Located in the G concourse of the San Francisco airport, United Club provides a convenient respite for travelers. Open daily from 7 a.m. to 1 a.m., it offers both breakfast and lunch options, with the creamy porridge being a popular choice. While appreciated for its accessibility, the lounge is noted to be somewhat smaller and older, with a more modest food selection compared to some other lounges. The friendly team and quiet atmosphere, including a dedicated quiet room with a library feel in T3, are valued by guests seeking a calmer space to relax or work before their flights.

A nice perk while waiting for flights. We found a table near food with a big window. We ate as well as watched planes go by. Food is buffet style, fun to try small servings. Our table was cleared efficiently.
I arrived around 11 am and was fortunate enough to have access to both the breakfast and lunch menus. For breakfast, my favorite was the porridge with mushroom as a topping. The porridge had a creamy texture and was perfectly seasoned. The addition of mushrooms added a savory and earthy flavor, making it a comforting and satisfying choice. Moving on to lunch, I indulged in their delicious clam chowder and stir-fried asparagus. The clam chowder was rich and flavorful, with generous chunks of tender clams. It was the perfect choice to warm up on a chilly day. The stir-fried asparagus was cooked to perfection, maintaining a slight crunch while still being tender. The dish was seasoned well, allowing the natural flavors of the asparagus to shine through. Overall, the lounge at SFO for United Airlines provided a diverse and tasty selection of meals. The combination of the flavorful porridge for breakfast and the hearty clam chowder and stir-fried asparagus for lunch made my visit truly enjoyable.
The lounge in T3, by the G gates is quiet and not very crowded. It has a quiet room and has a library feel to it. The bar is very plain, (pretty sad actually), and faces the wall with no seating. The staff there is very somber. I didn't see one smile, and the bar tender has the personality of a door stop.
United Club @G concourse between G2 - G9 gates...appreciate the convenient location but hope #UAL will renovate the lounge soon-right now its cramp, few spots to work and plug devices, and tight buffet area. Easy to connect wifi, varied and tasty light snacks-though would suggest expanding selections include Asian flavors given makeup of guests. Still thankful for the amenities UALprovided.
I had purchased the day pass and was fortunate enough to visit this spot before my connecting flight. At the front there was a sign that said day passes were not able to go due to capacity but I was lucky enough to still get in. Lots of food options, buffet style, a bar and many drink selections. A solid spot to relax as you wait for your flight. I’d definitely come back to use this spot again. I’d say it’s a solid 3.5 out of 5. It was smaller than I expected but not too crowded.
Not all clubs are created equal as we learned during our recent travel experience.\n\nFollowing the posted signs, we walked to a club near the Burger King stand and saw this sign (https://www.yelp.co…
Not a great experience. So crowed I could hardly find a seat. Some of the staff had difficulty with English and were not pleasant. Food mediocre
The lounge is clearly on the older side, with dated décor and some torn seating. The food selection is very limited compared to other Star Alliance lounges I’ve visited, but it does the job. Like most United Clubs, there is complimentary alcohol, with some items available for an additional charge. Most of the staff were extremely friendly, though the attendant at the front desk was a bit pushy about encouraging the rest of my group to get the same credit card I used to enter. Once inside, however, the staff were welcoming and pleasant. The bathrooms were very spacious and clean, though they did run out of towels at one point and it took a while for them to be restocked. The lounge was fairly crowded due to delays and the midday rush. Overall, it was an okay experience, but this club is definitely due for a remodel.
If you’ve got a long layover at SFO and $59 burning not a hole in your pocket, the United Club isn’t a bad way to spend it. Is it the most glamorous lounge ever? Absolutely not. But for the price of two airport sandwiches and a fancy latte, you get unlimited drinks, all-you-can-eat buffet snacks that actually get refilled, and super friendly staff who seem to genuinely care that you’re not stranded and hangry. Yes, some reviews make it sound like this place is a dungeon with pretzels — relax, people. It’s an airport lounge, not a spa retreat in Bali. Sure, a few loungers to stretch out on or a small sports corner would be nice, but hey, I came for the drinks, not a yoga class. Bottom line: It’s clean, comfy enough, and keeps you happily fed and hydrated until boarding time. 3 stars because it’s good value — not luxury, but definitely worth it & free WI-FI if you’ve got hours to kill. Cheers! 🍸✈️
United Club near Gate F. They had a waffle bar with berries and whipped cream - very good! The breakfast hot food was eggs and eggs with chorizo to make a breakfast burrito. Coffee was cold! 3 stars.…
This is my second time visiting this club and it continues to be overcrowded and messy. Bathrooms were discussting that i preferred to go outside the club facility.
Bartender is great. The amenities, did and everything else.... not so much. The place is worn, dated and in need of a serious refresh. Food was barely adequate and nothing to write home about.
My review is similar to reviews by others. The place is crowded and the decor is old. Food is so so. They have the booze. It gets the job done. For work or quick travel, it'd fine. If you are traveling for vacation, lounge like the Polaris is better. But then you are flying business so it goes with the territory. Too bad there is no priority pass lounge in terminal G at the SFO. I'd imagine priorty pass lounges would be better.
