Still new to the Almaden Ranch shopping center so has not gotten as busy, but it will. This location is prime next to the freeway and expressway. They open a little later than most Panera I have visited but they have excellent service and food. As they grow, I can only hope that it will get better.

We Went this morning for Breakfast. It Busy (good for them) at Almaden Ranch. We ordered at the Register. Our Girl was Helpful and she ordered Right. We took Ours Home to Enjoy. Pecan Braid will be Enjoyed later.

Excellent food, freshly made. Pastries, bagels, rolls, fresh bread of all sorts. And i love getting breakfast here. Lunch is pretty special too with salads and soups and sandwiches on their freshly made bread. The downside is the parking lot, which isn't their problem. IF you can find a place to put your vehicle, i highly recommend this place.

I am autistic and Panera is my go-to place for takeout and dine-in. Immediately upon walking in, they have order kiosks, so if you're like me and not great with social interaction, you can order on the kiosks instead of at the front counter. They also have headphone jacks if you need the menu narrated to you and braille on a couple as well. The atmosphere is great. They don't have loud music playing, and they don't have harsh lighting- the lights are dim and ambient, but bright enough that I can still see easily despite my vision issues. The staff are phenomenal. I'm a regular and they know me well, but even when I was just starting to go there, they were kind and patient with me and my stuttering tendencies and occasional non-verbal moments. They know I always order a large drink, so I never have to remind them to hand me a cup, they know to hand me one as soon as I walk to the counter, and they always smile and they're very gentle about it. I really, really appreciate their dedication to making customers like me more comfortable. I love their charged lemonade, because the high caffeine content helps with my chronic migraines. Also, most of their food is very consistent in texture and therefore very good for those with sensory difficulties and ARFID. I do also have a trained service dog that comes with me a lot, and the staff definitely know the ADA well, seeing as they've never challenged me about her yet don't allow untrained pets. I've never seen another dog in Panera other than a trained service dog. I really cannot say enough good things about the Almaden Panera and their amazing staff. It can be very hard navigating life independently as someone with autism and chronic health issues, but knowing that I have Panera as an option for easy dining makes everything a little easier.

My mom and I had dinner here recently and had a good meal. The place as not too crowded so we were able to order right away. The food then came within a few minutes. They deliver right to your table. We both had the Pick Two. I went with the Green Goddess Cobb Salad with Chicken - Chicken raised without antibiotics, arugula, romaine, kale and radicchio blend, vine-ripened tomatoes and pickled red onions tossed with freshly made Green Goddess dressing and topped with avocado, bacon, and cage-free hard-boiled egg (mom ate the egg). This was a really good salad. Loved the bacon and avocado. Good chicken flavor. I also had the Vegetarian Autumn Squash Soup - A rich blend of butternut squash and pumpkin simmered in vegetable broth with select ingredients including: honey, apple juice, cinnamon and a hint of curry, then finished with sweet cream and topped with roasted and salted pumpkin seeds. I really like this soup. It has a good Fall flavor. Love the pumpkin seeds on top. Mom had the Vegetarian Creamy Tomato Soup - Vine-ripened pear tomatoes pureed with fresh cream for a velvety smooth flavor accented by hints of red pepper and oregano and topped with our homemade black pepper focaccia croutons. She really liked the soup. Good tomato flavor. She also had the Heritage Ham & Swiss Sandwich - Artisan ham, Emmental swiss, emerald greens (mom skipped the greens) and maple mustard sauce on Country Rustic. Ate the side of bread the next day and it was really good toasted. And love the kettle chips too. Overall a good dinner. Love their food.

Price of food has exploded. Dinner for 4 is in the $80 range. And that's 3 grilled cheese a Nappa sandwich a couple smoothies couple cookies, and that use to cost around $45/$50 bucks. Can't complain it's just here but every where else as well. Make your on sandwiches at home.

This store always had great customer service, even when they are busy. My only real issue is the run out of bread from time to time (how do they manage that, I have no idea) and the cost to eat there is simply way to high! 33 bucks for Mac n Cheese, a grilled cheese and a half grilled cheese with two drinks.... That's a whopping 3 Dollars with of food!

