Quality has improved over time and 3 rolls on the left of the photo will never let you down. Dinner specials are always amazing too.

Ordered the 3 peace bento box with teriyaki salmon and teriyaki chicken with the 3 shrimp balls. I have since visited this location 3 times in the last month. I would definitely recommend trying this place out. Wait time can vary depending on time of day.

First time back in a number of years. The food selection is fresh and delicious. My friend and I opted for the AYCE at lunch time.

Amazing service! I was with a party that could eat WAY more than me using the $30 all you can eat and there is a lot of sushi and even some rice and udon dishes you can order from it which is cool! They also have good sake and serve Sapporo beer which is great! I ordered a steak teriyaki that came with a soup, salad and rice, bento boxes and main Street shi dishes are also available. The soup tasted okay and probably was powder more than the real thing. The salad was pretty good too and has some crunch in the dressing, but be warned because it has nuts in them as you eat it. The meat was the best part, perfectly cooked medium rare with a sweet teriyaki sauce! The rice was pretty good too and nice to see two bowls of it, the rice was clumped well and is the same rice they use in their sushi, so everything was pretty clumped and ready to be picked by chopsticks. While my friends just got over 8 rounds of different sushi ranging from California rolls to dragon rolls and crispy tempura rolls, as well as sashimi it's no wonder why my friend wanted to pick this place and eat all you can eat. When you order 1 plate, be ready, and it helps to have 10 other people to share because they give you a lot, the same amount we shared with 10 people also was shown to a table of 4 next to us, oh my! All in all, the servers are friendly and willing to help you whether to pick all you can eat or something from the main menu, because you either all in or just for dinner, like me and 1 other in a party of 14. Special thanks to Alice for helping us on Friday night!

I've visited Kenzo Sushi a few times, and it never disappoints! The food is consistently good, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options. The service is really top-notch; the staff are friendly and attentive, making every visit a pleasant experience. I just love the place and always look forward to coming back. Highly recommend Kenzo Sushi for anyone looking for a great all-you-can-eat sushi experience!

Amazing sushi and some korean food! The cool robot never served us but the humans were very nice too! Loved the videos of hawaii on the screens around in the restaurant too!🍣🍱 Note, the nigiris cost extra!

The food was great for the prices and options. The service was almost instantaneous from their online menu giving you the option to call then from there if you’re the shy type. Solid 4.5 star restaurant imo

I really love AYCE places, especially sushi. This place is a little pricey, but worth it for a special occasion. I usually stick to the premium AYCE so I can get a bunch of nigiri. Their baked rolls are phenomenal. My only complaint is sometimes the food comes out extremely slowly. Once, it took so long for our first order to come out, we put in a second order as well because we were running out of time. Both orders came out together after about an hour total of waiting.

Always fresh and tasty. I have tried Fuji Mountain rolls (in picture), Shrimp Ball, Gyoza fried and many other items.

Went to go for a friend's birthday and it a perfect spot for a large group whose like sushi, the rules are you can order rolls of sushi for reach round (they said there 5 rounds but my group only finished 2) there really strict about wasting so you need to finish everything you order or you will get charged. The rolls are really good and flavorful. I really enjoyed the heart attack roll and the super Mexican roll (both spicy but delicious) the only thing I recommend is if you go on a weekend be prepared as there only so much of the waiters/waitress, so be prepared to come in and wait. Otherwise I had a great experience.

You won't be disappointed. Just don't over order. They are very keen on not taking away your plate even if you only have one piece left on it.

Stopped by here to grab a quick lunch before the rest of work. I ordered a 3 piece crab and 3 piece tuna sashimi, and the jalapeño poppers. The portions are quite large! What I thought would just leave me light me up ended up making me feel stuffed! This is a really nice environment. It will be a regular go to whenever im in San Jose!

Great place! ...just wish the wait wasn't so long (but to be expected with most great places). The service here was amazing though... We will be back.

