My wife likes to go out to Black Angus for her Birthday. We went and they were not busy at the time. The waitress was great,got our order going right away and food came out fast and hot. The waitress was very pleasant and got everything perfect. Just wish we still had Black Angus closer to our house. Back again after 3-4 other times. This time all prices seem higher by adding $5 /$6 to almost all steaks or chicken/rib dish. Ordered New York steaks,very tasty. Still good size salad and I enjoyed the cook on broccoli as wife did on asparagus. Our disappointment was the chocolate cake which used to be a small square which was nice for 2. Now it was a thin slice that barely is a few bites for one. Very disappointing especially since price of Campfire Feast was already raised then the add on prices and mini dessert.

My birthday lunch with family was perfect beautiful atmosphere 💕. The food was perfect very delicious. The service was phenomenal 👏. I would recommend Black Angus to all my friends and family 👪

We did the dinner for 2, it was so delicious. The NY steak was cooked perfectly, the baked potato was fresh and fully loaded, served with an appetizer, and 3 choices for dessert. The service was excellent and was serving everyone in the same manner💯%

We come here a often. The service is excellent and fast. The food is consistently good and week prepared. There have been times that something wasn't prepared to our liking and they took care of it made it right. Very good customer service attitude. The cocktails are also very good and the bar is quick. I think the was new management a little over a year ago which really improved all aspects.

Campfire dinner for 2 coupon reduces the price nearly $20. For $45, you share and appetizer, each person gets 1 entree plus 2 sides, and shares a dessert. Plus all the yeast bread and butter your heart desires! This location offers Great service, relaxing atmosphere, delicious food and you leave with leftovers for the next day (huge portions)! Can't ask for a better dining experience.

Our waiter Cesar and the manager Sadie were awesome. The restaurant is kinda western. The steaks are terrific. Perfect seasoning and cooked to perfection.

The steaks are tasty, tender and cooked as ordered. Prime rib cooked to perfection,two lobster tails and two sides all hot and tasty. Filet mignon tender and cooked perfectly, cowboy soup was surprisingly delightful. Full bar and great service all the way along. Huge shout out to our patient, attentive and personable server Karl James who went out of her way to bring a birthday cookie when she found out we were celebrating my sisters birthday. We will return.

Interesting concept with the menu. You can select all inclusive dinner package and the price is adjusted based on your selections. I chose the ribeye with grilled shrimp. The steak was cooked perfectly and tasted great. The shrimp was butterfly'd and were good as well. The remainder of the sides were all good. I had my meal with a 24oz Lagunitas 😉. I had to take half of the meal with me as the portions were large. The service was great the entire time. Overall, a very satisfying meal.

Definitely come here for Happy hour. They have delicious food and some cheaper beer and wine options. Highly recommend to try quesadilla. The chicken tender with buffalo sauce is a bit salty for me though.

Taking advantage of the free Lobster 🦞 day. My prime rib steak and lobster was delicious. No additional sauce necessary for the prime rib, and the lobster tail was sooooo savoury with the touch of melted butter.😋. And I thank Christina for being an awesome Server.✌️👍

This will be our new "any week of the year" steak craving place moving forward! Tasteful themed decor without being over the top, family-friendly options and entertainment, comfortable booths, options for steak eaters and vegetarians alike. Sides taste decent, and appetizer selection reminds me of a blend of TGIF and Applebee's, but updated. They had a $30 surf and turf combo with 2 sides included, and there was even a special on the ribeye my friend ordered (listed at $42 on the menu) for $25, with 2 sides included. Rye/wheat dinner rolls are fresh baked, like from Mimi's cafe. All in all, kinda like a hodge podge of good details from a variety of chains from the 90s and 00s. We live 10 minutes from here, and the only similar contender was Outback Steakhouse in Milpitas (40 min from us). There is Bourbon & Blossom for a splurge experience, but $40+ for the ribeye alone doesn't make it accessible as anything besides a special treat for most. Relatively patient and friendly servers for our 1st time there, and the seating is spaced out enough to provide relative privacy while still seeing other customers around. We'll be back... hopefully next week!

