Yum! Chicken fajita omelet. Wife got the blueberry pancakes.... Mid morning, just a few people in the restaurant. Was seated fast and orders taken quickly and friendly. Lots of blueberries in the pancakes. Omelet was tasty and I doused it with Tabasco for more heat. Great atmosphere, our waitress refilled the coffee thermos and brought more flavored creamers. We never felt rushed to leave. Check out the menue photos, they changed some of the options again for the spring/summer season.
I have eaten IHOPE in numerous locations but this area is not that a lot of people. But I have ordered regular burger and onion rings but I forgot to take a photo. It was good and there so many meals to choose from. However, this is my first time ordering a sundae with waffle and it was not what I expected. I expected like bigger but it was not that much.
I brought my mom because she loves IHOP and it is closer than the one in Hayward and Emeryville. We are able to find parking and there was no wait for us to be seated. The food came quick and was hot and delicious. Everything looked nice and clean. The service was professional.

This is my mom’s favorite place to eat of all time. It’s a testament of the quality and the service. We go here for early or late brunch and they still bring us the consistent smiles that are welcomed. Melissa is so awesome! She greeted us with patience and mindfulness. Whomever trained her is on point. The management staff is attentive and patient even under pressure. Now the food…of course you can say it’s ihop what do you expect pancakes blah blah blah but see this location makes sure that it’s hot and ready for you not no lukewarm temperatures. Atmosphere is a vibe. You can hear yourself think even in the chaos of a kitchen. I like this location. And apparently everyone else does too! Check it out
I have eaten at alot of Ihops in my time but this one was really good! The staff was all very nice and we had a very small wait. But we also had a group of 10 and it was a Sunday morning but they got us in fast which was nice. I had a buger and it was cooked to perfection which you don't usually see at a chain restaurant. The prices were really good to I would definitely eat here again. 10/10
Our server Melissa is always so welcoming with a friendly smile on her face. She's quick and efficient while being genuinely kind at the same time. Thank you Melissa for making our Ihop experience always so pleasant.
The food at IHOP is always hot, fresh and tasty, their menu has lots of variety. The service is also friendly. We like eating at IHOP.
Our server Melissa was fantastic, this is the second time we have had her and her energy is always positive!

Wow, from the second we stepped in, Emily greeted us with a smile, took us to a table and ensured that we had beverages right away. Even though this was a busy Sunday morning, we felt very welcome and attended to. The dip in the food rating is due to my Benedict with fully cooked yolks, but again, it’s a busy Sunday and for that to be the only concern, the team as a whole is on point. Jesus was very efficient and has great timing for check in’s, talk about a multi-tasker! On our way out, I was unsure where to pay the bill, both the manager and Emily immediately offered help to get us out and on with our day. After having a few in consistent experiences at another location, we are so excited to know that our new neighborhood IHOP has an incredible team and will be our new go-to Thank you Emily and team!
Decided to try the new I hop in San Leandro. Came on Easter. Wasn't that busy. They sat us down quickly and we got greeted by our "waittress" fast too. The drinks took a while to get to us even tho they seemed over staffed and slow. Wasn't even packed. I almost decided to leave before our drinks arrived. Then another person came to take our order which I believe was a manager. She seemed professional and took our order without writing it down. Food was brought out by another person. I ordered some strawberry and creme crepes and when they brought them they were plain that's why even tho you're professional or experienced you should always write the order down no matter what. A young lady brought us our food and was nice and got my crepes fixed fast. We were just getting checked by 4 different employees except for our "waittress". I had also ordered the country fried steak, which I usually order at I hops. The breading was a bit over cooked too hard. Everything else was okay. Coffee was great. The organization of the employees just need to be better organized.
this is a recently opened I hop, I went there for breakfast, the food service is slow but otherwise I liked the food quality, we ordered a bunch of items and weren’t disappointed with any of those. There is ample amount of parking nearby to park and have your food.

We had to wait for a while of time for the services.😔 No waitress or waiter was there for us. Food was good, prices ok. The Menu for kids didn't have beverages sizes for kids.

Hot chocolate was great, and it comes with refills. The chicken and waffles was tasty, but the French toast was not their strong suit. The eggs were a bit undercooked, so next time I’ll order them over medium, and the sausage and bacon were a bit small. I was too full to try the pancakes, so I have no idea what that tastes like. There were some small churro balls that my table ordered and that were delicious. This type of chain restaurant isn’t my cup of tea, I came to celebrate my nephews birthday, but there are so many other restaurants available, so I will not be coming back. Huge shout out to the servers. They were super attentive, and friendly. Love that most of y’all were bilingual. Gracias,

I tried this location and I think they Can do better, my dish was skimpy, hash brown was smaller than used to be, ham very small. About service? Well we got seated at a partially clean table. In general portions are not very good neither service. The waiter was just trying to comply with the task, but I know could be better. Over priced side of hash brown and skimpy. We are Not coming back for sure.

Was charged 14.99 for five pancakes just about twelve minutes ago. I asked for just a stack. They gave me five on a very small plate. The booth was not cleaned. Syrup & dirt was on the floor throughout the booth where we sat. My nephew is 17, he didn’t want anything after seeing all the used pieces of napkins, straws crumbs of food all together on the bench & floor. Everyone was friendly but was not attentive to cleaning after people go up to go.
picked up my order, only to find part of it missing. The food itself was fine, but the service was unacceptable. Mistakes happen, but refusing to refund the missing portion shows poor customer care. I would rather not drive out again to pickup missing order. Very disappointing experience for a brand like IHOP.
They had no customers, so it should have been easy as pie for the staff to see the homeless man sitting in a chair in the hallway, near the bathroom, brushing his teeth and talking to himself. It would have been nice if they had offered him a meal.