N

Amazing food. Fresh made rolls, no food sitting out like most all you can eat style. They only serve enough people at a time to make it great service. Sooooo going back!

N
Nora Ismail

The sushi is awesome. We ordered the spicy lion King roll, the 49er, spicy California roll, spider roll, and other good ones. I can't recall the names. Sometimes, I dine in and order from the all-you-can-eat menu. All of their food is good. I come here often. The chairs are uncomfortable to sit in because I have always disability where I can't sit for too long. I wish they had comfortable seats, but then people might stay too long and keep ordering off of the all-you-can-eat menu. I try to remember to take pictures of my food before I eat, but I'm usually ravenous and eat it first. The food looks visually appealing here, and the taste is great.

Love me tender 💥 best roll on the menu. Also, highly recommended the Alaskan Roll( but didnt get any pictures beforehand because I was starving and it was devoured) 🤤 customer service was great! Definitley can get more than the $30 entry's worth when coming in on an empty stomache😜

This place is known for their AYCE. Most places that offer this, are usually buffet style. However, kenzo makes their rolls and dishes fresh to order. The food is always fresh and flavor is consistent. I love bringing friends and family here bc you get so much for what you pay for.

Got the all you can eat and the sushi was great, service was pretty good.

We had dinner for four of us last night. We had the regular AYCE, which excludes Nigiri. Once seated, you order with your phone, max of 3 orders per person at a time. (More than enough food per order) The rolls were really good, and came out quickly from the kitchen. We had hand rolls too, which were also good. The staff was excellent at explaining the process, checking in on us, and refilling our drinks. We will go back in the future.

J

Very well paced and lovely AYCE sushi place! For the amount of food my partner and I got (totaling about $200 dollars if a la carte) we paid about 83 excluding tax. The fish was very fresh and the portions VERY generous. Get one or two rolls then wait a little for more. It’ll be more than you think.

We love coming to this spot for their all-you-can-eat sushi! The service is always top-notch, and the sushi is consistently fresh and delicious. The quality is excellent, and we've never been disappointed. It's become our go-to place for sushi, and we always leave happy and satisfied. Highly recommend for sushi lovers!

Came here for AYCE sushi, which seems to be nonexistent anywhere else in the South Bay after the pandemic. We got the premium dinner tier for $40/person. Huge pieces, definitely hit the spot.

Fresh and delicious as always! Mango crunch roll is the best, the Kenzo roll has a nice little kick to it and the wait was not bad. Definitely worth the drive from Manteca

12/17/21 indoor dining available. Many different types of sushi. There is all you can eat. Did not find sashimi. They charge for left over. It would be nicer to have smaller rolls to taste different varieties. Too much rice and vegetables in rolls.

For everyone that is commenting about the roach infestation. I would like to comment that I live nearby and walk in this area at night and I have to say it’s not just this restaurant or establishment that is infested with roaches. It’s the whole block as well as across at Jack in The Box, Michaels and other places. There are countless roaches in that area so THIS ISSUE IS BIGGER than the restaurant itself. THIS IS A CITY ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE DEALT WITH. Within a whole mile of this RESTAURANT it’s infested.

Local and reasonable prices. One of my favorite sushi places and a local favorite. They will have a wait time, due to popular demand, but it is worth the wait. Sushi is delicious, so are the desserts.

All you can eat sushi is so worth it! $25 is per person. You can order 5 times in 2 hours and what you don’t eat you have to pay. We loved this sushi, they are so fast in delivering, the restaurant was full and we got our food very fast!

The best Sushi in all of the Bay Area for AYCE. Love the nigiri , rolls were awesome, the mussles were one of my favs, and the vibes were casual. Shame it was shut down, I genuinely hope they come back. The person that snitched ngl should be ashamed, probably made a couple people homeless, and struggling to find a job in this market. Idc if it was "dirty" i would eat it off the floor if i could. If anyone knows any updates if Kenzos is coming back please reply.

