Food and service was very good. Prices are reasonable. The menu on the top dining area vs bar at the ground floor are different. The views of the bay are very relaxing. The ciopinno comes with garlic/Asiago cheese bread, we ended up ordering more, so good! The petrale fish with mash potatoes was very tender. We had a pleasant experience. We will be back.
First time there. My friends and I were going to the Chase center for the Eagles show. This restaurant is only about 300 ft to Chase. We met up there and were able to be seated upstairs with a full menu. Downstairs is more of a happy hour type sitting with limited food. There is also a large patio for a shortened menu dining also. This place is all about seafood. We shared appetizers. Ceviche verde...excellent with homemade chips. Frito misto..calamari, shrimp artichoke with sauce excellent...vegan meatballs were delicious. We had fish and chips..5star..vongole..excellent...dungeness crab mac and cheese to die for. Waiter was excellent. The bar drinks were fast and a nice size. I had the vanilla bean bread pudding for dessert. It comes with vanilla ice cream in a caramel sauce..omg it was so good. We sat for 2 hours enjoying ourselves before time to go to the show. I would make a reservation ahead if u want to get the full menu upstairs. Overall a 4.5 star experience. We are definitely going to go back. Covid SF protocols are enforced.
Came with a group of friends and everyone loved it. The food was fantastic. Best crab benedict I've ever had! And our server Carlos was very attentive and patient with us. We will return.
FIRE Incredible food!!!! Great beer selecsh. Had the fish with draft mango cart wheat beer. Top notch combo. Im from MA so Ive been around a lot of solid seafood. The battering on the fish wasnt too oily and the fish was incredibly juicy and flavorful. Calamari was bomb too, taking some nice playful risks. Jaleps, artichoke, and thin lemon slices are tossed into the fry batter as well, and all play very nicely in the dish. Outdoor seating is great on the bay, somewhat shielded from the wind.
Fantastic seafood with a view. My coworkers and I went here to celebrate a coworker that was leaving for bigger and better things. Unfortunately, we weren't able to get a seat on the outdoor table. For big groups, I would definitely recommend coming at noon or earlier. Even from inside, the view of the shipping yard and surrounding east bay was nice. The food was absolutely superb. For appetizers, the calamari was crispy and perfectly seasoned, the shrimp ceviche tangy and refreshing, and the asparagus pancetta savory and delectable. For a main entree, I had the house jambalaya... I've had great jambayala before, but Mission Rock's was another level. Smoked sausage in a Cajun rice blend with clams and mussels... absolutely delicious! For dessert, we had their famous Mission Rock Vanilla Bread Pudding. Topped with vanilla ice cream and homemade caramel, it was decadent, moist, sweet, and definitely the best bread pudding I've ever had. A sure must-get! I definitely wanna come again.
Delightful experience here! It’s been on my ‘Want To Go’ list for a long time because of the ocean view, but man, did they overdeliver! The outdoor seating was perfectly suited for the daylight hours and for a special experience with family—the weather today was great and there were a lot of table options. Ceviche was soooo good and a filling appetizer, so I had the super fresh oysters as a main course! Oysters = happiness. Everyone at my table was raving about their dishes as well (rock burger, linguine, beef short ribs, crab roll, beet salad) and desserts (brownie sundae, bread pudding). If you are looking for a solid experience aka good food + ambience, check out here for sure. Their happy hour deals also look amazingly worth it.
