This place is absolutely delicious!!!
Delicious affordable great hidden gem
Amazing service and food 5/5
Delicious Must try ✅
This place is amazing!!!
Perfect
this is what america is all about
Top notch gem
Great micheladas
great ceviche
Excellent!
Everything was so delicious. They even made me a virgin michelada.
This place is insane! INCREDIBLE ceviche and drinks. They even have a Peruvian style with sweet potato and choclo! The Micheladas are obviously the star of the show for the drinks but the sangria is killer too. I want to try the entire menu and will def be coming back to try.
Ordered on uber eats—got aguachiles verdes and the mango habanero aguachiles. Both are 10/10. Sooooo good
Love the shrimp ceviche; tasty sauce - this place has become my go-to since Padrecito closed down :,) the mozzarella sticks are a random side for ceviche, but they are delicious!
Delicious scallop ceviche, so yummy and fresh. Tuna ceviche also amazing. Crispy tacos we delicious. Prompt and friendly service. Next time we’re getting the Micheladas looked so good!
I've tried their ceviche many times and every single time is amazing experience. So far I've tried ceviche de atun, ceviche de camarones and cóctel de camarones. All ingredients are always very fresh and delicious, totopos(chips) goes well with ceviche/cóctel. I love this place!
The seafood is fresh, the recipes are unique and inventive, which isn't always a compliment, but the flavors work in every dish I've had on the menu (all of them). Walked out of Waterfall exceptionally satisfied every one of the five to ten or so times I've been. Of note: With regards to the experience described by Darryl in the review above: I can say that I had an eerily similar experience to the one his wife is described as having. I was naturally a bit put of, but luckily maintain a loud, filterless east coast demeanor, and therefore spoke with the owner/chef about the interaction. He let me know the woman who handed me the menu wasn't exactly fluent in English and is a bit afraid to have someone try to engage her in English, as she'd be unable to help and doesn't want them to think she's actively disregarding them. Maybe (probably more like certainly) there's better ways someone in the server's position could handle this scenario, I'm just saying that of all the things I am, African-American I clearly am not, and I was treated in the same manner as Darryl's wife, at least insofar as he describes the situation. The owner went on to assure me that no disrespect was meant, and that he's working with his employees to make sure that no one ends up feeling slighted, and so that every customer's first impression is a positive one, regardless of their race, ethnicity, birthplace, whatever it is they like to wear (as long as they are actually wearing something), or even if, God forbid, they are Dodgers fans (which I personally think he should actively disrespect, demean, and eight-six whenever possible). I don't expect my experience to change the way Darryl nor his wife feels about the interaction they experienced, but I do hope that knowing that the actions they described also happened to my pasty white gay jewish butt helps reduce, even if only a little, any feeling that the server's actions were motivated by race, and maybe, just maybe, it persuades them to give Waterfall another chance, cause that ceviche really is BANAGIN.
Had a great lunch here today. All ceviche is made to order and very fresh. Staff was knowledgeable about and accommodating for gluten intolerance.
Great place, food and service!
Amazing food and service!! We tried most of the ceviches and did not disappoint. The mango and strawberry margaritas were also amazing! Jorge is the best!!
Been here a few times, ceviche is super fresh and delicious. Has a an appropriate amount of spice, too!
great food and reasonable prices!
Absolutely delic. Finally a new Mexican spot that really goes above and beyond for great dining nicely presented!
Love their Baja-style fish tacos. The friendly & quick service also make it a great place for workday lunch!
I have lived maybe 20 steps from this place for the past year and only discovered it last week. Best ceviche I’ve had in the US. Really. Wow.
Food is good, but the Micheladas are a standout. Best authentic Micheladas in SF.
Best fish tacos I’ve ever had
Loved the fish and shrimp tacos!
Grabbed 2 Mikes to go, 100% authentic.
Good food and drinks. Super chill vibe, never a crowd.
Absolutely fantastic if you can handle the heat. Had a wonderful Mango Habanero Aquachile. The best I ever had… But the heat is real. This place is a real deal. You’ll see them prepare food and it’s as freas as it gets.
Was there on a Sunday evening only by chance. Restaurant was at least half full and we saw a steady flow of orders being picked up. Some have cited slow service, but this was not our experience even as busy as it was. The food was top-notch. Fresh and tasty. Nicely prepared and presented. Priced fairly. Leonardo F. was especially kind and seemed sincerely interested in feedback about our meals. An excellent place in all respects.
Tacos are amazing, ceviche is super fresh, drinks are great, this place is a gem!
Speedy service great atmosphere and sublime tacos. The sauce with the tortilla chips is also great. V fresh tasting
Best ceviche in SF. Delicious fish tacos. Pay cash to save.
Excellent food. Nice and fresh since they make it as you order. Different from most of the typical Latin seafood, so that’s the idea. Best micheladas I’ve ever tried.
