Came here on a whim! I wish we could have dined in cause the owner is so nice. Restaurant was very clean and nice atmosphere. He threw in rice pudding on the house which is my favorite! Food was delicious we got the lamb tikka masala, coconut curry chicken and garlic naan. Overall will be back to sit in and enjoy when we have a babysitter for longer

Loved the matter paneer curry that we ordered, probably the best I've had in a long time. took a risk with the roti and didn't like it - felt very flat and dry and will probably come back and try some of the naans. regardless, a five because the curry was delicious and the staff was delightful!

I was hungry and decided to try this place . I got the Chicken tikka pizza because i love chicken tikka masala. The pizza is delicious and the sauces on the side make the experience and flavors even better. I do want to say that chicken could be better if it had a little more sauce. Overall the size and price is fare. I would 100% recommend this place.

Delicious food and friendly service! We tried takeout of the goat curry, tandoori fish, mutter paneer and onion naan and liked all of them! The goat curry was our favorite with plenty of meat. We asked for medium for everything and the spice level was perfect for us. Will be back to try more!

One of the best Indian restaurants that I’ve tried in the city. Butter chicken, CTM, palak paneer and lamb vindaloo were all incredible with healthy portions. Can’t wait to dine in soon. Major props, Tadka!

What a special place to have late night dinner with friends and family !! Very reasonably priced for everything they sell in quality and quantity !! Will be back again to try out more stuff ! I don’t leave a lot of reviews, but I had to leave a review for this place. The food is amazing and it is always that way. Every time I come in it is consistently good. The folks that run the place are amazing. Everyone is friendly and extremely professional. And definitely know what they’re doing when it come to food. I would recommend place to anyone that wants quality food great atmosphere and service by people who really care about their business and their food Thank you for all you do and keep up the good work

We have a late dinner and found the underated Indian restaurant. Chicken briyani, naan garlic bread, chicken butter and chicken tandoori were a muat try. They seved the dishes quickly. Open till 2 AM.

Tried this restaurant on a Sat night. Easy low key spot. Some might shy away from Indian-Fusion but this place delivers great North Indian staples plus satisfying pizza/bar bites. Something for everyone on the menu. Tips...Perhaps order ahead if in a rush, but eat-in pizza & entree came out quickly Everything tasted fresh and spice levels were catered to our order. Service was excellent, restaurant and facilities were clean. Would definitely visit again.

TLDR: Flavorful North Indian food made with love I love Indian food, but the fare in the Bay Area often disappoints more than delights. I didn’t have a go-to place in San Francisco. All the best food is in South Bay in restaurants and food trucks. So imagine my surprise when a new ‘North Indian’ restaurant pops up in the Mission. Instead of ordering on an app, I decided to ride my bike to the restaurant and find out what they recommend. I was greeted warmly by Dhillon, owner who hails from Punjab, and is passionate about his food. The staff communicate in Punjabi and you know this is legit, and a family affair. I ask Dhillon for his vegetarian recommendation. He immediately hones in on his favorite, Kadai Paneer. I order the spicy version. Next I am torn between the dal tadka and chana masala, Dhillon recommends dal tadka. Spicy please. Garlic naan is a classic. But I am feeling greedy. I love a good veggie biryani to soak up the beautiful cries and daal. But I don’t want a full order, so Dhillon offers me a half order, and throws it in! I also noticed they have a pizza oven. And whats better than an Indian pizza, an Indian pizza with paneer. So I order the spicy paneer pizza. I ride my bike and food is ready as promised in 15 minutes (pizza takes longer to bake, or it can be ready faster). Since I have a bike panier that is small, Dhillon spends 5 minutes repackaging the pizza to survive a vertical journey. Now the food. Holy <insert exaggeration>. Flavor bomb. The paneer kadai is a huge hit. Paneer is fresh and soft, and my partner who wanted a bite, wants more. I reheated the garlic naan, and it’s perfect. I add some lemon to open up the daal that is perfectly spiced, with garlic, ginger and the right amount of heat. So much flavor. It dances with the veggie biryani, where the veggies are crisp. I also noticed some freebies that Dhillon has thrown in, raita (spiced yoghurt) and kheer (rice Pudding). Overall a 5 on 5 experience. I will be back to try more dishes and I can see Tadka becoming a neighborhood favorite for all things Indian, and pizza! Since this cannot all be rosy. The only feedback I would give to Dhillon, is to go easy on the oil for my orders. It’s a personal preference. If you want excellent service, authentic North Indian food made with love, at very reasonable prices (perhaps the best in SF for quality Indian food), I would recommend calling Tadka and asking them for recommendations on your preferences. Wow !!! What an late night indian Gem that we stomped upon ! Was being in the S.F late night tried this TADKA place.Food was so good their Lamb Rogan josh and chicken korma and Butter Chicken was amazing.Will be back every week we come to city though !! Never had such a great Garlic naan !!

The tldr is that Tadka is excellent...and this comes from an Indian dude. The folks there are super nice as well. We ordered the karahi chicken, lamb biriyani, tandoori chicken and garlic naan. Every bite was better than the previous one. I HIGHLY recommend Tadka, and I so look forward to trying the other items on the rather diverse menu. Thankfully for me, I'm just a block away. Been a while since last post and all still holds true: Go often as is down street from my house and have found over the past year the food is consistent and the people are polite/appreciative/respectful/enjoyable to converse with. I order a different item each visit and each time the quality of the food is very good. Prices are fair. I eat at a lot of Indian places as I can walk to over a dozen from my house and Tadka if by far the most consistent/fair priced. Love watching them make the naan from scratch too. Whole kitchen is open and can watch all food prep/cooking.

My family and I absolutely love this restaurant! We tried a lot of Indian restaurants all over the Bay Area, but this is, by far, our favorite! The tandoori is ridiculously good and the nan is so fresh and bubbly! I am vegetarian and the rest of my family eats meat so we always get the curries in vegetarian and chicken. We never have anything left over because it is so insanely good. Tonight we dined in the restaurant for the first time instead of ordering out and it was such a treat! The owner was a complete sweetheart and provided us the best customer service that we have had in a long time. It’s always convenient ordering to our home, but we will surely be back for the warm welcome and delicious food! 🙏🏼❤️

Overall I must give this place 5 🌟, everything as I expected when I'm ordering their foods. Take out or Online. One of my favorite is their Tandoori Lamb chops. After midnight snacks try their 🍕 🍕 🍕. They'll make it how u want it.. wanna play with flavors in ur mouth ? Try their Acarra as well... Ooouuuhhhh, mmm..mmmm..exploding 😋😋😋😋😋😋😋🥰. I absolutely 💯 recommend this place. Open late too..

I went in with my couple of friends to this Restaurant in the Mission. The food was great. We ordered Chicken Biryani, Chicken Tikka Pizza, Chicken Tikka Masala. Palak Paneer, Garlic Nan and my Favorite Mango Lassi. Great food, Awesome Service, Owner Sat down with us and chatted. Me and my friends had s great time. We will be Back soon to eat some more Indian food.

The staff member who served us seemed utterly miserable and acted as if they were being forced to do their job. There was no greeting, no smile, and every interaction felt like a major inconvenience to them. The whole experience was soured by their attitude, and I left feeling very unwelcome. I will not be returning.