Wow!!!! OMGISH!!!! What a perfectly beautiful place. The scenery is fabulous. The service is amazing. The food menu, the happy hour menu, the drink menu, the dessert menu, *ALL good' Sit Indoors or outside. Watch the boats go by, or the waves wrinkle. See the people walking and doing the exact same thing from the pathway below. Or enjoy the views in quiet or in a group filled with laughter. Splurge and treat yourself to an expanded selection of delicious food options. Order oysters on ice, a bucket of beers OR just sip on a cup of coffee. It's all yummy. The atmosphere is delightful. 👍🤗It Can be casual or romantic. Set up a group meeting or plan an office party. 😍😊😎😘 Anything you do is right at the Mission Rock Resort. Go now! 😁Enjoy🍴🍻🥂🍾☕🍸🍷🍤
Always lovely. I never get to do brunch because I work weekends but I was lucky enough to finally go. Service was great. Our sever had a great attitude and was very accommodating, even when we wanted to switch tables to the water side which I’m sure she’s asked to do a hundred times a day. The view is always great along with the food. We had the Caesar salad, prawn cocktail, eggs Benedict, tuna dish, and shortcake for desert along with mimosas and Bloody Mary’s. Everything tasted great and fresh, food came out in a timely manner and the service was again great. Thanks for the good times.
I have not been here since the Chase Center has been completed- but I am happy to say it’s as good as ever! I had the dungeness crab sandwich for lunch and although it is pricey it’s worth it! The amount of crab on the toasted brioche was good, and the sauce is on the side. Perfect. It also came with a generous sized salad and fries. Worth it. Of course you can’t beat the location sitting bay-side. Good stuff!
Mission Rock Resort is a fantastic seafood restaurant with beautiful waterfront views. The seafood is fresh, flavorful, and served in generous portions. Combined with the lively atmosphere and friendly staff, it’s a perfect place to enjoy a meal by the bay.
Awesome place! Great food and the customer service is impeccable. They even gave us two drinks on the house towards of the end of the night. Will definitely be coming back here again when I get a chance. The fish and chips were tasty and the salmon was actually my favorite although my girlfriend had it I will be ordering it next time that’s how delicious it was👍 Drinks were tasty as well and the view outside is great even at night to see the moon reflecting over the water is a vibe 😎
I went here last night for dinner/happy hour. The frozen Mai Thai was really good. The terrace was fully booked, so we went to the open seating section out on the water, and it was beautiful. Next time I will make a reservation, because the menu is different if you are eating upstairs, or outside.
Went for brunch, ordered American breakfast, burrata, and fries. Fries were crunchy and crispy fried well. Burrata salad was fresh with good ingredients and dressing. Bacon was a thick cut but extra crispy made it the way I'd like it. Go sit in the patio area with a view of water. Parking should be fine unless something going on in that area.
Very chill place with high-quality food and great views of the bay. Walk-ins are accepted, but it's just easier to call and reserve. Ask for upstairs tables either inside or outside. The outside deck is also covered, and it's chill indeed. They've got a nice bar upstairs too. We had fish and chips and a burger, which came with a ton of fries! A cup of Clam chowder, which was one of the best in town! Next time we'll try oysters and wine. They've got happy hour deals as well. Must go!
This was a great experience! We utilized the Cafe on the lower floor and were offered a yummy wine while we waited. Menu was simple and easy to order from and the drinks were great! We had the fish and chips, which my husband said was some of the best he ever had, and I had the Buffalo chicken sandwich. Everything was delicious and hot and the ambiance of eating on the water was awesome.
Mission Rock was the perfect place for a summer-afternoon, small-group, midweek birthday lunch for my son's 30th. Newly-re-opened, they are offering socially-distant patio dining, in 90-minute increments. They take every precaution to keep diners safe, comfortable and happy. As usual, the food was excellent, as was the view. The variety of oysters are fresh and refreshing, and seafood entrees are perfectly prepared and presented. Over the years, I've been here for Happy Hours with colleagues, and have always found the atmosphere, appetizers and attention from staff to be exemplary. Laid-back and lively good times, coupled with Pacific Coast ambiance and eats, make this relaxing establishment a great place for both everyday and extra-special celebrations.