Great place for soup and sandwiches. Lots of different options and combos. Prices aren't bad either. Lots of seating both outside and inside. I also really like their breakfast pastries. Their muffins are awesome. Staff is friendly and helpful. Great place for a quick bite.

Personally I am not a huge fan of Panera. The food is pretty bland, drinks are ok. It's rather annoying they ask you to microwave your food if you want it warmed up - get an oven Panera.... Deserts are pretty good. Pretty chill place to stay and do work or study.

You get the same food at every Panera so it is what you expt. The food was good. Hot food was hot. Person taking our order was friendly and helpful. Floors had a lot of trash. They need to spend some time on cleanup.

They have really good customer service here, and I see they try their best. The lettuce in my salad was pretty sad. I had to pick out my veggies & toppings, and use my own lettuce before I put the dressing in my greek salad. The French bread is definitely made different at this location. Each time I get the French bread for a side, it's very soft and there's no crunch to the outside. I go here because it's on my way home from work, so I can grab my food and go home, but if I really want to be picky and have my food made better I will choose the Cottle location over this one.

And store manager was just holding the title and knew nothing about issues at her store. Pros: spacious and clean indoor space, ordering kiosks are very helpful when busy, easy parking, food can be customized

The Bacon Turkey Bravo is no more!!! This "Bravo" sandwich is not even close to the BTB and the pickle kind of wrapped it in a neat bow of pain. Only 1 working kiosk to order and no person to take orders while I was there. It's a sad day today

Sadly, I think this location is becoming diminished in its service to customers. Twice in 2 weeks a simple egg/sausage/cheese sandwich order to go was missing the sausage and when I unwrapped my order it was egg on Ciabatta, no cheese, no sausage. Not going back to this one.

We know all Panera bread locations in this region and this is by far the worst of all. A combination of poorly trained cashiers, tables that are never clean, and a bad selection of seats (very few booths and a large table that nobody wants to use) makes this location our last choice when we want to go to Panera. I'd also recommend people to watch out for their belongings. While this is always good advice anywhere, it took some 30s or less of inattention to have my wife's purse stolen with all documents and credit cards. The location in the store where the crime happened was not covered by cameras.

I get so disappointed every time I visit a Panera, whether it be in California or NY. I love salads and every time I order one without fail all the items listed on the board that is supposed to be in the salad is never in it. I am really tired of paying full price for food and not getting what is expected. This has happened to me on 3 occasions now at this location. I understand that they are busy, but we should get what we pay for and what is advertised.

The food is good. The pastries are better, but Panera Bread has the same problem on their hands that Starbucks has. People think it is their office. Half of the restaurant's tables were being used by people on their computers mooching off of the free WiFi. Students, business people, etc... Can these people not afford their own internet? One booth there were two students on their computers with head phones on, their papers and text books strewn about. Clearly they had already been there for awhile as the food they ordered had been eaten long ago. It was a total mess. These people stay for hours and hours. Meanwhile other customers who need a place to sit down and eat, can't. I had to take my food to go because no tables opened up. It's a problem.

Normally I’d give this location a solid 5/5. I always love the food at Panera and at other stores I’ve had great experiences w friendly staff. And at this store I’ve usually had that …. But today I come in and am clearly looking at the menu waiting for someone to take my order . There are about 4 workers looking at the POS systems registers and they could’ve looked up and wouldn’t clearly seen me there . But then one of the ladies did look at me and ACTUALLY WALKED THE OTHER WAY. There was no hello, no “be with you in a moment”. They just straight up ignored me . Y’all need to learn customer service skills because this was just straight up disrespectful

Placed an order today for pick up comprising 3 items.After I picked up the order and reached home, I found one item missing. Called up the restaurant and was told I should have looked around and picked up the 2nd bag. I looked at the bag and it had all 3 items marked, clearly it wasn't my fault. When I went back, I couldn't find the 2nd bag. Apparently it was kept at the payment counter, not the pick up counter. To make the matters worse, my chicken bowl had no chicken in it. Screw ups happen, but holding the customer responsible for it .. not cool.

