this is a korean place, not a japanese place, and its REALLY good. looks like some shitty greasy asian type place from the outside- but the food was very good quality, well cooked, and not heavy or greasy at all! yummy ( we got bi bim bop and wonton soup )

K

Such a great lunch spot!!! We had Korean BBQ Sandwiches and a Chicken Dunburi bowl. Both were so delicious and were cooked pretty fast. The two ladies working there were very nice. Little bit busy for lunch, but not packed, and the outdoor patio looked like it would be a great spot to chill and catch up with friends at.

I have always passed by and I finally stopped by and ordered the Kim Chee fried rice and Korean BBQ sandwich and they were very good and had a lot of flavor. I will be back again soon to get more food. I stopped by to get some food for myself and my sons. The food is very good too!

Really good hole in the wall that everyone should try once, parking permitting. Prices are decent, and the woman behind the counter is an absolute sweetheart. Always smiling, always tucking little deserts in your bag without charging for them. The food is really well made, always the right temperature, and always done in a timely manner. Love this place, will def be coming back.

The Korean food is delicious. Fried egg breakfast sandwich is my favorite. Very affordable. Large coffee+toasted bagel w/ cream cheese+blueberry muffin=less than 7 bucks. The family that runs this restaurant are such sweet people and they make all the food with ❤️

It has been a while since I dine in places like this ;), cold weather and crave for noodles took us here and we loved it. The quality and taste was so good I was not surprised that it was busy there. Will definitely try the breakfast next

G

This place is great! They have a diverse selection of Japanese food to American food. They are only open for breakfast and lunch. The prices are responsible and you get healthy portions! I have not eaten off the breakfast menu yet. I still have a lot of the Lunch menu to work through, so far everything has been great. It is a little cramped inside but it has a great and friendly vibe.

P

Loved their Korean bbq. Well made. Good portions at great prices. Though passed by many times, upon recommendation from SF Chronicle food critic Ho, inspired to order. Definitely a keeper.

T

Had breakfast here. The lady who helped me, checked up on me often and was very attentive. They were busy and they serve breakfast till 11. The prices for their breakfast was like Denny's which is a plus. Definitely coming back if my work is nearby again. They have indoor dining with real plates and silverware. Good ol American Asian Diner

Just a small simple family run, reasonably priced restaurant with tasty food and friendly service in a vintage stand alone hut. It was the perfect place for a quiet solo breakfast after my MRI.

I just had the Korean beef bulgogi lunch special and it was great. It took ten minutes to prepare, came with generous portions, and had a variety that made the lunch feel complete. I would definitely come again and try the other items on the menu.

L

Quick, convenient, mom-and-pop, hole-in-the-wall place that has basic dishes that hit the spot. The Friday special Tonkatsu Sandwich is a favorite among my coworkers, with one saying it's even better than the one from the ramen restaurant nearby. I'm happy with the udon, kimchi fried rice, and bibimbap. If you're looking for something that has no frills and want a quick filling meal, this is it.

T
Teck Jon Lim

Spicy pork was delicious. The rice actually stood out. Each grain was fluffy and cooked perfectly. The two ladies were generous and kind.

J

This place is probably one of the most economical and delicious spots to dine at! I was introduced to Bimbimbob here and have been in love ever since! Can’t go wrong here. And the bonus is that the owners are great people!

M

Their veggie burger is the best deal in the neighborhood. They have a small outdoor seating area to take advantage of sunny days in Potrero Hill.

Good place to eat when you have to go to a UC BOR meeting at UCSF. Good food, good price, good coffee, easy to park nearby. Nice people. Mixture of Korean and American food, with some veg/healthy options.

D

Amazing customer service! Great food! Great prices! You can tell the owner really loves his business and his customers. Him and his wife make the best lunch. You should try their double bacon cheese burger. It's an American classic done just right. And when you're done with that try some of the Korean BBQ. So good!

V

Homey hole-in-the-wall with the nicest people with the purest souls. I'm only visiting, but if I lived here, I'd be getting coffee, or breakfast sandwiches, or kimchi fried rice here multiple days a week!

I work nearby and visit regularly. They offer decent and fast classic diner food, but also a set of Korean dishes. The owner / manager is a nice Korean woman who is always friendly, gives lots of bonus snacks to regulars, and service is pretty fast. Lately I've been getting the bibimbap and 제육덥밥 (pork fried rice), but a standard burger and fries is good too.

A

Neighborhood gem. Too bad it's closed on the weekends and for dinner. Great classic breakfast. Had the Friday special chicken katsu sandwich... Phenomenal... Will be back to get it again for sure. Super nice people too. Kamsamnidah.

As a born n raised S.Korean, I can assure you this place serves a legit Korean dish. It was my first time and chose spicy pork (w. rice n salad). The taste was epic and was just the same which I used to have back in Korea and regretted not trying this place earlier! Will definitely visit this place again soon and try different things. Can’t wait!

I sometimes work at Oracle Park so was looking for something close by. I went there and was pleasantly surprised by how nice this place is. I ordered the beef buglogi and it was really good. There's free parking, but they close at 3:30 pm. Prices are reasonable. Give it a try, menu is vast. Lot's of things to try.