Came here on a Saturday afternoon with the family. The place was not hard to find and parking wasn’t hard either. I could only imagine if something was going on at Chase center. Then parking would be horrible. I went with the Vongole. It was pretty good, would have liked more clams to go with the linguine, but that’s just my preference. Had good flavor and the garlic wasn’t overpowering. The wife had the buffalo chicken burger. I took a bite and it had a good kick to the chicken. Again, I think the chicken could have been more meatier, but my preference. Portions were good, if you take my preference away. Our teenager went with the tavern burger(not pictured) and I wasn’t given the opportunity to try it lol. The burger was devoured. I was told that it was pretty good and that the bun was nice and soft with a nice crisp to it. We shared the toffee brownie sundae, wow… Both the brownie and blondie were nice and warm. It complimented the ice cream perfectly. The brownie and blondie were not overly sweetened, just the right amount. Would definitely come back and try the other items on the menu. *honorable mentions* The garlic fries and complimentary bread (not pictured) Nice crisp to the fries and great flavor. Bread was nice and airy and just delicious.
Service may be a little slow but the atmosphere, the picturesque location, and the quality of food was just amazing. Have a good quality of unique oysters. There fresh, warm sourdough bread that they provide to have inside also is great. Yes you have to pay for it. All the quality of crab and seafood and caviar just spectacular. The best part is that it is walking distance to the Chase center, so if you plan ahead you'll have a wonderful night!!
Went here with friends after a cliffhanger Warriors win! Everywhere else was packed and with long wait times. Mission Rock was clutch! They were able to take us on a moment's notice AND seated us outside with a beautiful view of the bay! It was relatively chilly but the heated patio as well as their well-crafted cocktails were enough to keep us warm. Their menu is seafood driven but there are lots of other options as well. We had the Grand Shellfish Plateau which was more than enough for a party of four. Their oysters and clams were freshly shucked, juicy, and packed with ocean brininess. Pair them with an Aperol Spritz or a Paloma or both, and by the end of the night you'd be cheering "LET'S GO WARRIORS!!!"
What an amazing place with an amazing view and amazing staff! Have visited multiple times and each time the food and service have been perfect. We enjoyed early dinner before shows at Chase Center and there was plenty of seating. On one visit I had the Mission Rock Cioppino and my partner had the Jumbo Prawn Mac & Cheese, both had amazing flavor w/nice portions. On our last visit we had the burrata, grilled fish tacos and crab salad…perfect as well. The wine was outstanding w/nice pours, as was the Mai Tai. Lastly, the Espresso Martini…was crazy good! A must try! Parking can be horrendous and expensive…depending on when you visit, so definitely look for local events at Chase Center (the restaurant is pretty very close)…so that you enjoy the area and your visit to Mission Rock Resort. One more note, there’s almost a grab and go section on the first floor of the restaurant, so check that out if you’re pressed for time. I can’t review that section…since we didn’t utilize the service, but it looked like it was nicely organized.
Mission Rock Resort is a restaurant right on the water a little bit down from Oracle Park. It's got two floors, seating inside and outside and probably close to 100 total tables. Would recommend making a reservation since this is a very popular spot to go to for locals. The staff are friendly and helpful with suggestions, price for portion size is really good considering it's fresh seafood, and the taste is really solid. The salmon is delicious and their drinksbare pretty delicious with heavy pours. Would definitely come here again.
The fish and chips here are among the best I’ve ever had! The fish was perfectly seasoned, tender, and juicy, with a light, crispy batter that stayed intact throughout. Unlike many places where the dish can be bland or overly greasy. I also tried the oysters, which were really fresh. Their clam chowder was rich and packed with generous amounts of seafood Highly recommend this spot and will definitely return!
Great location on the water. Heater and large drop down tarp/plastic enclosure so 100% comfortable all year and all weather. Good service. Good was fine. Was hoping for better. I'd skip the crab roll as just average. Next time I will get eggs benedict. Still with location, service and decent food, I will be happy to return. Great find! When back today. Being a Tuesday and noonish, no brunch menu. We had crab cake deviled eggs, calamari, BLT and fish'n'chips. Great service again. Warm on patio thanks to the heaters
I went there with a friend, who lives nearby, for dinner one January evening. We didn't make reservations---so we didn't get seats next to the waterfront---but we could see those seats and appreciate why people love those seats. We ordered two salads. Both were tasty and plentiful. The cost was not too high, considering the location of the restaurant. The service was pretty good. I hope to go back there, with a reservation, to enjoy the waterfront seats some day.
