My family's favorite Chinese restaurant
Give a shot. You won't regret.
Love it😃
My favorite spot in all of california
Always great, fantastic service.
Good food for the price
Food is very affordable and delicious. Nice location and service is super.
Very delicious! The spicy salted Pork Sparerib is the best!
There is a huge menu. The portions are big. . It all tastes great.
Very good and reasonable. We go to this place all the time and take some of our visitors to this place always.
Great food reasonable priced try spicy pork and cabbage
I love the curry beef stew so much, most food is delicious,
cheap and good cantonese food, don't let the name mislead you
Best Chinese food in all of San Fransisco. Great service the workers all had great attitude. I personally suggest that you order The Beef Chow Fun With Gravy and the Salt & Pepper spare ribs!
The staff and owners are really nice! Food was fresh and warm! Perfect Chinese food restaurant award should go to this place!
Server (and also owners!) is very nice and accommodating! Much, much cleaner than the previous management! Overall, it's a nice place to have lunch or dinner ❣
My parents wanted to try this spot, it was our first time here. The staff was very friendly and nice, seems to be a family that works here. Food came out pretty fast too!! What we ordered and my thoughts: We got their 4 person meal which was $55. It came with 5 dishes, steamed rice and fruits. - Seafood with bean curd soup: It was a very cold night and so this really warmed us up. You can easily get 2-3 bowls per person which is amazing!!! Very life in flavor. Perfect for those that like seafood. - Barbeque quail: It was good and crispy! Not very meaty. Perfect to share with 4 people as you can each get one. - Clams in Black bean sauce: Sooo good! I grew up eating clams this way and so this really hit the soup. You get the sweetness and saltiness from the clam & then the black bean sauce which is also salty and has a bean flavor really elevates the flavor of the clam. - Honey Walnut Prawn: not much to say about this one, very popular and generic dish to get when going to a Asian restaurant! - Mustard greens with Seafood: One of my favorite Chinese vegetables! Kinda wish they cut it in half as it was so big and we felt it could’ve been shared more amongst the family. Nonetheless, flavors were amazing! Would we come again? Yeah probably! Staff was good and food tasted good. Portions were on the smaller size compared to other restaurants.
TLDR: not fancy place but delicious food at reasonable prices We came in as a family of five and ordered a few items. They have this specialty pulled chicken that is very flavorful though a bit too many bones for my liking. The fish with tofu is a classic, the pork belly was soft and tender, full of flavor. They also gave us space in the fridge for our cake and gave us a knife and plastic forks and plates and didn’t charge a fee. It will not be the nicest place in terms of decor but the food and service make up for it. They also did not seem to charge us for rice. The bill came out to $150 after tip for five people including five items of food and rice (no drinks)
Food was fresh and was more than enough for leftovers. Very well priced. I'll be coming here more often! Staff was very friendly and professional.
Low price, great value. I was wondering why my claypot chicken was taking so long for a 2:30 late lunch. Turns out it was a complex item, perfectly made. Small chicken with bone, some pieces just chicken, some with a delicate crispy coating. And grilled onions, scallions, mushrooms, garlic, and other delicate items, very tasty.
Delicious food. Reasonable price! Not crowed. Huge amount. Near parking.
Great taste!! I had the Hong Kong style beef/prawn chow mein!! Delicious!!
Best place to eat near Golden gate bridge on 19th Avenue.

