My cousins and I did a double date. We wanted to do something fun during the day, so we decided to do karaoke. Parking: Good luck finding a spot lol. This spot is located in downtown. You can get lucky with free street parking. After driving around, we parked in a parking lot behind Patisserie. Make sure you read the warning signs. Ambiance/Environment: It doesn't look like much outside, but they have a large space inside! There's plenty of seating for those who want to study and simply hangout. They have all their fun activities and games on the back right side. I will say they do need to update their furniture bc majority of them are ripped, old, and warned out. Service: Jade was the cashier that assisted us. She went over the menu with us bc it was a bit all over the place. She gave us really good recommendations. Throughput didn't take long at all. Our karaoke room was actually ready for us right after ordering, and our food & drinks quickly came afterwards. Drinks, foods, & activities: 1) Karaoke - We went with the Galaxy room. It was the perfect size for the 4 of us. The tablet was really easy to navigate through. We were able to find all the songs we wanted. There were 2 mics in the room. We noticed one mic was a bit louder than the other, but both worked. 2) Medium Snack Sampler - This came with choices of 3 meats and 3 fries. We got the gyoza, popcorn chicken, and chicken wings as our meats. We also got the elote fries, Cajun fries, and BBQ fries. Our favorites were the popcorn chicken and BBQ fries! The seasoning and flavors hit! The chicken wings and gyozas tasted as expected; make sure to dip for more flavor! My absolute favorite were the elote fries! The Cajun fries were very light, so we thought it could use a bit more seasoning. 3) Milk Tea Tower - This 88 oz tower was a must! We had the option of choosing one milk or fruit tea. We decided to go with the Nom Nom Green Milk Tea with honey boba and lychee jelly as our toppings. This tasted absolutely delicious! They gave us a generous amount of toppings! 4) Ping Pong - After singing our hearts out, we wanted to play a friendly competition. The choices were between pole or ping pong, and we decided to go with ping pong. We were given 4 paddles and 1 ball. Pricing: Prices were worth it $$. We left satisfied and fulfilled! The food was good and the activities were fun!
This place is more than just a boba spot! They have free Wi-Fi, karaoke, ping pong, and pool tables, etc in the fun house too. I rarely find place like this in San Gabriel and there were a lot of people when we went. The prices are super affordable. They still serve good boba and snacks, like other locations of factory tea bar but this place has a lot of extras. Friendly servers too!
A boba cafe with plenty of tables and seating, 5 Karaoke rooms AND games reminiscent of Dave & Buster’s?! I just found my new spot at Factory Tea Bar (in San Gabriel in the SGV) to post up and “work from home”🙌🏼 My friends and I experienced the appropriately themed Malibu room (for the curious, other rooms are: Sunset, Glam, Galaxy, & Boba) and while some sang their hearts out, I went straight for that ✨Passion Fruit Green Tea Boba Tower with all the toppings✨ Their dessert and finger food options were aplenty as well!
For those who want to find hang out place, well for me, here is one of the best hang out place called "Factory Tea Bar". They have outside place for sitting, inside place kinda unique like factory, good place for take photos, also outside and cross the street have great place for take photos too, its called Mission San Gabriel. Mission San Gabriel is the oldest structure of its kind south of Monterey. Super place for hang out and relax with your friends, with their drinks and snack such as popcorn chicken, waffles, etc and the recommended drinks for those who loves the coffee, try vietnamness ice coffe or who loves bobba they got brown sugar with bobba too. Let's hang out now!
Great idea for date night or a group get together! Loved their boba tower and will try boba bottle service next. We also enjoyed the variety of different snacks! This place is really a one stop shop for a fun afternoon or evening - snacks, boba, arcade, karaoke, and even a little corner to buy cute things! Lots of seating indoors but there are also 2 outdoor patios with plenty of seating and shade.
Been years since I've been here. Looks like they redid the menu and the interior since my last visit. Got the soaring phoenix milk tea with boba. Didn't adjust my sweetness level so I assume it's at 100%. I'd say it's a little bit unsweet (and I'm usually the person who doesn't like super sweet boba drinks). It's still good but next time I'll do 125% sweetness if I can.
update!: as of 2025, it seems this location is semi-abandoned / under renovation for the *entire* summer, now entering school season.., with the strange choice of ultra-bright white lights, a sofas 'n chairs thrown around, and a fake library, surely there could've been some improvement within 3 months.. :/ The Westminster location is complete, far more cozy, with dim hanging lights, doors that stay closed, and good management. The SGV just never stops to fail. :/ far better drinks and atmosphere than anything south of here (Monterey Park, El Monte, Rosemead). Also has an arcade!.., though just rhythm games, ‘n a few pool tables (/ping pong?) tables. A tea shop / arcade is kinda my dream.. It’s quite surprising that the SGV’s tea shops all suck, except this one. The Westminster location has a much better atmosphere tho..