The GOATed ayce sushi place in San Jose! This is our go-to spot, and we called in advance to make sure they were reopen. They have some new menus like Kimbap but all their sushis and rolls are very fresh and tasty. The service was very attentive as well! Highly encourage to visit

The sushi here is SO good! Everything is very fresh. Actually, all the dishes were REALLY good. Staff was very friendly, professional, and I really appreciated how timely they were with check-ins, to see if we needed anything 😁 Mobile ordering makes it easy too. And the atmosphere is such a nice chill vibe. Had to add this place to my Faves, whenever I'm back in the area again!

Great all-you-can-eat sushi spot! The food is fresh, tasty, and there’s a good variety to choose from. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. The interior is pretty basic, but honestly, it doesn’t matter the quality of the food is what counts, and it delivers. Definitely worth visiting if you’re a sushi lover!

I was very impressed by the $39.99 AYCE at Kenzo Sushi, and I think it's the best in the Bay Area. (IMO better than Ultra Sushi, Sushi 85, and Daiki Sushi.) I think the only one that is close is Ultra Sushi, and I think this place is better because: 1. You can order as much as you want as frequently as you want 2. The service is much better 3. There is a wider variety of rolls 4. Much wider variety of sides. Kenzo offers a ton of delicious rolls, hand rolls, nigiri (if you get premium), and sides. Now normally, I don't really eat many sides at AYCE sushi places, but this place has so many good Korean ones (fried chicken, tofu soup, tteokbukki, Korean corn dogs). I think the variety is so nice when you get tired of eating just sushi. The rolls are top-notch and there are so many that do not have any imitation crab, which I think is great. (I don't like how for most AYCE sushi places, all rolls are stuffed with imitation crab.) The sushi cuts are generous, and the tuna is the best tuna I've had in an AYCE place in the bay area. (Not dry and has flavor) Highly recommend this place, as an AYCE sushi lover!

Came here for lunch for the first time in a decade. Food was still just as good as I remember! Quality fish and tasty flavor combinations. Hand roll was a little loose but still tasted amazing. Service felt a bit slow though, not sure if they were understaffed that day? Atmosphere was on. TV screen with Kpop music videos and completely different Kpop music playing so that was kind of weird. Not as good a vibe as I remember from the past, but it was ok. Came here for the food anyway, which did not disappoint, so I'll be back again someday!

We ate here for Friday lunch and selected the premium option. The nigiri was really good, decent amount of fish and less rice than sushi. We mostly order nigiri. We got some side dishes but nothing stood out. Since we paid the dinner price, we were able to order items that were only available at dinner. I think it's worth it if you can eat a lot. Service was good as well.

Kenzo is the AYCE sushi restaurant my husband and I eat whenever we visit our family in SJ. The prices are average for a sushi AYCE and you order through the online QR code. They have take out too if you want to just take food home. Their menu have expanded a lot so there's something for everyone here.

Kendo Sushinos fantastic and I can’t wait to go back. Talk about an amazing all you can eat sushi joint. We had the $50 per person package and it was worth it, plus they give you a two hour time limit. We of course didn’t hang out that long but wow that’s a long time to eat. Staff were all super friendly and plenty of seating.

Been going here for years, decided to stop by for the first time since Covid. It has changed a lot on the interior but dare I say it, the quality is better than before. We did the ayce but could only survive the first rough with appetizers. The fish were fresh and appetizers were great. For an ayce the rolls were fresh. The service was fast and attentive. Rolls came out in minutes as you order from the QR code. I will definitely come again. Now time to collect my free ice cream!

I love that the all-you-can-eat provided an affordable option for customers to access a greater variety of sushi dishes at an affordable price. The sushi was also good, and the staff helpful. Mind you, you will get very full after eating out the all-you-can-eat, and you might have to pay for any leftovers, so try your best to eat them all. Of course, in the event when you do have to take leftovers, the price can be quite low, provided you eat the majority of the roll.

