Better than most similar Asian/Chinese buffets nearby. Sushi rolls are freshly made and there is a good variety to try. Most stir-fried dishes are pretty good like in an ordinary restaurant, especially the eggplants and bitter gourd fried eggs (苦瓜炒蛋). Dim sum dishes are also pretty nice and expected. I didn't try much the raw seafood so cannot evaluate much on that. Desserts can be improved. The egg tarts are really plain and not fluffy or crispy at all. Overall nice place to try especially for sushi rolls.
Maybe not the absolute ultimate in seafood buffets, but pretty darned close for the price! Oysters on the half shell is a big draw for me. A dozen fresh oysters at most oyster bars will run you $30-40, so I get my value after having the couple dozen that I Wolf down. The sushi is quite fair, you don't even have to stuff yourself with sushi rice, they have several straight sashimi selections, including tuna, salmon and more. If you prefer fully cooked, there's plenty to chose from, including roast pork, Peking style duck, and many varieties of your typical Chinese dishes. They keep the crabs (snow and blue) available in fried and steamed. Really is a seafood lover's delight! About $35 per person.
The sushi was great lots to choose from every different crab you could think of food was good service was great and they had football on TV it was great 👍 alot of people there i was so full when I left so good couldn't stop eating definitely worth the money
It's a buffet, not upscale dining, so the atmosphere is appropriate. The food was fresh and had a good variety. Frankly, I didn't risk the raw fish, but lots of people happily visited that station again and again. Another huge plus (at least for me) was seeing mainly Asians around, which tells me the food is somewhat authentic.
Had dinner here with my boyfriend & his family. We celebrated his little sisters birthday. It’s $42 per person and you can eat here for free on your birthday! They have a variety of selection. From Asian food like duck, sautéed vegetables, Asian soups, and dim sum. They also have sushi and sashimi, they have a pretty good selection!! My favorite is their roast duck, it was so flavorful and just the perfect amount of crisp & saltiness! Their seafood is also really good, I always get plates and plates of their sashimi
Had lunch on a late Saturday afternoon (we arrived at around 1:30 pm) with a friend at Tomi Sushi. As a start, I am impressed with the huge selection of Asian cuisine available at this restaurant. The variety of seafood is also okay although I couldn’t find any raw oysters. Finally, I considered the dessert spread to be of A+ quality.
Food is always good. Especially on weekends and Holidays dinner time. Our family went here on Christmas day. Waiting for 50 minutes to open. Many people waiting... had bit of bitter incident here. Women cut in line saying " had reservations " Very rudely acting! This was first come first serve restaurant!! She came 5 minutes before opening to said her 92 years old Mom can stand in line??? Then you should come in earlier to be first in line. Manager didn't do anything about her behavior towards to others who waited for nearly one hour 🙄 😤 😒 😑 Manager said " reservation first ??? NO WAY!! THEN WHY SHOULD WE WAIT IN LINE FOR ONE HOUR?? 🤔 ALL WE HAVE TO DO IS MAKE RESERVATION AND COME IN AS THEY OPEN. THERE'S MANY PEOPLE CAME EARLIER TOBE IN LINE TO GET IN AS THEY OPEN. IF RESERVATION IS FIRST THEN WHY DO PEOPLE OPEN RUN??? Hope management sees my message and do something about it in the future. I wouldn't want my next visit to be unpleasant again.
Amazing sushi and sashimi selection and very fresh. Love the snow crab legs.\nThe quality stays consistent even after decades of operation

