Wow! The tropical taco was phenomenal! Also had the house N/A drink and it was surprisingly good. Service was very nice - bartender and waiters very kind. Also really enjoyed the octopus and the chicken confit enchiladas. The inside is stunning - decorations are very interesting and lively.
We came here for an early Valentine’s dinner and had a great time! I used to come here years ago when I lived in SF and was so happy to see it’s still going strong. The cocktails were the high point and sooo good.
What Cha Cha Cha used to be, reinvented with flair Lolo delivers modern Latin tapas with vibrant flavors, playful plating, and a cocktail program that hits all the right notes. Think shareable bites, bright spices, and drinks that make you want to linger. It feels like a lively, updated version of what Cha Cha Cha once was, with its own fresh personality and plenty of Mission District charm. We love the tacos tropical, the cabbage and jalepeno salad and are always amazed at their weekly specials. Great for: lively nights out, tapas with friends, bold flavors, cocktail lovers, celebrating something fun.
This is the second time we visited and definitely loved it like the first time. The ambiance is great, food excellent and the servers warm and welcoming. The tacos are very fresh and tasty. The enchiladas well prepared and heat salsa options to go along with it. The churros were perfect with the chocolate dip. Usually very busy so made a reservation before heading there. Definitely recommend the place for a cozy dinner.
Amazing food! Fresh and delicious menu. You can really taste the thought that went into every dish. The atmosphere makes you feel at home and the service was excellent. Highly recommend.
I’ve walked by this place for years and I finally tried it yesterday. I fell silent when I took my first bite of the tuna tacos and proceeded to devour the rest of my meal. The grilled sweet potato was so delicious and satisfying on every level. The grilled octopus was splendiferous and was a great temperature. I also tried the ceviche and the guac. The chips were warm, salty and plentiful. I cannot wait to come back and try more food.
As a Londoner, I don’t often get good Mexican food on a regular basis, so I might not be the best person to judge Mexican food. But the shrimp taco (Taco tropical) is honestly the best taco I’ve ever had! It was bursting with flavour, soft melting shrimp and the jicama tortilla added such a twist on the flavour. Every dish really impressed me with a really refreshing cocktail on the side. Really cool vibe in the restaurant and definitely worth trying out
great food, great ambience, and great cocktails! just make sure you make a reservation or put yourself on the waitlist at least an hour before you're hoping to be seated. all the food we tried was fantastic, but be warned that the portions can be a little small for the price. highly recommend the ceviche to share as an appetizer - we shared among a group of 4. it has shrimp and octopus, and comes with copious amounts of tortilla chips. we also loved the taco tropical, chicken empanadas, chile relleno, birria tacos, and chile relleno. as for cocktails, you can't go wrong with any of them - a classic margarita or an adventurous sour milk cocktail are both good ways to go! for dessert, we shared the flan and it was delicious - so sweet and creamy!
Everything was absolutely delicious. The service was friendly and attentive. I really enjoyed the whole experience and will definitely be coming back.