This place is somewhere me and my boyfriend always go back to. Is it the fanciest or nicest place to get your sushi? Probably not. BUT they are pretty consistent, their rice to fish ratio on their nigiri is pretty great, their fish is fresh, and we find ourselves craving their mango crunch at least once a month. One of the better AYCE you can get at this price range ($35-40 per person).

Arrived during lunch time around 3:30pm, not that many people. Quick service- ordered the mango crunch roll. The roll was a large portion with tasty flavors of spice, sweetness, and umami. The food was great, staff was polite and prompt, the robot waiter was weird. The method for ordering was innovative and efficient. I would recommend this place for sure. Not a fan of the rule where you have to finish everything you ordered or pay extra. I would understand if there were more than one roll, the equivalent of that, or a large amount. But with sushi being novel to many it's reasonable to assume that they may not actually enjoy something they wanted to try, or whatever the reason. There should be flexibility

Was my first time dinning in this restaurant. Services is good, you have two option a la Carte or all you can eat sushi. The menu have a lot of option. And price are similar to most of the sushi restaurants. Quality ah...... is not the best, is not bad something between. Maybe I ll give it another chance to see if was the day or it is a normal quality. Dont forget to take the candy in the host/cashier station is really good.

G
Gary Lee

We are a lot! Sushi is fresh and made to order. The one bad thing with this place is. If you want to eat the All you can eat plan. Your whole table has to order the same thing. Otherwise it’s a decent place. Definitely better prior to COVID but almost everything was.

Went in around 3pm on a tuesday, plenty of parking in a free parking lot Food was excellent esepcially considering it's all you can eat. The variety was great too from japanese food selections to korean food. I ordered a special roll and a hand roll versions of the Mango Crunch which had spicy crab, salmon, avocado, tempura bits, mango and topped with unagi sauce and spicy mayo. Also ordered some soy garlic Korean fried chicken, and a Korean hotdog with crispy potato and mozzarella cheese filling. Service was a slight mixed bag, the staff were pleasant and helpful however it took awhile for orders to arrive after ordering via qr code link Atmosphere was great for group gatherings and loud discussions and the place was clean.

Everything is great because now they have a “robot” that brings you your food. Lol. The food came out hot and fresh. The all you can eat buffet is definitely worth it if you are a foodie. Also, the server that was working was so friendly and helpful. He kept coming over to check on us. Plus, he was so sweet to our baby. They have free parking, high chairs, and bathrooms.

This is the first time I’ve experienced an all you can eat sushi bufet. I learned that regular sushi is much more enjoyable. Yes it is more affordable but sushi is meant to be eaten in small portions. It is very caloric and filling. The reason I’m giving it 4 stars is because everything that was fried in the sushi (tempura, salmon skin etc) was excessively oily. We also tried two Korean corn dogs and they were very different- the first had mozzarella cheese and a tiny Korean wiener while the second had cheddar, mozarella and the even smaller wiener but all coated in sugar - not tasty at all.

Vivian Lee

Decent food, decent service. Short list of fish compared to other places I’ve been to. Quality won’t be as good in comparison to some other places; it will be cheaper in LA or Sacramento. But hits the AYCE sushi spot !

Food was good. The service was slow. I went for lunch at 1pm and it took a while to get served. I had to ask for utensils. The Bento box was a good size for the price. Utensils were all plastic, and felt cheap. Even the spoon for the Miso soup wants the usual big spoon but a cheap plastic normal spoon. The service was for four people scattered so between the first and last there were 5 minutes. No big deal but few things that reduce the overall experience. When it was time to leave, I had to search for someone to pay. Service was done half with a human and half with a cool little robot who navigated the floor.

Okay, first of all, the “fresh” oysters were TERRIBLE!!! They were not fresh at all, very fishy taste, I almost threw up after eating them. Other foods were great though. Recommendations include sashimi salad and the baked bay dish (scallops on top of cal roll). All in all, you don’t need the premium AYCE option, the standard one is good enough.

