Best Sushi and Asian food in town. Love to go here and eat a nice meal in a calm and clean environment. The employees and owner are very attentive and the order always comes out right. The restaurant is kid friendly and wheelchair accessible. Would definitely recommend 100%.

Mizumi is my go-to sushi spot. Went there a few days ago and ordered the yellow tail and salmon roe sushi which were both delicious. I also love their shrimp tempura 💥, eel, and tornado roll. For drinks we had the creamy sake (on ice) and the lychee martinis- both delicious! Pro-tip: you can ask for a different menu that includes detailed descriptions of all sushi rolls.

If you like fresh sushi, variety, great lychee martinis, and also a solid hot plate menu, Mizumi is a great choice. Go often and when there’s nothing left over, and you didn’t take it easy when ordering, then there’s your review. To boot, I did order to go plates on a couple of occasions and definitely recommend. I shall always appreciate a place that consistently delivers and I’ve gone this year at least 9 times. Every time, everything has been on point. Small crowd or big, doesn’t matter. Always served to high standards and tasting great.

I hardly leave reviews anymore for good restaurants. I am a local from the Dallas area and we traveled to SA for a weekend trip. We stopped by this place for lunch and it was absolutely amazing. My wife and I ordered about 15 plates all together. We ordered everything from the appetizers to dessert, and absolutely everything we tasted had so much flavor, high quality ingredients, and definitely made from a chef who puts love and care into their food. Best Sushi, Hibachi, and Dessert I’ve ever had. The portion control is well balanced, especially with the hibachi / teriyaki dishes. I highly recommend the Cream Cheese Rangoon’s, Dumplings, they were fried to PERFECTION, the sushi grade was just so delicious and fresh veggies with a watery crunch from the cucumber. And the Strawberry Ice Cream… WOW!

This was our first time 😄🙌 trying Izumi’s 🍣 🍱 in San Antonio because we heard so much about it 😃! And it certainly is a gem 💎 in the city 🏙️ ☺️! Furthermore, just like a lot of All-You-Can Eat options, Izumi was very forthcoming and informed us at the beginning that we would get charged for wasting any food that we could not finish. But she figured she would just try All-You-Can-Eat on a future occasion either when both of us had more of a voracious appetite 😋! Or the next time her fiancé 😍 could come with her 😉! We ordered this time from the regular menu 🙂! I ordered the signature Izumi roll 🍣, whereas she ordered the signature Ichiban roll 🍣, and we shared 😃! Both rolls were absolutely DELICIOUS 😋!! I also ordered a miso soup 🥣, and my friend ordered the onion soup 🥣, which were both perfect ☺️👌 because it was a little chilly 🥶 outside since we are now in the fall season 🍁 🍂! The customer service was fantastic 🤩! All of the employees were very friendly and courteous 🙂! We will definitely be back 😄🙌!!

Fantastic All-You-Can-Eat buffet style sushi place. Among the best I’ve been to. This is an “order as you eat” style restaurant and they highly discourage wasting food (they might charge you for wasting food). The sushi rolls are really tasty if you know what you’re ordering. That might be the toughest part since there are so many to choose from. Probably best to go in with a plan ahead of time.

We stopped in here on a whim after shopping and really enjoyed our visit. Our server, Martin, was incredibly helpful and gracious in welcoming us for our first time and explained how the menu and ordering worked. The food was out to our table much faster than we anticipated and was some of the best sushi and teriyaki chicken we’ve ever had. Whatever they put in the sweet tea is amazing as well! We will definitely be back when the sushi cravings hit. Great place for lunch!

I crushed a bunch of delicious Sashimi amd sushi. Every item we tried was great. Cooked items were done perfectly as well. Only down side is no alcohol. A cold Sapporo would've rinced everything down nicely.

Came on a busy night and was amazed how well the service and staff handled. This is a small restaurant with a very comfortable atmosphere. Had the all you can eat sushi as everything was phenomenal. Especially happy with our server Martin who was super attentive and friendly. Will definitely become regulars here

Definitely my favorite spot for all you can eat sushi! Comparable to sushi I've eating in South Korea! Lately though, I feel like the taste of items have changed and portions smaller, yet the price has gone up. It can be difficult to get a table. The establishment is quite small and you may get put on a waiting list. There are a few stores in the plaza you could check out- stickers n stars or dollar tree are close to help time pass by while you wait. They call when .your table is ready. The 2 person tables are extremely small and it is hard to fit all of your food items on the table at once. This location does not serve alcohol, but the Schertz location does and is much bigger. Servers aren't always attentive. There are plenty of outlets to charge your phone, just bring your charger. (Update: I went today and all the outlets had tape over them) (Pics are just some I've taken over time and not necessarily anything recent) Update: I made my original review 9 months ago and I feel the same. Smaller portions, yet the price has gone up to $28.95 for dinner.

We've been looking for a hole in the wall joint and finally found it. $19 for lunch sushi buffet? Great value. Good handrolls and chef's roll! Nigiri was OK, but the Hibachi grill beef and shrimp were good. Everything was a bit sweeter than what I wanted. It's good value and awesome service by our waiter, Simon. You order and they'll bring it to your table. I recommend this place for a sushi rolls and Hibachi grill.

