2/21/26 For a limited time they are offering new year meals. Came here because I earned coupons from dim sum (10 with each 50 spent) If you choose these set $188 for 4, food comes out fast 2/06/26 Weekday dim sum (excluding holidays) where Large is the same as Medium price (6.29) is great. Forgot to take pics because was hungry but food comes hot and fresh. Parking not easy though. Gets packed
Wonderful venue! We were thrilled to have our staff meeting here with an attentive team of servers. Delicious fare including shu mai, shrimp balls, sticky rice, and tarts for dessert. Outstanding chirsanthumum tea as well. We'll definitely be back! Happy New Year!!
Good quality food with fair prices. We ordered lobster noodles, roasted duck and daily special clam. Recommend lobster noodles and roasted duck. The duck is among the tier one ratings in the bay area, considering the price. Skins are crispy while meats are juicy. Service was also good. Staff members are friendly. The whole dining process is smooth.
We visited this restaurant for the first time for a family wedding… It was great to see how they transform this restaurants into a wedding venue . Good food and good service …
The diem sum is deliously made such that the next day, a reheat is just like it was freshly steamed. The building is too small for all their customers. A regular lunch during the middle of any weekday is always crowded. Parking becomes a nightmare in the parking lot and the side streets. We've enjoyed this restaurant for many years.
This has been my San Jose aunt and uncle's favorite Chinese food restaurant. My husband and I were happy to visit again a couple weeks ago for a special seafood banquet celebrating the life of a good friend, amazing coach, and best family man. The staff was very efficient and professional; the food was freshly made and well-presented. We knew thw reception was going to be well-attended and we thought about not going, but we are very very glad we did out of respect and out of hunger! We were rewarded with reconnections with friends we hadn't seen in years as well as with wonderful authentic Chinese food.
The food was absolutely amazing. Everything we ordered was amazing. Service was fine. They definitely let you enjoy your space but we got our food right as it came out we didn't get anything cold.
This place is great! The food was very good, I love the art deco aesthetic it has, and the service was fine. Nothing exceptional, but I'm giving it 5 stars because we had a HUGE group reserved right at the beginning of dinner service (the place was pretty empty, but still), and yet they accommodated us with a smile.
The owner continues to change the ambience and savory food selections. Dimsum is quite popular, and I love the eggplant dishes. The menu is elaborate, well organized, and each dish is distinctive compared to most similar restaurants. Yes, you will pay a bit more, but every bite is delicious, high quality ingredients.
Loved the food &the service. Great for authentic dimsums in the bay area. The BBQ pork baked bun is a hot seller and runs out soon. The rest of the food is amazing too
The best dim sum in Cupertino. It can be hard to park but always worth the effort. The food is always really good. Great for families!
We initially planned to go elsewhere, but a long line led us to make a detour, and we're so glad we did. From the warm welcome by the friendly owner/waiter to the delicious recommendations from loyal customers, everything was perfect. The live fish, gai lan, and especially the kids' beloved light fried rice were all amazing, and the Cantonese barbecue platter with its crispy roast duck and tender cha siu was simply divine. The awesome ambiance topped off an already incredible meal and this restaurant is definitely a new favorite! Will definitely come back with my family for their dim sum and more!
Golden Palace restaurant ( 富華軒in Chinese) We went this dim sum place on Black Friday. The price is the same as regular weekday(cheaper than weekends). We arrived at 12:30 so no table available we waited about 15 mins which is not too bad. We order their signature $25 lobster fried noodle and other 9 dim sum dishes. All delicious and good value. Highly recommended!
As a native Cantonese, I really have to say it feels like at home cuz staff could speak Cantonese. We arrived at 12:15 and guess what, it was completely packed on Monday lunch time. We had to wait like a couple minutes before the waitress set the table ready. Most of the people here ordered dim sum and lobster noodles. Since this place is running a dim sum promotion at weekdays, no wonder to see a crowd of people dining here. My friend and I have ordered five plates of dim sum, a little bit much for two people and we ended up taking home. Honestly, I really like some of the dim sum we ordered like deep fried shrimp balls and siu mai. Compared to some of the restaurants, I would prefer dim sum here. Not only the flavor, but also the price. BTW, one of the waitresses with a pair of glasses is pretty friendly speaking Cantonese. Yes, I would definitely come back soon.
