They should staff another bartender to help out - the bartender is great but handling way too many orders. Nice ambience and food. Would like to see more inventive cocktail options and more local beers.

I’ve been coming here for 25 years or more. The food has always been very good. Today we stopped at lunchtime really just to get off our feet and have a little something to eat. We both ordered the New England Clam Chowder and it was outstanding! Really, really good. We sat at the bar, enjoyed the great view, a glass of wine and the chowder. No wonder I keep coming back. You won’t be disappointed.

Honestly one of the best pizzas I’ve had in a long time. The crust was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft inside, and the flavors were just right. Everything tasted fresh and well made, and it was super filling without being too heavy. I don’t hype up pizza easily but this place really lived up to it. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in San Francisco.

I am obsessed with pizza and SPG has the best detroit pizza I have EVER had...even better than Tony's! There are a lot of good options in the Bay, the bar is high, but SPG wins. I was blown away the first time I had a few years ago, and I've been a regular since. Tons of good options, my favourites are The Big Von and Spicy Pepperoni. They have seasonal options that are fun to try as well. Get the cheesy bread, it's good value. And use the SPG app to get good deals. Highly recommend!!

Came here for the first time with a friend on Sunday, The pizza was amazing & So was the atmosphere, The wings were the perfect amount of spice and perfectly cooked & The ranch dressing is the best I’ve ever had in my life, I wish they had name brand sodas, But I’m not gonna knock them any stars because of that. Been eating this since 2019 - Very well-trained kitchen makes consistently high quality pizza and also underrated chicken wings. Not always a fan of detroit style squares, but this place makes something *significantly* more satisfying. Crispy maillard at the edge of the crust, great texture, and developed flavor but no over-yeasty aftertaste. San Francisco doesn't have a lot of great pies - Big Von or Pepperoni squares easily make the top 5 pizzas in the San Francisco area.

We order pizza from this restaurant once in a while thru DoorDash. The actual restaurant is in a bad neighborhood so we resort to delivery. The pizza is always good, one of our favorite spots in the city. French fries are good too! They have quite a few of pizza options on their menu, along with desserts and soda options.

I ate at their SOMA location and it’s always clean and inviting inside. The service is great and the pizza is always spot-on amazing. I recommend their green goddess sauce too for herbal taste and anchovy zing. Great for anyone near or in downtown. They’re also available for delivery, too! Cheaper than DoorDash and other delivery services and still hot when it’s delivered (yes, I dined in and also later ordered delivery the same day—the grubby pie is THAT good!).

First time here, I did take out. I am not a pizzas eater, the reason made me wanted to taste it was because the shape and thickness of the pizza. I should say that was one of the best pizza I had tried. The restaurant has very good environment, it has indoor and outdoor settings,much better than regular pizza restaurants. I wasn’t greeted when I entered but I discovered there were two sides & I entered the “to go” side. There is a computer station for you to place your own order. The pizza’s were all 25$+ except the build your own ($21) but the toppings were up to $2 a piece. I finally got someone’s attention to ask questions & she was extreme friendly & helpful. As I waited 2 other ppl checked on me. I got the crispy Brussels sprouts, fried wings & the spicy pepperoni pizza. Everything was great & nice portions as well. Sadly the location sucked. My hotel is nearby so I walked. Not sure where you would park to dine in.

Excellent pizza place! You scan a QR code at your table to order and then pay on your phone and they bring it right to your table, I love that! Detroit style pizza is my favorite and I came here with a Michigander and a friend with Celiac - both said this was excellent pizza! The only gripe we had is that the pizzas were not cooked consistently, some were super dark almost burnt on the bottom but the gluten free pizza was perfectly golden brown. All of the reviews saying that this is the best gluten free pizza ever are telling the truth! The crispy brussel sprouts were divine. I highly recommend this place.

Self service transaction so nothing to complaint about. Pizza was AMAZING! Crispy on the outside, chewy bread (in a good way) and great amount of topping. Fries was ok too. This is a huge restaurant, very roomy and could be a little loud so speak up a bit. But I will surely come back!

I was blown away by how tasty the pizza is here. Since moving back to NorCal/SF, I’ve rediscovered my love of pizza, and this place satisfied the craving. The square pizza is somewhat reminiscent of deep dish because it’s so thick but still unique on its own and definitely better in my opinion. I opted to build my own custom pizza since I wanted a specific meat/veggie combo. I selected the red sauce and cupping pepperoni for something classic and added grilled onions and mushrooms. It was absolutely everything I wanted in a pizza. I’d barely eaten all day, so I devoured about half of it in one sitting and then had leftovers the next day. I can’t wait to come again for another slice of pizza pie!