Just received the grossest chicken salad sandwich I’ve ever seen in my life from this place. It wasn’t even chicken salad - it was stringy slices of chicken slightly torn up with two pieces of grape and a few slices of almond and thrown on bread. Nothing like described on the menu… just greasy, tasteless. Went in the trash. Do not recommend. Yuk.

I'm used to creamy chicken and wild rice looking creamy! As pictured with the spoon in it, but the one with the receipt is what I received. They sometimes make a mistake and give me chicken noodle and when I complained they pointed out that it is chicken and wild rice. Either they changed the recipe or don't care about quality control there. Plus for $7.79 you think it would be full, minus the bit of space to close without spilling. Everyone was nice, but I still won't be going back for awhile.

Today on my birthday I ordered the Margherita flatbread as I have in the past. In previous orders the FB was very good. Today it was terrible. Instead of the white sauce it had the red marinara sauce. And the only toppings were cheese and sliced Roma tomatoes. That’s it. Whoever prepared the FB obviously did not know how to make it. To top it off on my receipt someone with the initials EM checked the order. I will think twice about visiting this location again

There was a strong stinch when walking in that I notified the staff about. My sandwich tasted like it had been sitting around for a day. No taste. Bread was two times bigger than at other Panera restaurants. Trash!!!

I scheduled a delivery from Panera's website many hours in advance and paid in full. When I tracked the order it sent me to Doordash. I would never order from them after many terrible experiences but somehow Panera gave it to them. The Doordash tracking said cancelled with no explanation. When I called the Cherry Ave Panera manager she said I have to go to Doordash to get a refund. I had to ask her what happened before she told me the Doordash driver came early and the food wasn't ready so the driver just left (not surprisingly, thus why I dont use Doordash) No food. No way to pursue a refund through the place I ordered it from. I will never order Panera again and I will make sure my business doesn't either.

They have a nasty habit of forgetting sides for your orders, and want to check your bag to make sure that they forgot to give you .25$ worth of croutons instead giving u a handful of croutons in good faith after u drop over 30 bucks on their nominally satisfying food. Panera had gone downhill generally over the years, but this one is bottom of the barrel.

They keep changing their menu, for the worse. I don't think it is anything specific to this store, but the long-time popular items keep disappearing. Portion sizes vary greatly, from visit-to-visit, making it so you never quite know what to expect. Half of the soda flavors are out of syrup on most weekends. Even when alerting the staff, they say they will refill it... but don't. I used to be a big fan of Panera, but I think we'll be done with visiting them for awhile.

I had a really awful experience at this store and I shared my thoughts to customer service and they emailed me said contact me soon, but no calls since it has been 5 days now. So I am sharing my story here. After I had an online order it wasn't ready by the pick up time. After 10 min, I wanted to check how far my order was. I asked the staff who was packing food, also who has been talking all the time with the guy in front of me. The staff did not answer, and I asked her twice with louder voice, but no answer. I felt like the staff ignored me and treated unfairly with no reason. I walked to the cashier and asked check for my order and kindly she did and my order came out right after 20 min waiting. No one explained why my food was so late or thanked for waiting or something... To make this matter worst, the food wasn't packed right! So awful!

Lady at register was nice. I’ve always had a poor experience with the people preparing the food. Today she threw my plate with the bagel on the counter and walked away without even looking. So incredibly rude! Even my kids noticed and said why did she throw it? This location is so convenient but the customer service is horrible and the tables are always filthy. This will be the last time I visit this location.