We brought pur whole family and did the all you can eat. The menu is on your phone, which made ordering for a large table a bit time-consuming since you can only order from 1 phone for the table. The food came out on a robot waiter, which the food came out at different times with no communication on when we could expect the rest of our order. The waiter that was helping our table was very attentive yet busy and he provided great service when he was available. The place was over very busy. The waiting area was overflowing into the dining area. This is a popular place, I usually see a line out the door on weekends. Overall, the food was good and it was a unique experience.

J
Jeffrey Whitehead

It's a decent value, and it's all you can eat, but it's not exactly high quality sushi. My complaints would be that the rice is odd, the udon (and lots of things actually) were unusually sweet and not to my taste. I only had 3 rounds. 4 pieces (2 orders) of sake nigiri- didn't want more. The spicy tuna hand roll was the best thing.

A
Alexander Gama

Kenzo Sushi is an all you can eat option but you can order individually off there menu. I gave it three Stars cuz the Sushi was not that fresh or maybe cuz they place cold sushi fish and rolls next to hot rolls.

M

(6 years ago) Arrived after 5pm on a Friday and there were several groups waiting, but the friendly, helpful staff run a very efficient place so the wait wasn't too bad. On the ayce menu there are no limits on how many items even of the same kind you can get, which I prefer, however whatever you can't finish, you will be charged. The rice for the sushi was better that at other ayce places, but it seemed a bit mushy. We had 20 orders of decent sushi, side orders of good chicken teriyaki served on rice, ok salmon skin hand rolls, and 4 bowls of nice miso soup. I'd like to come back and try the regular menu when not so hungry. Update 6 years later, 2024 Won't be eating here because staff informed me they no longer serve ikura. I was surprised and very disappointed. Update 6/25 I checked with the restaurant to see if they have ikura. They told me they have it on the menu but not with the all you can eat option.

The best deal they have right now is ayce oyster with premium price. However, they don’t have sashimi options. The nigiri had a lot of rice, so you get full pretty quick. Also their rolls had a lot of rice. For regular lunch, you pay a very affordable price. The squid legs were good. Service was fast. You ordered through your phone, very convenient.

Rip Kenzo... Closed down to infestation. I didn't know the ramen place next door had the same owners. There was a news article talking about why they shut down. I doubt the restaurant will recover from that. They will need either New owners or rebranding. I doubt I'll go back here even if they reopen. Unfortunately it was poorly managed. Sad. This place used to be a hot spot.

I recently visited Kenzo Sushi in San Jose, and overall, it was an okay experience. The service was nice—staff were friendly and attentive, which I really appreciated. The food, however, was just okay. It wasn’t the freshest sushi I’ve had, and that was a bit disappointing. The flavors were fine, but nothing really stood out. That said, for the price, it’s still a decent option if you’re looking for something affordable and quick. If you’re not expecting top-notch quality, Kenzo Sushi is good for what it is. I’d give them 3 stars

Attentive and friendly staff. Good for groups and families. Baked and fried sides were flavorful but a little tough Some of the fried sides were lightly seasoned as expected of tempura, but tasted like they'd be fried long ago and reheated in an oven or had been sitting under a heat lamp too long. Nigiri was not notable. High rice to fish ratio with exceedingly average fish quality. Typical of what you would find in a grocery store sushi bar. Rolls and handrolls also were not notable. Again had high rice to fish ratio, with average fish. The rolls were not great and sheer quantity of California roll filling overpowered the taste of the fish. Impressions: $28/person for weekend dinner means that it's worth to visit if you're in the area and want to eat in a group with friends, but would not return.

