Opinions de Vive La Tarte San Francisco
Didn’t expect too much since we came across it when walking around the block but ended up loving their vanilla latte! It’s super creamy and smooth with perfect vanilla flavor and loved how u can actually see the black vanilla speckles in the drink! Haven’t had a hot latte like this in a while so it was a pleasant surprise :) The interior is super cute as well, good amount of seating and weirdly reminded me a lot of LA in a good way- very different from cafes you often see in sf. They also have a great selection of pastries and food! Def getting their key lime croissant next time, never seen something like it and it looked amazing!
yes, yes yes the coffee is absolutely delicious. And the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. But what knock it out of the park for me is the breakfast tacro - yes, kind of a funny name, but think of it like a breakfast taco on an open croissant Just just just perfect and delicious comfortable seating wonderful place to stop by for a great breakfast
Vive La Tarte Bakery is a wonderful spot that checks all the boxes! Their black coffee is incredible—smooth, bold, and absolutely delicious. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, which adds to the great experience. There are plenty of seating options, both indoors and outdoors, with many tables equipped with outlets—perfect if you need to work or relax. The outdoor seating is especially lovely, allowing you to enjoy the peaceful vibe of the neighborhood. The best part? The bakery offers a wide variety of baked goods to choose from, all fresh and tempting. Whether you’re here for coffee, a pastry, or both, this place is an absolute must-visit!
Amazing cold brew coffee and croissant. The plain croissant is more in the savory side, which is tasty to me. My croissant accidentally dropped and the staff gave me a new one, real Angel in the world 🥰
Quintessential neighborhood coffee shop with elevated European vibes - great natural lighting, lattes, croissant, and breakfast plates. A coffee + croissant in the parklet is the perfect start to a Noe weekend.
This hidden gem of a bakery nestled in Noe Valley is an amazing addition to the neighborhood. My new go-to place to order an Americano and almond croissant to start my Saturday mornings. The croissant was the perfect combination of sweet and crispy, with the almond paste oozing with flavor. Yum....can’t wait to try the breakfast entrees next time. Everything looked so fresh & delicious!
Great morning to-go spot, smooth lattes, and croissant always gets it right with a smile. Perfect start to the day!
Nice little bakery and sandwich shop. Nice interior and clean restrooms. Friendly staff. I had the BLT sandwich. Only 1/2 is shown in the photo. It was big enough to feed two seniors.
Great atmosphere to meet someone for coffee. They only had one option for drip coffee so don't expect much of a coffee experience.
I stopped by for lunch and had the BLT sandwich with chicken and avocado. The sandwich as a whole is massive, can be split for two people, however neither person would be disappointed. Absolutely amazing!
Orange blossom za'atar croissant is the highlight, super fragrant and not too sweet. Did the key lime croissant today too and homg, the filling was so smooth and flavourful, it was a meal
Great spot for pasties and people watching. They use Sight Glass coffee beans, so their drip coffee is lovely. Almond croissant has just the right amount of everything!

Taco croissant it's ok, kind of bland but fun to try something new. BUt the KEY LIME croissant and coconut chocolate croissant ... YES Please!!! Pastries are on point. You have to try it to understand :) amazing!
Wonderful fried egg sandwich and matcha latte. Went back the next day for avocado toast and regular latte. The bread is divine, eggs perfectly cooked. Inside is busy, but comfortable and cozy. Outside tables are quieter if you want to work or read. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Had to wait a few minutes for dine-in and take out but definitely worth it!
We come here several times a week. Lovely and kind staff, amazing toasts. The menu is the best on 24th street. Love having Vive in our neighborhood
Only stopped in for a quick coffee. Their black coffee is delicious and smooth. $4 for a 12 oz. Seems to have good seating for breakfast/lunch.
A nice place in the Castro for a quick and casual meal. We went for brunch, and got the “Breakfast Tacro” which is a breakfast taco, but the shell is a croissant shell. Very unique and tasteful but is only sold on the weekends. Also came with a nice sauce on the side. The only thing I would change would be less red onion. Some bites I found the onions overpowered the other tastes of the bacon, egg, avocado, etc. Regardless, I would go back to this place just for the tacro. The cold brew is also a solid choice. I will definitely be back for more tacro’s and to try a different type of coffee. Total for two tacro’s and one cold brew was about $40
Vive La Tarte seems to be one of the few coffee shops with power outlets. They do not provide free WIFI though if you’re looking to work here. I do highly recommend you try their key lime croissant with thick creamy key lime filling. Superb!
I have been a huge fan of Vive la tarte's SoMa location and it was really sad to see it close. This location on 24th street, though much smaller and less stylish, still serves their incredibly delicious pastries (much smaller selection) with great coffee. My favorite here is the orange blossom zaatar croissant which has a wonderful twist in flavor; and the coconut-chocolate is delicious too! Friendly service and a lovely parklet outside.

Great coffee, delicious in-house bread and other baked goods albeit limited in variety with friendly service. Plenty of places to sit however there is no noise reducing panels to quite down the ambient levels.
Solid customer service. The food needs improvement, though. The BLT was nice, but the chicken salad needs different types of leafy greens. Chicken pieces needed to be crispier...l
Ordered just a single cappuccino and it took 22 minutes and the milk was scalding. Great vibes, and the staff is friends but clearly inexperienced. This place has potential, just wish they could make a good coffee in under 20 minutes

Ordered a cold brew. They didn’t have enough to fill my cup so just watched them put tap water to fill it up. $5 for tap water. Go somewhere else for coffee.