I hosted a corporate team event at Mission Rock Resort. Everything was seamless, from the booking/contract process via TripleSeat, to partnering with Monique before the event date, to working with Kelsea and her onsite team on the event night itself. Food/drinks/atmosphere were all 10/10. I'm excited to host more events here! Thanks Mission Rock Resort team!
My favorite place for any meal. Breakfast/brunch, lunch, or dinner. Great for company outings as well as date nights plus their patio is dog friendly which is great for furry families. The crab is delicious and always fresh. Plus they have a great happy hour. This place is a must when visiting san francisco!
We have been here a few of times for lunch, when in the area. We usually order a fish plate. It is always good and fresh. And a nice presentation. We usually sit upstairs on the deck. Overlooking the bay. On our last visit we were a little late during the lunch rush. It looked like there was some event and most everyone sat outside. We were one of the few seated inside. Our waitress was very friendly and tried her best to serve us, as well as many tables outside. We still plan to return next time We are in the area.
Company event and the service was top knotch. We had the outdoor patio deck with beautiful bay views. Food was very good and our bar tender Noah took exceptional care of us. I highly recommend Mission resort- call Daniella ASAP to book your next event or just have a team happy hour. 🥂
It was my first visit here and I had a perfect experience. Oyster of the day were the best I’ve had, I ordered them twice because it was very fresh. Of course other plates are excellent as well. It’s a 15 min Uber ride from the city center, so if you want to have a leisurely meal, make sure to come here.
Mission Rock Resort is a fantastic spot that combines incredible food with stunning views. The oysters are absolutely amazing – fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. They’re a must-try for any seafood lover. The rest of the menu is just as impressive, with dishes that are well-crafted and delicious. What truly elevates the experience is the view. Overlooking the water, it’s the perfect setting for a relaxing meal or a special occasion. The ambiance is laid-back yet classy, making it ideal for both casual outings and more formal gatherings. If you’re looking for great food and a beautiful waterfront dining experience, Mission Rock Resort is the place to go. Highly recommended!

Food is good. 4/5, big portions and good quality for seafood fair. Alcohol has lots of options for brunch menu and bar. Recommend asking for liquor substitutes as that will up the quality of cocktails and their bar is extensive. View of bat and sea side seating is nice as well. We waited 30 minutes on Saturday
Unassuming from the front but the patio out back is a local gem: great view and well shielded from wind on most days. Bonus: there is a walk-in bar area that doesn't need reservations. The food is good: good oysters and a nice range of fresh seafood. It's an easy and enjoyable lunch spot. Do make a reservation if you want to enjoy the upstairs patio.
Love the top and bottom deck of the back of the restaurant for outdoor seating on warm days, the top deck is plenty wide enough where you aren’t crammed close to other diners. The staff is always quite friendly, the food is good, the oysters are normally fresh and they have a variety to choose from.
Great place overall! Great view, delicious food and good spirits, all you need to have a good time. Good to catch up with friends, great setting for a date, and also the correct amount of quiet and good service to be on your own. Eggs Benedict are good and the heirloom burrata is great
Got in at the beginning of happy hour on a weekday and had plenty of seating to choose from, so I got a great spot on the second floor with a view of the bay. Unfortunately it seems like their happy hour menu has been reduced and only includes 4 options, all drinks. I got one as well as the BBQ oysters, and while they tasted fine and looked great, they were a bit disappointing for the price. $18 for 4 oysters is pretty steep, but maybe it’s my fault for opting for these instead of the raw oysters for less. If I’d known the serving was so small, I’d definitely have ordered something else.
We recently moved to Mission Rock from another SF neighborhood and we're checking out all the places to eat in Mission Bay, so we made a reservation to dine here. The atmosphere is nice. Some views are better than others depending upon where you sit and which direction of the waterfront you face, but it's still a nice location. The service was good. We started with a cup of clam chowder, which was pretty good. I ordered the Mission Rock Cioppino, which I really liked. My husband ordered the dungeness crab and bay shrimp roll. He said it was okay but he wasn't a fan of the roll (bread) they used. Overall, the experience was okay. I've heard the brunch there is good so perhaps we'll come back to try that.