We came here for lunch late one Sunday afternoon. There was a bit of a wait. It seems Kenzo draws quite a crowd for their all you can eat sushi, which is $28, a pretty reasonable price. $4.95 Mushroom Balls - 4 baked spicy tuna and cream cheese in button mushrooms: Wrapped in foil, these little balls are quite heavy. Cream cheese, tuna, and mushrooms wouldn't be my combination of choice. I didn't love them, but if you're in the mood for something creamy with a meaty bite to it, these would do the trick. $15.95 Nigiri Comb, includes tuna, salmon, mackerel, squid, eel, etc: The fish had smooth buttery texture, better than most run-of-the-mill sushi places that sometimes have stringy fish. Bentos w/ miso soup, salad, rice, 4 pcs. California roll: These bentos are of good value. $10.95 2-item Bento w/ Sashimi (2 pcs. tuna, 3 pcs. salmon) & Chicken Karaage: The chicken was not bad, and they definitely didn't skimp on the portions. $12.95 3-item Bento w/ Beef Teriyaki, Sashimi, Udon: For a 3-item bento with udon, the udon bowl was very substantial. Other than that, it is just a bowl of udon noodle soup. The beef teriyaki, on the other hand, was overcooked, and had a bit too much of a charred taste. Everything tasted alright and the prices are good. I wonder what the quality of the sushi is from the all you can eat menu, however it appears that sashimi is not on the AYCE menu, so that is kind of a dealbreaker for me.

For the longest time this used to be my favorite place to come for family gatherings, birthdays, etc. than about 2 years ago the place went down. The counter where I like to sit got so dirty, service became weirdly bad, bathrooms were awful. Today it is way cleaner but not as it used to be. Service was great. The menu has changed. Items in the hand rolls has too much rice in them. Some menu items claiming to be “spicy” but are more “salty”. So far I say it’s ok. I visited the place on a Wednesday afternoon around 2.30pm. and it was tolerable. I truly hope this place can pick up its glory when it first opened its doors years ago.

We ordered Saba and the Wonder Woman roll, since I'm a big fan of eel. Also, the Shrimp tempura and Salmon Teriyaki dinner plate. First time ordering from Kenzo and it fresh and delicious, except for the salmon. It was very dry. It had deep grill marks, which probably caused it to be overcooked. Or they could have just reheated it. However, the portions are compatible with other Japanese restaurants in the area. Not sure if would be returning.

I was really looking forward to trying this all-you-can-eat sushi place, but unfortunately, it did not live up to expectations. The quality of the fish was subpar—some pieces tasted off, and the texture wasn’t fresh. The rolls were poorly made, falling apart easily, and lacked flavor. Even the rice was disappointing, which is a crucial part of good sushi. Service was decent, but it didn’t make up for the food quality. For the price, I expected much better. Sadly, I won’t be returning.

Usually the place is decent for an AYCE spot. Today the rice was definitely without seasoning. Also it had a mushy texture. I have been here many times and they usually are pretty laid back. Today the server, was reminding everyone that if you leave anything you get charged. It was kinda awkward the way he said it. Most people paying $50 for lunch are not gonna sweat another $5-$10 if that's how you want to play it. At the end of the day it's you're tip. I would come back, I hope next time the rice is good and the server isn't sweating a few pieces of rice left on the plate, because the rice was pretty bad 1/10.

AYCE is not all that worth it unless you are really hungry. The sushi rolls are filled with mostly rice and you will get full from just 1 roll. The sides are okay but wish the sushi itself came with less rice. We took some food to go because we did not expect to get full from only 2 rolls. Will not be back again.

They removed All you can Eat and it was the only thing going for them. After driving by you can see they blocked out the lettering. UPDATE: This place just isn't the same anymore from before Covid. They are filling up the rolls from AYCE with so much rice even in the middle. It's ridiculous to spend that much for it to all be mostly rice. The service was good nothing crazy but I was just happy. They kept coming back to refill our waters and to ask how things were the ambience of the place isn't anything special. The place is over priced since they are packing it with rice and it’s ridiculous that they have two different types of AYCE. They are price gouging at this point…. It’s unfortunate since this used to be a really good spot.