Came to this after the pride parade. The server was really friendly and accommodating. The place is close to downtown and a cute interior. We had the garlic bread which came with a citric red sauce which really primed our palette. But the real star was the Chicken Tikka-ish Pizza. This deep dish pizza had a crispy edge with a well balanced top. The pickled onions really complimented the red sauce and the cheeses melted in your mouth. The white cilantro cream really contrasted the flavors and I’d definitely have that again!

Found this great pizza joint near by the hotel and glad I did! The Ellen Supreme was delicious, thick, and had a great crunch! The wings were breaded with a great tasting Buffalo sauce. I don’t usually like wings away from home, NY, but these deserve a winning review! It was quiet with only a few occupied tables on an early Monday evening! Would recommend stopping in as I may drop by again before the trip is over.

Detroit style pizza is underrated in every city I've visited, and San Francisco is no exception. Square Pie Guys serves fantastic Detroit pies with excellent ingredients. They offer a full regular menu along with a seasonal one as well. Exoect to pay between $17 for a cheese pizza and $25 for a seasonal one. Seating is offered bar style upstairs and with tables on the entry level. There are no bad options on this menu.

McCormick & Kuleto's Seafood & Steaks, located in Ghirardelli Square, offers a great Happy Hour in the Fisherman’s Wharf area. The restaurant has stunning views of San Francisco Bay, making it a wonderful dining place. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a well-designed bar where you can relax. The friendly bartenders enhance the experience. Happy Hour is from Monday to Friday, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and it is perfect for winding down after work. The Happy Hour menu features tasty options like the Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl, which is full of fresh flavors, and Kuleto’s Cheeseburger, which is always juicy and satisfying. Celiacs beware: yummy but gut wrenching food. I could not get a straight story from the waitress or the chef. Illness was Swift and furious. Be very careful and insist that they separate, especially that they don't cook anything in the fryer. They seem A couple steps above clueless. It's a pity because the food was tasty. The service was okay. Maybe not as informed as it could have been but, friendly and helpful and good-natured. The views are spectacular and a cloudy Sunset always makes for views that look like something painted by a Dutch Master. Restroom had no toilet paper or paper towels and I had to leave a 90 something-year-old standing waiting while I ran to the bartender who couldn't care less and deflected me to the front desk which was down a level. I had to call down to her and ask her to please come up. The hostess was very kind and came running to try and find some paper products. At a place with these prices that should never be. They need to be more on top of their game. They were warm and friendly and welcoming, which we really appreciate it. But if you're going to invite someone over, you need to have the place ready. People with allergies need to be extremely careful. To pay all that money and to lose the meal right after is a complete waste. It is sad. They need to do a better job with kitchen staff. Education from the top down. Servers need far far better info about the allergy and that even when Foods just touch a person can get ill. Other five star restaurants, even four stars that are careful we have no problem with. It's just a matter of them being more aware and intentional. Parking was easy underneath.. this is a very difficult place for the elderly as it's multi-level and set on a steep hill. The nice solution is parking in the lot and taking the elevator to the front door of the restaurant. They do have a handicap half elevator inside the restaurant to make up for the distance between levels. It was a fun experience and very tasty. We wish the wait staff had been more honest about how big heavy and filling the desserts were because we ended up wishing we had split. So if you've had a full meal, just split something. The restaurant has two really nice private rooms which are great for board meetings, family anniversaries and birthdays, etc. The one on the lower level is brighter and cheerier with a view. Except for getting so ill on the food. I was wishing for a big family party to fill that beautiful room.

I should’ve done some research before coming here so I give them the benefit of the doubt. My group ended the day at Ghirardelli square after walking around the city for hours and we were all craving clam chowder in a bread bowl. We were too tired to walk anywhere else so we decided to just try it here, despite it being more expensive than the ones at the pier. We weren’t dressed very formally but we weren’t dressed poorly either but it still felt like somewhere we weren’t supposed to be. We were really disappointed when they told us the bread bowls were only for lunch time, along with a few other items that were only displayed on the menu outside. We knew it was a mistake to only come here for soup because of the slight pressure we felt to order more from our server, I understand why but, it made us a bit uncomfortable after we already declined. They were still very friendly and not rude at all, we could just tell it felt like we were wasting their time and seemed disappointed. The soup was still delicious, the clams were perfectly cooked. We ended up trying some oysters that were also great, they came with a flavored ice which was really unique. The room was nice and cozy with a decent view but this isn’t the spot I would recommend to just anybody. Also the music did not fit the fancy atmosphere at all.