The overall experience was great. We sat on their patio. The heaters were on, the sun was out, and it was the perfect setting. The food was OK. I had the breakfast burrito which I didn't care for. But, I'm from San Diego, and you can't beat San Diego burritos...EVER. So that was my bad for ordering it. The Bloody Mary was not the best I've had, But I suppose it wasn't the worst either. I do recommend the ahi tuna tartare and spiced apple old-fashioned.
The lower floor is a cafe serving only a part of the menu. You order at the bar and come back to pick up your food (no service at the table). Both floors have outside seating area by the water. The view is niece and the lower floor was very quiet which was nice. The food was good. We had the crab roll and the burger. The fries were specially good and crispy. The salade was fresh. My only complaint is that they only offer plastic ustensiles which makes the experience feel a bit like a picnic...
First time visiting Mission Rock Resort restaurant yesterday and it was a great experience. Mission Rock Resort is located directly across from the Chase Center (home of the Warriors) on Terry Francois Blvd. Mission Rock Resort is an all purpose restaurant. There is a daily brunch menu from 10 am - 3 pm, a robust bar, it’s great for seafood, sits right on the water with beautiful scenery, is multi-leveled, has indoor/outdoor seating, and is good for families, friends, and date night. Reservations are recommended but not required, especially during brunch hours. Everyone loves a good brunch and mimosas. Now, to be fair, it is on the expensive side of dining. My wife and I went and had one appetizer and two entrees, which came out to about $85.00. We ordered French fries as the appetizer, which was good. I ordered the Dungeness crab and shrimp roll, which had a lot potential, but, was not worth $35.00. The toasted and buttered brioche bun was fantastic, and my sandwich would have been better, IF, the crab and shrimp weren’t {cold}. If you like this set up, it’s great, but, if you want hot seafood, I would avoid this. The menu says that it comes with fries but our server Brendan said it actually comes with kettle chips and salad. Why would every menu list the wrong items?!?! My wife had mashed potatoes and fish, which, wasn’t bad but the fish was crispy on the outside (which is great) but the consistency was off on the inside. Now, I’m willing to give any place a second chance, because of the various menus. Overall, it’s a good place.
Our server was super helpful in recommendations and really knew the menu. Great customer service. Seated outside, just above the water, it was a great way to start the day. I enjoyed the rich Hangtown fried oyster eggs Benedict. Get the fries. Also try their dungeon crab rolls..sweet, delicious, good brioche bun. Decadent. Get fresh oysters (not a fan of fresh clam) and Caesar (drink), you're set!
This is a great casual place! Food is pretty decent, great fish & chips if you're into that. Delicious calamari. Pretty tasty chowders. Great drinks and ~amazing~ live music in the outdoor seating area, often. This guy sometimes comes around with a steel drum and he's the greatest ever. 5 stars to that guy. If you want to sit inside on the weekend you'll likely need a reservation but we rolled in on a Saturday afternoon and got seating outside just fine, which was awesome anyway.
The wooden boards used as decor and a nifty chandelier made of bottles add to the character of the place. The place is light, bright, and buzzy. The menu may not be very extensive but the portions are generous. The whipped butter served with the warm sourdough bread is lovely! However, the bread was a bit too tight and tough. The spicy, minty dollops that accompanied the potatoes in the American breakfast tasted really fresh! The heaters help to enjoy the waterfront without the wintry winds. The cocktails are textured and delicious! The servers are friendly.
The ambience is great! It is right on the water and is a perfect brunch spot. They have great seafood. I would recommend their oysters! they looked amazing and everyone was getting them (allergic to shellfish) The lighting during the day makes for some great pictures. The staff is sweet but service could be a little faster. Make sure to make a reservation for the patio for brunch they are usually full. TIP: Sit outside on the upstairs patio if the lower one is closed.