Stay far far away from the AYCE. We used to come here pre-pandemic and it was the best all you can eat sushi you could get in the bay. The proportions of rice, fish, and other ingredients were amazing back then. Now they have decided to go the route of other all you can eat places and add a TON (emphasis on TON) of rice and crab Mayo. Each roll has enough rice and crab Mayo for two rolls or more. The rolls came out looking like a mountain of rice and tasted as bland as it looked. The nigiri was a bit more reasonable but it definitely is not worth the AYCE price.

H
Harshal Ramtekkar

We had ayce. Not the best quality for the price. Unless you want to eat lot of rice. The sushi are also losely made. Only miso soup and house salad. Very less option on side. Wasabi looked like kids crayon green color. The ambience was very poor. The floor roof lights cleanliness all are cheap and unimpressive. I saw people returning plates even for al Carte menu. $40 each for ayce lunch hour plus tax. For the quality of food and ambience my recommendation is NO NO NO

Went with the All You Can Eat (AYCE) dinner. They get you with gargantuan rolls of rice and fake crab and mayo with very little of what fish should be in it. Ordered shrimp balls and 3 BIG fried balls of guess what came?... fake crab and mayo with a sliver of shrimp. Comforted ourselves with baked mussels and fried oysters. Not going to recommend.

Luis Mendez-Stacker

Our server was extremely nice and kind. The atmosphere is what you can expect from an AYCE sushi place but a little bit more on the downside. The sushi was mediocre but I guess good enough if you don’t care about the quality and instead are focusing on the quantity. The miso soup was extremely salty and tasted like metal. The Chicken Katsu was also horrid and extremely dry while tasting like rubber. The Katsu sauce wasn’t better nor what you would expect. Both were awful. Most likely never coming back here but it’s not because of the service rather the lack of quality in the food.

Went on a busy night for the first time ever since my husband insisted we went he’s came her various time with coworkers. We waited patiently didn’t have an issue with the wait. When we were finally seated we placed the orders and waited, all the people seated after us began to get served and were already on 3rd plus round of sushi and we had yet to receive our order, we asked 3 different waiters in multiple occasions and were told they were working on it to please be patient. 45 minutes later no food just water. We decided to leave after waiting an hour to be seated and almost an hour for food, we approached the host to let her know we never got served as well and would just be heading out all staff was very passive about the situation and just told us “sorry” not even an attempt to make it right. NEVER returning.

Yikes! Be wary of this place. 62/100 on their latest health inspection September 19 2025. Very low rating from a place that I would expect sushi-grade food from.

C
Crystian Gaeta

I love sushi, sushi is the best food in the world. But this place has the worst sushi I’ve have ever had, absolutely NO FLAVOR. We tried all sorts of different sushi’s such as the tempura rolls, baked rolls, etc everything bland. The sauces that came on all the sushi’s completely watery flavorless. The baked rolls just a mass of bland, I ordered what I know to be the wet dream four pieces of baked sushi with scallop on top, well in this restaurant they just threw a hundred scallops hoping one of them would be good. Cheap gimmick of having robots deliver food, possibly to try to distract you from how bad the food is. You can smell the terrible bathroom throughout the restaurant. So unfortunate, there are so few all you can eat sushi restaurants in San Jose but this place is not worth it at all.

Today I ordered basic California roll with extra ginger and soy sauce, I got neither. Service was poor and very dirty atmosphere.

This place looks shady, first impressions but we decided to give it the benefit of the doubt because of the reviews. As soon as we walk in it smells horrible like a public restroom. My husband wanted to have the buffet and our kids and I wanted to order a regular meal. They do not let you do that. Your whole party has to order buffet even your kids. They wanted to charge us buffet for a 2 and 3 year old. That’s insane. We walked out. Never giving this place a second thought.

C

Just look at the sushi picture from pre Covid to the the one now, it looks like Kenzo got Covid and put on a few more pound of rice on everything. Used to to a regular here, but it’s not been the same.