Weekdays dimsum on sale at a great price. The quality is good and food is fresh.
Enjoyed the food here. Definitely family style so it was a bit awkward since I came by myself and had a crazy amount of leftovers. I actually wanted to get dim sum but I didn't realize their dim sum is only for lunch. I ended up ordering their regular dishes and they were still quite good. I really liked the pumpkin and fish salted egg yolk dish. Out of the appetizer sampler I liked the cha sui pork the most so next time I'd order that by itself. The xlb were just ok, they tend to stick to the metal. I liked the hot stone bowl fried rice. So if I came again for dinner I'd probably order the rice and pumpkin fish egg yolk dishes again. They were nice and gave me a free dessert at the end.
Delicious food, even got some dim sum items at dinner time. Waitress was extremely helpful and nice. Lots of variety on the menu, so many delicious choices.
The dim sum is great. Food came fast. The last 2 pics I took the pics after we started eating. Haha. There’s a $28 lobster with noodles, will try that next time. Pls note they have karts that sell dishes. So they will keep coming over. You can just say no. That’s the traditional dim sum restaurant way.
This restaurant accommodated our very large party and provided amazing service. Very happy with the food's taste and quality. Will definitely be making this restaurants part of my top pick for Chinese food when I return to Cupertino.
Came here on a recommendation. To my surprise the food was good. I order only a few dishes as I was the only one having dim sum. I order the pork ribs, egg tarts, durian puff and ham sui kok. All were hot, delicious and generous portions. My friend order the tomato beef chow mein HK style. This place makes me wish I live in Cupertino.
A hidden gem of Dim Sum restaurant! It provides very good dishes at a relatively reasonable price. Probably nowhere else to find a $33 lobster dish nowadays. Among the dim sums I love the 榴莲酥/Durian Puff the best! Also visited at the dinner time and it was also nice. Had a steamed whole fish.
What a great meal! We enjoyed their specialties together on the eve of Thanksgiving, including three ways to eat a crab. The food is full of color, fragrance and taste, to be honest! I haven't eaten such delicious food for a long time! The waiters are quick and can serve us tea and plates in time. Although the speed of serving is average, their polite service attitude makes us have nothing to say. Moreover, the environment here is clean, parking is convenient, and it is a recommended restaurant!
Our party organizer knows how to order dishes. So everything is delicious and the price is reasonable. The place is noisy and service is just at an average level. The parking was a real challenge.
Very busy place with a wide variety of food to choose from. Probably best that you know some level of Chinese before ordering something, as otherwise you'll be a bit stuck. If you're going during busy hours, bring a phone to do something on. Between getting your order and serving you is an awkwardly long wait - it's very busy. This restaurant is also incredibly small. It's got an L-shaped layout, but not a large waiting room. If you're claustrophobic or your introvert batteries are absolutely drained by being around lots of people talking loudly, you're better off waiting outside. At some point in time as well, I had to put in headphones. It's just too loud for a regular, meaningful conversation, although this sort of atmosphere is fairly normal for Chinese tea/dim sum restaurants that are like this. The talking coming from other tables can make some people feel shut down or not talkative. If you're that kind, you're better off getting takeaway Dim Sum from somewhere else. The food is great, but I can't make any recommendations since I was not ordering.
Came to Golden Palace for Chinese New Year's Eve dinner with the family and left satisfied with our food and dining experience! The atmosphere inside was full, bustling, and definitely busier than usual for a Friday night (we had eaten here multiple times before). The restaurant's is great for groups and has plenty of seating. Service was generally friendly and efficient. We were given a "Chef's Pick" New Year's menu, which had fewer items than the full menu, but a good selection nonetheless. We ordered three dishes--I found each to be flavorful, well-cooked, and generously portioned. The chinese broccoli with oyster sauce was wonderfully tender and seeped with flavor, even without the addition of sauce (which was served on the side). The tofu with vegetables was very tasty. The tofu was breaded and slightly crispy on the outside, and very soft on the inside. We also ordered the lobster yi noodles, which seemed like a popular choice for the night. While the lobster itself seems smaller than the previous times we'd ordered this dish, the meat was tender and fresh. The noodles were a good texture and had a springy quality to them. Overall, each dish seemed thoughtfully made and good value. Golden Palace shall remain on our list for a good Chinese restaurant in Cupertino!