Cute spot with decent food and great views. The selling point is definitely the undeniable brunch/day time drink vibes and waterfront setting. Also, it's a good spot for oyster forward happy hour ($1.50 per oyster). The food itself was decent, but there was nothing extra to write home about, with the exception of the Dungeness Crab deviled eggs, which were excellent. The caviar on top was a really nice touch of umami and texture. Cocktails and mocktails were balanced and came out quickly, and the price point was quite reasonable. Service was ok. Our waiter was nice enough, but clearly wasn't interested in engaging with us beyond basic order taking. We likely would have ordered another appetizer or another round of drinks had we been checked on more frequently. Extra kudos to the support staff who were friendly and attentive. You guys were on it!!
Food was great. Gave 4 stars for service because our waitress to start wasn't attentive. Missed some of our basic requests and then disappeared. Our next server, our waiter was much better. Throughout the night though, we were interrupted several times by staff wandering around with customers food trying to locate the correct table.
Service was a bit slow, but food made up for it. Happy Hour is not good, VERY limited options. May as well just call it $1 oyster hours. $6 for bread was ridiculous, especially when it wasn't very good, and they gave a tiny bowl of butter to go with. Fish and chips were very good, and the chips were perfection! Rose on the Happy Hour menu was quite nice and of good quality.
Excellent location and view. Outstanding service all the way around. I only wish they had mermaid merch to match their logo & branding ;). Food was great, a couple people said the dishes could be elevated, but that is more of a casual place so it was perfect. Great place to bring huge groups or small groups, especially if you're going to an event nearby. On the waterfront!
Came here for happy hour - oysters were fine, but I’ve had better happy hour oysters for similar price points (e.g., Waterbar). The location is great with lots of outdoor seating, but the reserved outdoor seating is significantly better than the walk-in outdoor seating. Overall decent experience, but not sure I would make the trek all the way back.
This is a great spot right near Chase Center. Service was quick and friendly. I had fish and chips and they say that the fish is local rock fish. I will say it was VERY fresh and tasted great. My wife had a Caesar with chicken that was tender and well seasoned. Great atmosphere for lunch or brunch. View of the very industrial waterfront is pretty cool if you’re into that sort of thing. A little on the pricey side would be my main complaint but not outrageous for SF. Street parking was ample at the time we visited (Saturday afternoon with no big events going on).
I went with my friends so we could try out different options. They were all good portion and taste good. Especially the vegan options of sprouts with hummus, vegan meatballs are great. The bread pudding with vanilla ice cream is also great. There are outdoor and indoor seating options. The outdoor had heater as well. Overall a good dining experience.

Nice restaurant but disappointing food. My buffalo chicken sandwich was good with the exception of the bun - I think the intent was for it to be toasted but it ended up more burnt. I should've taken a picture of the bottom, but it was a crunchy shell instead of a crisp bun. The vongole seems like it should have been better, but the baby clams were a bit chewy and not anything special. The fries and service were good.
Everything is pretty overpriced even for west coast standards… you’re paying a premium for the view, I suppose. Food is good, cocktails were okay… could have maybe given 4 stars but it lost the second because our waitress rushed us the entire time… and no, we didn’t stay super long, we had places to be after. From the moment we sat down, she kept trying to clear our plates mid-bite and dropped the check prematurely.. losing out on additional tips from the drinks we would have ordered.
Fries were good, they tasted just like the frozen seasoned fries from Checkers that I get from Target. Tuna salad was deceiving. It looked huge but it was just thinly sliced tuna on top of rice. My rice was cooked but my friend’s rice was undercooked. The salad had a few leaves that weren’t fresh. Overall the salad needed flavor. I didn’t have the burger but it looked juicy. I had some of my friend’s fries and they were good. Ordering was confusing. You service yourself and also feel pressured to tip. But There’s no cleaning station so we didn’t buss our own table.