I love the ambience, service, and food here. My go-to dishes are the tuna tartare and the chile relleno--both always hit the spot. It's a great place for a night out or even just to treat yourself.…
The food was delicious and the drinks were good. Our server was great and when I said the slushy of the day was strong, he said it's a slushy! Ha. Will be back. :)
Great food in a quirky restaurant with a lovely vibe. Attentive service - staff could not do enough to help , and super organised service
We loved our tacos! They were different from any tacos we’d ever had. The flavors were delightful and the service was great. Would definitely recommend for a unique Mexican experience in San Fran!
This is a fun restaurant in the Mission with inventive (non-traditional) dishes. The atmosphere is lively and the restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. I’d highly recommend the fried avoc…
Outstanding and unique mexican food , lovely fresh flavours , and really great service. Would highly recommend for a lovely evening
Exploring new Mexican food spots is always on my list, and this restaurant caught my eye with its enticing name. Right off the plane, it became my first choice, and fortunately, it didn't disappoint. The tacos are fantastic – I'm not sure if they're traditional, but the flavor and texture perfectly match my taste buds. The fish taco, in particular, has secured a spot among my favorites. However, the alcohol was a bit on the strong side for me, especially the jalapeño-flavored option, which I unfortunately didn't notice when perusing the drink menu. Nevertheless, the atmosphere is fantastic! The ambience creates a great vibe, making it an ideal option for a wonderful date night.
Their sauces and dressings are good. Fried avocado tacos are great with the habanero aioli. Young coconut appetizer was good if you like sour lemony sauce. Sweet Potato would have been better if it were baked or maybe bbqed - the dressing is good. Cauliflower tacos were good. Chiles Rellenos was okay - it felt too oily.
The fish tacos are incredible. If you’re a fish taco lover and have had them from all over like me, absolutely get these. I’m so picky and these were fantastic. The chicken tinga quesadilla tasted good but was so disappointing small. And the beer and drink pricing is high. $9 for a can of beer and $6 for a Mexican coke. Cocktails were all $18. This place gets busy so try to reserve ahead of time!
Loló is a fun spot in a great location. The cocktails are tasty and pretty creative, not just the standard margarita fare. The food was excellent, from the cauliflower to beef. Enjoyed the guacamole as well. The decor is artsy and fun, though very loud. The biggest downside was the service, my table waited 10 minutes from sitting until anyone came around, and it took another 15-20 minutes to get the check despite flagging down a server a couple times. Overall it was an enjoyable meal, and if you want a more sit down Mexican meal in a neighborhood full of casual taquerias, this is a good option.
Friendly service. Fast kitchen delivery. House empanadas with stretchy Oaxaca cheese. Taco tropical was really refreshing. I would not get the salad again which was a bit too salty with olives and a crumbly white cheese. Fortunately this looks to be their seasonal salad. Pork carnitas nachos was a big portion and filling. It was surprising how crisp the chips stayed.

The food was good but average, for prices above average. The place was very noisy and with loud music of poor choice (weird punky? world music, hard to tell with the noise). The bill had an extr…
This is the second time we come and unfortunately we were rushed out in slightly over 1hr. We had a reservation at 7:30pm on a Friday night, got seated at 7:40pm and by 8:40pm we were out. The server didn’t even offer dessert or other drinks. The check was on the table as soon as we finished our plates and they checked every 2min if we had put our card. The whole service dynamic felt off. Ambiance is fun, margaritas were great. Fish tacos were very good, the mole enchiladas lacked flavor.
My wife and I were in the area and so this was our first visit to this restaurant. Service was great, food was tasty, but the drinks were less than one would expect for the high prices. Having family who have owned restaurants, alcohol is where you make money but this place takes it to a new level. Margarita - $18 - more ice than actual alcohol in a small tumbler glass Hard Cider - $15 - not only did I not receive a full amount (like some places provide the whole bottle/can) but I received a small port like glass with a splash of cider similar to a skimpy pour at a wine tasting. When I finished it they asked if I wanted another? Seriously? Are you kidding? I want the full amount for the price I paid. Water was free. Skip the drinks at this place because they don't understand people want a full drink for the money. And if you do order drinks, and they are all like I describe, don't come back. Unfortunately they will learn the hard way when they have no customers and have to close their doors.

I ordered the fried avocado taco and was served fish taco. I didn’t know they made a mix up and took a bite to find out it tasted different, I then asked the waitress and she said it was indeed a fish taco. Such a mix up is absolutely unforgivable. They didn’t even apologise for the mistake and just asked if we wanted our tacos replaced. Absolutely unprofessional. Wouldn’t recommend this place!
The food here was so subpar. Ordered an assortment of tacos and n the quesadilla (which was the farthest thing I’ve seen from a quesadilla). Cute atmosphere but such a letdown to have paid $100 for such a below mediocre dinner (no cocktails— only ordered one beer!). If you like/know real Mexican food, then this is *not* the place for you.