Taste is good. Very crowded. Understaffed and slow in everything. $6 per item during workday is a good deal.
When the food is fresh and made the same day, it's pretty baller. Quite authentic. The last time I went, shrimp dumpling dim sum was clearly made the day before. It had congealed and didn't taste good. Too salty with some fish aftertaste. We brought up to the waitress and she was quite defensive about it so a few points off for that. We did get a fresh serving so it made up for it somewhat but the attitude was not good. Basically, if you can put up with the inconsistency in quality and service then it's actually a pretty good place to go eat.
Traditional neighborhood Chinese restaurant. Dim sum for lunch is on par with other restaurants. Friday and weekend are usually crowded. Service is acceptable, understaffed at front. Kitchen needs to be reminded if items are late. Food is good with reasonable prices.
Everything was great except the Ham Sui Gok, seems very empty inside. Not enough filling. All other dishes are fantastic.
The price for small, medium, and large dim sum are the same during Monday to Friday lunch hours. Definitely the best priced and quality dim sum in the area. A lot of old people dine here. It's gets busy near holidays and service and wait time could get rough. Update: price went up again. It takes forever to get food and the check. Eating three dim sum dishes took me an hour.... Recommend getting here super early.
This place has solid authentic Chinese food. The kind you could eat everyday and be happy. We’ve been here for both lunch and dinner and it never disappoints. Their menu is extensive and food is delivered quickly. I would recommend!
We've been here twice, once for lunch and once for dinner, and have been very impressed with the food on both occasions. They offer dim sum exclusively during lunch, while dinner features a menu of classic Cantonese dishes. The quality really shines through – you can tell they use fresh ingredients, and everything is well-seasoned and expertly cooked. A standout from our dinner was the steamed live red grouper; it was cooked to perfection and incredibly tender. During our lunch visit, the beef organ stew was a highlight – the organs were clearly fresh and stewed to a wonderful softness. The staff members are friendly and welcoming. However, it's worth noting that they seem quite understaffed during peak lunch times, so while the service is friendly, it might not be the speediest. Just set your expectations accordingly. The decor definitely has a nostalgic 2000s Hong Kong feel. A modern refresh would certainly elevate the dining experience. Overall, the excellent food is the main draw here, and it's more than enough reason for us to return many times.
We like to go to Fremont Pearl bay to yum cha ( Dim sum ) but it’s a bit far. This is a good yum cha restaurant close to us. The tables are running quickly and there is no need to wait. Food quality average, we love their pumpkin with Salted egg yolk !! service quick and friendly .
Came here for dimsum specials on weekdays. Prices are ok. Dimsums are ok. Foods are generally ok. In the past, their dishes tended to be overly seasoned (e.g. too salty). Have not tried their menu items lately so I can’t comment. Parking is not easy during lunch time. Had to park on street or other parking lots.
The food is great, we really enjoyed the lobster 🦞, roasted duck, BBQ Pork bun, daikon cake, pineapple bun, they are all good and delicious, traditional Cantonese style. Durian pasta was very good with lots of durian inside. But the service, hmm…maybe needs to be improved. They charged extra dish which we didn’t order, and they started cleaning our table while we were still enjoying the tea. The Sou Mei tea was very good!
Decent dim sum place but some dishes can be a bit too salty for some. Prices is decent, not so expensive. Currently they are running a promotion of spent $50 and get $25 coupons for future dinners discounts. Lobster noodles is $28/order. Two courses fish is $38. Pretty good! No wait for a table when we arrived 12:30pm on a Saturday. Tables are not so close to each other, so don’t feel cramped. Will go back and try dinner.
We like to come to Golden Palace (富華軒) to get their dim sum on weekday as they have specials of $4.39 for all L, M, S size of dim sum, and lobster noodle for $28. The food quality is pretty decent and portion size is good. Parking can be tight on weekend and you may need to park far away on the neighborhood streets.