Let’s start with the obvious: IHOP has pancakes in the name. You’d think that means something special… but every IHOP I’ve been to leaves me disappointed. San Leandro is no different. The pancakes taste like a box mix you just add water to. Crepes looked nice but had the same problem: no flavor. This location also felt a bit dark, and service was slow. Not terrible, just underwhelming. So 2 stars... a little below the already “average IHOP experience.” If it called itself a 24-hour diner, I’d say 4 stars easy. But putting pancakes front and center sets the bar higher… and they don’t clear it. Even Pelton Café down the street does them better. Pelton is unfortunately packed all the time.
Food: Considering I am a customary patron of IHOPs all over the Bay Area and maybe even the State... For this to be our first time here, I must say that our visit here was of grave disappointment! (Please feel free to click my profile to see other reviews) Per the photos I have posted which only partially speak for themselves, let's start at the top. I ordered the Spicy Poblano with substituted "new York cheesecake pancakes" which was an extra charge Some hash browns and sausage links on the side for my son, and a decaf coffee. Unfortunately I had to send the hash browns back twice which was slightly disappointing considering my request to have them lightly fried because my son is a toddler and could not chew the nearly burnt ones the server brought out the first two times. (please see service comments below) The new york cheesecake pancakes I ordered were just regular dry buttermilk pancakes that left a lot to be desired which was also disappointing upon our departure seeing other people's pancakes whose looked quite fluffy 😔 The spicy Poblano omelette which I requested to be made with egg whites was by far the smallest I have ever seen served at any IHOP I have been to The coffee was good though. Service: The service started off good. Our servers name was Jonathan. And as issues started to arise the energy and attitude of the service started to get shifty. (Part of providing exception customer service in my opinion is ACTIVELY Listening to your customers to ensure you provide the service that is deserved and in which they are seeking which fell extremely short in this case) First when I requested that the hash browns be sent back because they were too hard for my son, he took them back no problem... However, the second time I tried to send them back, he became slightly defensive stating that they couldn't fry them any lighter and that's how they come without even listening to what I was trying to say to him, he took them and walked away. Upon returning the third time with the hash browns he just dropped them on the table without seeing if those were to our satisfaction. 🙄 (Luckily they were) Now when I asked about the new york cheesecake pancakes (which the recipe had been changed on the menu) instead of him listening to me about the makeup of the dish and what was missing he keep saying this is how they are now despite the fact that there was some components missing. As me and my son consumed the pancakes which were plain and dry, everytime I insisted there was something missing, he just made excuses for the dish and kept wanting to refer me to the manager. When I finally pulled up a photo of how the pancakes should look... He finally brought me a very small cup of the cheesecake mousse which had been missing all along 🤬 even though at that point we were nearly done. When he brought the receipt, I then tried to ask him because of the pancake fiasco would he PERSONALLY pay for or dispute the extra charge for the substitute and before I could even finished, he cut me off AGAIN trying to refer me to the manager instead of listening to the whole question.🤬 I waited til he was finished then asked the question again and he said because he brought the mousse at the end that he would have paid for it 😮💨🤬🤣 After all of that it is safe to say between the inactive listening and shifty energy, the tip had been completely compromised. If I am going to be charged extra for components of my breakfast that was missing and shifty service to spend my hard earned money at an establishment, I expect to receive what I asked for/am paying for. After this experience, it is safe to say we may not be back and frequent our usual IHOP in Fremont to avoid mediocre EVERYTHING! And if we do frequent on this side of town, we may try a different time of day to compare service and dining experiences. Atmosphere: Establishment was clean No changing table in the bathroom for children (Please see parking for continued review)

I had went in to iHop and was seated, we ordered but our server was no where to be found for the majority of the time. When the food came out I was excited to eat. It did look really good but looks can be deceiving. The eggs I got had a strong vinegar taste and later I had gotten severe food poisoning and couldn’t stop throwing up after I ate there. We still ended up tipping good but I regret it. Awful service and I got very sick from the food.
I came on my birthday last week. I was sat at a super small table and another family was squeezed next to me. Spanish speaking people. My server helped them first after I was waiting. I asked about birthday breakfast. Server very sharp response NO. Didn’t encourage me to check out other options. Instead she started chatting with the Spanish family never came back to me. I left and checked out another place. Customer service isn’t the same these days. Awful

Will not be returning here again after being a loyal customer for quite some time. Ruby, the hostess refused to provide good customer care for us today. I had my toddler & an elder with me yet she refused to provide us with an available booth. I am very suspicious of people who refuse to look out for families with small children & elderly family members, and will not be supporting any business that employs such type of people. It’s unfortunate because we live in the neighborhood and frequent this place but I rather spend my hard earned dollars somewhere where customers of all ages are actually valued, welcomed and appreciated. This experience proved that this ihop location definitely isn’t one of those places.
The food is good but the service is really bad no customer service at all with all that I still tipped to be kind. We stood at the podium to be seated few staff passed by us any no acknowledgment at all as a matter of fact they were trying to avoid eye contact wow. One person passed by we said hi excuse me he passed by with saying anything pretending he did not hear us again wow . Finally we were seated after we asked another person we need a table and the place was not crazy busy . The server was very aggressive she was an elder African American lady no smile no nothing forgetting things we asked for anyway maybe she was having a bad day but still tho . All good there but really the service is bad which is sad honestly for business to have this while the food is pretty good .