I didn't catch the waitress' name, but she was excellent. We were a party of 9 with varying needs and coupons and a propensity to talk a lot and stay late. But the waitress was sharp as a tack, had a great sense of humor, was kind and was never bothered by us. The food was good and lots of choices. (If you're vegetarian, there aren't a lot of choices). Great experience and many props to the waitress!!! (All I got was that she drives in from Stockton). I recommend the fried zucchini appetizer and the campfire feast for deal!

Has been a family favorite for at least two decades! Always takes care of the steak craving and the multitude of deals makes this place so affordable. Lots of variety- incredibly delicious burger masterpieces! Seafood is pretty good too and appetizers are super yum- sometimes we even opt for “appetizer dinners” aka “girl dinners”😊I have the app so always taking advantage of special offers and we always dine in the lively sports bar area - the drinks are wonderful 😋

The food was delicious. We ate it all! We started with the baked spinach artichoke dip and it was fantastic. Served with plenty of chips which is important to me. I got the mushroom blue cheese filet which was so delicious. Along with a side salad and potatoes au gartin both were fantastic. Just what I had been craving. My friend got the bacon cheese burger which she enjoyed. I also had the cherry moonshine cocktail which was good if you like cherry and then tried the strawberry lemon drop which was my favorite. All and all 10/10 recommended

It was my first experience in this steak house and it was awesome. All the food was so tasty especially the new York steak also the environment was very nice and the server was so helpful. Definitely for now one of my favorites place in san jose

The service is amazing here!! We’ve done a few of the beer dinners. Everytime we come in the manager takes the time to say hi and remember us. So funny and nice. We adore her! This place is spacious and service is excellent. Our waiter is very attentive and friendly. We ordered the meal for two with appetizer, two entrees and a dessert. The crab cake is a very good size and delicious. The steak (filet mignon) is cooked properly and tasty. The carrot cake is good too. Overall a very good experience and excellent food that's reasonably priced. This is the only Black Angus that's still around in the South Bay. Somehow the other ones in Milpitas and Sunnyvale all closed down unfortunately. We'll definitely return to support this location and want this one to stay open.

Excellent value. We had the surf and turf quesadilla for appetizer, which in my opinion is the biggest bang for bucks as far as quality and amount was concerned. The bbq ribs full rack was extra but totally worth it. Fudge cake for dessert was decadent. Special shout out to our waiter who was perhaps the most attentive waiter I've ever had in a casual restaurant. Thank you black angus.

I was cutting my way through town on Blossom Hill to get to old Charlie Weaver's house before the revenue'rs showed up to take away his copper still, when I spotted the Black Angus Steakhouse! I had already moved all his shine that was in barrels and jugs, but he wanted to make sure he could get his equipment out. I only made it 2 blocks past the Black Angus before I made a u-turn and went lickity split back. Old Charlie gonna have to be on his own, because I've got a big fat ribeye to eat...and it was amazing! As always a 5 star experience! ☆☆☆☆☆

Happy hour is a great value! All day Tuesday and Sunday, otherwise 3-7 daily. Good drink selections and decent food including a daily dinner special (except for the all day happy hours). A bit carb heavy but you can pick up some good sides from the main menu

Black Angus happens to be the 1st restaurant where I realized that I actually loved lobster. We came here a couple of times before, and we never had to wait more than half an hour. The waiters/waitresses are friendly and the service is quick. We really liked the molasses bread with whipped butter. Recently, I decided to try the teriyaki steak for a change. After the first few bites, the teriyaki taste became too overwhelming. I would suggest you to stay away from that choice haha. Other than that, the portions are reasonable for the price, and they taste great. We came here a second time. Much of my previous review stands, but I did try the Mushroom & Bleu Filet Mignon. The melted Bleu cheese didn't make much of a difference in taste. However, the steak was really good. French fries were not as crispy as I would have liked, and the mac and cheese was average.

My filet mignon was cooked to perfection just how I asked for it. My lobster tails were perfect and buttered up like my lady butters me up , and the garlic cheese bread was delicious . Mashed potatoes were really good and the asparagus was cooked just right . Drank a few Manhattan Mai tais which tasted good and made me feel really good . Definitely will be coming back to the Black Angus Steakhouse for the drinks steak and lobster again!