This place had major health violations? Dead coach roaches on the floor, food left at room temperature allegedly. Ewwwwwww the news station exposed y’all, and it is disgusting. For a place that handles RAW fish? Why would you not have sanitary as the top concern????

J

Cockroach sushi? Check out the reviews with photo of the roach inside the sushi and roaches crawling across tables. Might as well serve fresh roach sushi.

Sushi. I went in with my son, and even though there were plenty of open tables, the staff refused to seat us together because of their “policy.” It made no sense and felt unnecessarily rigid and unwelcoming. It was upsetting to be turned away when all we wanted was to share a meal together. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who values basic hospitality.

D

Avoid at any cost even if they offer free sushi , most disturbing sushi , whole dinner ended up in the trash Been getting really bad deliveries from them before , and quality been down hill but to send this type of food/sushi for people to eat is extremely disrespectful

UPDATE: Came this Sunday, but seems like this place is now closed without any notice :( Best "all you can eat" sushi in Bay area! Everything is made for you (no pre-made sushi). Decent prices ($26 per person on weekends) and you can get unlimited Nigiri, not just rolls.

T
Trang Thu

I would say unless you like to eat your sushi with lots lots of rice and mostly imitation crab, don't do All-you-can-eat here. Can't remember exactly but for a weekend dinner adult about ~$35, 10 year old kid ~$25+, and 7 year old ~$19+.That was just regular AYCE, for premium you pay $5 addition that will include the two pieces sushi Nigiri style... My kids love sushi but they didn't like it here. Their unagi hand roll had too much tiny bones, they can not finish that one roll. And even hand roll has way too much rice. Other rolls have even more rice and barely any meat. Their side dish like fried calamari, fried oyster... were not good either, thick bread outside, and the inside stuffs did not taste fresh. We were thinking of being able to try different kind of sushi, a few small pieces of different rolls, but that wasn't the case because each roll is huge, and it took forever to come out. Their salad and miso soup were good though...

I had a truly unpleasant experience at this all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant. While the service was decent, I was absolutely appalled to find a cockroach in the sushi that was served to me. It completely ruined my appetite and left me disgusted. Hygiene and food quality should be the top priorities for any restaurant, and this place failed miserably in that regard. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I used to enjoy this place until a few weeks ago when local news outlets broke this news: Inspectors performed a routine inspection Sept. 19 at Kenzo Sushi on Snell Avenue and issued a conditional pass after observing dead cockroaches in a sticky trap near the sushi prep area, the county’s Department of Environmental Health reported. Follow-up inspections prompt closure What we know: Inspectors returned for follow-up checks last Wednesday and Friday. During the latest visit, they found live cockroaches on walls and floors and dead cockroaches near the grill. In the prior inspection, inspectors also found live cockroaches in the floor tiles, along with improper food storage. The discovery led officials to immediately shut down the restaurant.

My family and I came in for the All You Can Eat sushi. I am pregnant and HUNGRY. Our daughter didn’t want the AYCE as she is young and knew she wouldn’t be able to eat enough to be worth spending 40. We were told if we wanted to sit together, we all had to order the AYCE. Okay, understandable. So we did that. Then we sit down and are given a paper with instructions. We put an order in through our phone, and wait. 30 minutes goes by and only our drinks are out. Another 10, my boyfriend and daughter’s food is out. Mine is no where to be seen. Was a little upset, as I am again, pregnant and very hungry. Thought, hm let me just put another order in through my phone, that must’ve been a fluke. In this time no waiter has checked in with us to make sure everything is coming out fine. Another 15 minutes goes, and my food is still not out. At this point my family has put in their 2nd order. They aren’t receiving any food either. We had to flag a waiter down to manually put in our orders. We were only able to order 1/2 times in the timeframe allotted for the AYCE. We were told there was a “system malfunction” that wasn’t putting orders in. We were not offered a discount or anything to resolve the fact we were not able to order, and paid 140 dollars to order drinks, soup, and a roll each (minus my daughter who had a Korean corn dog). Super disappointing.