Overall, I would say we had a pretty nice time. Our server just seemed less than thrilled to help us and was not that helpful on recommendations. Three out of the four dishes we ordered were very good. The view is spectacular, definitely worth going, maybe go for an appetizer or late dessert if you want to save a little money and see the view…

Gorgeous views, decent food. TL:DR The beautiful views are the best reason to visit this establishment. Definitely not an economical meal - and honestly the food was not as good as the price would indicate. Still worth a visit, but perhaps not more than one. Details: We ended up here on a weeknight during a work conference. The hostess was pleasant and accommodating, and even without reservations we were able to get a table for six with a window view. Our server was pleasant, but the service was very slow the entire night. My friend waited more than 10 minutes for a drink refill twice, and when we asked about splitting the checks, we were told it would be another 20 minutes if we wanted it that way. The food was good, but I couldn't classify any of it as unforgettable. I do recommend the salmon steak, and one of our table said the prawns were very good. Overall, it was worth the visit for the view alone, but if you are looking to spend $40-$50 a person, I would lean towards another establishment.

I would not recommend this place to be honest. As excited as I was to try it, despite the prior reviews, I was extremely disappointed in the service. We came here for my sisters birthday dinner in a party of 6, and it took us 35 minutes to have a waiter come greet us at our table and another 45 minutes to receive our drinks and get our appetizer order in. The food looked great but didn’t taste like anything special. The view is gorgeous, that’s one thing I will give them.

While the food here was delicious and usually is. The service is not what it was. Our server was wonderful, she did everything right. Of the 4 high-end restaurants we visited this trip, McCormick’s was the only one who refused to acknowledge we had checked in ahead of our reservation and were sitting in their bar. We had to go back to the hostess station to “get checked in” again. And they were not very busy. Empty tables in abundance. We won’t be back again with so many other options available in San Francisco.

Pizza was not it for me. The crust was lackluster in both the flavor and the texture department— missing that yeasty, slightly fermented flavor and consequently the chew was not there. The crispness associated with a Detroit style pizza was absent entirely. For $20+ a pizza, I also would expect more cheese and sauce, both of which also lacked flavor. The fries were good though, even at room temp. Their ranch is different. I think it’s home made, which is a plus. It’s tangy but not zesty, a little on the runnier side for me personally but I’m from the south and ranch dressing down there identifies more with yogurt than it does a sauce. I didn’t hate it. This place is popular for takeout, about a dozen or so DoorDash drivers were parked on their scooters out front waiting for their phones to light up. The restaurants online platform is via DoorDash for pickup or delivery. Neighborhood is rough no matter how you paint it once the sun goes down, your mileage may vary, though.

I booked this place a month in advance, for our anniversary. My husband and I came in about 10 minutes early. When we arrived, the hosts ignored us. I was hoping they’d ask if we had a reservation but they never did. They did help other customers as soon as they came in. I finally let them know we had our reservation soon. The whole host experience made my husband want to leave. I’m not sure what is was about us they made them want to ignore us, but it did really put a damper on the whole anniversary dinner. When we were seated, our service became much better from the servers. Our food was good. Nothing too remarkable. and the views were exceptional. You really come here for the views and the atmosphere.

Basically $30. For a decent pizza the size of a paper plate. Tried this for lunch. The pizza was ok. Very light on the sauce and was basically cheese bread with toppings. The fact that it was $28. Dollars for an ok pizza the size of a paper plate (8 ½in.) was disrespectful. On top of that there's a 5% charge for employees medical. I pay for my familys medical already i shouldn't have to help pay for your employees as well. 1st and last time I'll be eating from here.

Pizza looked good when i picked it up, I could smell something burnt, After my first bite, i could taste the burnt bottom. Flipped it over and could see the burnt bottom. Was so hungry, I ate 2 pieces, and washed them down with soda. Now i have burnt pizza after taste in my mouth,... dang wanted to like the pricey pizza,.. at least Uber eats had a Bogo deal that i used. The 2nd pizza is basically cheese, and looks a little less burnt Update After trying to eat the rest of the pizza later that night, it was barely edible, The burnt crust smell, and taste just got worse, Can't believe i ate the burnt crust slices that i did. This was beyond just well done. I wont be back for burnt pizza And i dont recommend chancing it It just shouldnt be burnt at all