I’ve always wanted to check out this place, and recently was able to twice! Parking is a bit crowded, but there is parking on the streets nearby too. Both times, I’ve been a part of larger dinner parties where we ordered their dinner packages, which were very good. The food here is Chinese cuisine that often reminds me of many similar restaurants in San Francisco that I grew up enjoying. You can’t go wrong with the quality of the food and it’s tastiness. Though the space is a bit dated in style, it is still relatively homely and clean. Their wait staff is helpful. I definitely recommend their dinner packages as it gives you quite a lot of tasty options.
Picked up dinner for the family. Was busy with takeout orders. We ordered our usual family menu. The Dim Sum was hot and soup was very pleasing. the Dumplings were a bit off in taste, maybe over cooked? Still not bad. Keep it up!
Chow main was fat noodles with a couple pieces of green onions chicken very bland beef fried rice wasn't to bad but the kicker was would you like Chinese beer regular 12oz bottle 9.95 each yeah probably won't go back not happy
The dim sum seems like manufactured in factories and being heat up in this restaurant
The food is good, lunch is a great value. But the last two times we visited this place, we have received rude and poor service from this one particular head waitress. We ask for hot water instead of tea (doctor wants me to limit caffeine intake) when we were seated, she acknowledged it. But she brought us tea anyway. We pour tea into our cups and realized she made a mistake. So we asked her politely to replace the tea with water. Her attitude became very rude and poured the tea back into the teapot while splashing all over the table without any apology. The rest of the staff members are friendly, but this lady makes me feel she is just unhappy with her job. This ruined our appetite all together.
Dim sum very mediocre. So disappointed. Now 6 months later, food improved! As a matter of fact, much, much better. Unfortunately, we were scouting for a place to bring guests to. WON'T be taking guests there until they re-carpet the place. Their carpets are disgusting!!! Looks like they have NEVER been cleaned. And the tables have NEVER been moved because the carpet under them is still brand new looking making a huge contrast to the traveled areas. UGH 😝😝😝
I ordered over $200 worth of food for a lunch party through the Uber Eats app for pickup. The app showed it was ready, but when I arrived, I had to wait at least 20 minutes before the host even had time to speak with me, only to say the order wasn’t ready. Meanwhile, my friends were waiting for me and the food, which made the delay even more frustrating. I then had to wait another 20 minutes in the car before finally getting the food. I recommend the restaurant add at least a 30-minute buffer after the app shows ‘ready’ to avoid long waits. Also, the parking lot is very small, and I couldn’t find parking easily. Overall, it was a very frustrating experience, and I’m not sure I’d go there again.
I thought the food for dinner was rather bland. I really liked their dim sum on previous occasions. Service was excellent!
The dim sum here is not bad and we enjoy our visits here because it's convenient and well priced. Staff are more welcoming during lunch service. My experience with the dinners are that the food is also ok but the service and clean up was rushed.
Affordable Chinese food, served quickly. The dishes are quite authentic, all the Cantonese favorites are on the menu. Try the chicken soup for starters. The vegetarian moo shu, fried shrimp basket, and chicken pot stickers are all great for entrée. The wait staff are very attentive, and happy to help.
Came in after 1 p.m. on a weekday and was sat fast and they brought out food fast because they were closing in an hour. Service was a missed about our food came out fast. No explanation of anything and there were 5 of us and when I asked for a lunch menu, they only brought out one. I was in the middle of ordering and the waiter just left. Portions were decent. Food was tasty but NOT CHEAP! Most dishes were $15 or more, excluding dim sum items. I think the worse part is their machines were down so they waited until we were done with our meal to tell us we had to pay in cash. Sufffice to say we are not returning.
This is my second time here pre-Covid and the food was delicious. Today however I can't say I agree, the chicken was very tough to cut apart with a spoon because they don't provide a knife, maybe the knife is a western thing. The dish I ordered typically HOT, well I got mine frozen cold. The service here is really bad, maybe because I'm not Asian, the table next to me the couple is Asian and their waiter stop by several times. the kitchen and wait staff is very loud. They didn't come back to check on me, except just to collect payment. It was a horrible experience, restaurants should take care if their customers because there is many choices where I could eat at.
