Great atmosphere for LSU Tiger Football. When LSU defeated BAMA, the place was electric. They have great atmosphere, a great staff and superb drinks. They don’t serve food but you can bring food. If you are a LSU Tiger fan, I would highly recommend coming by for the game. GEAUX TIGERS 🐅!🏈 🍺🍻🍹🥃 🎱 😎

NorthStar Cafe is THE Buffalo Expat Bar, and the only place in the city for fans to gather and watch the Bills and Sabres play. I pop in from time to time to enjoy a bottle of Labatt Blue, take in the hometown nostalgia, and pay my respects to the box of Flutie Flakes on the wall. Even if you aren't a Buffalo fan, the drinks are cheap and the people are friendly. A true local bar for everyone.

I go to the Northstar for LSU weekends. The energy is amazing, and the service is as good as possible for having 500 people in a 15 X 30 foot bar. GEAUX TIGERS!!

Northstar is my favorite bar in SF. I quickly became a regular because the owners, staff and patrons are all awesome! I am happy to call them all my friends. If you are polite they will put on any game you would like to watch, even if it isn't a local team.

Well . . . What an experience! Our Uber dropped us off across the street and before we had crossed, we were immediately welcomed. Fortunately, we got there early because the place packed quickly with Bills (and Eagles) fans — it’s also an Eagles Backer Bar. The next few hours were by far the most fun I’ve had in a bar in at least 35 years. I felt like I was on a room full of long-term friends. Staff and customers alike were without exception truly welcoming and wonderful. The experience was unbelievable. I’ve been in Bills bars literally all across the US, and this is second to none. I sent messages and Google Maps pins to everyone I know about how great this place really is. No lie: I’d rather drive the 5 hours from my home to see a Bills game here than to fly to Buffalo to see a game. This place is only missing a good beef-on-weck and great wings (they have no food), but I’m not sure you can find paragon versions of either in San Francisco. It’s a very small price to pay for an outstanding friendly welcoming experience. My wife and I both agree, the time spent at NorthStar was the highlight of our whole trip and the most fun we’ve had at a bar in several decades. We will be back to this establishment, planning a trip around watching a Bills game. Thanks guys for a wonderful experience! Northstar is my favorite bar in SF. I quickly became a regular because the owners, staff and patrons are all awesome! I am happy to call them all my friends. If you are polite they will put on any game you would like to watch, even if it isn't a local team.

Good crowd on weekends. The line for the bar can get long, but otherwise its a lot of fun.

Another North Beach dive, this place is a usual stop on any pub crawl. With two pool tables in the back "beach room," active jukebox and cute bartenders, it can definitely grow on you.

Might hear Led Zeppelin, which sure beats The Hip Hop across the street at the Boardroom. I HATE sports, but this is a decent bar, average prices.

A great little dive bar in North Beach that's been around for eons. Lots of televisions for all the big sporting events and plenty of free popcorn for everyone. It's easy to see why this is a local favorite.

Dog friendly, good bar with an affordable happy hour. They play sports games with the sound on for big games and the staff are pretty friendly. Careful though, when the bar is busy they sometimes mess up an order and pour the wrong drink, and that sucks.

Small establishment & stuffy inside. Few parking spots on the street. I recommend Ubering regardless.

I'm writing this as a warning to any women who might attend. , My friend alerted me to this sketchy behavior and noted it seemed rehearsed and we pondered if it wasn't all set up to take advantage of women who aren't well aware . Will never come back- am literally appalled at how I was treated that once I bought a drink it would be taken from me, handed down the bar to a stranger and then yelled at once I asked why my drink was taken from me and given To another person- not a strange question ~would never be questioned to a white man double my height. Felt like the bartender was trying to play me by taking my drink and giving to a man then returning to me. This place is sketch. If you’re a young woman, know they’re trying to play you , think twice before attending

As one of the previous comments stated, my friend and I also got into an altercation with a drunk white male bartender. If you do not want your night out ruined DO NOT VISIT THIS BAR.
