Thank you for making our day! My boyfriend and I came with our dog today to visit Golden Gate Park and the restaurant was so accommodating to setting up the outdoor seating for us and our dog! They brought out a chair just for him and even an extra cup of water for him to drink out of! It was the sweetest gesture ever! The food was also delicious!
Everything was great here!! The service especially was amazing and we felt very well taken care of by the woman in the front :)
Mango salad was delicious and the chow mien was the freshest I’ve ever had
The spicy mambo is like vegan calamari texture and made from mushrooms. I highly recommend it. Delicious. Food is great. Service is so friendly and kind. Always warm and welcoming. Great for big family- feels homey. Love that it's all vegan! Thanks
One of the best restaurants I have ever been to. The food was fairly priced and with large portions. It was difficult to choose because the menu was so large. There were also pictures of every menu item, which is genius. I ended up with the curry and it was delicious and spicy. I had a dessert too and it was delicious and healthy. Not to mention, Lynn, our server was super sweet and attentive. I would highly recommend this restaurant!
Great food. - vermicelli noodle + spring roll- surprisingly great, 9/10 - savory braised eggplant- 8/10 very good, but my partner was a little turned off by the artificial looking bright red sauce - sesame orange bites- 9/10 great - cheesecake- 6/10 pretty good. Have had much better vegan cheesecake - chow fun with soy jerky - 8.3/10 very good, but soy jerky had kind off a mildly funky flavor
Don't be put off by any signage; the restaurant has a very tranquil & inviting atmosphere. My mother said the sweet & sour soy was the best she'd ever had, and I really enjoyed it alongside the best potstickers I've had and really yummy orange sesame bites. Give it a try, it was all very tasty & relaxing!
It was an AMAZING experience!! The food was delicious, the environment was clean and peaceful, and the person running the restaurant, Lien, was so sweet and totally made our day!! I would highly recommend to visit here.
Eating here elicits uncontrolled, primal noises of enthusiasm. The flavors and textures are things I will dream about. And it's food you can morally feel good about eating if that's something you think about. Amazing crunchy fried mushrooms that were also gluten free!! It's hard to find GF fried things that are amazing and yet here we are. I fear that as time passes I will be confused as to whether my memory of this experience was real life, or if it was instead, a dream. Ordered: N5 - Pad thai E23 - Crispy Mushroom E11 - Spicy lemongrass Deluxe (This review is not hyperbolic - I'm just that jazzed.)
I had the spicy tofu with white rice and it was super delicious and flavorful!! It was quite a big serving too, luckily I was very hungry and was able to finish, but you definitely get your money’s worth! The wait for my food was about 15 minutes and unfortunately there’s no indoor seating, but there’s two tables outside, and there’s also some benches nearby. The lady working there seemed very nice and friendly, but also a little rushed. Overall a delicious place and I definitely want to come here again since they have a large menu and lots of choices
Had A Nice Lunch with a old high school friend of mine and we had both never been here before and I have been meaning to want to try this place for years. Now I have and the atmosphere is very Elegant and and the People are Kind and The Food is quite good but I had a problem that day with some soreness on my Tongue and it kinda hampered on my taste buds fully enjoying the meal. But I will come back to this place again.
Truly some the the best tofu I had in my life. I'm excited to come back. If you're vegan and in the area, this is a must try!
Absolutely delicious vegan food! Lots of options, very creative dishes and amazing flavors. We shared two different meals and had a chocolate cake for dessert, everything was phenomenal. The toasted/crunchy pasta was our favorite. Not too salty and just the right amount. Friendly staff, fast service, good prices. They have snacks at the counter and lots of information on vegan lifestyle. We'll be back!
Cute little Asian vegan spot in the sunset. Really good variety on the menu, interesting food, tasty. The restaurant may feel a little “unpolished”, I guess, but in the way that authentic family-owned businesses often do, probably part of the appeal for some.
I loved this place!! I went here for a birthday lunch with my meat-eating family and even they liked the food. We had the pot stickers, spring rolls, and steam bun appetizers and they were so good!! I tried pho for the first time and it was so much better than I expected!! I 100% recommend this place. The staff is really nice and friendly, the place smells good, and the food comes pretty quickly. If you live or are visiting San Francisco, you need to try this place!!
