I love Cajun bistro , if you live in San Jose and you haven’t tried Cajun bistro you are missing out on life. Their sweet California hits every time and their crawfish are huge. Super good cooked to perfection Cajun bistro is my life 🩷. Staff is also so nice and very attentive great place.

This place has fresh crawfish almost all year long and theyre open super late. Definitely has a long wait in the late weekend nights so I recommend going during the day on weekdays and weekends. Their crawfish has been consistently one of the cleaner and sweeter ones that I’ve had in comparison to other seafood boil places in the bay. The shrimp they use are also huge. Big fan of their 3lb combo original louisiana mild. Their sauce is for sure not the traditional Vietnamese-Cajun flavor but it is definitely unique and you will not find it elsewhere.

Definitely a hole in the wall food spot!!! When you enter the store, you are instantly greeted and are gestured to sit down at a table. I’ve been here multiple times and each time, service has been quick and food has been consistent with quality. This food spot is a casual, Vietnamese comfort Cajun spot that has a variety of Vietnamese food along with Cajun seafood. The sauce you have to get here is the Original Louisiana sauce! On this visit, we ordered the Garlic Noodles with extra garlic and 3LB Combo with Shrimp, Clams, Crawfish, 2 pieces of corn, 2 pieces of potatoes, and 4 pieces of sausages all mixed with the Original Louisiana sauce. The sauce tastes creamy, buttery and mixes really well with the seafood. You can tell it was cooked fresh when ordered. Garlic noodles were good. I always like to add the Original Louisiana sauce onto the garlic noodles and eat it with the seafood. Regular garlic noodles are good here but if you love garlic, I would recommend ordering it with extra garlic. Gloves are provided to use if you don’t want to use your bare hands to open the seafood.

Great place for sharing a meal with many friends. We ordered garlic noodle with shaken beef, combination seafood fried rice, fried crispy tilapia with fries, fried calamari, corn, sweet potato fries, 1# shrimp each with different flavor: Louisiana, California, garlic. The meal was tasty. You can request mild sauce on shrimp and get sides of hot sauce. Service was efficient and friendly.

Their golden California sauce uses Japanese kewpie mayo. The pro play is to dip the shrimp back into the sauce for infinite flavor. Their fish sauce chicken wings were smaller than expected, but still full of flavor. The garlic noodles were good.

I am from Louisiana- We toured through California in search of roller-skating rinks and restaurants. I was surprised when the group I was traveling with wanted to try a Cajun restaurant. So, my friends and I started our experience by drinking a few bottles of Corona and Heineken. After a quick pre-game we moved on to the Parmesan garlic noodles, and Oysters- 18 pc- these were amazing. (The oysters were not prepared traditional, but the quality/taste was right.) We also ordered a 4 lb. Combo- Crawfish, clams, Shrimp, and mussels. Includes 3 corn, 3 potatoes, 4 pieces of sausage. I thought wow what a great spin on the flavor with less sodium than I am used to. A+ on the mussels we ate them ALL!

I’ve been here several times with the most recent being this past weekend. We always do either the 3lbs or 4lbs special with the Sweet California sauce. This most recent visit, we ordered the 3lbs combo with double shrimp and mussels. I wish they debearded the mussels before cooking it but otherwise, everything was good. We also ordered the fried calamari, which we won’t be ordering again. Although the calamari was crispy and had great seasoning, the portion size does not justify the price. The service is pretty straightforward and I’ve never had any issues with them. I appreciate that they provide gloves and wet naps. It would definitely be better if they also provided bibs like other seafood restaurants. Parking can be a hassle since it’s in a large plaza with many other businesses. The menu is not as extensive as other seafood boil restaurants but I will always come back for the yummy Sweet California sauce alone.

The shrimp is sometimes overcooked and sticks to the shell... could even possibly be frozen?, but still very delicious.

Not much theming compared to other places like Kickin Crab and Boiling Crab. They have a big screen television. Great for watching the game.