Visited this place for the first time and I loved their drinks; they're food was good. I ordered ahead for pickup and they had it partially ready to go by the time I arrived. They treated me with great customer service while I waited; thanking me for my patience. I'll be back soon for more drinks!
Factory Tea Bar is a boba tea place in SGValley. They have one other location on S. Figueroa st in DTLA. Interior atmosphere was very chill and relaxing. Moreover, it’s very spacious, neat and organized and a small outdoor patio is available. They have wide selection of boba tea and food snacks. Since it’s super bowl Sunday, I ordered their Lychee green tea with lychee jelly and Guava green tea with boba pearl. It was perfectly made to satisfy my palate. Jelly and boba pearl were soft, chewy and not too sweet. Furthermore, they provided exemplary service with minimal wait time. Staff was friendly, professional and followed health protocol. Prices were fair. Free wifi available. Plenty of Parking. Overall, I highly recommend this tea bar and will definitely come back again.
Their drinks are pretty decent but the atmosphere is pretty dim. I hope they change out the furniture inside. It is pretty old and outdated with a smell to them. But other than the outdated furniture and dimly lit atmosphere, their staff and selections of drinks are up to par. I do recommend this place for first-timers and boba lovers.
This place can have very good drinks. I say may because this place is popular and when they have a large crowd they get a lot of orders. My go-to drinks are the Jack and Rose and flirting with Taro. On the days they are busy I do find my drinks lacking in the flavor department and last night my Jack and Rose was missing the point liquid which I assume is what gives it its floral taste. Other than that this place is a great place to come to and have drinks and chill. They have claw machines and like all machines, it's chance-based. Beware of the claw machine with the eeveelutions the claw is way smaller than the actual price so it is nearly impossible to win.
I wish it was easier to get cash for tokens. You have to pay extra to give the money. Ridiculous. Some of the claw machines are winnable via skill, others I watched the whole night and not a single person won. The claws are way too weak on the bigger claw machines and it doesn't matter how many times you try, it basically let's go. Staff basically ignores you. But it is otherwise an awesome place to go with good food and drinks and great atmosphere.
Update after 3 years: I still think the drinks are okay. It's really sweet...get 25% if you usually get it 50% at other places. There was a remodel so it's larger now with an arcade area. It's nice for socializing. Old review: It was alright. A Good place to work though. The drinks are decent.
How far the great fall 😭🪳 Anyone who is wondering why they’re not open right now, it’s because their public health permit is temporarily suspended for ROACHES! This was the spot like a decade ago when I was a kid. A bunch of other boba spots crowded the neighborhood which drove down demand, sure, but I figured the arcade/karaoke pivot worked well enough. So why didn’t staff keep cleanliness up? An embarrassment to my nostalgia. ‼️ Mr Tran, I’ll delete this once the DPH deems your restaurant safe again but not a second sooner ‼️
Unfortunately the premium oolong tea was severely watered down and had no flavor. My bf had the mango fruit tea and it was not the best. Lychee jelly didn’t even have flavor as well. Lots of fun stuff to do at the arcade area but cafe needs improvement.
I come to Factory Tea Bar regularly, usually one to three times a week, but my experience today at the Where the Wind Blooms event was very disappointing because of how rude the event staff were. One of the girls working near the entrance, a shorter staff member, had a terrible attitude and was extremely unprofessional. There were no signs anywhere in the parking lot or entrance indicating that a wristband was required just to walk in and order. As my partner and I walked inside, this staff member literally chased us in yelling “You cannot come in here without a wristband, don’t come in here without one.” The way she said it was aggressive and unnecessary, and definitely not how customers should be treated. It honestly made me want to leave right then. We stepped outside to figure things out and waited at a booth near the entrance. Before we could even ask a question, another staff member cut us off with “You need a wristband.” Again, there was no explanation until we had to specifically ask where to get one. The only friendly person we encountered was the girl actually handing out the wristbands, who was polite and helpful. After all of this, we ordered our drinks and left in less than ten minutes. The drinks were fine, but the event employees ruined the experience before it even began. I understand that the event staff might not be directly employed by Factory Tea Bar, but if you are going to host pop-up events, please be mindful of who is hired to represent your business. Staff should learn how to communicate respectfully instead of yelling at customers. I genuinely enjoy Factory Tea Bar, but this experience left a very bad impression.