The drinks and the food here are all freshly made. It is some of the most amazing food and margaritas I have ever had! Whenever I'm back in San Francisco again I will definitely make a point to go here for lunch or dinner.
The ceviche here is out of this world. Amazing quality and extremely fresh! The crispy tacos are also super good. Very yum!
I was not prepared for how great this spot is! The bobarita (mango popping boba w/ frozen mango margarita) is a genius drink, and they had a whole great list of cocktails to choose from. Not to mention the food makes for perfect accompaniment—the tuna tostada and mixed ceviche were fantastic. Definitely a spot I'd like to come back to with a group!
INSANELY flavorful and fresh!!!! The salsa served with the chips is out of this world. I ordered potato tacos and they were absolutely divine. Everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked - best tacos I’ve ever had in San Francisco.
Came here with coworkers after class. Worth it, so tasty and fresh. We shared a mixed ceviche and we each had our own tacos and drinks. I had the Baja style fish taco and it was so good. Loved the ceviche the most and enjoyed the white sangria. Really tasty chips as well and fresh guacamole.
Hands down best ceviche and micheladas in SF. There, I said it!
Great and fast service with delicious food! Tasted very fresh too, would return!
David the chef was outstanding. The food and flavors were amazing.
What a great find this place is! It's easy to miss unless you're looking for it, but definitely worth checking it out. Tried 2 different ceviches and the fried fish taco while there, and everything was amazing. Both ceviches had simple but very fresh and delicious ingredients, and were both very different in flavor (we had aguachile verde, and prawn mango). To top it off, the staff is lovely. The lunch specials are great value as well.
Great, freshly fried Baja fish tacos, big pieces of fish. Friend had the shrimp ceviche with big plump pieces of shrimp and mango, really good! The store itself was playing really loud music, maybe for Cinco de Mayo weekend, so that's the only downside - take out is super easy though!
I dont why this place doesn't have more reviews! it is so good!!!
Delicious food with unusual presentation — I was pleasantly surprised
This place has some of the best Mexican ceviche in SF. My roots are in Baja California and I am always craving a good, high quality ceviche. I'm often disappointed when I order ceviche at a restaurant, however, this place will not disappoint! The mango ceviche is amazing! The quality of his ingredients are high. He actually uses fresh shrimps and actually cooks it in lemon/lime. Sounds simple, but restaurants often cut corners. This place does not! Some of the servers do come off as shy and I can see how some may be turned off by this. However, from the now countless times I have been there, they have warmed up more. I am very grateful that this cevicheria opened up! It brings some authentic Mexican flavors that have been lacking in this City. When someone told me about this place, I was skeptical, but now I make an excuse to go to 24th and Portrero just so that I can stop by for some ceviche!
Great food! I had takeout Mango Habanero and guacamole. Delicious flavors all around! Parking is hard so try to walk or take bus here.
Underrated location, excellent spot for clean, fresh shrimp ceviche, drinks, and simple yet crunchy fishy tacos. Reasonably priced as well and convenient for staff from San Francisco general hospital. Wish much success!
I’ve been a few times to this restaurant, it is a solid option if you are looking for freshly prepared ceviche. They throw freshly cut ingredients which makes a big difference. Tacos are very tasty and good size so I recommend those, basically all menu is good. The drinks are also well crafted and strong so perfect combo. Service of course is great , it is a not so large place so you’ll get served quick enough. Enjoy, see you soon guys.
Absolutely delicious! It’s a combination of delicious flavors in every bite! Service was excellent, and staff made wonderful recommendations, based on our preferences. Food was fresh and served beautifully!
We stumbled upon this incredible gem a couple of years ago and have since made it our go-to spot. The flavors here are simply unparalleled in San Francisco—fresh, authentic, and bursting with Caribbean flavors. They offer a wide variety of options, but we highly recommend trying the out favorite traditional ceviche, the box lunch special, and the tostada mix ceviche—they’re all simply divine. We definitely love and always adding calamari, chicken wings, guacamole, their sandwiches are all absolutely amazing. And let’s not forget about their MICHELADAS!!!!! They’re the best in town. The ambiance is cool and inviting, and the vibe is always great. Thanks, Dolores Waterfall, for always providing such a great experience. :)
We loved the Micheladas for us are the best we have tried, we ordered Coconut ceviche but it was not that good, It was more spicy than anything else, you couldn’t feel the flavors of the rest of the ingredients. Service was nice but you have to be the one standing or waving your hand for them to see if you need anything else. I would definitely come back for the Micheladas.