The service was amazing. I don't tip often, but I had no problem giving Chloe (I hope that was her name) a $18 tip. Every staff member: from the guy who ran around picking up plates, to the guys making the food/sushi, and all the waiters/waitresses were working together to knockout service. I took my partner there for an early birthday dinner, and it was our first time here, but Chloe made our experience so memorable. We will definitely come back again soon. We didn't feel rushed, nor pressured to leave, and any questions we had were answered. I also loved that the quality of food was a step above from some of their competitors and consistently good. Every item I had was fresh, good, and presented well. I'm a picky eater, and I assure anyone who reads this that I didn't have anything tonight that I didn't like or vibe with Definitely, please come try this place and experience it yourselves

Service is great employees treat us like family. Sushis are good sized and with quality ingredientes. Bar has very good wine selection and nice variety of drinks. Recommended!!

Great price for AYCE! The fish is fresh and tasty. The wait time is not as bad as other locations. The only thing that wasn't great was the sushi rice, it was a little hard, but still good. Our server was amazing and explained how the ordering worked very simple.

I used to love going to this place, the location, service, food was always great. Last 3 times (yes, last strike, not going back) were not so good. From waitress playing on her phone not paying attention and then spilling soup all over me to paper thin salmon in my Alaska roll… I think I’ll be looking for another sushi place. Cutting corners with untrained wait staff and quality of food not going to save you money.

Food is ok. For the money Umiya is way better and fresher. Worker are really cheap . I ate I tip 20 percent. But when delivered the food there, they only tip 1 dollar, i wouldn’t go there again. They should know delivery people depend on tip just like them.

I hate to leave bad reviews, but my family stopped eating fish for a month and sushi for 2 months because of the food quality here. We dined in about 3 months ago for the dinner buffet option, and I'm just now getting around to leaving my honest unpaid review. The sashimi were thick and variable in sizes. We were excited when the plate came out but our excitement quickly dwindled into quickly eat so we dont waste the food. There were fish bones in at least 7-10 pieces (salmon and tuna...we've never experienced fish bones in sashimi at any Japanese restaurant before). The atmosphere was not authentic, no Japanese person in sight, not even at the sushi bar. Our server was nice, but he wasn't cleaning off our table for the new dishes that arrived, so we had to place finished plates on an empty table nearby. However, we got shunned. When we asked if plates needed to be placed on the floor, he tended to us quicker. My brother had fish water spilled on him from one of the sashimi dishes, and he didn't get an apology or extra napkins. It was like our expectations were too high based on these reviews. For San Antonio, maybe this is decent. But as food fanatics, this was disappointing, especially for the price. The diversity of guests was lacking too (a sign to us that the usual guests are less experienced with sushi). They were eager to get us in and out, instead of taking care of us. Even my kids were frustrated at the quality of food and service (their waters were empty for at least 30 min). The fried cheesecake tasted horrible! It was stale and tasted like frozen plastic...not a good way to end a subpar meal. My family of 5 and brother will definitely not return to this place, unless the quality improves. The cleanliness is questionable as the tables and chairs were sticky. Food was so subpar that I didn't want to take any more pictures. It was crowded to sit a party of 6 (of 3 were kids). We're average or small built humans.

First off, the menu had weird/original names with absolutely no description of the item. The wonton soup was underwhelming. The mango salad was horrible! It was warm, the mango was unripe, the avocado was mushed up and the fish was tasteless. We ordered a philadelphia and tuna roll. The salmon in the philly had a weird rotten color to it. Did not eat it. The tuna roll was underwhelming, and the tuna didn’t taste or smell fresh. Will definitely not repeat or recommend this place.

I've been here several times and this USED to be my go to place for all you can eat sushi. I really liked the sushi, but my last experience was horrible. Almost halfway into my meal, I go to grab another piece of sushi when I see a small ROACH on the plate. Now to be fair I didn't see the roach crawl out of a sushi roll, so not sure how he ended up on the plate. Regardless, if he crawled up from the floor or fell from the ceiling or was actually in the sushi, IT WAS DISGUSTING. There was a bug on my plate of food. I killed it with my napkin and showed one of the waiters. He took the plate of food and offered to remake it. I appreciate the thought, but I was feeling sick to my stomach thinking that roach was crawling around food I ate. My husband and I let him know we didn't actually want to stay. We barely got to eat half of the food we ordered. I started inspecting the other dishes and noticed a hair on the seaweed salad. Overall just questioning the cleanliness here. The waitress finally comes by with the check -- for the full amount-- and a $20 gift card for next time. I let her know I have no plans to return and to please apply that credit to the purchase. I think it's absurd they thought it was right to charge us the full amount when we clearly didn't get to finish our food. A roach ended up on my plate of food at your establishment. It's disgusting and I don't know who in their right mind would think someone plans on returning to a place they had such a bad experience at. I know things happen, but I'm truly more disappointed with their response than the roach itself. At no point did a manager/ owner come by to apologize. And charging someone full price for food they couldn't even eat seems like bad form. I wasn't going to sit there and argue or make a scene, so we paid the bill and left. I can safely say I have no plans to ever return.