For its price I think this place is definitely worth coming back. There’s something about the bread that I really enjoy and makes me wanna go for seconds every time. I almost never ordered anything else besides the prime rib. I’m no expert but to me the meat is pretty good. It’s been over 10 years and I’m still coming back every now and then. Thumbs up for being very consistent quality-wise.

Great food and service. We never felt rushed and stayed almost 2.5 hours to enjoy our delicious meal. The restaurant is clean, but the carpet is definitely old and well worn. However, that is the only reason for the atmosphere rating received only 4 stars. All the staff were very pleasant. We plan to return.

Haven’t been here in a while and was surprised by how good the meat actually was. We ordered the full rack of lamb and it was as seasoned to perfection and cooked just right. The house salad was crisp and fresh and came with a cold salad fork. The side of broccoli didn’t have enough garlic on it so I ordered a separate side butter sauce. The baked potato looked like it was cooked just right. I was hoping to be healthier but realize the steak house specializes in meats and starchy veggies. Will have to try a sirloin and potato next time.

I had the steak salad at around 20.00 it was ok, my friend had the rib eye with baked potato and a side salad 35.00$ The full size side salad was good the ribeye was just ok it was a bit bland and fatty. Another friend had the 19.00 steak burger which she said was very good. The raspberry tea was very good! We went on a Sunday 4:30ish and there was a 45 minute wait but no wait if you dont mind sitting in the bar area. The place looks like one big log cabin great room. It seemed to be a senior citizen favorite.

I recently dined at Black Angus and enjoyed their delicious steaks, though I noticed the portions have become slightly smaller. Despite this, I recommend the Campfire Feast on Groupon, a fantastic deal for a meal for two. The flavors are still top-notch, making it a worthwhile experience overall. 4.5 stars!

PrimRib was a little thicker than I was expecting I ordered a 12oz and what was on my plate was definitely bigger than 12 Oz and It was the end portion of the roast which I didn't care for I preferthe middle , I guess I should have sent it back but, I didn't. The food was mediocre dry but the service from Sadie was 5 stars hands down. She was so helpful and accommodating she alone made the experience here bare able. She was an amazing server and deserves much praise and a raise. She went above and beyond to make sure we left with smiles on our faces.

Update: They stepped it up here, everything ordered was how i amagined it. Flavor was good and serving sizes were plenty. Options were a plus on entrees. I don't do chain restaurants much but think i may come back soon. Great servers, food a lil subpar

I had high hopes for this place I was excited to eat here. But unfortunately I was disappointed 😞 I ordered a mixed drink Moscow peach mule. I didn't get the drink until almost after I was done eating. Never re filled any drinks I had to wave someone down to get service. The food itself was good but way overpriced for the quantity. The steak was good and the lobster was fine. It was a good atmosphere very outback steakhouse. The fried zucchini is pretty amazing and the loaded potato soup is very good too.

Got the top teyarki sirloin, medium cooked. It was kinda rough, tough to chew. My mother got the prime rib and it came out medium rare and was REALLY thin. She sent it back and got it cooked more. The strawberry lemonade fritz was really good. The staff was kinda slow and often forgot items we asked for. It was my mother's birthday and she chose the place.

First time there... There was 5 of us...Had some issues with our food being served cold or not cooked well done that we asked for. Eventually the "manager" came out to handle the situations after a third try. Everything was fixed and the food was quite tasty. It took quite some time as we got there at 4pm (empty restaurant) and did not get to eat anything except an appetizer for 5 people and 2 breads until 5:35pm. After we finished eating the manager offered us 2 free desserts eventhough our dinner came with 2 desserts. They all were good though.