ABSOLUTELY LOVED this place and RELISHED every bite. I was on a 16 day, 6000+ mile road trip from Chicago and being vegan (for 26 years), this place was AWESOME. Even though parking was hard or non-existent nearby, it's still worth all the effort to get here. The mango salad was super fresh! The eggplant tofu was so full of flavor and savory! The guru's curry was the best of the best with amazing flavors of the coconut milk and vegetables! My Mom loved the pesto divine (super healthy and tasty). Great options for dessert and I loved that every bit as well! This is just the type of place I wish I could bring back to the Chicago area.
This is an Asian Vegan restaurant with plenty of indoor seating. My mapo tofu and string beans were really good with the right amount of spice and salt. I would likely order food in next time because the portion size is big.
Such a gem! Instantly my favorite vegan restaurant in the city Don’t let the somewhat older exterior fool you, this place is absolutely DELICIOUS! We got the Au Lac clay pot rice (9.8/10) which was one of the most delicious clay pot items I’ve ever had. We also got the spicy lemongrass tofu (9.5/10) which was delicious, Szechuan green beans (9.1/10), and Wonton noodle soup (9.0/10). All of them were consistently delicious and we will absolutely be back!
My first time at this vegan restaurant. Tried: the steamed white rice, chow mein, creamy mushroom soup, and the crispy mushroom, plates - they were all so delicious 😋. Definitely recommend this place. There is street parking, possibly free and some to pay for. There are restrooms available inside the restaurant. Chill vibe, pretty quiet except for the sound of the kitchen. Pretty clean; friendly staff.
Excellent Vegan Food! Love the soups, entres and desserts. Great people. Thank you.
Absolutely amazing! Would definitely recommend. Fav things we ordered was the lemongrass chicken, fried mushrooms, and ramen. The bbq steamed buns were also great. No indoor seating available when we went but there where two, four seater tables outside.
Love Loving Hut and I've visited this chain all around the US, Europe, and even several locations in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Each location has been different but I've never been disappointed. I ordered from this location through DoorDash. We got the BBQ steam buns, Won Ton Soup and Bun Hue Spicy Noodle Soup. Everything was absolutely amazing!! I was working and couldn't eat right away, and even an hour later the food was still hot and so delicious! They do Take Away very well, especially important during COVID.
This was a bucket list check off. The atmosphere was zen. The service was excellent and fast. I enjoyed the tofu entree and desserts. I am looking forward to my next visit. I highly recommend this vegan restaurant.

Everything was super delicious! Can't wait to come back again and try more of these amazing dishes! Lovely place and great staff! Recommended!
do yourself a favor and order the queens dish, sooo good! best vegan mock meat in SF i've had so far :) the service is also great, i will be coming back
Color first, always color. Cabbage cut into festival ribbons, violet and lime and sunlit white, tossed like laughter across a wooden bowl. The fork does not pierce. It waltzes. Each bite a small parade marching straight into joy. Then the eggplant arrives, silk-robed and glistening, garlic threading its perfume through the warm corridor of air. It yields without argument. It disappears without regret. The plate, astonished, shows its bones. Tea follows like a soft-spoken elder. Jasmine unfurls in steam, petals ghosting the rim of porcelain. The first sip opens a window no architect could draft. Service moves differently here. Not the polished glide of rehearsed charm, but the gentle orbit of someone who knows where the spoons live and does not need to look. It feels like stepping into mother’s kitchen. Apron strings tied with memory. A nod instead of a script. The stove humming its low hymn. You are given breath. Space to sit. Space to soften. Space to exist without hurry. The kitchen speaks in quiet clatter, not performance but pulse. A ladle dips. A towel folds. The room expands around you. Jasmine curls upward again, as if blessing the rafters. Outside, the city keeps its volume. Inside, cabbage and eggplant and tea compose a small republic of ease. And in that republic, you are fed, you are seen, you are allowed to stay a while.
Truly some the the best tofu I had in my life. I'm excited to come back. If you're vegan and in the area, this is a must try!
Fantastic food, friendly staff. My water glass stayed empty for much of the meal; had to go to the counter eventually for more.
