We have made sure to eat here every time we come to the area. We brought two different couple here over 2 weeks and everyone still raves about how delicious our meals were.

Quiet atmosphere, great food and service! Their meat empanadas are best I’ve ever had, as well as the chimichurri, freshly made and delicious. We also tried the mollejas, rib eye and chorizo, we went twice while visiting Cabo.

The meats are to die for, the staff is beyond friendly, the venue is lovely

Dear god! The chiefs recommended steak was the best I have had, in forever! They recommended I split it, which I did, but it was so good I would've eaten the whole 25oz on my own. Any real steak lover needs to come here!!!!

We are here last night and LOVED it! Great service, unbelievable food. I don’t usually get excited about beef, but the slow roasted beef rib was absolutely fantastic, as was the brick oven focaccia bread and chimichurri sauce was second to none. Go here tonight!!!

Espectacular todo. Comimos el chorizo y la provoleta de entrada, y de platos principales ojo de bife y vacío con ensalada/puré y agregamos espinacas a la crema (me olvidé de sacarle foto pero era un manjar). Realmente muy bueno, era la cuota de carne que necesitábamos, al punto que pedimos (y eso que somos argentinos, exigentes con los asados). El lugar no tiene tantas reviews porque no tiene mucha antigüedad. Sin duda volveremos!!!

Last night's dinner was fantastic! We shared the Rib Eye and the Beef Rib (so we could experience different preparations)...both were delicious. The salad was fresh and the homemade dressing was excellent. The focacia bread and chimichurri made this bread-girl very happy. Our server Juan was great, in fact the owner and all of the staff we met were friendly and engaging. If you want to beef load after a week of working out, this is your place!!!

Me encanta el lugar, muy rico todo lo que he probado, en especial los cortes, les recomiendo el mojito de kiwi, me encanto!!! Aunque vivo en san lucas prefiero venir al de San José ya que es mas tranquilo el ambiente.

Increíble lo ame. Toda la experiencia estuvo fenomenal . El lugar tiene ese toque de casa antigua que en verdad es muy agradable . Los platillos sin importar cuál estaban justo en el punto como deberían, porciones de muy buen tamaño y con un sabor fenomenal, las costillas y el vacío fueron los sobresalientes y las bebidas a base de mezcal están deliciosas, el carajillo que tienen está muy bueno y sus postres están para chuparse los dedos. Sin duda se ha vuelto en uno de mis favoritos .

Terrific experience. Everything we ordered was super tasty and for a reasonable price. The bread and chimichurri was excellent. We tried spinach and blue cheese throughly enjoyed both of them. We also ordered a tomahawk steak, which was prepared perfectly. It was very flavorful and a generous portion. Owner Brian and his team also provide top notch service. I will be back next time I am in the area.

My boyfriend and I came here a couple nights ago and really loved our experience. The servers were attentive and everything was absolutely delicious! The courtyard is very intimate and beautiful. We got the ribeye and the shrimp & mashed potatoes with a side of grilled veggies and an onion soup to share. Will absolutely come back if we find ourselves in San Jose again. :)

Celebrated a birthday here. Got the rib, flank steak, chorizo, grilled veggies. Everything was amazing, very flavourful, the ever so slightly charred bits on the steak tasted so awesome and smokey. The wine was great too! Grilled veggies are a sleeper, do not skip! Be careful of the grilled jalapeño, instant sweat. Overall amazing food and service, do not miss. Compared to other restaurants in the area, this one was so much better, the price was also extremely reasonable. Don’t fall for some of the tourist traps in the area, and just come here.

We stopped by for an early dinner after walking around downtown San Jose. The restaurant has large, open windows and a courtyard in the middle. Sitting inside next one of the large open windows was the perfect vantage point to soak up San Jose’s scenic, artsy vibe and slower pace. It enhanced the relaxed and cozy atmosphere of Chamuyo. The staff is welcoming and the food is delicious. If you’re in the San Jose del Cabo area, this is a great place to stop. Try a Mezcalita while you’re there. Highly recommend.