Nice folks! There are mostly regulars happy with lots of fresh veggies, seafood, some carbs (rice and noodles - prepared in many diff. Ways). Amazing prices and freshness! My family loves coming here and we bring our friends for all sorts of good eating reasons.
This is our go-to Chinese place. We like the pork & green beans, fried chicken (subtly seasoned, not breaded, super juicy), Mongolian beef, spare ribs in orange sauce, among others. Prices are great. EDIT: Also would like to add, the spicy pork (belly) and cabbage has become our recent favorite.
There's some places that will stand the test of time. It will change a little but the bones of the place will always be a little rough around the edges and have a lot of grit. Szechuan Taste is one of those places. It will be here through all the food trends and survive all the reviews. It's a class of it's own. Food here is comfort food at it's core. It's no frills and it will most likely never become instafamous but it's tasty and good. It brings you back to a time when your biggest worry is finding the unbroken crayons. The salt and pepper pork chops are my fav and they haven't changed a bit. They aren't overly salty and just a very subtle hint of kick from the jalpenos. Some might say they need more but I say they are perfect. The breading is thin and crispy. The meat is tender and not too puffy. It's perfect with rice. Most of the other tables are getting other seafood dishes, nothing too complicated, most are a simple garlic sauce or black bean sauce. It's a classic and many of the customers are repeat ones. They know what's up.

Good value food.
Good
鹽焗蝦 酥炸比目魚 福建炒飯 滑蛋牛肉湯好棒!值得品嚐。
价廉物美,大众化美食,最近略有涨价但还是可以接受
They have a good family style special menu.
One of my go to spots for this type of food in the sunset. You get a lot of food for $5.
Good family getting together place with pretty good food.
Good Food. Very reasonable prices.
Standard Sichuan restaurant, at completely reasonable prices.
Still good food for your money...
I like this this restaurant the food so good
Good but small portions
Cheap & good food in the area.
Good food,reasonable price
Tasty yet in a typical underwhelming presentation
To me the food is not sezechuan but Cantonese Chinese food. I would say the quality of the food is 3 stars but I gave it 4 stars because of the extremely low prices and big selection.
typical chinese food, cant go wrong here service can be hit or miss sometimes, and wait times are the same.
My go to place for authentic Chinese food when I go to SF. Parking not too bad.
Chow Fun for this price is twice as much food. Nice
This is my favorite restaurant for ordinary banquet cuisine especially seafood. The food is really good if you order banquet style on their special menu especially if you are not Chinese or don't know what to order. Bring your family and you will not be disappointed.
Made a take away order today. My order was ready on time to pickup when I arrived at the restaurant. Hot food ! The foods were fresh and tasty ! A very friendly owner :)
I was able to order vegetarian dishes once I told the waitress that I don't eat meat. No problems with the food. There were fries flying around though...
A great cheap eats place in the Sunset District. Their beef chow fun is slightly greasy but absolutely delicious.
The food was good, the place was okay a little bit outdated, and the customers service was good.
Chinese different deli and dim sum and spicy Szechuan dishes, at your budget, with friendly and out of expectation customer services. Must see.😋🥰
Tasty egg rolls and reasonable prices. This Chinese restaurant has a good selection with options for people dining alone or groups. I got the egg rolls to go. I received my food about five minutes after ordering, in a takeout box with two flaps unfolded, which was a clever way to vent it in order to keep the rolls crispy. I paid exactly $10 for four egg rolls. They weren't very big, so not the best value for your money It was about a third full during lunch. The restaurant wasn't beautiful, but it was clean enough to eat in. It's obviously seen better days, but still, if you want some good Chinese food, this would not be a bad choice.
I wanted some authentic Chinese food while visiting my old hometown, and this place met the mark. Food tasted good, portions were large, and I especially looked that they brought hot tea to start me off while I looked over the menu. Overall a good experience. I do think the pot stickers could have been a bit crispier since I ordered pan fried as opposed to steamed. Otherwise everything was pretty good and I would probably eat here again. Not a place to go out of your way for, but definitely a place to eat if already nearby. I lived in this neighborhood as a child 28 years ago and there is something to be said for the fact that this is one of the only restaurants from that time still here.
Update: Large portion of rice on the special rice dishes. Friendly service.

huge menu full of Chinese comfort food classics at a family friendly price. This is a classic "I don't feel like cooking" standby, feeding the Parkside neighborhood & beyond for over 40 years running. The oysters with tofu and onions was my favorite dish of the night.

