Opinions de American Express Centurion Lounge San Francisco
This is a temporary location for the Centurion lounge at SFO but I actually like this location better than their last. Food options were ok but the quality of food was very good compared to other lounges… as always. I especially enjoyed their garlic parmesan shrimp with their Alfredo pasta. Their fruit tart that day was pretty good too.
Usually not too crowded, the food fare is above average and the bartenders are generous, as long as you are as well.
Wait was shirt and efficient The food is delicious, no, seriously. From the chicken and asparagus the size of my thumb to the delicious deserts. Service at the bar and other staff were all pleasant even when busy. I want to steal their chef!!
To have a rest and recharge between flights is essential, and the Centurion Lounge provides an exceptional level of utility with great service. I visited this location at 04:00 PM and found the overall experience to be sophisticated and thoroughly impressive. The primary draw here is the atmosphere; the lounge is very clean and features a magnificent ambient aroma that creates an immediate sense of luxury. Unlike more minimalist spaces, this lounge offers several different rooms tailored for resting or dining. For those requiring deep relaxation, the availability of dedicated quiet rooms for sleeping is a thoughtful and rare inclusion. The refreshments are a particular highlight, especially at the bar. The bartenders are remarkably friendly and enthusiastic—though I suspect their enthusiasm is from having unlimited access to free alcohol. If I spent my professional life guarding a fortress of premium spirits, I imagine I would be just as charming and funny. This lively service is matched by a great selection of food with interchangeable menu selections. Furthermore, the restrooms are extremely clean, maintaining a standard that matches the facility. In summary, this is a premier destination. If you seek a high-quality culinary experience and a refined environment, the Centurion Lounge is a magnificent harbor.
Small lounge compared to other Centurion lounges, but service is just as good. Food was good, spaces were clean. Dishes were all promptly picked up, they definitely stay on top of it. They had a waitlist but only took about 15 minutes before getting called in around noon. Bathrooms were clean and the shower was exceptionally clean and nice to use. Good water pressure. Would recommend reserving your shower spot ahead of time, as the slots are 30 mins long max.
I see that they are doing a promo of sorts this month. The eggs and sausage were definitely MUCH higher than standard fare, and VERY Tasty. The Executive chef Will was doing the rounds in the lounge and was extremely engaging, polite, and filled me in on the upcoming food a bit later. While talking with me, a waitress, with her hands full dropped a fork. Without missing a beat, he told her not to worry about it and quickly bent down to pick it up. The mark of a good man is the small things he does without thinking about it. AMEX has a great man here working with them, and the food was great!
Once you get inside the service is great. The waitlist can be long, but you can plan ahead and get in line via the website while waiting at security or to deplane from a connecting flight. There are some healthier food options which is really nice for an airport. Definitely easier to find a seat as a single traveler but the staff do a good job of helping groups find seats together. When I visited it was very clean and well maintained.
This temporary lounge is much smaller. They provide the same food and drink and the menu is equivalent. The good thing is you can sit by the window and actually see the airplane taking off, landing and even docking which is really cool. There is a wait list in the afternoon flight but it only took 10 mins before the seat becomes available. I suggest using amex app is possible to join the wait list so you don't have to scan why qr code at the entrance. It takes time. Don't forget to bring your id especially for those using CLEAR and won't have to present id at security check.
Great lounge, but the location is wrong in google maps.. see photo.. It’s a good spot if you are flying American or United.. international will take you 20-35 minutes. The food and service is better than most airline lounges. There are two conference rooms to take calls, two bars, and friendly staff. Breakfast normally has yogurt, eggs, cooked vegetables, oatmeal, smoothies, avocado toast, berries, meats, waffles, and breads. Juices and expresso drinks or alcohol selections. Tables can fill up, but they likely should open up as more people skip this location due to the terminal 3 construction.
The Amex Lounge at SFO was a fantastic experience from start to finish. It was incredibly clean and well-maintained, which made a great first impression. The space felt open and airy, and it was surprisingly quiet—a perfect retreat from the usual airport chaos. The food was definitely a highlight. The marinated chicken was flavorful and tender, and I paired it with the yakisoba noodles, which were equally delicious. They also had a refreshing pineapple orange infused water that was a great touch. For dessert, I tried both the chocolate chip and red velvet cookies, and both were fresh and tasty—definitely worth mentioning. It wasn’t crowded at all during my visit, and I stayed for about an hour. The lounge is tucked into a quiet corner of the airport, making it a peaceful place to relax before a flight. Overall, a really pleasant and high-quality experience. Highly recommend if you have access!
Spacious lounge with great variety of hot and cold food options. Everyone from the front desk, bartenders, to servers are so nice here. There’s two main seating and dining areas. They have a great selection of fresh fruit including fresh blackberries and blueberries during breakfast. Appreciate the convenient location in Terminal 3 as there’s not many other lounges here.
This is truly a sanctuary in the middle of a really chaotic airport. It is always well staffed, clean and calm, plus a nice selection of buffet items. Lots of alcohol as well as coffee, juice and tea. Bathrooms are well maintained and the quality of people is better in general compare to the other lounges. There is always an outlet near by and one side of the lounge is cooler which I personally prefer. Awesome chocolate chips cookie. Thank you Amex.
