Funky real deal Indian food!!! Veggie Korma is amazing. Best Indian food in San Jose. I like to order take out in person and walk around the neighborhood while I wait.
This is my absolute favorite Indian restaurant of all time. I lived in San Jose for about a year and frequented this restaurant with my roommate. The tikka masala, butter chicken, lamb pasanda, and lamb biryani are incredible and usually what I ordered. Best garlic naan I have had as well. Combined with extremely fair pricing (especially for the bay), I would recommend this place to anyone. Ordering as takeout is still good, but it doesn't hold a candle to the in-person quality. Thank you to Raj and the rest of the team there for making my time in SJ just a little bit more flavorful
A lovely local Indian place. It feels very homey and the man who takes your order is really nice. Love the naan + paneer Tikka masala. They have indoor and outdoor seating and there's normally at least one other customer there. Good vibes.
Food is exceptional. Smallish seating area, and went on a Friday night when they, were experiencing a very high volume of to go orders. As a result, service was not optimal. I'll try on a weeknight to see if service improves.
This is one of the best Indian restaurants in San Jose. It's very unassuming extremely friendly and their food is
Walk in orders to go are swift and lovingly attentive. Plenty of indoor/outside tables for the amount of space they work with. Parking is limited, but iv never seen it crowded, so give them a try!
A gem hidden in plain sight. This is one of those places that could end up on TV for being WAY better than it looks on the outside. The location is humble: small, dated, the bathroom is outside and around the corner, but the food is awesome! Flavorful, just the right amount of spice on the currys, and always fresh. The staff greet you with a warm hello and act like they've known your for years even on your first visit.
Best vegetable kofta I’ve ever had! Will definitely come back and try other dishes :)
This is one of the places that I would 100% say is great food. Like there are restaurants that my reaction is "Yeah that's fine, it's food. I'll eat it, it's fine/good". However, this place was like, "Wow, this is actually fantastic! This is so good that I just want to keep eating, but I'm so full. I'll come back some other time." rather than just a "yeah it's good". Got the Chicken Saag meal which came with lentils, rice, and a yogurt sauce as well as subbing the naan with paneer naan. Asked for it "pretty spicy" and it was perfect, not too spicy and not mild. It checked off all the flavor notes to hit and was nice and smooth. The chicken was done to perfection, being very tender and moist, while giving me large chunks. Having all the food together was honestly a flavor bomb for me. GF got the Chicken Tikka Masala Meal at non-spicy. It had all the flavors she was looking for. The chicken was also done very well, as with the last dish. The Mango lassi was tasty and at a price of $2.50 that's hard to beat. The service was also so nice. All of this combined makes this place one of the places that I'll go to because I really enjoy it, rather than just because I want to scratch an Indian food itch.
I drive from Santa Cruz to eat here, small and quaint, the food here is absolutely amazing and the hosts who serve us are extremely friendly. 11/10 for this place, a full dinner feeds two easily for only $17!
Our first time trying Indian food . We were impressed by the amazing service and kindness of all the staff. Our host explained every dish and offered suggestions , which were delectable! All 3 dishes were finger licking good!
Loved the food, small place with great food ❣️
Their chicken biryani is really good. It was the right level of spices and was very flavorful. Being a regular patron of Indian restaurants in the Seattle area, I had the opportunity try their chicken biryani on a trip to the Bay Area. It has since become one of my favorites. 😋
This restaurant has become my comfort food since moving here. It's consistent and reasonably priced. It has never let me down
My absolute go to for authentic, spicy-flavorful local Indian cuisine. Dine in or dine out. Everything you order is a party in your mouth. Heavy on the spices and absolutely consistent. Coupled with excellent service, fast food prep, reasonably priced this gem is worth every calorie point folks!
We were looking for a Indian food place to eat and this was truly the best spot we could've picked the chicken Tikka masala was delicious there samosas were delightful and the sides were to die for these all came with generous portions at abl very affordable cost overall I would recommend and I definitely plan on coming back to this gem
Excellent authentic indian cuisine! The chicken korma was fantastic, and the naan has perfect texture and flavor.
GET THE BUTTER CHICKEN!!!!! More on that below, and then even more about it further down below. This place is an excellent spot that I've ordered pickup from on multiple occasions. Really friendly service, and excellent food. My go to favorites are the butter chicken (x2 and tomorrow you will be so thankful for leftovers), okra, and palak paneer. If you get a meal for one or two of the dishes you get naan, lentils, raita, and rice. Incredible deal. The garlic naan is particularly flavorful so treat yourself. I need to talk a little more about this butter chicken. Definitely the best I've had. They cook it in the tandoori oven so it gets a lovely aroma and color on it before they toss it in this incredibly decadent butter sauce. I literally drink it. Yes, I've put the to-go container up to my lips and taken a swig of that buttery nectar and I'm not ashamed. And then you get the bonus of fishing for little chicken treasures! Just a marvelous dish I regularly crave.
Awesome food. You will love Chicken Tikka Masala with Naan
Very underrated. Extremely tasty vegetarian food. Must visit.
Hands down the best indian food I've had. Good service an atmosphere.
Small, family run restaurant. They serve good Indian food with a smile. Portions are good and the full meal comes with rice and naan. I got the Malai Kofta. Very flavorful. Thanks guys and I will be back!
If Fast & Friendly was a resturant! Such delicious options and portions, friendly staff, and relatively quick!! Highly reccomend.