When my daughter came back to visit from NY, she happened to crave for Cajun seafood, we went to Cajun Crack'n in Milpitas and this time my son recommended this restaurant that he likes after eating here with friends before. So, the restaurant is small, and the servers don't know how to be pleasant or attentive, if you need something you have to ask only when they want to see you even the aprons. I didn't have good feelings with this restaurant. The restaurant is typical VN family restaurants, just simple tables and chairs, not very airy. Like every cajun seafood restaurant, they have some combo for people to choose. One thing that disappointed my daughter was NO snow crab legs, only King Crab for $80/lb. I didn't care fore the seafood that much, there's no catfish fried for me so I ordered something to eat, beef cubes sauteed with linguine which so soggy and soft. I cook linguine better than this. There's not much on the menu for seafood that I really like. My daughter sadly ordered the combo $70 which didn't have much in it. If it's up to me I just get up and leave, go some places that have what you want but since my son recommended this so we stayed. We ordered some fried calamari and fries for appetizers, they're ok, nothing special, I could still taste the calamari seafood odor. The main course came, the sauce didn't look very good, but my wife and daughter said it was ok, not bad. My son seemed to enjoy it more. Anyhow, we decided that this restaurant is just for my son and his friends not for us. Never been in a restaurant and feeling so unhappy and unexcited like this one.

Took around 40 mins after sitting down to order and get any food. Ordered the garlic parmesan noodles, mussels, king crab, shrimp, and Cajun fries. The garlic noodles were good and the Cajun fries were nice and spiced but only seasoned at the top. The mussels were in the original sauce in medium heat but, the sauce just tastes like butter and minced garlic. Mussels were decent but a little fishy tasting. The shrimp is head on— and there’s no option for without. We got the spicy original and they were definitely a little overcooked, because the shell is very hard to remove from the meat and they’re not cut clean at the top to remove the shrimp poop. If you’re looking for real spicy, the closest thing is the Cajun fries. The crab tasted pretty old and spoiled. There’s a bitter aftertaste in old crab and when the shell is bendy and flexible, it’s not the greatest sign. They don’t have anything to offer to crack the crab open, so it was tough to finish. The price for everything is decent except the crab. It’s market price and was around $90 for a pound of crab and it wasn’t even fresh. Comes with basically a stick of melted butter, sugar, and onions. Made me miss east coast Mr and Mrs Crab seasoning.

Today around 11:45 AM, I purchased a shaking beef dish for my girlfriend. I have been a regular customer at this restaurant for nearly 3 years, which makes today’s experience even more disappointing. Shortly after finishing the meal, my girlfriend started feeling severe nausea and a strong headache. This is a very serious issue, especially when it directly affects someone’s health. We have eaten here many times before without problems, so this incident made me deeply concerned about the food quality and food safety. When my girlfriend started feeling unwell, I immediately called the restaurant. The staff member who answered the phone was polite and friendly and listened to my feedback. However, when that staff member relayed the issue to the kitchen staff, their reaction was extremely unprofessional and disappointing. From what I could hear, they seemed to think I was trying to cause trouble and even suggested that I should bring the dish back to the restaurant so they could “question” it. This made me feel that they did not believe me at all, as if I was only calling to ask for a refund. This kind of response is unacceptable, especially when a customer is reporting a potential health issue. The staff member also told me that they would report the issue to the owner and that the owner would call me back, but I never received any follow-up call. This shows a complete lack of responsibility and care for customers. I am extremely disappointed by how this situation was handled. Not only was there a serious food safety concern, but the way the staff responded made the experience even worse. Because of this, I will never return to this restaurant again. If my girlfriend experiences any further health problems, I will have no choice but to report this incident to the food safety and health department for further investigation.

The restaurant is all 20 something year old or high school kids, and the wait staff on ceremoniously brings out a metal bowl with a giant plastic bag which inexplicably has the boiled food along with the sauce. There's a multitude of problems here and it's hard to know where to begin, my clams for all smashed with shell pieces throughout the whole plastic bag, for some reason the plastic bag was full of shrimp antenna, and the sauce was just nothing short of an abomination. It was truly, astonishingly bad even belying explanation, but it was this sort of super runny consistency low quality milk with just terrible spices, it honestly felt like an exaggerated joke of what terrible Chinese food would be like if they didn't understand what Cajun was but maybe saw it on TV once. Honestly, and I feel bad for saying this, generally my negative reviews I try to have some constructive feedback for the proprietors, maybe suggestions about things that they could work on. In this case I can't there's nothing redeeming about this establishment. They definitely seem like they're doing very well with the late teenager crowd of various Asian ethnicities but I must say in the strongest possible terms, avoid this restaurant.