I've successfully avoided this location for a long time but wanted a souffle this morning. That was a mistake. They don't even have anything prepared at 6am, when they open. 30 minutes after opening I could have got what I ordered. Good reminder to avoid this location. Holy!!!! 😳 This is a great new location. Always gets my order right and the staff has been pretty good. Super close to my pad, I like having one so close. Good stuff!! The new staff got lazy...closing early, not serving 'dine in' around 30 minutes prior to close, never getting my bowl of soup correct and ringing me in for a cup and pretending I'm trying to rip them off for an ounce of soup...yet I order the SAME thing for years. Corporate needs to regulate the new staff and maybe bring in a new GM. Newest update...if they're out of sliced white bread and you want a dinner roll, gotta pay! Buahahahaha!!! This location turned in to a desperate failing restaurant who has to charge for an extra ketchup packets...even when they normally provide bottles on the tables (they were empty)...$0.75 please. What in the actual?!? Mental note to self...drive down to Cottle until they replace the staff. Can't update my 1 star to a lower rating. C'est la vie. Should have remembered and not went back to this terrible location.

If I could put a single star here, I would choose this. Disgusting! December 24, we ordered as usual. The tomato soup was just awful. It was greasy and heavily diluted with water, it seemed that you were eating water with oil. My tuna sandwich was just disgusting. In the greens, which I ask them to give separately in a box, there was again a beetle. And this is not the first time! And on top of that, the tuna salad in my sandwich was apparently not fresh. As a result, I got poisoned, it was bad for several days. This is despite the fact that I am breastfeeding a baby. Christmas was ruined. But when my husband was able to get here only a week later and asked for the money back, they refused, they said they came late. It's funny, like there's an overdue date for that. Totally disappointed!

This is the smallest portion I have ever received when choosing you pick two. When I asked the employees they said it's like that because I chose the pick two. I paid $15.62 for this and clearly it's not worth it judging by the portion size. You get bigger portions at other paneras in San Jose.

I came to this establishment today around 7pm, and was rudely greeted by a sassy blonde young lady, she seemed a bit messy, disoriented, and unpleasant, she payed more attention to her phone then to the customer. I also came a few weeks and was surprised not to see her still on a chair today at the cashier. I also ordered a steak and white cheeder and received nothing but rubbish as my meal. Beyond the fact they charge $7 for a small side serving of Mac n cheese and up charged me for a stale multiday old multigran roll that should have come with a kids meal to top if off I see this right before my kid takes a bit of it. I already know this place is over priced for what it is but you gotta step up the service/care/food quality if you charge this kinda money. Probably felt they could dump this off on me because it was a to go order. Feel free to make this right Panera Bread, but I'm too busy to swing back in with two kids to complain to a manager about the kitchens lack of effort and care.

The coffee is always cold even in the mornings.the bathroom is never clean and smells always .the manager don’t even care,I asked he said that’s all we have…. Get Starbucks it’s in the same shopping center.

This is the smallest portion I have ever received when choosing you pick two. When I asked the employees they said it's like that because I chose the pick two. I paid $15.62 for this and clearly it's not worth it judging by the portion size. You get bigger portions at other paneras in San Jose.

I came to this establishment today around 7pm, and was rudely greeted by a sassy blonde young lady, she seemed a bit messy, disoriented, and unpleasant, she payed more attention to her phone then to the customer. I also came a few weeks and was surprised not to see her still on a chair today at the cashier. I also ordered a steak and white cheeder and received nothing but rubbish as my meal. Beyond the fact they charge $7 for a small side serving of Mac n cheese and up charged me for a stale multiday old multigran roll that should have come with a kids meal to top if off I see this right before my kid takes a bit of it. Came in around 7pm. Hot water is luke warm, urns filled with stale coffee, and many uncleared tables with used plates, napkins, and leftover food. Clearly a management problem.

The tables are always dirty. No one ever bothers wiping them. The self order kiosks malfunction too often: reboothing or getting stuck in the middle of the order. The employees in the counters are not really better than the kiosk, they have no idea what ingredients you can customize for the different items. Also, Whats the point of calling it a "warm bowl" if they serve it cold?

Very poor customer service from Deisy who was at the cash register. She snapped on me when I corrected her the order she plugged in for us. Please send her to the kitchen and just wash the dishes só as she doesn’t ruin your customers experience at your location. The brocolli cheddar soup is very salty at this location. Used to be our favorite.