So we went with a group of 6. Wife got out to of the car to get on the wait-list as we didn't reserve, it was last minute dinner plan. I parked the car and went in and sat next to her near the host. We waitwd about 20 minutes but right before that I saw some of the hostess and maybe manager point towards us and say say something about not having reservations and seem to be arguing. Couple of minutes later they sat us but felt weird as they were just mentioning us in a negative tone. Once we sat we put in our drinks and was given a bit to see the menu. We ordered the campers feast, a tomahawk for 2, and kids steak and fries. I added lobster tails as well. We got the non alcoholic drinks ab ok it 10 minutes in. Then another 10 for the alcoholic ones. We had 2 appetizers but only one came out. We mentioned it to the waiter. He said he would look into it. Waited for like 20 minutes and no second appetizer and finally waited came to see if we want more drinks as we finished all the drinks. Ordered another round. I asked again about the garlic cheese bread. He went to check. 20 minutes later entrees start coming. We were missing a soup and still the garlic bread. Food was good as per usual. Only thing that was off was the lobster tails. They were way over and rubbery. I didn't say anything as I was sure nothing would have been done in a timely manner. Soup came very promptly. We finished our food and was asked if we wanted the dessert, well obviously we wanted it but we asked for it to go. He said okay and I mentioned again the starter, he said oh you want that to go? Like nah dude I not gonna pay for it to leave it. During this time we said what I assume was management walk by and ask a table if they were good, but didn't even look at our direction. Same lady that was talking about us at the host area. So I felt it off. Here are the Cliff notes. Food was great. Other than the lobster Service was very lack luster Initial feeling of being welcomed was a no. Would I go again, sure. But if this happened again I would write to corporate and not a review that they encourage you to do.

The atmosphere is nice. Molasses bread and soft butter is very good. Service was fine. Had the Campfire Feast $47 special, it says dinner for 2, but it is more than enough food for 3. The Wagonwheel Sampler was ok: zucchini was quite good, shrimp appetizer was blah, potato skins and chicken strips were fairly ok. The beef soup with barley and vegetables was above average, but a little salty. The New York steak was cooked medium rare as requested, but lacked seasoning and flavor. The baby back ribs could have been more moist and flavorful; I wish they were as good as what is available at my favorite Sam’s BBQ. I had panna cotta dessert for the first time and thought it was blah. You get a lot for your money, quantity but not the best quality.

Very busy place. Call ahead for a reservation. Mo I believe was the servers name. Good for the most part till at the end. Did not bring the check. A lot of customers looking were around for the check. I went to find the waiter and asked for the check. People in the back said “well Isn’t that convenient, now he wants the check.” Not sure what that meant but be sure customers can’t hear you when you are talking about them. Mo said yeh I can get that for you. I don’t bring it till you ask. I don’t know that was a thing, but you do have to be present for the customer to ask.

Classic neighborhood steakhouse with nice portion and free warm store-made bread and butter! Our dining experience was not up to expectations though. The restaurant is a stand-alone building right behind Pier 1 Import and right next to Oakridge Mall. There are ample parkings. Walking into the front door, you'll be transported back to the old time with cowboy decorations, wooded panels and cute u-shaped booths. There was a bar area with TVs if you wanted to watch sports and enjoy a drink while doing that. I highly recommend you make a reservation before you come. I've dined here many times. Even when the store is empty and you are the only customers there at the waiting area, the staff will always tell you "The wait is 20 minutes or more." Even with reservation, my sister and I waited 10 minutes (again with an empty store and only us there). Our server tried her best but was absent minded. She kept forgetting my sister's margarita order and our request for extra bread. Food took forever to come out and did not have great presentation. We were there to try out their brunch menu this time. You can't pass a deal on $4 margarita and $5 mimosa! And those drinks were the highlight of our dining experience though they took forever to come as well and the restaurant was basically empty. We ordered shrimp & grit and lobster scrambles. The scrambles looked like something my 10 years old cousin made for breakfast. The shrimp & grit looked nicer. Taste wise, it was the opposite. I was surprised at how flavorful the lobster scrambles were and I could definitely taste the lobsters. The shrimp & grit was bland/tasteless and the garlic breads that came with it tasted old. The shrimps were fresh though. The free warm house-made bread was a lovely addition and we appreciated it every time we came here. Overall, it's a mixed experience for us. Not a bad place at all but there are lots of room for improvement.