I went here for happy hour. They have oysters for $1.50 each. What they had in stock for the day were fanny bay oysters. I thought the oysters were just OK. They were very small. You get what you pay for in my opinion. It's a nice spot for a social get together and has a nice view of the water. The sangria had cinnamon in it which was very odd and not very tasty. Overall I would give it another chance in the future, but would not order the same drink.
The view is absolutely spectacular, making this a prime spot for a meal. The food is decent and satisfying. Unfortunately, the dining experience was significantly marred by the inconsistent service. We encountered a few issues that were frankly unacceptable. For example, despite being the first group at lunch to order clam chowder, we were told there weren't enough bowls for our party. Furthermore, one of the waiters seemed to be in a very bad mood: they were yanking menus from the table and even spilled food while clearing a used dish.
The hanger steak I had was super tough, which has not been my experience that that cut. The atmosphere was quiet, but very big, and not a lot of people. My lady said it's not of a happy hour place, before and after baseball/basketball games. It was just ok.
This place is huge. We walked in and they told us there was no seating downstairs. OK. We wait a minute. I ask "Can we sit upstairs." Wow, we had to ask. We got upstairs and sat at the bar. Server is nice and chatty. We order drinks. Menu is big and plates are very overpriced, maybe due to proximity of Chase Center. We decide on an app of Mac and Cheese. it was served hot and on a skillet. Cool. Tasted medicochre at best... food we could have gotten at any restaurant that orders from sysco foods.
Great place near the waterfront. Beautiful views and peaceful atmosphere. Went to try out cocktails which turned out to be mediocre. The bar looks great but for some reason the drinks are a little disappointing. Pina colada was purely coconut milk topped with extremely sweet cream. We returned it and they were more than willing to exchange it for Margaritas, which turned out it be much decent. The Old Fashioned drink is renamed here as New Fashioned and was overly sweet. It lacked the main ingredient of bourbon and was purely low cost Germain liqueur. The glass it was served in seemed unhygienic. French fries were great, well made and crispy almost to perfection. Didn't wanted to order anything more since we lost our appetite. The place is great but unfortunately the drinks were disappointing today. SF chronicle and other food blogshighly recommend this place for happy hour but I doubt if they have been here to try it out themselves. I am sure the food here is great but will give it a try so time soon.
It was a sunny Saturday and we decided to seek out a spot for an afternoon lunch with a water view. We decided on Mission Rock and were happy to find parking pretty easily and got seated upstairs. So far so good. My friend tried a mimosa made with grapefruit juice while I stuck with water. We ordered the ceviche to share. I had the mussels and fries and my friend had a burger with fries. The mimosa was only average as it was difficult to discern the flavors of the grapefruit juice or the bubbly, which I believe was Prosecco. The ceviche was sadly served with either fried flour tortillas or wonton strips. They were so stale it was hard to tell. The ceviche itself lacked citrus and could’ve used a bit more salt. Unfortunately, it was very difficult to get the attention of the server to ask for more lime. Inexplicably, they serve the mussels and fries in the same dish. So my request for crispy fries was overwritten by the fact that they were soaking in the mussel cooking sauce. The mussels themselves were OK although I had to discard three or four. The burger looked really delicious, but my eating partner was underwhelmed with the flavor of the overcooked beef and the size of the patty. The fries were served in a cone shaped dish and were nestled in a sheet of paper. We both laughed when we realized that the paper was an old menu that had been cut up. Not very appetizing to think that the food you are eating has been sitting on an old menu that who knows how many people have touched.
I heavily debated between 3 star and 4 star. Ended up downgrading to 3 star because of a "surcharge" on the bill. I'm visiting Cali and was shocked to see this is a hot debate topic. Freakin' put it in the price of the food. A little hard to find parking outside. A decent atmosphere on the water. The service was slow - maybe because there was a large party downstairs? Food was hit and miss. We got sourdough bread. Crust was a little hard but the guts of the bread was very good. New England claim chowder was OK (you are not in New England). Oysters pretty good. Fish/chips was good. Drinks not bad. We shared the fish and chips (1 dinner plate), had 3 mixed drinks, the oysters (6), chowder, and bread -> total bill including the surcharge and tip came to $149 even.