I do appreciate the variety of this Buffet. I do feel like sometimes it is fresher than others. I wish they wouldn't charge our children 6-15 Adults price. They do not eat more than 1 place for entrée & 1 plate of dessert.
Overall 4.5 ⭐️’s Good price for all you can eat buffet. Lots of food options, with good quality and tasty food. If you haven’t been, I highly recommend a visit!
What is Tomi sushi was Todai seafood buffet in the 90s, and it's good to see it is still operating after all these years. Say what you will about buffets, but the food here is actually pretty decent. Their cold items "island" is the most popular destination, well staffed and well stocked. Their sushi hand rolls are worth a repeat visit. Behind the hand rolls is a lineup of small carpaccio bowls. Pick one or several, and they will grab it from the refrigerator. They're quite good. Other winners include the roast duck, roast pork, steamed oysters, mussels, fried prawns, and surprisingly, the won ton noodle soup. They have even have deep fried lobster on the weekends, but it's just ok. Go on a Friday or weekend to ensure they replenish items regularly as they get busier . On those days. Parking is easy. Park near JC Penney and walk over. Located Service is little gruff, but who goes to a buffet for great service ? Dirty dishes are picked up quickly If you visit on or 3 days before or 3 days after your birthday, the meal is free.
The selection of food was great, with a variety of options from sushi to hot dishes. The food was fresh, and the flavors were pretty good, though some of the dishes could’ve been a bit more flavorful. The service was friendly, and the staff made sure to keep everything clean and well-stocked. The only downside was that the seating area was a little crowded, making it hard to move around. Still, it’s a solid buffet, and I would go back again.
We came to eat lunch buffet somewhat late. About 1.45pm on Sunday. Some dishes started to run out. I enjoyed fish soup and hot and sour soup. It wasn’t excellent but all right. Soft shell crab, crawfish and shrimps were good. So were sushi rolls. Brazed beef soup was really enjoyable. It is nice to come to buffets like this sometimes and try the varieties. You would enjoy if you are not very picky.
We went at around 5:40 on Saturday. No waiting time to get sit. Plenty of seafood choices, salmon, oysters, crabs, etc. For some food there is queue but it moves pretty fast. Taste not bad. However I had diarrhea right after the dinner, probably due to the fresh oysters as that the only food that my husband didn’t take. 🥲
Come here on your birthday and get a FREE dinner (valued at $38.99). They do require a minimum of 3 adults (which means if it’s your birthday that day, you eat for free and the other 2 guests are charged). Don’t forget to bring your ID. Really great deal and Tomi gives you up to one week from your birthday so you don’t have to arrive on the day of your birthday. Price per adult for dinner is $38.99. Their sushi, sushi rolls and sashimi are amazingly delicious. Lots of selections especially the rolls. They even have Poke. Love their fresh raw oysters. Best time to come for dinner is 5pm as soon as they open because they get super busy. You only need 3 people from your party now to get a table. Previously, you needed all parties but not anymore. Woo-hoo! They have expansive menu on top of sushi such as hot places with soup, Chinese , Korean and blends of some American food. Desserts were good and they have crème brûlées and flan. Really good. Best of all, I would say their customer service here was excellent. We will definitely be back for more. Cheers!
My husband and I really enjoyed the lunchtime sushi buffet here. The service was fast and friendly. The food was your typical buffet fare but the sushi itself was quite enjoyable. There is a lot of variety. Side note: The staff does not refill the food items within an hour of closing time so get there early! Also, their green tea ice cream does not taste like green tea at all. It's a weird, indescribable flavor. I would skip that.

Been here several times, and the food has improved in quality and service. Always room for improvement in quality.
Food was very mediocre for its price, service was alright, and the ambiance was kinda good, for two people it was 80 not including tips. You're definitely better off going elsewhere.

The family loves coming here for celebration. I noticed the price went down from $54+/pp to $36+/- pp and with that price drop we noticed the food and quality dropped as well. I only get a samples and small servings so I can try as much food as I can eat, but the sushi is definitely not as good as I remember. They so don’t serve alcohol anymore.
I've been to the Union city Tomi buffet (closed) and this one since 2014, I would come here once or twice per year. The food is ok/good, tastes ok, seafood sometimes is not very fresh, but overall it is alright. Back then it was pretty good, cos for the price it's really good value (it was $27 for weekend dinner), we would come here when family visits. However now it's $42, for that price I can't recommend most people to come here, unless you only eat the expensive seafood and sashimi. Cos for $42 you can get steaks, really good sushi or any other stuff, it would probably still cost less per person. -1 for price/value, -1 for food freshness/cleanliness.