I visited Loving Hut Vegan Restaurant near Golden Gate Park for lunch and loved it. The fully vegan, dairy-free, and gluten-free labeled menu was a vegetarian’s dream, letting me pick anything without worry. The menu’s mostly Chinese-inspired but also offers a cool Americana section for variety. I ordered four dishes, and every one was delicious—even my meat-eating friends were impressed! The staff was helpful, though a bit quiet. The Buddhist-inspired decor was simple and Spartan, which didn’t wow me, and parking was a hassle—two blocks away. Still, their motto, “Healthy and Delicious,” rings true, and it’s my favorite spot in San Francisco. I’d give Loving Hut four out of five stars, docking one for the plain decor and tricky parking.
3 Stars for the food 5 for the service We came on a chilly day, the heating was not on, it was not very pleasant. Food was too heavy/deep fried There are almost no veggies As a vegan I'd love to give it 5 stars but we probably won't come back. Felt very fast food level with pretty high prices.
TLDR: pretty tasty Chinese style vegan food at reasonable prices I wanted to try this and compare it to Enjoy Vegetarian. I like the food here as well, the sweet and sour “pork” was very tasty but the honey walnut “shrimp” was a little off especially for the sauce. The rice was missing a little bit of crisp on the bottom of the rice but it was s very good. Service was friendly, quick and efficient
Loving Hut is a popular vegan pan-Asian chain with locations around the west coast. This spot is a full service restaurant with an excellent menu for vegans and those wanting to try some tasty food. I ordered their Taro Rolls, Chow Fun, and Mushroom Veg medley along with a small side of brown rice. They were able to prepare everything quickly and the food lasted well in its takeout containers. I was a fan of the chow fun and the taro rolls, which were crispy and close to perfection. Something I still struggle with Loving Hut though are the prices. They still feel quite steep for what you get, but I think SF pricing just continues to break my little heart. Either way, I'm glad Loving Hut is around and available for us to enjoy.
Still no dining-in, but the food is freshly stir fried. I asked for no carrots, no soy sauce or tofu due to my food allergies but they forgot and still left shredded carrots and used a little soy. Luckily my allergies for these items are not severe but definitely check it before leaving.

Savoury food was amazing, always great to know the whole menu is vegan. One star lost as the deserts were not to our taste.
If you’re coming to The Loving Hut for the for the first time, please don’t stray away! This location is OKAY but other locations are better!! The Loving Hut is an international vegan franchise and not all of them are the same. This specific Sunset location ehh, but I only say that because I’ve had better food. Their sister location downtown in the Westfield it’s not a dine in restaurant , but their food tastes amazing. And the owner of that downtown location also owns Golden Era which is SOOO MUCH BETTER if you’re looking for a dine in restaurant. The quality of the food here and the interior design is just “descent”. If you’re vegan in the area and you want good vegan food, there’s so many more options if you’re willing to go a few miles. My issue with this place are the prices and proportions. (And taste!!!) I ordered a thai iced tea with boba and sesame orange chick’n w/ rice and it came out to $21. The drink was very small compared to other places(big as my hand) and the boba wasn’t cooked that well (too soft) and their wasn’t enough soy creamer. The sesame orange chick’n had too much sauce that the sesame chick’n was drowning in it, and everything came out very soggy. I don’t recommend this place unless you’re vegan + starving and can’t go anywhere far. I also don’t recommend this place if you’re NOT vegan because you deserve a better vegan experience. This location is not worth your $$.
The portions are good for a fair price. The service was questionable, but they got the job done quick. As for the food, I got around 3 tofu pieces in my entire dish, so that was disappointing. There was also a shrimp imitation somewhere in there which was kinda gross. Besides that, the flavors were alright and potent. I recommend this place if you don't have extremely high standards, but still want a good meal. (I ordered "No.7: Crispy Noodle")
This was the worst pad thai I've ever had in my life. I'm very confused by the amazing reviews. Maybe I just chose the wrong dish. I was very hungry and didn't feel like starting from scratch trying to find somewhere to, so I ate it. But the women who work here were super friendly.
I had high hopes for this place, but unfortunately we left disappointed. The service was very good. The atmosphere is not inviting. The food was a mixed bag. We had a couple of pretty good items, like the mango salad and the hot and sour soup. However, the crispy egg rolls were greasy, the pineapple fried rice was tasteless. The green beans and eggplant dishes were just okay.
Kind of disappointed. The Google map says the restaurant is open for dine in but it’s not. We came from San Jose to try but left without trying because it was cold outside Anne couldn’t order. The serving person was nice to us. Hope they keep the web service updated.