Great spot along the water and perfect for a pre game meal if you are going to Chase or even AT&T. The ciopinno and clam chowder were very good. The mussels had a rather thick sauce and was too sal…
I had made a reservation for 6:45pm for 4 people and when we arrived on time, we were told the seating upstairs is full and we could sit outside, downstairs, if we find a table. Mind you, the Benso…

Please reconsider coming here if you are driving and there is a game at the Chase Center nearby! Tonight SFMTA towed 50+ cars along the entire road, all in front of the restaurant. It can cost up to $1000 to get your car back, and even if you signed up for their Text Before Tow program, they will not text you. When I went inside to tell the restaurant, they said “oh yeah, this happens all the time.” I told them they should warn customers when it happens, even just an announcement! We were just sitting inside and could have run out! It would be nice if the restaurant actually cares - multiple customers had their cars towed just trying to have dinner here.
You como here for the views and because its close to the ballpark. They cant get the food right here, its overpriced and underwhelming. Ordered a burger amd it came with a wet bun. I try to avoid but if you manage to get outdoor seats, it's a lovely setting of on a sunny day.
To be fair, this is an oyster restaurant. Order the oysters!! Silly me, we ordered everything except oysters. The food we received was very salty. We did not finish anything. The server offered to have things re-made. We declined. It was just awkward. We didn't want to upset anyone. There was so much not tasty or correct, that I'll say the positives instead. Beautiful view of the water and dock. Street parking is available directly infront of this San Francisco restaurant!!! The vibe is cool. A great spot to hang with friends while enjoying adult beverages and oysters. The outdoor seating has overhead heaters. Very nice! Wait staff is friendly.
i went here while on vacation on a whim and was severely underwhelmed. the restaurant was nearly empty, which was the first red flag. we were the only table in the restaurant at one point and our waiter only checked on us a handful of times. the drinks were fine, the clam chowder came out lukewarm, and the entrees were not very special. overall, the food was overly priced while also being extremely mediocre.
From the moment my fam and I walked in we felt uncomfortable. We were given menu’s then sent upstairs. Once up stairs waited to be seated. I asked the Hostess for a water bowl for my pup. Almost 13 min later, a waiter asked what we’d like to drink. (The restaurant was NOT busy, we had to adjust our reservations due to an accident on the bridge) I asked for a Coke, was told only Pepsi products (I don’t know all of Pepsi’s products, not a waiter, and he did not offer) so strawberry lemonade it is and my husband & son ordered ice tea. And yes, we had to ask for sugar and for a water bowl. My husband ordered Calamari, my son some bread w/salted butter then a meal- Fish & Chips as did my son and I ordered a salad. The food took 40 minutes. Again not busy at all, 40 minutes for the food. My salad had wilted pieces of lettuce and maybe 2 tablespoons of dressing. My husbands and sons fries were cold, not even warm to the touch. Yes we could have asked for fresh hot fries but the waiter conveniently disappeared for over 15 min, never came back to ask if everything was ok. When the waiter did come by, half our food was gone along with our drinks, again the waiter had to be asked if we could have more tea along with ice. Ice tea without ice 🤔 My son said he’d meet us outside the restaurant, he didn’t want to embarrass us for the $2.00 tip he was leaving for the horrendous service and meh food. As we were getting in the car a bus boy came running up to my son claiming “the receipt you signed got wet, can you come sign another?” Convenient right? How could the receipt get wet? It was secured to a small clipboard. Conclusion? The waiter didn’t like the tip and wanted to question and shame my son into giving him more. After the horrible service there’s no way the waiter was going to make my son feel uncomfortable about the tip, he wasn’t going to give one at all, but thought it would be more embarrassing to get $2.00 than nothing at all. Honestly the Fish & Chips at Chase Center & Oracle are better than this place. Never ever recommend this place! NOT PET FRIENDLY!!