Tomi has been on my list for a while now. SF barely has any buffets so you bet I was excited to make a trip down just to stuff my face with whatever I wanted to eat because calories don't count when you're in food paradise. ;) Arrived around 11:30am on a Sunday and got seated right away. Maybe half of the restaurant was filled. By 12:00-12:30pm, the whole place was packed and a line started to form. The place didn't look very big and didn't look a whole lot of options. Brutally honest... I was quite disappointed by the quality of the food and selections. The crab was grainy and mushy.. the wonton noodles were dense and uncooked. The orange chicken was stale. The tempura had more batter than anything. The crawfish was a no. A lot of the stuff were cold. But what I did like was their duck (even though it was slightly undercooked), chow mein, tomato salad (LOL), eggplant, salt and pepper shrimp, and pineapple. Unfortunately by the time we got home, my bf’s stomach was hurting pretty badly. I really wanted to like this place but it was underwhelming. Service was good. Nothing negative other than the fact that they gave us the check 20 minutes into our meal. They collected our empty plates pretty frequently which is nice. For $27.99/person, I guess you get what you paid for. I probably wouldn't come back. 01.07.2024 | Sunday @11:30am

I visited this establishment with a group of ten colleagues for lunch. While the pricing is reasonable (approximately $30 per person), the overall experience was unsatisfactory. Food Quality: The food was average, with limited flavor. Given the price point, the value was not commensurate with the quality. Service and Environment: The primary concern was the environment. Multiple tables had loud guests, and staff were also speaking loudly, which disrupted the dining experience. The staff did not maintain order, and their interactions with guests were unprofessional. During table cleaning, staff created excessive noise near our table, further disrupting our meal. Cleanliness: The establishment did not meet expected cleanliness standards. Conclusion: Based on this visit, I cannot recommend this restaurant and do not plan to return.
Today, my mom got her very first pay from her very first job and she wanted to take me out for dinner. A friend of ours brought us to this place about 2 months ago and my mom really liked this place due to the variety of food they offer however today’s experience was indeed very upsetting. We arrived at 7:43pm, it is stamped on the paper the moment you are being recieved and we know that they close at 9pm. The moment we entered the place we were already told that , “oh we close at 9pm”. I didn’t ask but “I said okay thank you very nicely ” It felt like lowkey saying “we close at 9pm so better hurry up”. We got into our table and then a lady with short hair asked us what we wanted for drinks and then left. About 7:52 we got up to start grabbing our food from the buffet. At about 8:10pm we finished our first plate, the same lady came by and grabbed our empty plates , we said thank you nicely then she came back about after 3 minutes and gave us our check then again said “ here’s your check because we close at 9pm. By then I was already quite annoyed. We grabbed our 2nd plate and kept eating, at about 7:24pm the lady came back asking about the check book as we had left it on the table without my moms card yet as we were still eating. My mom gave her her card because the lady asked. She went into the cashier station and ran my moms card then came back at our table to leave the check book to have it signed. If I have to be honest it is very discouraging to leave any tip at this point so we just signed the check. Then the lady came back again, looked at the check book on our table and had told us “oh make sure to leave a tip here” at that point I started flipping out quietly. I was mind blown how rude that lady was. A hostess came by to our table and to grab our check book , I told her the reason why I wouldn’t want my mom to leave any tip and that I was sorry. I think I am just upset that my mom will forever remember that she bought me dinner at this place on her very first paycheck on her very first job with an experience like that. We left at 8:42 before we get shooed again. We came here not to experience fine dining, we just wanted to eat a lot and well. Forever ruined. So to that short haired lady, I am very sorry if you were having a bad day, I hope you didn’t have to to ruin ours too.