It was like four sweet Uncles handmade our lunch with loving care. Excellent food with that comfort-homemade vibe. Not Bay Area fancy/Instagrammy - but ACTUALLY GOOD FOOD! Naan is the best I've ever had and the chai is fantastically spicy and sweet. I'll be dreaming about it. Thanks so much!
I've been coming here my entire life, and the food has always been amazing. The staff are incredibly friendly and you don't feel rushed to leave your table.
Our favorite weeknight takeout spot! Will need to dine-in soon, but definitely a go to for quick service/pickup for phone orders. Their naan—specifically the Garlic naan is 11/10 also!!
Very tasty Indian food! We tried the mild lamb and chicken masala and both were excellent. The staff was also incredibly friendly and nice. Highly recommend!
I stopped by for a quick dinner on the way to the airport. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious.
This place consistently puts out the best Indian food I have ever had in my life. We have always gotten take-out as we live just a few blocks away - food is always ready on time and hot. Our favorite thing is the Lamb Pasanda, followed by the Tikka Masala, but everything there has been phenomenal. Garlic naan is always fresh, samosas are tasty, chicken pakoda is excellent. The people that work there have always been very nice. This place is a testament not to judge a book by its cover, it doesn’t scream fancy, but it is DELICIOUS.

The food in this little hole in the wall on Willow, just after Walgreens, is excellent. Top notch sauces and curries, nan to die for. Whether you come for the delicious buffet on the weekdays or order from the menu, you will leave satisfied and amazed at the fair prices paid. The decor ...and atmosphere need some work, but the food and service is 5 star quality. Might just be the best Indian food in all of San Jose if not the Bay Area. I am not kidding. Try this place now.
The food was quite good. Especially liked the okra. However, the restaurant and bathroom are very dirty. Makes one concerned about the state of the kitchen…
My go to Indian takeouts, since there's no other Indian restaurant in one mile radius near me. My usual takeout are chicken tikka masala, fish masala, bhindi masala(okra), grilled chicken, and baingan(eggplant)bharta. There were days when the chicken tikka masala gravy is too watery and lack of color it used to be. The same situation with the eggplant masala, sometimes it lacked the taste it usually has. The grilled chicken sometimes was too dry. It's a hit or miss. I wish for more consistency. But still I do the takeout once a week for many years already. The online menu pricing is not updated, FYI.
This place was fantastic. First, the food: I went with my Punjabi in-laws and every dish ordered for our group of 6 was fantastic. Of particular note, the paneer tikka masala, the shrimp masala and what I can only describe as the best mango lassi I have had before. Oh and the naan was fantastic; even heated up as leftovers the following day it stood as a great example of naan. The service: this was a surprise delight, but our group had a small child with us, and by the end of our trip she clearly had charmed the older Indian grandfather-type who was our host. It felt less like going to a restaurant, and more like visiting with family. The physical atmosphere was ok. We sat inside, and it could use a remodel at some point. Will we return? Next time we are in the area definitely. The food was reeeeealllly good
We were unsure, but after reading reviews we decided to go. We sat in the car, after seeing All the people coming & going we decided to go in. With 6 people in our party, we ordered, anxiously awaiting our meal. The plates Full, colors & aromas, didn't know where to begin!!! We Were Pleased! Even the kids ate & Finished their food😊 Had food leftover to take home🤩🙂 We WILL be going Again!!! Thank You for Our Experience... 😊The Food was/is YUMMY!!🤗 Where does one post pictures??!!?...
