Thank you Heather, Leonard, Eddy, and staff for the wonderful service and food. This was a delicious way to celebrate my birthday. The branzino, tomahawk, sambusa, and Ethiopian donuts were so delicious. We enjoyed the honey wine and caviar cone also. Will definitely come again!

So I did not eat this time but I did last time and it was a real nice meal with the most beautiful spices. This time I went to meet meet someone so I had an espresso and a tequila signature drink. Both where on point perfect. I am sure there was no barista but the coffee was smooth and perfect, not bitter, I am sure some Ethiopian single origin somewhere. Will be back because the vibe was real cool.

This place is SO GOOD. We had the best server- Magaly was incredibly attentive, kind, and full of good energy. She seriously made our experience. The whole vibe is cozy and sleek at the same time, and the food…..wow. Absolutely fabulous. The pollo guisado sambusas were so good we actually ordered them twice- yes, we finished the first order and immediately asked for another. Don’t judge- just try them and thank me later!

What an amazing meal! Staff was so nice, warm, and friendly. Food was quick to come and to die for! The chicken sambosas were unbelievable! Best dish of the night. Everything was great though. Highly would recommend. Drinks awesome too!

I was on a night walk mission trying to get my 12,000 steps in before the day ended and came across this gorgeous gem of a place. I'd heard about it opening months back but came upon it last night serendipitously and decided to treat myself. The food was ahh-mazing! The appetizer was topnotch. I had a tough time deciding. The entré really made my palate dance. I love the afro-latin fusion theme, it hits a spot I didn't even know needed to be hit! The ambiance is fantastic. Music selection was great, albeit, played a little too loud. The bar tender (I sat at the table) came across as tired or having an off day, at least when it came to serving/engaging with me, but the hostess who welcomed me in, and the server who brought my food out were both super cordial and very engaging and patient with my questions. This is a really great place to meet up with friends and to take out of town guests. The oxtail pasta and yucca fries were chef's kiss! I loved the pina colada coctele as it was just the right level of sweet. The Ethio honey wine was way too sweet for me but it was my first time and I'm glad I tried it. You gotta expose yourself to different things to discover new favorites! Go to Meski, it's a total vibe.

Unbelievable! Just WOW! First time and will not be my last. Staff was incredibly friendly. Sat at the bar and ended up getting 2 beers with food. Literally everything I ordered was PERFECT! Had the salmon and chicken then the rice + beans. OMG! the flavors + spices were outstanding! For just myself I spent $100 but was totally worth it. I have to mention Jordan and Rutha for a great first experience. See you all again soon! 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Overall very pleased with one opportunity Parking wasn’t easy but it is San Francisco. Gentleman up front that checked us in was very welcoming. Our server Isabel was pleasant and helped answer all of our questions Caribbean g&t was good. Appetizers were fantastic including the chicken sambusa and plantain tibs - however not a lot of food for 3. The lamb was the highlight of the entrees followed by the chicken which was also excellent. The NY steak was a pretty big disappointment. It was cooked well and also very well seasoned however almost every piece had a ton of gristle. Donuts were as advertised - very tasty. The panna cotta was good but if we had to do it again we would have doubled up on the donuts. My wife loved the cafe con leche coffee We will be back !!!

From the moment I walked in I knew I was in the right place. They had some cool vibey music playing, the decor was en pointe and there were instagram-worth dishes being served up to tables around me. Definitely thinking of doing an event here now...

Meski is a must-visit! I went for both dinner and brunch, and everything was amazing. The Beef Tibs Hash for brunch was full of flavor, and the pancakes were perfectly fluffy. For dinner, the Beef Tibs and Lamb Jabella were top-notch, and the sambusas were a perfect appetizer. The Buna Martinis were a standout — smoky and rich, while the Meski Spritz was light and refreshing. Great food, great drinks, and a fantastic vibe. Highly recommend!

Amazing experience! Super flavorful food and great ambiance to match. The waiter was also very helpful and attentive! We were hesitant to get the tomahawk steak at first, but it became one of our favorite dishes (though definitely recommend at least four people to tackle it!)

Beautiful interior, very friendly service. Nice lounge downstairs to wait for our reservation. Did have some basketball playing in the lounge. I was very interested in the blend of Ethiopian and Dominican flavors and it was great. Portion size was good. The tomahawk was done medium but still very juicy.

Soon as I walked into Meski I was greeted by a cheerful hostess who seated our group quickly. The ambiance, art and music was a complete vibe that lived up to the hype. The owner came up to our table and greeted us when our drinks came. He was extremely friendly and welcoming. I ended up ordering the NY Strip Bistec and Pollo Guisado Sambusas which were absolutely amazing. The fusion between Ethiopian and Dominican cuisine created a flavor explosion which more than satisfied my palette. Being half Ethiopian myself and growing up eating traditional foods, I have to say this twist on culinary and culture will definitely have me coming back for more.

Had a chance to dine at Meski for my husband’s birthday. The ambiance was adult sexy vibe but family friendly as well. Tyler, our waiter, was so attentative and very nice. Chef Nelson came and greeted us at our table which made very welcoming. The food presentation was beautiful not to much very tasty.