The best ceviche I've ever had. I need to go back and try all of them! Super fresh ingredients, and the flavor felt like magic in my mouth 🤤
One wanders into countless eateries in search of something that might pass as seafood and emerges, more often than not, with the faint suspicion that Poseidon himself has filed a grievance with the management. Not so here. On a Friday, with time to squander and a hunger to appease, I found myself in this modest cevichería — an establishment that, unlike so many, knows precisely what it is about. The staff were still fussing over their final arrangements: a server restoring tables to a military neatness, while behind the counter a man whose craft deserved the title of “ceviche master” assembled my tostada with a surgeon’s confidence and a poet’s precision. What arrived was not mere food but a brief holiday for the palate — sharp, fresh, mercilessly honest. Each ingredient announced itself distinctly, yet together they formed a harmonious conspiracy of flavor, tangy without being sour, sweet without being cloying. There was, too, the civilized pleasure of watching the dish take form before my eyes while engaging in the small but necessary art of conversation. And let it be said without embarrassment: seafood is at its most truthful when accompanied by beer, and I availed myself accordingly. In sum: a revelation at midday, and one that compels me to return by night, when beer can properly become a companion rather than a side note, and when the sea — or its ambassador behind the counter — can once again remind me why one eats in the first place.
Wow! This place is amazing! The staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is so good! Get some ceviche and micheladas here, you won't be disappointed. As a Mexican who loves seafood, this place is legit!
A friend told me about DoloresWaterfall Michelada and I've now ordered three times. I've tried all the varities of cerviche, Fried Shrimp Taco and both battered Shrimp and Fsh tacos. The food was prepared fresh, vibrant colors and great flavors. The staff are really nice and into their work. Highly recommend.
What A GEM! cute little spot. Probably the best michelada I've ever had. All the dishes were excellent! Shrimp tacos were so good had to take togo for my wife. Scallop ceviche was my favorite 👌🏽 Definitely will be back.
the sauce they give you with the complimentary tortilla chips??? BOMB so good thick and spicy. would come again just for that. everything was priced well, their ceviche was delicious.
Came here on a whim one day and it quickly became my favorite lunch spot, generous specials run from 12-4pm. Always a fun vibe. Greasy spoon type atmosphere and hospitality without the grease. Simple, healthy, high quality food made right in front of you. Complementary chips and chipotle mayo are perfect for the wait and as a ceviche vessel. Well worth a visit.
Really nice, fancily plated ceviche. The fish was delicious and the bowl was flavorful and fresh. I also liked that there were chips on the table to use as an eating utensil.
Amazing cevicheria! I had the wonderful mixed ceviche with fish and shrimp accompanied by their house chipotle mayo and tortilla with a lovely mango margarita! That was a meal for me. Delicious! Simple, elegant and homey decor all at once. They have comfy round club chairs around a marble table in the front right window, a short wooden tabletop for two on the left, three tall 4 four tops and a single long family style table in the center. Nice neighborhood gem good for family, a date or hang with friends. Friendly Spanish forward service, but a couple of the service staff are on hand to translate when/if needed. No problemo. We ordered at the counter and they served us. I’ll definitely be back. Worth the drive from the East Bay.
absolutely obsessed with this place! super cute reminded me of cabo with fun music, lights, & murals! complimentary chips + dip, ceviche w/ mango/pineapple/octopus/shrimp, & crunchy shrimp tacos were so bomb! planning to be back several times & not to mention the staff were so friendly! highly recommend!
Fantastic food and service!! I was craving fresh ceviches and this place definitely did not disappoint. I would highly recommend this location to anyone. Fresh food and great drinks as well.

Their fish tacos are the 💣. I wish they would fry up their own tortillas chips.
Not a ton of aguachile spots in SF that I know of so Waterfall does satisfy the craving, although I think spots in Oakland are much better. I was a bit disappointed at how the slow the service was and they forgot parts of our orders. The food itself was alright but I felt the shrimp wasn’t as good quality or as big as other places I’ve had. The aguachile was more heavy on the veggie front too. Restaurant itself was cute, in a good location and had good vibes, but might stick to Oakland to satisfy that craving in the future.
This place is a little overrated, some things are good, some are not. So the cons: -The tortillas and chips are pretty weak. If you use cheap gmo Guerrero tortillas, it's an automatic loss of a point for me. You have la Palma tortillas around the corner, La Finca and Mi Rancho close by. So, for what they charge for tacos, they should be handmade, but good quality at minimum. They can work on the chips, too. -Fish tacos were alright. Nothing memorable, but a nice portion. Better tortillas and more veggies, please. -They dont have a happy hour. While everyone has happy hours, they don't, so I'd rather go elsewhere during these times. -Many things are overpriced. $3.50 for oysters. Come one, this is not a waterfront location. -Service was ok, nice people but understaffed. The host was my server, my bar tender, and my chef. Didn't check on me the entire meal and only one other other table ordering food. Only one other guy in the back washing dishes. The pros: -Great Micheladas! Super solid! 👌🏽 -Nice people My family is coastal Pacific Mexican, so my standards are high. I wouldn't call this an authentic experience, but it is as close as it gets in the mission. This place is newish, so it still needs a little work. The demand is there, and I wish them the best. I'll come again and try other things from their menu.