Comfortable, clean, well stocked and spacious lounge. Staff are mostly kind and hard working. Food was decent, came around 8:30 PM and there was a short but manageable line to get in. The drinks are great and we had no problem finding a quiet place to rest. Definitely recommend heading here even if you need to walk out of your way.
Great Little lounge and what it offers. this little place be cranking and they handle it very well. Loved the crew and the food.
One of the better Centurion Lounges in the US. I was there during breakfast hours and they had a good selection of fairly healthy options and some good fresh fruit. The location is usually crowded so just be prepared to wait in line if it’s peak hour. The coffee is pretty sub par hence the 4 stars but staff is friendly and WiFi is fast. Bathrooms were clean and smelled nice.
Solid lounge overall. The cocktails are always excellent. Nice wine and beer options, too. One of the bartenders, Diego, puts together a great martini and is a super friendly presence behind the bar. Paper plate/bowls at the buffet are a bit of a bummer, though the T2 lounge space is temporary (if I recall from the old Alaska lounge in its place, the dishwashing infrastructure is what drives the need for paper)
We had a five-hour layover and were pleasantly surprised that the lounge welcomed us since we usually can't access a lounge more than three hours before a flight. As we explored, we noticed some small couches with tall separators, perfect for lounging if you're tired. However, we chose to rest on a regular couch. The food options were quite impressive, and the squash soup was particularly delightful. I added some hot sauce to mine, as I enjoy a bit of spice 😉. The lounge featured two sections with food offerings. The area with regular couches offered a selection including spicy chicken, delicious rosemary potatoes, squash soup, cookies, pizza, and more. Meanwhile, the side with high-top tables offered yakisoba, chicken with a different yet equally delicious flavor, desserts, and more. Overall, we had a great experience. However, I do wish they had sleeping rooms available so we could have caught up on some rest, and it would have been nice to have alcoholic beverages served at our seats instead of having to go to the bar.
This club is good but not as good as other Centurion clubs I’ve been to. It’s smaller and has less food options but the ones that has are good. They have a wine collection that you can sample with the ticket from the bartender, and a lot of open space for relaxing or working between flights. The people at Centurion lounges are usually nicer than the ones working at other lounges and this is definitely true here. I just wish it was a little bit larger. The location is a little weird, I think because there’s some construction here. But it’s actually kind of located behind a TSA space at the end of a long hallway.
💁♀️ The lounge is pretty far from the F+G fork road, so if you depart from F, give it a good 15-20 minutes minimum before boarding 💁♀️ Food is what you see, the chicken is pretty good. 🍻 2 bars -- Beer on tap, bottled beer, wine, probably well drinks. Cocktails at the bar. 🎧 There are rooms and conference tables for those who want to work/meet, I went into the kids room to get some quiet after getting off from a 12+-hour flight of loud white noise
The SFO Centurion lounge is in Terminal 2 domestic side, so it's a long walk from the international gates. \n\nThe place is clean but cramped. The buffet is just mediocre and the WiFi didn't work for…
I went to the temporary lounge at SFO on a Friday evening in terminal 2 and was pleasantly surprised. I didn't have to wait at all. Although the space wasn't too large, I found an empty seat/table to…
Other than going SERIOUSLY CHEAP with the use of PAPER PLATES for the buffet service AND the PAPER BOWLS for the hot soup service; this lounge could have ranked among the top Centurion lounges considering the quality and selection of served buffet foods - certainly, with the exception of the persistent inclusion of the stinky-odor producer "Curry" verity. One missing star is for the cheapness and the other missing star is for the lack of showing friendliness and respectful hospitality. The receptionist did not even make eye contact with this member since 1983
One of the better airport lounges, the food is good, better than most of the restaurants in SFO but it gets pretty crowded. Surpassed in my opinion only by Polaris Lounge (more spacious) and Singapore Airlines First Class lounge in Changi (better food and more spacious, better service)
Not up to pre-COVID quality. Good was ok with limited selections. Clean restrooms. Easy to get to gates for domestic flights. A bit further for international. This lounge set the standard when it opened. Now it's just average. $50 for a guest seems excessive to me.
Definitely a walk, but worth the journey if you have time. Quiet and comfortable, but with some unique restrictions I haven’t encountered at other Centurion lounges. The bartender said he couldn’t use a liquor in any other drink except what is posted on the menu. That same bartender also made everyone wait while he was busy texting behind the bar. That happened each time I went to the bar, which gets inconvenient when there is only one bartender who also refuses to make what you ask for because it’s not on the predefined menu.
This is by far the most disappointing Centurion Lounge I’ve visited. They serve food on paper plates, there are no coffee cups available, and breakfast options are extremely limited—mostly pork-based. Sparkling water is only available at the bar and smells (and tastes) like tap water. The staff are loud and unprofessional, which completely ruins the lounge atmosphere. It’s honestly the first Centurion Lounge I have no desire to come back to.
Rude staff at the front. I have checked in through the app and have. QR code. but upon arrival they don’t accept the code and check in because they all of a sudden decided to have a waitlist. So pick your mind and honor the system. Or don’t charge people $700 annual fees.
I had been issued standby ticket due to foreign passport confirmation. And then had the seats confirmed via text and email for my airline. The Amex lounge receptionist made me go to the end of terminal to get the boarding pass print out - apparently email confirmation wasn't enough for them. Zero compassion or respect shown. Not even an apology for making their customers run circles. Not going to renew.