Meski is an absolute gem in the heart of San Francisco. From the moment you step in, you’re enveloped by an ambiance that’s both vibrant and soulful—thoughtfully designed décor, warm lighting, and an infectious energy that captures the spirit of the city. The food? Simply unforgettable. As someone who’s grown up with the rich, comforting flavors of home-cooked Ethiopian dishes and has long appreciated the depth of Afro-Latin cuisine, seeing the two traditions come together so seamlessly on one plate is nothing short of magic. Every bite is bold, savory, and full of life—flavorful in the kind of way that lingers and leaves you craving more. Pair that with a glass of Paso Robles Cabernet Franc, smooth beats in the background, and the hum of a diverse, joyful SF crowd around you—it’s not just dinner, it’s an experience. Meski is everything I love about San Francisco wrapped into one unforgettable night: culture, connection, and cuisine. They have my attention—and definitely my palate.

Went to meski for dinner. It was a wonderful experience. The food is a little pricey for the portions, even by SF standards, but the dishes are packed with flavor and are truly unique to the SF food scene. I can honestly say I haven't had anything like it in the city. We started out with the drinks. Pictured are the carribean gin and tonic (the pink one), the bidi bidi bam bam (the one with the chamoy lollipop), and the frosted martini. My G&T was a little sweet for my liking, but overall was pretty good, with nice flavors. My friends enjoyed their cocktails too. For food, we ordered plantains, the chicken sambusas, the NY strip entree, and the yetsom platter. The steak was a bit overcooked, we asked for medium and got medium well, but it wasn't tough, and the sear and coffee rub were incredible. The chickpea mash and chimichurri worked very well with the dish, too. Even with it being overcooked, it was still one of our favorite dishes, which we'd all get again. We also really enjoyed the lentils (misir wet) in the platter. For dessert, we got the donuts. It was perfectly fried, and the guava sauce was to die for. Service was quick and attentive, and the vibes were incredible. The space is nicely decorated, and the playlist was nice. Lots of latin beats. All in all, this is a solid spot, and I'd definitely visit again.

Great restaurant to experience some fun and some delicious food. My cousins and I came in around 9 and had a great time. We ordered the branzino, sambusas and arroz con pollo. The food was delicious and the drink selection had variety too. Their signature cocktail the Habesha heat was delicious. Our server Mezan took great care of us and made sure we had a great time. Next time I’m in the city I’ll try to have her serve us again. Overall, phenomenal experience and I’ll make sure to come back

The food here is AMAZING! The sambusas were literally life changing, probably one of the best foods I’ve ever had in my life. The ambiance was nice and they played good music. The prices also were fair. The only thing I didn’t like is the strict reservation and cancellation policy. $75/pp for anything under 3 days notice? I think that’s a bit too strict and discourages people from making reservations here.

Grown and sexy vibe. Great for couples, large parties and even singles. Drinks are amazing especially the Bidi Bidi bum bum and Papi G. The staff is friendly and very attentive. Food was amazing. My favs are the steak tibs, sambusas, salmon tiradito and tomahawk but other dishes were really good too. The interior transports you to a jungle-esque garden. Definitely will be back very soon.

A true see-and-be-seen hotspot, this restaurant has serious star power—owned by Golden State Warriors superstar Draymond Green—and it delivers on both energy and flavor. The space is vibrant, stylish, and undeniably sexy, with a crowd that comes dressed to impress and a buzz that feels more like a nightlife destination than just dinner. The Afro-Latin and Ethiopian fusion menu is bold and creative, and every dish we tried was packed with flavor. That said, the oxtail pasta completely stole the show—rich, tender, and unforgettable. If you’re looking for a place in San Francisco with great food, an energetic atmosphere, and a glamorous crowd, this spot checks every box.

a welcome addition to the neighborhood serving african and latin dishes in a more upscale setting! you could go elsewhere for the same great flavor while being cheaper, but meski provides the ambiance. get some cocktails but skip dessert. ethiopian milk punch: the garnish could do some work but the milk punch was so flavorful, highly recommend yuca fries: skippable, didn’t like how it didn’t have the classic ridge texture sambusas: highly recommend! so flavorful and perfectly fried yetsom platter: flavorful and loved trying all the dishes east african donuts: hard pass, soggy and empty

Dear Mr.Green, Congratulations on your latest restaurant venture. As a bay area native and a warriors fan, this experience was underwhelming. 1) the acoustics and sound design in this establishment clashes and creates a clashing auditory experience. the bar downstairs was playing different music from the restaurant upstairs, and it was nearly impossible to hear my date sitting across from me. i recommend playing the same music upstairs and downstairs for seamless cohesion. 2) the sambusa was absolutely incredible, however the dish following (steak tartare) was very salty. the injera was fried and the meat was very salty coming from someone who loves salty things. 3) i was very excited for the oxtail pasta, however i was slightly disappointed to see it presented without the oxtail itself. although minor, i think it truly adds to the culinary experience. furthermore, the pasta was too al dente, resulting in a krafts mac and cheese feel. 4) after dinner we gave the bar a shot and really enjoyed the music and energy. we sat in the corner with the plant hanging from above. as we were just finally enjoying meski, staff cleaning the tables above swept water that landed on us several times. all in all, i fear that this was severely mid. however, i am open to trying again in a few months after revisions have been made. wishing you all the best Mr. Green! Go warriors!
