesome bar!! I’ve been here a few times now, twice on a weekend night and one time for a private party. Amazing drinks, live music, and a great atmosphere and venue. Highly recommend for a night out in Chinatown!
This has become my favorite place to come to after getting dinner in Chinatown. Two bars on different levels, plus a live band that's awesome. Always a good place to end the night with.
Highly recommend! Local vibe, great atmosphere, music, and fun. The staff was friendly and quick with service.

Didn't eat there but they hand some tasty drink choices and for a nondrinker I enjoy the ginger ale when they have it. Mainly I really like the vibe there. It feels like a place you will always smile and laugh and dance in on a late foggy or warm night
Great spot on Saturdays for Live Music with local artists! Arrive early (7pm) to get seating downstairs, there's very few available Haven't tried the food yet but heard it's really good Decoration is amazing Bathrooms are very clean
I was there on Friday 23rd April, had an amazing time, waitresses and staff are very attentive and knowledgeable. The decor has a beautiful retro feel to it, with photos from days gone by. Once Corona is over, the piano will be uncovered and live music will replace the awesome tunes they have right now. My friends and I had a blast, definitely the new go-to lounge in SF!
For San Francisco I'm still confused how our bill was so small 🤨🤔🤔🤔🤔 I'm not convinced there wasn't a mistake but that aside, it's fun. The live band is great and later at night there's different music. The management was super nice to us and I still feel bad for spending so little somehow ? But for that, I encourage everyone to go check em out and give them business! Food/snacks were really good too. Conveniently located near the big parking structure right at the entrance of Chinatown on California/Kearney
Great new club in Chinatown. After a 40 year moratorium of the city not allowing nightlife in Chinatown, this is the first nightclub to open up in the district. Great mashup music and drinks and lively atmosphere. Their VIP room is fun for group karaoke and hangs with friends. Highly recommend checking out this new digs.
Great new nightclub in San Francisco. Your Premier Chinatown location, the Lion's Den has a great mix of friendships, fun and wonderful hosts!! Has one of the most wonderful sound systems I've seen or I should say heard in a nightclub in at least the last decade. And extremely well-balanced audio delight as you walk in from the entrance way all the way down into the private room in the dungeon of the Den! Met some truly wonderful new people, and made a lot of new friends that evening. I will sure be back to enjoy some quality time with proprietors Steven Lee, Gordon and others. - Nolan Apostle EC Premier Magazine
Love this place! Live music & a great crowd
I love this bar/lounge! Upstairs is a quieter area with seating and a bar, but downstairs is the lounge where the live music happens on weekend nights, and this is the place to be! We always have so much fun here. You can even rent out private tables for the live music. This is a great place to drink and dance with young people all the way to older people. I don’t recommend the signature drinks if you don’t like sweet but I like their beers or typical bar drinks. Love this place so much and its tribute to history in Chinatown.
Very cool spot to get drinks with rooms with live music! Drinks were $12-15, which is good for SF standards. If you’d rather seat and chat, the upper area had good spots for that too. Will come back if I’m ever in the Chinatown/North Beach area at night
A magical karaoke platform with live musicians. I'm going to visit the lion's den bar again very soon.
Cool bar with a chill front area and more club style back room. Drinks were nice and the buns were perfect as a snack (3 for $8)

Great little Lounge bar, live bands, great DJ music afterwards. Drinks are great but priced according to SF pricing. When the live show is on stage you see more of an older crowd in their 40's and above, once the DJ takes over it gets busy with barely 21 years old.
Drinks are sugary and I didn't finish my drink. They have live music and it's very good. A mix of young and old crowd. Otherwise, I would consider this a fancy dive bar.

I recently attended an event at Lions Den Bar and Lounge in Chinatown with a large group from my organization. The experience was a mixed bag for me, but here’s a breakdown: Food: I tried the wings, spring rolls, and chow mein, and all were seasoned pretty well. I’m not sure if the food was made in-house or catered, but it was decent overall. I also had a couple of drinks—Stella and a Gin and Tonic—which were standard but good. Service: The staff seemed fine, though I didn’t have much interaction with them beyond ordering drinks. Payment options were a bit limited, as I didn’t notice tap-to-pay, and most people just used their cards. Ambience: This is where things were a little hit-or-miss for me. When we arrived around 5:00pm, the place was pretty empty, but it picked up when our event started at 6:00pm. The seating was adequate, though some people in our group had to stand, but it didn’t seem to bother them. The lighting was actually a highlight, with colorful lights adding a nice vibe as the evening went on. The real fun began when karaoke started—definitely a high point! It really lifted the mood, especially since the Padres vs Dodgers game was also on the screens, adding to the entertainment. Overall: If you’re looking for a spot for a group event, this place might do the trick, especially with the added fun of karaoke and a game on TV. However, if I were going solo or with just one other person, I’d probably choose another spot, as the overall vibe just wasn’t for me.

At a non-peak time the bartender intentionally ignored me multiple times and when we were finally served (I just wanted a few beers) we received warm pilsners in red Solo cups. Despite being patient, respectful, and attentive, I was ignored over every new person who came up to the bar. Saw me open multiple times - Vibe was weird and unwelcoming

0 stars if i could, if you want to dance and the place is reserved just go somewhere else. They are VERY strict with reservations so don’t even go there if you want to just dance.
This bar is cool, I’ve been however very uneasy, they charge for test sheet to check for hidden drug in your drink… they charge… 1 dollar per strip… no cool to say the least.