Had a post-funeral lunch there. Chose the set menu heavily focused on seafood. About $600 per table. Food was below average. Roasted pork was chewy, not crispy on the appetizer platter. Fried shrimp balls didn't have a crab claw coming out of it but a portion of a crab leg. Taking the cheap way out. Salted egg lobster dish was mostly shell and very little meat. Snow peas on the snow peas and scallops stir fry were mushy. $600 is on the low end of the price spectrum for a seafood set menu, so I guess you get what you pay for.
Ordered takeout from Golden Palace. Was about $60. For the amount of food and quality, definitely not worth it. It's been awhile since I've gone into the actual store for dim sum. I would assume dim sum in-person should be pretty standard. Ordered salt and pepper spare ribs, sauteed string beans, and a salted egg yolk pumpkin I believe. Food was subpar. Not hot enough and after 10 min, it was pretty soggy. Small lot attached out front. Will maybe try their dim sum in-person, otherwise, stay away from their takeout.
Very difficult to park at the property during the lunch hour even on the weekends, the weekends will be even worse! The Dim Sun here are just mediocre. The sesame bun is the worst! Other dishes are average or below! Service also not good, no one walk by to check how is the food or change out the plates! Also very slow to collect the empty dishes or plates! Not recommended for sure!
Be careful with missing items but still get charged for them. Twice have we been at this restaurant for dim sum in the last few months. Both times there were items missing. The first time we got home and realized one of the items never came. I called the restaurant and was told to go back and they would give me the item. (Should have given me a refund!) Today, we went to have dim sum again. The restaurant was not very busy at all; there were many empty tables. (Strange for noon time on Saturday.) We ate and after we finished, the waitress brought the to-go boxes and the check. We doubled checked and noticed that one of the items was never served. I specifically told the waitress that we are done and don't want that item any more. She took the order list and ran off. I asked what's going on? She turned her head back and said if they steamed the item already she would bring the dish. What? We are already done. She came back in one minute and tossed that dish on our table. It wasn't even hot. I told her you should have cancelled the item. We are all done with eating. Of course she wasn't going to do that. Other reviewers have described similar situations so apparently this happens more often than a one-off case. Needless to say, we will not be going back to Golden Palace again. I think it is very short-sighted of the restaurant to handle the situation the way they did. We would have continued to patronize the business if they had handle the situation gracefully and correctly, which is to apologize for the missing item and remove it from the check. Instead, they made us pay for the item that they had forgotten. It was a $7 dish but they don't realize they lost an extended family of customers for life. Perhaps this explains why the restaurant was not even half full at noon time on a Saturday.
this is the their time i came hear can everyone i always feel force to give an tip and that pisses me because it’s the customers right to not give u a tip or give u a tip and u always have to be grateful if they give u a tip and if the customer give a small amount of an tip it’s ok just revive it and don’t nudge about a customer giving you a small amount of a tip on the other hand the customer is always right at an restaurant period blank period.
Terrible attitude. We forgot what we ordered and the waitress placed the wrong dish on our table. We didn’t know that it was not on our order. She realized it before we double checked our order and took it away. The dish was untouched. Then when she passed by she said “why didn’t you point it out earlier then” with a very unfriendly tone, acting like the reason we didn’t point it out was cuz we wanted the dish for free. It was her mistake to put the wrong dim sum dish on our table and when we explained it to her she was like oh it’s not a big deal why are you taking it so seriously? And it was her who made the mistake and had an attitude towards us first.
Came in waited 10 mins no one in line no one tried to help me out pour customer service maybe cuz I look Mexican
Waiter didn’t disclose the fish is not fresh, she highly recommended the red bass. When the fish came out, it was black and doesn’t look fresh at all! We tasted and it’s not. I called the waitress, she admitted that the fish is from frozen not live. But the order cleanly said it’s live fish. And they wanted to charge $28.99 per lb for a dead fish! The boss man showed up said this is what they charge and left without a sign of apology. The supervisor came to apologize and took it off from my order. Never go back again. They try to sale me a dead fish for $28.99 per lb.
I was told my order will be ready in 35 min. I ended up waiting for 1 hour and 6 minutes. The young man casher was rude when I asked about my order. I'd give a nagtive if I have a choice.
