Victor's Pizzeria & Restaurant

Best pizza I’ve ever had in SF by FAR. I’ve been to hundreds of similar restaurants and this place was by far one of the best. Great environment, location and super friendly staff! Will definitely be looking forward to going back with my wife!

While staying in Nob Hill area we wanted to eat Italian and Victor’s hit all the marks. I wanted pizza because their pies looked so good. Spouse wanted pasta and ordered beef ravioli. Both ravioli and Victor’s Special pizza were terrific! Staff was also friendly and helpful. To wash it down I ordered a Stella on draft. It was a perfect meal which says a lot coming from someone who cooks his own marinara from scratch.

Amazing!! I cannot say enough about this place,family owned New York style Italian restaurant! The atmosphere is perfect with a friendly staff that makes pizza the true authentic way. Brick oven hand made pizza had a perfect crispy yet soft foldable crust, with the perfect amount of cheese and meat. When I tell you this is what I mean when I say authentic Brick oven pizza, this is what I mean. The booths the red lights and Italian family made us feel so at home! Perfect do not change a thing! Plus they deliver, we will be eating here when in town and ordering for delivery when we can.

I can only give a review for late night. After a certain hour, they only sell slices. We had come back from a show and we're hungry. It was pretty late. Our motel was near. The pizza looked good through the window. So we had to try. About 7 bucks for a cheese slice. It was delicious. The dough was perfect, and some edges had a beautiful burnt spot. Nice and crunchy in spots. Great place for late night munchies. I know there are a lot of pizza places, but this one was the best on polk. Grazie!

Pizza was very good. Service great as well. Could clean the bathroom walls and floors. No tap beer, but several options. Prices are comparable to the area. I would recommend if you're in San Fran.

We are originally from the east coast and, of course, feel like we know pizza. That being said, we were very pleased with our experience. It wasn’t the best pizza we ever ate but it did check all the right boxes. We called ahead and placed our order with no issues. No recorded messages just a person answering the phone and taking orders. When we arrived we were not shocked by the atmosphere-dim lights, tables filled with pizza boxes, a few guys making orders. The pizza was great-the salad was better than most pizza places. Overall, would definitely recommend.

AMAZING! Randomly walked in and so happy that we did. We ordered pizza and chicken parm. The pizza was perfect with an awesome cheese pull! The chicken parm came with a salad and the lovely waiter complimented us with wine for my birthday! It gives chill, night vibes. Very cool!

Went here on Christmas Day with my family as we were hungry and looking for open restaurants around the area. Victor’s Pizzeria accommodated us and we were delighted eating a delicious and freshly made pizza. I’d recommend them to others and would love to go back.

One of THE best pizzas I’ve had in a long time. I’m visiting from the east coast and good pizza is hard to find…at least, according to my standards 😅 My idea of a perfect pizza is a thin, brick oven crispy crust, crispy pepperoni slightly blackened around the edges, and stringy cheese. This pizza checked ALL the boxes! Will definitely be back if I’m in the area again.

Authentic pizza in San Fran! ‘Victor’ oversees the operation famously. I put his name in quotations because when I asked if that’s who he was, it was like I had broken the code of Omertà. After a few awkward beats of silence I left with my slice. …mystery notwithstanding, the sauce/cheese/dough proportion were perfect and satisfied my craving for real pizza. Slices to go, pizza takeout or dine in for the full menu.

Went there on our first night in SFO just for some food and got amazing service and a great pizza! The place looks like nothing special and we almost went past it, but we did not regret to sit down. The service was great and took changed and special wishes without any problem. Amazing pizza !!!

Santiation: 7/10 Atmosphere: 6/10 Pricing: 7/10 Seating: 9/10 Service: 9/10 Salad: 9/10 Pizza: 9/10 I was absolutely blown away by the pizza. It has, in my opinion, one of the best topping ratios (meaning the toppings that are spread on the pizza) that I have seen so far. It was, however, a little too much oil for my liking. I would be aware of the prices here (granted, its SF so I couldn't really blame this place too hard)

The Alfredo sauce doesn’t exist in Italia. I was asking for super cheese sauce but they have no options. For me it’s strange, as for restaurants which are saying that they are Italian. The ravioli was normal, like if I will buy them in Whole Foods frozen and cook at boiling water at home. Nothing special. Good thing that there was non alcoholic beer and the waiter was very kind and professional. The couches and decorations are poor quality

Chicken wing was crispy and good. The dip was also yummy. Clam bake pizza was an unique addition to usual suspect. However, pizza dough was not really Italian style, at least not from Rome or Milan, as per my experience.

After placing the order the food was ready in 10 minutes. The bread was cold, minestrone soup was watery, not thick. The stuffed cheese ravioli, barely had any stuffing, and had toooo much salt. The pesto spaghetti pasta, had no salt at all. Mozarella sticks were good. With this experience, we did not feel like tasting the pasta in burro sauce which we had ordered. The owner was kind enough to take the dish back and not charge for it. Would not try this place again.

The next day, I ended up at Milan Pizza on Geary, and a cheese slice was only $3.50. Pepperoni slice was $4.50. More reasonable and inline with expectations. Maybe Victor’s Pizzeria is trying to make a buck during pandemic. But you don't do that by overcharging customers. I felt gouged. And I definitely won't go back for their an uninspired, overpriced cheese slice.

I would strongly suggest that anyone considering this place reconsider. I believe that grace should be given to everyone and I understand that people have their moments, but Andy—who claims he is the owner and manager—is a rude and disrespectful person. I placed an order, and after it was 30 minutes late, I decided to call the store to check on it. Andy answered the phone, and I began telling him my concern about the late order, he literally cut me off and said, "what do you want?? Why are you calling??" He was upset, loud, and rude. I asked for an update on our order, and he replied, "You should have known there was a Chinese parade going on, it's super busy right now." I didn't know because I'm not from the area and was vacationing for the weekend. He then said he was super busy and that I would have to wait for my order. I told him that was okay since I didn't know about the parade, but I asked how much longer he thought it would be. He said 30 minutes or more, that he didn't know, and that he was dealing with other orders ahead of mine. I told him that was way too long because it had already been an hour. He then said he had no time for this back-and-forth, told me to wait until it was ready, and hung up on me while I was still talking. My husband called back and told him his behavior was unacceptable and asked to speak to the manager or owner. Andy said he was both and that he was too busy to deal with the issue. He told us we would get the order when it comes, that he’s busy, and that it was "too bad" I ordered so late (it was 9:00 PM). My husband asked for a refund and to cancel the order. Andy said it was too late to cancel because I ordered through a third party and that he would not refund the order—but if I didn't want it, he just wouldn't deliver it. Then he hung up on us again! We tried to cancel through DoorDash, but they told us we couldn't because the restaurant said they were already preparing the order and that we needed to contact the restaurant to have them cancel it. We called Andy back and told him what DoorDash said; he responded that he would only refund half the order because of the "hassle" and hung up on us once more. It was literally a conversation of less than a minute, and we had no chance to reply. I could not have ever expected this to happen—ever! The order was $151 and this level of customer service was so awful. It seems so unreal; please reconsider ordering from this place.
