This place is one of the best restaurant I have ever been too. Since I moved an hour away from San Jose I make frequent trips there for their food. And the couple that owns it is wonderful.

Coming from Salinas, a very agricultural rich area, there is no shortage of "real" Mexican style cuisine. This is authentico! The sopes are amazing. Check it out. Yummy de verdad and they accept EBT. Great food and atmosphère

10 stars. Seriously, give them more stars. I'll be back. Food prepared fresh. Pollo Asada and Chile Verde were all killer. The quesadilla could have used more lard or something and the salsas weren't exceptional but the food tasted so damn good I didn't want to foul it up with salsa.

Carne asada quesadilla and carne asada taco were both hot and tasted good but just a little pricey for the portions they give you. Some great customer service, very friendly and attentive. Family Owned.

One of the few Mexican food places I like in San Jose. Food is slightly over priced though, especially the tacos for the size. Tacos and burritos are very tasty, but wish the food came out warmer.b

I always get their enchiladas. Their customer service is great and service is fast. I give it 4stars because I haven't tried any other meat. And Mexican rice can be thicker as I like it.

I ordered two chile rellenos with rice & beans combo, the chile rellenos were very tasty however they were quite greasy, I had to place two napkins to absorb the oil/grease on the 2nd chile relleno before eating. I also ordered a lengua taco, also tasty, however I was surprised that they added beans as a filler to the already small taco, instead of all meat. I was disappointed, I didn't know that it would be served that way since never before in my life had I seen it prepared that way.

Not customer service friendly unless you are a regular customer. Owners act as if they don't need money because they seem annoyed when an order is being placed. They don't acknowledge you or say hi, I had to say thank you to them when I got my order. That was the only way to get a word out from the female owner.

I recently moved into the area and is trying the food places near me. Not all the food is bad is service is ok. Reason I gave only 2 stars is cause of the Nachos I ordered beef nachos. Wish I didn't pay before I seen my food, I watched the cook take out 2 containers of meat from the "fridge", both the carnitas and asada were the color grey before cooking, looked atleast 4 days old. Wouldn't recommend to anybody, ruined my lunch

I do not recommend this place to eat. The food is reheated in the microwave and not made fresh the same day. The rice was probably good when it was originally made but it's app reheated. The cilantro was wilted too.

I’ve had the worst burrito ever yesterday at this place. I saw the cook or owner made it myself. She just dumped a bunch of pintos and pork together and some onions. It was soggy and tasted nasty. I barely touched it and it felt apart. I would give it a zero star if I could. Will never go back here again!!!

That's a major plus➕! (If only they all did)! I remember when there was a spike in restaurants that were starting to accept EBT food stamp cards, and it was exciting to watch in wonder about which restaurants were going to start accepting EBT cards next!! We now have some pretty good choices; but at the same time, it seems like the widespread growing acceptance of EBT cards by food chains has came to a screeching halt, and in all honesty, when you look at the immense posotsibilities and the bigger picture, the truth is, very few restaurants accept EBT cards! They're spread all over and very far apart. (We definitely need more)! 🚫 I've also noticed that food chains that accept EBT cards tend to kind of treat people who are in possession of one a little different and less than their average customers! 🤷🏽(?) I've never understood that! I've been to this location a lot, and this restaurant is the prime example of that! I've recently made a decision not to return to this restaurant ever again and not just for that reason, but a couple more as well!! I've tried being humble, and tried to accept their petty ways, but they're way too rude, unprofessional and definitely not clean enough for me!! They have very unsafe food practices & storage. If you just look into the background where they're working, pay close attention to how they're handling the food after touching money, dropping stuff on the floor and then touching your food with their bare hands! 😱 It's disgusting and sickening!! They should have to be ordered to retake a course of a Safe Serve! They definitely have some remodeling and cleaning up to do; and I mean that in more than one way! [Money💵 is money💰] + isn't it the more the merrier!? A successful business owner knows how to accommodate and compromise for their customers! They must be rich & can afford if their business goes under, because they obviously don't have or know what it takes to run a successful business!! 👎🏽👎🏿