Buffet is relatively inexpensive, great value for the money you pay. You will find quite a few choices in the buffet. Curries are tasty, specially goat curry. Naan is freshly made. It's a small place, so it can get busy during lunch. In spite of the you get personal attention. Great service and worth while visiting this place.
Someone recommended us to this place as we are new to San Jose. Service was great, amicable. Food was what was to be expected, no 'wow' factor albeit very good. Ordered a variety of items to morsel out - just a heads up, most items have spice. The vegetable samosa was good, cooked great with a crunchy shell but soft inside. The ground lamb kabob was a bit dry but overall okay. Rice and saag paneer were on point. Naan bread was a little dry with little taste of anything but flour. During covid, presentation of food is hard to distinguish but came in boxes and sealed containers to keep food warm.
Had Vegetable Malai kofta. Naan and rice are complimentary. Taste of food is good. Will surely visit again

They only have daal as a side order- that was unremarkable. The other dishes had hints of flavours that needed a little bit more time developing. Tolerable if you haven't had Indian food in a very long time, but they could be so much better. They do have tandoori rotis if you ask.
Not many Indian restaurants in the neighborhood. The food is really good though. The dine-in atmosphere is so so because it's such a small place. The only thing. The cleanliness of the kitchen is left to be desired i am afraid.
Very generous portions and the naan was perfect. However, the vindaloo was very watery and not very flavorful. I could really only taste the vinegar and some oil, not the spice-rich vindaloo I have become accustomed to at other restaurants. There were also no potatoes, which I quite enjoy, although I did read it's more authentic for there to not be potatoes. Maybe this is the more authentic way to cook vindaloo? If so, I think I prefer the non-authentic. My boyfriend really enjoyed his korma though!

Food is mediocre. I ordered lamb biryani which was below average. Chicken tikka masala which was ordinary and shrimp vindaloo, which was fine. The kitchen did not look clean either. They overcharged me for the food and never gave the receipt either. Overall it's Meh.
Not for kids. I've tried lots of different ways of trying to describe on the phone how my kids can't handle any spice at all, but they don't ever make any dishes devoid of spicyness. Even when you talk with them on the phone very specifically about what you want. It will always be spicy. I Personally love this place and think that everything tastes amazing which is good because whenever we try to order from here I eat everything since everything is always too spicy for the rest of my family, no matter how I order
We ordered online and came to pick up. The inside of the restaurant is dirty and very unwelcoming. The kitchen looked unsanitary. I would not order there if I saw it first.

Entered the hotel and there was no one there . The staff was resting . Service was good . But the food not so much. Had ordered chicken tikka masala . The chicken was hard , seemed frozen . Masala was mildly spicy as requested but pretty thin. Rice felt stale
We ordered chicken biryani and coriander chicken. Both were poorly prepared and tasteless. The biryani rice was under cooked, had a lot of food color but almost no flavor. The corridor chicken was tasteless too and the chicken quality seemed pretty questionable.
It was very disappointing to try Indian food at this place. The place was dirty and smelly. Staffs’ aprons haven’t been washed for couple years I guess. A tiny kitchen fit 4 men without air circulation or good sanity. The food tasted terrible with poor quality. I will never ever go there AT ALL.
Picked up dinner, food has no taste at all, even gave us the wrong items. Absolutely bland gravy for malai kofta and chicken biryani had only red chilli powder.