Looking for a good, down to earth meal near the Design District or Chase Center and you don't want to break the bank? Wolf's is the place for you! Hearty, tasty breakfasts. Cheeseburger on a toasted sesame seed bun. Some mayo. Some lettuce and tomato. Side of fries. That’s a burger. It’s not The Melt, or McDonald’s. Not In-n-Out. It’s not a burger at STK. It’s not even the best burger in SF. It’s just a classic flavor that hits the spot. You don’t have to fly out here to try this, but if you’re in the neighborhood you can’t go wrong eating here.

No-frills early-open all-day sandwich shop with a big menu, friendly service and fair prices. The lady at the store was friendly and attentive, good experience overall. I had the breakfast sandwich with egg, sausage and cheese (also had the version with two eggs instead of cheese). It would have been perfect if the toasts were actually toasted. Apart from the sloppy toasts, I absolutely enjoyed it. Eggs are freshly cooked and the sandwich is well flavored, a bit on the heavy side but that's exactly how I liked it. I'm giving it 5 stars because they open so early every day and the prices are really fair. They cook and serve food with heart and soul, rather than trying to make a fortune; and for that I would come back again and again.

Wolfs Lunch Cafe should be on your list for breakfast or lunch when visiting the lower area of Potereo Hill or Goat Hill. The menu prices average $12.00 and under $20.00. The menu food choices are Asian and Americana. I enjoyed the quiet atmosphere as well as the simple spacious dining room. I ordered an egg and bacon sandwich when visiting and I was satisfied. My partner ordered Chicken Katsu and the serving was huge. The Chicken Katsu was delicious, crispy, and plentiful. I enjoyed my visit and will be returning.

I wasn't ready for as sporty of a sports bar as I should have been - there were many games going on many different screens. I'm not going to dock points for that though, since it's kind of this place's thing. I will dock points for the food, however.

Tasty Korean and Japanese dishes, to go along with breakfast (eggs, bacon, etc.) and sandwiches (burgers, etc). You order at a counter wait for them to call your number... there's some seating but not much ambiance. Not especially fast for a take-out place either.

The food here is great considering the price. The lovely Korean family keeps the place very clean and greet people with a smile. I would recommend that you try the chicken katsu. Or the california rolls!

A
Alaina Zulli

Good solid lunch place. It's old fashioned, with the tuna salad sandwiches you'd expect, but also run by Asians, so they have Japanese curry. The dining area is uninviting, but they have a few nice tables outside. Service is unfailingly prompt and friendly.

Found this place on my way back to work early in the morning. Very friendly, service was good, and breakfast at a reasonable price for San Francisco. I would recommend this place if you like a throwback diner experience. Nothing fancy at all. The unexpected bonus they give you with your check was a surprise.

Their burger is pretty good. Nothing crazy but its just a simple burger with fries. Their bibimbap and other korean foods are really good. The location is a bit random and in the middle of no where however its right next to my school to i make frequent trips there. A plus is that they sell cigarettes and there are no other cigarette sellers for miles in every direction in this area.

For a kind of random place location wise, this place is surprisingly cute and great. Good: - Nice service - the woman at the front was so sweet to us - Loved the kimchi fried rice, some of the best I've had - Prices are reasonable - not horrible but also higher than a fast food place Bad: - Not a lot of seating and it feels a little bit dirtier on the inside - Outdoor seating is beautiful Overall would come back to try something else!

Homey. Got bulgogi, a tad juicy. Rice was perfect. Kimchi not spicy. $17. They included Madeleine dessert. Nice touch. Plenty parking. Eat inside or in the sun. Hamburger and fries did look good.

Really pleasant. We had just some sandwiches. They were simple but well made. The staff was nice, a simple place but really welcoming. A nice little island of easy going people in a city too full of complicated restaurants, eateries....

Decent breakfast. I wish they had a breakfast burrito. The coffee cups are cheap as can be, the lids don't stay on.

Awesome location, regrettably the food is not so good. Great menu choices, but quality is lacking. Burnt meat, flavourless and the service at best is not something to boast over. Only go here if you dont want to walk a little further for a better place

Okay place nothing special or cheap. You can probably get some better food down the street in the mission. Probably good choice for a cheap breakfast.

Wolfe's is your typical hamburger/deli/teriyaki/donuts place but I have to say that all the food I've ever had here is pretty dang delicious! I frequent this small spot on lunch some days and the owners are pretty friendly. They have a woman in the back making all of the food usually and she's quick. The food is always hot and tastes fresh so no complaints from me. The Chicken Udon Soup is my personal favorite - cheap food with no lack in quality.

Small little Corner Restaurant, opens 6am till 6 pm I very been 3 times Burger and fries were a good choice Staek and eggs also Beef teriyaki could have been better. But still a decent portioned plate.

Food is ok, but when you only have a 30 minute lunch break and they take 28 minutes to bring your meal out and everyone else after you gets their food first is bs!

There are better options in the area than this. Tables are dirty, flies on the inside, generally dirty. The Korean food they served looked decent. I wouldn't come back again.

A local Asian fusion /sandwich lunch spot. Very casual. Hours are not as listed - basically close and open when they want, especially on weekends (only open on Saturdays). Food is way below average, and cheap. Fine if you're in a hurry and in the area. There are better options a or 2 block away. Wouldn't recommend.

Nice local place. Sweet lady at the counter. Have been wanting to try this place for some time. I had eggs potatoes and beef patty. I only ate about half and my stomach started to squirm. I have a garbage disposal gut and this basic breakfast hurts :-(