Toothpick in burrito
Size portion, not what I expected. Wait, time for the food was longer than expected. I'm glad I came to check it out, but I'm not sure if I'd come back.
Cevicheria across from the General Hospital. I got served chips and a Chipotle Aioli while I waited. On the table you get a tray with three different flavors of el Rey chiltepin brand. A small bowl of a real good salsa macha, a variation of Chinese chili crisp made with dried chilies with assorted nuts including pumpkin seeds chop an then fried in oil. The shrimp tacos came on a fried tortilla with melted cheese a slice of avocado and red chili de árbol sauce, the scallops on the scallop ceviche were still frozen in the center, the presentation was nice it came with slices red onions, radish, cilantro and marinated with a good amount of lime juice.

Not sure if it was just a busy misfortune when I visited, but I was unimpressed. FYI, I went with people who have been here before, and they said it wasn’t like this on their previous visits. They were busy and likely short staffed. One waiter for the entire restaurant, which was full. He was so busy it took him about 20 minutes to clean a table and sit the next party. We waited 45-60 minutes to be seated. It took him 20 minutes to take our order. We waited 30 minutes for the Micheladas to come out, and right before he was going to serve them he said “they made them wrong. You want them or you want to wait another 30 minutes to remake them for you?I got many orders ahead of yours if you want them to remake it” At that point, comp them. Don’t tell us “take it or leave it,” essentially. I get he was overwhelmed, but do the right thing. We took it. And then we ended up leaving it because the shrimp was still raw. I’d seen one of the cooks run to the freezer and come back with frozen shrimp. That’s what was used for it ceviche. I guess it’s proof they make it to order! But maybe have some portions already marinating for a few minutes? Make some a little ahead? After two hours of waiting we got this raw Ceviche. My fiance is Mexican and he agreed, he’s never eaten ceviche that raw before. The micheladas came out not so cold too. So just know, avoid when they’re busy. Otherwise I hear they’re good when they’re not busy. I doubt I’ll be back to confirm that. Also, they have fake tequila, the one you can serve at places that can’t serve hard liquor. So if you’re not going for a michelada or a beer then you may consider other venues. Their tacos and fish and chips were okay. I’d order them again if I decided to try the place again.
Not authentic Mexican seafood: Serves ceviche but has no tostadas, salsa, lime or avocado. Instead they will serve you tostitos and a mayonnaise based dip. Very disappointing. Service took for ever. Overpriced, and we had to check our bill since we got charged extra.
The food is great. Trouble is, my office has ordered from them twice now, and the first time they forgot the chips [ate the ceviche with a spoon], the second time they forgot the guacamole. My guys work really, really hard, and it's tough telling my crew lunch is on the house, it's Taco Tuesdays, and someone still winds up hungry. We ordered from them again because the tacos are really that good, but ffs, please include the whole order. We all know doordash is no help, calling them is a fool's errand. Sorry for the mediocre review, but it's twice in a row now.
Unfortunately this was a very bad experience. The food was not bad however the service was so terrible it outweighed anything positive review i had about the food. Not only was the restaurant freezing, it was only me and my friend as customers. It took 10 mins for the waiter to acknowledge us. We asked if the tacos and civeche could be made without onions and he assured us that was no problem, because my friend was severely allergic. When the plates arrived my friends was packed with onions. When we called the waiter , he replied" oh yes there are onions" and walked away. He didn't apologize or anything. When the bill came we had to ask him to remove the items. So annoying especially because we were the only customers. 🙄

Cancelled my order.
Food is disgusting and hardly cooked, servings are tiny and they will 100% forget part of your order up. I'm sure they just let it sit until it's cold and there are hairs in my food. Stay far away from this scam of a restaraunt.
I don't know if they don't like African-Americans here at this place my wife loves Ceviche she went in and was not even acknowledged and when the lady behind the counter came to the counter what she was she just pushed the menu towards my wife and never said anything hey give me a minute can I help you nothing so this is a place we won't be revisiting
Should’ve left when they hit me with store bought chips and sriracha mayo. Ceviche had less flavor than tap water, coctel was basically shrimp in Kool-Aid, and the shrimp were cooked harder than my ex’s heart. Drinks took 40 minutes, bartender must’ve been aging them in oak barrels. Service? Trash. And the dusty fan had more seasoning than the food. Whole spot was a comedy show, but nobody laughed.
The service was so bad, we didn't even get to try the food. Sat down and waited so long, the staff had nothing but attitude, the bathroom was "out of order" and we only got served a dirty disgusting menu to look at. I have to idea what the hype is about this place, but will obviously not find out
