Opinions de The Game Parlour San Francisco
Excellent gluten free waffles, milkshake, and more for those who are celiac. Really kind and helpful staff helped me get a lost receipt too.
Spent a few hours here on our last day visiting San Fransisco. Was very busy and we felt lucky to get a table. Big selection of boardgames with welcoming staff keen to help with our decision making. Great coffee, chicken waffle sandwich was delicious, served quickly and came with the best fries we experienced in San Francisco. TGP was fairly noisy when we visited but that's to be expected as there were gaming events happinging at the same time. Great place that I dont hesitate to recommend.
My partner loves playing Magic the Gathering and we were looking for a spot to play. He found this place and we decided to give it a try. Parking can be difficult but we managed to snag a spot nearby. The staff are welcoming and knowledgeable, there are plenty of tables for all different party sizes (reservations are definitely highly recommended), and it's nice that there are food and drink options.
My husband and I recently got into DnD and happened to find an Adventurer’s League campaign at The Game Parlour starting at Level 1 this past summer. I am so grateful to have found this group of super friendly, welcoming, helpful, and fun folks to play DnD with! The game masters are awesome and I couldn’t have asked for a better intro to DnD… I also feel tremendously lucky live nearby to be able to walk to the store, which has a great variety of sweet & savoury snacks, caffeinated and non-caffeinated drinks, alcoholic beverages, and even ice cream to boot! Happy to hear that they are expanding into the space next door…. Overall, we find the community and staff at the Game Parlour to be so kind and welcoming, and we look forward to many more sessions of DnD AL to come.
Super fun place to spend a few hours! The gaming fee was reasonable and the food and drink options were genuinely delicious!! We got the Bananagrams waffle and the What the Fish and chips and both blew us away! We'll definitely be back!
Amazing food, vibe and service. Although we didn't have time to actually play the games, it looked super fun. We ordered the Level Up Sandwich, the Root fries and the Dracula drink. Everything was fresh, servers were kind and helpful and the overall place was popping on this Saturday afternoon
My family loves this board game cafe. They have hundreds of games to play, tasty hot and cold drinks, and snack/light meal options like salads, chicken bites, and - the real food attraction - mochi waffles. I recommend a reservation if you want to come at a busy time, like a weekend afternoon, but I’ve been able to walk in at less busy times with no problems.
Great board game cafe in SF. Loved that their entire menu is gluten free as someone with Celiac. I had no reaction from the food. I had the Japanese fried chicken sandwich; the chicken and slaw were delicious and flavorful but the waffle had no flavor and kind of felt like just extra breading/carbs. Great selection of board games and no maximum time limit (just a $7 entry fee).
This place is amazing…the customer service was excellent, clean and friendly atmosphere. They make the best lattes I’ve ever had. I usually put cinnamon in my latte, however, I didn’t have to add ANYTHING! And let’s get started on the turkey avocado sandwich!!!!! Hands down…a perfect blend on waffle, meat and whatever the sauce is that they put on it😋 Yummy. Last, I’ve never seen so many games. I brought my own chess board, but didn’t need it. They also have timers! Go for the experience, you won’t regret it!
The Game Parlour is a fun place for hangouts with friends and playing games. I could be here from morning to night and still not be able to finish the endless number of games they have. Best visited with a group of 4-6 friends. We ordered chicken coup, a lychee based drink, waffle fries and another pineapple based drink. The food was delicious and the drinks were great. It is usually crowded in the evening so there might be a wait time of 10-20 mins. It’s definitely worth it.
This is a perfect place to visit if you love board game and mochi waffle ! They have hundreds of fun boards games that you access ( 7 dollars per person ) and it’s totally worth it if you are planing to stay for few hours over amazing coffee , games and foods . We tried Fried chicken and waffle . Chicken was a bit salty but was still good . My 8 years old girl loved this place and we spent 5 hours here playing catan and other games ! Looking forward to come back again !
The pink drink I ordered was actually quite decent. $7 per head for playing unlimited boardgames. A decent selection of games, in good condition, not too many on the heavy side, a lot of entry level/party games like sushi go. Allowed us to check out the selection before committing to sitting down.
Perfect hangout place to chill and enjoy the company of your favorite people. I only tried their build your own mochi waffle and it was pretty good. It was the original waffle with bananas, chocolate sauce, and chocolate scoop on top. It was pretty good combination. The service is great too. The people there at the time were very friendly. It was a Thursday evening. And the atmosphere is the best part. I really like it, plus the many board & card games you can play. It’s better to go in groups but two people can also have fun.
My family of Celiacs and non-Celiacs just happened to find this place while looking for a different cafe. You can imagine my surprise that everything was gluten free. We didn’t play any board games, but they had an expansive and fun looking collection for parties of all sizes. I wish I lived in the area because I’d purchase a year long membership.
Not the largest selection of board games to play. $7/to play all day. $60/10 games. $250 for all year, 20% off food. I would recommend if I lived in the neighborhood based on cost alone. One large room to play. Can order food (mochi waffles, savory and sweet), non-alcoholic drinks, and ice cream with a QR code at the table. The staff is nice.
Our group had to wait for a table because we showed up on a Friday night and it was already very busy, so maybe plan accordingly if you don’t want to wait. Otherwise it was a very fun and unique experience! They have many games for sale in addition to games that you can play there. The food is very good, we got waffles with chicken, banana/Nutella, and strawberry. They have mochi inside of them and are gluten free so that’s good if you’re celiac.
Good grub and good games! Food is delicious, chicken coup had tender chicken and soft waffles. My friend had the grilled cheese and didnt like it very much but overall the food looks and tastes great. Nice selection of games, although the staff dont really help you to choose games you kind of need to figure that out on your own.
This place was honestly terrible, do not come here. The concept seems nice, but the execution is really poor. Everything on the menu is gluten-free, which is great in theory, but the food we ordered was awful. We got fried chicken and fries, and it was clearly just frozen food dumped out of a bag—it was so bad we barely touched it. The cider we tried was just as disappointing. To make matters worse, the prices were already way too high for what we got, and then they charged us another $14 just to sit and play cards—even though we had brought our own deck from home and there were plenty of open tables. After one quick game of rummy, we left, having hardly eaten anything. Between the gross food, the unnecessary extra charges, and the overly bright lighting that made it uncomfortable to even sit there, the whole experience ended up being an expensive waste of time. Save yourself the trouble—don’t go here.