It's alright for a casual place. Good food.
They have good price and not always crowed
Not bad. I expected better on one dish
Price is right for a lot of the dishes. Got lunch there today Kung Pao chicken with fried rice for only $6.50 and it was a large serving. Unfortunately I didn't find the meal that satisfying, chicken was kind of rubbery and not very flavorful. Mostly lot of veggies and "fried rice" was just white rice with scrambled egg. I'll probably give it another try for something different, but first experience wasn't great.
Wow this place is so old school. Typical Chinese joint in SF. Food is very traditional. Portions are large. Excellent quality for what you're trying to get in other words cheap good Chinese Fair with lots of meat rice and vegetables and noodles. One complaint. Kung pao chicken is supposed to have zucchini exclamation exclamation! Come on guys don't be cheap put in the zucchini. It needs zucchini with those carrots and peanuts and hot peppers and onions. Don't forget the zucchini. I don't think you're using your own recipe I think you're trying to be cheap. Don't be cheap. Also I don't mind if you use drumstick or cheap Chicken in your recipe but don't boil it first okay put some Sizzle to it put some fry to it it will taste much better. Right now it feels like or it tastes like you pulled it out of some chicken soup and threw it in my kung pao chicken. Maybe I'm not so hot on your kung pao chicken anymore. I will give it another try though to see if you're reading this. Thank you Was back-kung pow chicken was worse than ever. (Sorry but now you are only getting 3 stars!)
It was a lot of food for the money, but it was a bit bland and some of it was hot and some was cold. Staff wasn’t very friendly and I didn’t get a fortune cookie in my to-go order which just breaks my inner child’s heart.
I enjoyed the food that was in the to go box and almost giving it a four star, found out there's a piece or strip of saren wrap like plastic meterial in the food. So be very careful next time guys.
many family style dishes. prices are unbeatable. always order to go for dinner.
A good simple place for Chinese dinner, but sometimes parking can be hard around this area.
Beef with chinese broccoli was good though I’d like the veggies to be steamed more. prawn chow mein was not marinated well. Prices are unbeatable
Food not bad... but It’s impossible that restaurant can works with SO dirty restrooms!
Dissapointing
Really the worst Asian food we’ve ever had, we did a takeout order . The won ton soup and combination chow mein were extremely salty and possibly not fresh. The wontons were soft and soggy and the calamari was rubbery and noodles were slimy in the chow mein. We couldn’t and didn’t finish the food or keep any leftovers.
I had my (Chinese) husband order many times before and it was delicious. However tonight I made the call for take-out. When I arrived they didn't have my order so I ordered again and waited patiently. But when I got home my husband was pissed to find that the generals chicken was made with tiny scraps of chicken, double fried with batter to look bigger. The texture is like eating walnuts. I told my husband this always happens when I order Chinese food as a white-woman. I get screwed on portion size or not given a quality meal. If you must order here, have the person most fluent in Cantonese order so you receive a better meal.

The dishes were made of some cheap materials. we ordered some duck and you could tell that it is just some bones left. And the restroom also made me lose my appetite
Never never going to this place again, cant believe how this restaurant is still open. We had a family dinner including kids, and we order spicy salted pork ribs/cabbage and we didn't realize that inside the cabbage was a dirty clear glove, what sucks is that we had done eating all the pork ribs and most of the food that we have had ordered, and we told the manager on duty, dont know his name but his tall and long hair, once we told the manager he burst out with a laugh(like saying oh well) man I wish I could sue this restaurant for good, bad place go eat.
This place was great up until today. Today I ordered food to go and it was a large order. However, instead of giving me the usual size entree, I ordered (2) Items, and they split it! The entrees were not even half full!! So disappointing. And it's too bad because me and my other families come here at least once or twice a month. None of us will be back. Time to find a new "Chinese Go-To!"