The United clubs at SFO can range from awful to tolerable. Been a 1K for well over a decade and a club member for just as long. The SF clubs are the bottom for me. Usually excessively crowded and what surprises me the most is a lot of the staff makes you feel like you are bothering them or they are doing you a favor. The food is CONSISTANTLY disappointing. It’s hard for me to write a review like this because I dont like to complain or fuss but United has got to realize that it’s constantly traveling club members generally HATE the SFO clubs. I travel through Denver as much as possible now vice just to use the FAR SUPERIOR clubs in Denver. I am a loyal United guy but have thought about switching to AMEX clubs just cause SFO has gotten so bad. I want them to step it up so bad but I fear it won’t. SFO has been like this for years now.
There's a sign saying they don't accept one-time passes. When I ask why in English they don't give a reason. When I ask in their native language, they finally say it's because there's not enough seating. And I could enter but do I want to be standing? LOL 😂 Unfortunately all I have are one-time passes. Seeing the reviews saying the food is mediocre, maybe I lucked out. The front desk reps speak in an unfriendly tone 😔
Bare bones. No bacon or sausage? C'mon! Lots of bread but NO TOASTER! This is one of the worst clubs I've been in. Just pathetic. I would have given them feedback, but their survey is "closed." I won…
Gate G - you buy a one time pass, the. Turn up to find a tatty pull up sign at the entrance saying ‘unable to accept one time passes at this time’. Two desk staff the rudest and least helpful United …
This is by far the worst airport lounge I have ever encountered. It is small, looks like it hasn’t been upgraded since 1984, and has the worst selection of food I’ve ever seen. It was actually more comfortable sitting at the gate than in this lounge, especially because whatever the gruel they were serving was, smelt absolutely horrid. If I could give it zero stars I would - just awful,
I have tried to come to this lounge more than five times, and they always have a sign outside saying they are not welcoming day passes. This is a total scam, they just do not want extra people in the lounge. It does not show well for United as they continue to offer mediocre limited services.
I arrived at around noon on a Saturday and it was COMPLETELY FULL. So many people were squeezed in a tight space. Sitting outside at the free tables on the hallway was a much better experience.
I’ve been to probably a dozen or so airport lounges in Canada, the US, and Latin America.. This is hands down the worst. I was told there would be chicken and pulled pork. No pulled pork. Cast iron skillet of “chicken” with a few tiny pieces of chicken and mostly chick peas. Tiny turkey sandwiches. Smallest lounge “buffet” I’ve ever seen. $59 USD for watered down coors light and lousy cafeteria food. It’s clean, because most people are probably smart enough not to come here. Wouldn’t pay more than $20 to come here just to sit in quiet. I’d rather be hungry—at least I’d still have the money I wasted on this garbage. Stay away.
This lounge is honestly one of the worst lounges I’ve used at SFO. The space is extremely dated, the food selection is almost nonexistent, and the overall experience was disappointing. The staff were also quite indifferent and not very friendly. Surprisingly, the lounge was already packed around 9 a.m., and the seating area is very small, making it impossible to relax. I can only hope the upcoming ANA flight has plenty of good food to make up for this experience.
Drinking non alcaholic drinks out of paper cups at this Star Alliance partner lounge. This place is dated and beige, If I was Star Alliance I would be embarresed that this is an offering in 2025 for their Gold members. Look down the road at LAX, across country at United club in DEN or ORD as examples of what a lounge should look like. Such a massive hub internationally for United and this is what they offer. Staff are great pity about the environs
for a united club, this is so below standards. food is like priority pass standards if anything. while im ok with eating dry cumin chicken, most people pay like $59 for this. what a scam. look at how old the chairs are with holes. also the people are the front aren't very nice or welcoming. They don't even let you check out the food they have downstairs before paying. the workers cleaning the table are working hard though.
Do NOT waste your money — worst lounge I’ve ever seen This place is a scam. For $59, you get dollar-store crackers, a few sad pieces of cheese, wilted lettuce, and flavorless pasta. That’s not food — it’s an insult. The seats are cracked and dirty, the atmosphere is depressing, and the whole lounge feels abandoned and neglected. I wouldn’t stay here again if they paid me. Save yourself the frustration and spend your time literally anywhere else in the airport.
Hands down the worst lounge I have ever been in. United should be embarrassed that this lounge even exists👎. It is a dump. Staff are nice but everything else is dated, stuffy, grungy and crowded. You honestly feel like you are in a 1970’s subway station. Not being inside the lounge out in the terminal is honestly better than being inside the United Club lounge. If you have an American Express Card just head to The Centurion Lounge (which is a 5 star lounge) Do Not waste your time going to the United Club on Concourse G. Once you enter and get scanned in the staff invite you to walk down two flights of stairs. There is an option to take an elevator but this wasn’t offered to anyone I saw check in. Once down in the “lounge” it is exactly like the photos attached to my review except add a musty smell and humid stuffy shoulder to shoulder traveller vibe with no windows or outlooks to anything other than tan and brown dated decor. With this vibe the bar is basic but there - host friendly enough. Food bar is pretty basic and overall vibe is dismal. Look at my photos and the other low reviews. I think some of the higher reviews are getting confused with other lounges. United - this lounge makes you look bad and makes loyal customers of yours - especially for an international lounge….feel like you absolutely don’t care. I walked around this lounge and remembering I had passed a Centurion Lounge took the attached photos and immediately left.