I recently visited this steak restaurant and was genuinely impressed with the quality of the food—the steak was cooked to perfection and full of flavor. The atmosphere was cozy and made for a great dining setting. However, the service didn’t quite match the quality of the food or the ambiance. But unfortunately I forgot to take pictures for the food as I was upset about the way the waitress act. When we were first seated, the waitress lacked a welcoming attitude, which left a cold first impression. Interestingly, her demeanor shifted toward the end of our visit, just before the check arrived—possibly in hopes of a tip. What truly made a difference in my experience was a staff member who wasn’t even assigned to our table. An Asian gentleman who works in the back and helps run food and drinks came to our table with our order. He was incredibly friendly, warm, and welcoming—something I really appreciated. His attitude alone uplifted the experience, and I made sure to tip him personally, even though it wasn’t his responsibility to serve us. Honestly, he’s the kind of person they should have working in the front. Overall, I’d still be willing to give this place one more try to see if the service improves. If it does, I’d be happy to update my review accordingly

This is my first visit to Black Angus Steak house in Blossom Hill road, San Jose, CA and that too on Valentine’s day. The dinner reservation was at 8:15 pm. When I checked in at the restaurant, it was 8:05 pm. The front desk informed me that they were at least 30 minutes behind, on their schedule and asked to wait till my name was called. There were quite a few folks waiting to be seated. I was very surprised that an established food chain such as Black Angus failed to seat their customers on a special occasion on time per the reservation time. The front desk staff were doing their best to seat people as fast as they could. A very poor planning by the management of the establishment. My name was finally called at 8:50 pm, a whopping 40 minutes after my reservation time. We ordered the “Campfire Feast” which comes with a choice of one starter, two entrees with four sides and a dessert. We ordered steak fries for starters, New York strip and grilled salmon for entree with wedge salad, garden salad, potato Au gratin and fresh broccoli for sides. Lastly cheese cake for dessert. For drinks, Bloody Mary and margarita were ordered. Heather, who waited on us, was pleasant and friendly. The complimentary bread was tasty and soft with a side of butter and so was the starter, steak fries. By the time we received our entrees, it was almost 9:45 pm. The wedge salad was smothered with a very salty dressing and the garden salad had too much of dressing though I requested the dressing on the side. The New York strip was very tasty but the grilled salmon was under seasoned and a little on the dry side. Since it was too late, we had the dessert to go. The ambience and the decor were appealing. Overall, it was not a memorable experience for a first visit. Would the experience have been better, had it not been for the special occasion? I am not sure. For sure, at least the food should have been better to compensate for the delay and the money spent but left a bad taste in my mouth. I would not consider going back to Black Angus again.

Arrived 5:55pm for a 6pm reservation. Got seated at 6:35pm 15min later we got bread but no water. We ate the bread without water. We asked. It just never came. 40min after seating, we finally got our drinks and cocktails. Food wasn't bad but probably not worthy of the price paid. Good company saved the evening. It took another 30min to get the bill. I'd definitely consider other options in the future.

I recently visited Black Angus Steakhouse in San Jose. The food was good and the atmosphere was enjoyable, but unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. Our server, Stephany, was extremely unprofessional. She spoke with a dull, unpleasant tone and carried a negative vibe throughout the evening. Instead of approaching our table directly, she stood awkwardly to the side with her hand on her chin, forcing us to turn just to interact with her. She didn’t smile once or make any effort to be welcoming. It became obvious she was about to clock out and wanted to rush us out as quickly as possible. While we were still eating, she asked if she could bring to-go boxes — I had to tell her we hadn’t finished yet. Then she tried to bring us the check before we’d even ordered dessert. When I said we’d be dining in for dessert, she looked visibly annoyed. Overall, while the food and ambiance were great, the poor service really took away from the experience. I expect better from a place like Black Angus.