The beef we ordered smells bad and tastes like it's not fresh. The service is terrible; the staff completely ignore you. We asked them for utensils, but in the end, we had to get them ourselves.
We were ordering soup - asked the waitress - any seafood in wonton soup. No, when owner came to complete our order we reviewed each item and he said yes it has seafood, we then said we will order another soup. He said you have the following and listed two soups and we said cannot have that one because has seafood he said too bad you ordered it. We have been frequent good customers. He was not accommodating at all. Called him and he hung up on me. Interestingly enough the restaurant was half empty on Sunday night with only Chinese customers. Obviously he is not sensitive those with allergies nor caucasians.
*Unsanitary Restaurant* AVOID Golden Palace Restaurant at all Costs! Today is Thanksgiving evening and since there were not many Chinese restaurants open we thought we would try something new. Since they were busy (probably because most Chinese restaurants were not open) we parked in the back. I was a little shocked to see how dirty and unsanitary their kitchen looked (See picture attached). It actually grossed me out. I brushed it off trying to stay positive. We get in the restaurant and ordered food. We immediately noticed NONE of the employees looked happy and seemed VERY grumpy to the guests. Ok, I let that go too. First, they bring us water. I immediately noticed “something” was swimming in my water. I told them I didn’t want any of their water. Next they brought us the soup bowls and there I noticed a short black hair. Now I know it wasn’t mind or my friends’ hair because we both have blond hair. Once again we told them about that too. Our male waiter responded, “Sorry, we are busy”. I guess they were telling us that is their excuse for unsanitary glass of water and soup. So the soup comes, I noticed there was dried egg on the side of the bowl. The dried egg on the soup bowl was probably left by the previous customer. I told the staff about it. They just listened. I guess they didn’t know what to say. The soup was mediocre then shortly thereafter our meals came. The broccoli beef meal was so bad we could only eat a couple bites. The waiter came over and asked us how the meal was. We told him we did not like the broccoli and beef meal. We received our bill and told them since we didn’t eat the broccoli beef to take it off the bill. The cashier lady started to yell at us and told us we should have told her sooner. We told her we DID tell our male waiter and once again he IGNORED our response when we told him we didn’t like the broccoli beef meal. I think this restaurant should be shut down by the Santa Clara County Health Department. Oh, last but certainly not least, we found out AFTER the fact, we found out that Golden Palace Restaurant USES MSG!! This food is toxic and is an emotionally abusive place to eat. This is the first time I was there and certainly the last time I will be there.
We've been here many times for dim sum, but we were very disappointed with the entrées we tried today, they had very little meat and were full of bones. And one of the employees is pretty interesting. She usually says nothing when serving the food, but uses her hands to imply what we should do, like moving the plates and phones while the table is still empty enough
Be careful when you order dumplings, some of them are not cooked (check out my photos in the review). At first, we let them know the meat was not cooked, they did try to fix it by offering us a new tray, however, it's even worse - outside looks perfect but insides was raw pork...so disgusting. Well, make sure to open the dumplings before you eat. GL
Used to be regulars… but this place officially lost us. Found multiple wire scrubber fibers in our lobster noodles — yes, actual metal pieces. If we hadn’t caught them, it could’ve sent us to the ER. And the cherry on top? Fruit flies doing laps in every vinegar jar. For a place we used to love, this was honestly disgusting. Never again.
As a Cantonese, I very much disapprove this. Not to mention his food is not on par at, the shiu mai we ordered is raw. The pork base in there is raw. I was horrified. I am very prone to food poisoning, and pork food poisoning is the worst. I have attached a picture, it could be very disturbing, but you could see that the pork is still raw and translucent.
Disappointed with our visit today!!! We used to come here occasionally for dim sum, but things have really gone downhill. The food took a very long time to come out, and when the spicy beef tripe finally arrived, the daikon tasted sour — the staff took it off the menu. To make matters worse, one of the staff pushing the dim sum cart got visibly upset just because the order sheet wasn’t placed at the edge of the table. It felt unprofessional and uncomfortable. There was no manager on-site, and no one seemed available to address any concerns. If you want to keep customers coming back, it might be time to put some heart and care back into the service and food quality.