It was a pretty mediocre experience for the price. Dinner for two with my wife for our anniversary with NY strip and shrimp entrees. The artichoke dip appetizer was good. Steak was actually good and cooked correctly but missing mushrooms we paid extra for. Shrimp was so overcooked that it was like rubber. Mashed potatoes were old and dry. Broccoli with garlic butter came with melted cold butter liquid. Very small portions. 6 medium shrimp over a few bites of rice does not make an entree with 3 pieces of Broccoli, mostly stem, and maybe an ice cream scoop of mash potatoes. Chocolate cake was also underwhelming, dry with a scoop of cheap ice cream and a teaspoon of chocolate sauce in a metal side cup that I wasn’t sure what to do with on a massive cake piece covered in old dry chocolate flakes. We heard the manager arguing with guests over how their kids steaks were cooked admitting that they were undercooked but not at the level the guest claimed while the kids were sad and hungry. Skip this place and go to Chilis.

Takes too long for service to bring a drink. Had the tomahawk steak and very disappointing in size. When you hear tomahawk steak you think big. My 14 year old and I was going to share it but when it came out. I let him eat the whole thing by himself.

When we paid $90 for a 2 person meal we expect good steak and we would’ve been better off going to Texas Roadhouse. There was no parking even for pickup. The food is smaller. 6oz steak was 2 oz. The dinner for 2 was 91$. On the website is for 69!!! I don't know why.

After a long drive to California from Oregon we decided to try Black Angus here in San Jose. Well to start the building is old and a little run down but we still had hope that the food would be great. We waited approximately 25 minutes to be seated. Once we were seated the waiter was quick to take our order, the menus were a little disgusting they felt soggy. We ordered artichoke dip as our appetizer, 12 oz steak with the 2 sides, order of ribs with 2 sides, a 6 oz steak with sides and then land and sea which was a steak and grilled shrimp also was suppose to come with 2 sides. Well we waited about 45 min and there still was no appetizer, I called the waiter over and told her to cancel it because I thought it was already too late. She said that she didn’t put it on the order I said oh okay well I guess that works out. We waited about 25 min and still no food. The waiter told the manager that the food still hadn’t come out. I guess the order was never put in so I told the manager we would just leave. I mean what place has a family of 5 waiting over an hour and never once managed to check and see if the food was being made. Very disappointing and obviously won’t be back again.

Great if you like your steak rare. Always a problem. Thought I'd try one more time . Ordered my steak well done via door dash. Then I called and spoke to the manager about ensuring it was well done. The steak I got was rare. Again.

This was one of the worst dining experiences we've ever had, entirely due to our server, Jenifer Zenti (later find out she might be the manager). From the moment we sat down, she was rude, cold, and clearly unhappy to be there. When we politely asked to start with water, her attitude immediately turned sour. While taking our order, she was visibly impatient and even raised her voice at us because we couldn't hear her clearly. The tone was unnecessary and completely unprofessional. After a long wait for our food, we asked for additional bread and were abruptly told they had "run out," which only added to the frustration. From that point forward, she never once checked on our table. Never followed out water once while serving many times to other tables. When the food finally arrived, she dropped it on the table without a single word--no explanation, no courtesy, no basic service. We had a child with us who witnessed this behavior, which made the experience even more disappointing. This level of service is unacceptable. Jenifer single-handedly ruined our evening, and it's hard to understand how the restaurant allows someone so rude, dismissive, and unprofessional to represent them. We expected far better.

Worse visit ive had to a steak house in a while. To many issues and concerns to list. Maybe just our luck (on my wife's bday) nothing went our way. Had to cancel the free Happy bday song and desert cause we were not in the mood.

So this is shrimp on a bed of rice! Really Manager said that's what you get it's not suppose to be a meal. Really this is a bed of rice??? Here's the salad. Really You can be the judge To go orders should look appetizing and this part of our order is far from it. Manager could have fixed the issue with a bit of extra rice and a bit of extra lettuce as it would not break the bank but chose not too. It's about customer service and this is unacceptable especially since yesterday I ordered to go and had no issue with serving. I was going to write a 5 star review for yesterday but yaaaa no, I unfortunately have to write a review about today’s experience instead. This is now a customer service issue and you, older female manager on duty today 1/4/24 provided non. Sorry I don't know your name. Here’s the end result and I’ve been more than a team player when you guys have messed up my food order time and time again. Don’t get me wrong, some of the employees and management give excellent customer service but again TODAY I had to give you guys a one star because of what happen over some rice and lettuce.
