The guy who helped us was incredibly helpful and friendly. The fish tasted very fresh and everything was delicious. We were just passing through but we will definitely stop here again the next time we are in SLO.
Excellent as always. They have octopus salad as a topping right now and it's amazing! The employees handled an awful picky and rude customer just before me really well too. 6 stars!
I really enjoy Pokirito. I come often. It's definitely a little on the more expensive side but given how much meat you end up getting it's probably more cost effective than a sushi restaurant. I really enjoy the wraps however I find myself getting the bowls more often because it's kind of a pain to eat wraps. I feel like they don't use enough seaweed because there's always a strip of rice that isn't covered by the seaweed and that's where the wrap always falls apart. Maybe I'm just eating them wrong but every time I get a wrap (medium or large size doesn't seem to matter) the damn thing falls apart at the seams because it doesn't overlap and you end up eating all your meat with chopsticks anyway because it's escaped the wrap. Please just use a little more seaweed idk it would improve the experience so much .
This place is great! I get the vegetarian option and it's really delicious :) I highly recommend trying Poki here.
I’ve been coming here for years and their food is consistently good. I eat here about once a week. The owner of very nice and you can tell they care about their business.
1st visit at this location. So yummy & fresh. Very attentive, accommodating staff, knowledgable and transparent about the ingredients in eat marinade, dressing and sides. Super happy.
Lovely people, lovely food, lovely place.
I am taking mine home, so they packed my greens base in a small container so they wouldn't wilt on my long trip home. The crew there were very nice, I wish it was closer to home.
I love this place. You get to make your own sushi creation how you like it, or you can get a hot meat bowl like chicken teriyaki. The customer service is great. I recommend this place to everyone.
Honestly sad that we don’t have a Pokirito in UT. We were passing through and honestly, best poke I’ve had! Price and portions included. Please open a joint in Utah and my fam will totally keep it in business lol a must go
Best Poke in slo county. Their fish is really fresh, the people are very friendly. I wish they would put a location in Paso Robles!
Love this place. Although the pricing continues to go up and up over the years, the portions are generous, staff friendly and they're rarely too busy...which makes it a convenient pickup.
Just had lunch there for the first time and loved it! For under $13 I got a bowl full of rice, toppings, two proteins, a side, and my beverage. This is a Subway style build your own bowl and wrap place, everything tasted delicious, great value.
I go here whenever I crave sushi. There is a wide variety of proteins, mix-ins, and toppings, which are always fresh, including the fish. For $10, $12, or $14 you can get a small (2 proteins, 1 mix-in), medium (3 proteins and 2 mix-ins), or large (4 proteins and 3 mix-ins). The small is large enough to make you full and maybe have some left over to take home. The drinks they provide are also great, including Thai iced tea, green tea latte, and iced green tea. I'd totally recommend you to give this place a try.
Great selection of toppings and sauces for vegans and vegetarians. The fried tofu and tamago were delicious
The staff here are experts in what they are serving. If you are a first timer to the Poké experience and need a guide, you can walk here solo and get yourself something delicious. I speak from experience. The fish is of excellent quality, and I have never had an issue with the food. The crab is sweet, the tuna fresh, and the toppings crisp. Soy sauce, wasabi, and chopsticks are provided for free and their drink selection covers the Coco-Cola standards as well as four different types of Thai style teas. The store is a little small, but it is never cramped or asking for more space. It's quite homey and comes with a long bar on one side if you happen to be dining alone or with a single other person. There are of course, larger more traditional tables, also. I hope you give this place a try soon!
I like Pokirito a lot. I always get the large bowl for the value and it always tastes great and fills me up with some left over. Prices are steadily creeping up which is unfortunate, but you get a bowl free for ever 10 so that's not too bad. Fish is usually of decent quality and their sides are fantastic.
So yummy! Love all of their topping options and that they give you a lot of food. Sometimes poke places skimp on portion size but not this place!
I just left this restaurant. I am actually a pretty frequent guest here...I have never written a review about this place because, until today, I had never been treated with such WONDERFUL customer service. Fernando was soooo wonderfully kind and went out of his way to make me feel welcome!! He is a gem!!! Thank you, I will keep coming back😊
You can make your own poke ball and the cooks are very good at giving advice. Perfect for lunch. I will be back.
Yesterday was my first time having poki. I was very nervous but it was super good. The staff was very helpful. I’ll be back for sure.
Legitimately the best poke bowl I've had from Hawaii to New York. As of today, for $21.95 you get 4 large scoops of protein plus 3 sides which can also be protein like spicy tuna or avocado or mac salad. All of the sauces are gluten free and made with tamari! Only a couple items weren't gluten free, such as the fish eggs. I felt like I was waddling out of this place it was so filling the entire day. I absolutely will be back! PS: the don't take cash so make sure you have a card.
The award for best poke bowl speaks for itself, coming from a huge Poke connoisseur, this joint is by far the best poke I have had. Generous portions, fresh, and incredible toppings that most places don't have. You will not be disappointed.
This is my favorite poke place in san Luis obispo. They have big portions, the small fills me up! The only down side I have is that the spicy tuna isn't spicy...
Parking is ample. Loved that. All the choices were perfect and they totally understood gluten free which is a HUGE plus! And the ginger is naked, no red dye.
Great place to get a healthy meal. They're wraps (pokiritos) are the best.
The gentleman who helped me was beyond hospitable. As my first time in here, he made the process simple. I would come back a 100 more times. Thank you.

Took the family here so the kids could experience a Poke bowl. It was delightful. We found the flavors to be delicious; the meats were fresh and delicate, the veggies clean and crisp, the toppings popping with flavor, all blended well together with tangy sauce (I got the spicy mayo). This was our first experience tasting a Poke bowl in SLO county, so while I don't have another place to compare it to, I can compare it to other delicious foods in general I've had, and this place stands out among them. The space is a little cramped, but we did easily find seating for four. Cool live edge tables and bar to eat at. And the staff was super patient and helpful with my kids. We all got the small size, which was plenty for all of us. My wife and I finished ours, and were quite satisfied, and the kids were able to save theirs for next days lunch. Great little spot!
I'm so excited to have a sushi burrito place in SLO after eating at one in Vegas. I had a wrap that was based on my favorite sushi roll and I was pleased. The ingredients were good and they had everything I wanted. The employees were friendly and the owner, I think, was there engaged with the customers, so that's nice to see. The price was a little higher and the portion smaller than the place I ate in Vegas, but it's still cheaper than a sushi bar so I'm not complaining. I didn't try it today, but they have Thai tea at the drink fountain, so that's awesome.
Exceptionally friendly staff, delicious food. One of the top poke places in my book now. Everyone I went with exclaimed over how good it was. Large is large!!! Small/medium is about what you expect size wise for things to be from a typical poke place. Thai tea is pretty decent. The Tofu has beens in it. New for me, but a welcome addition. Generous with sauces
The ingredients were fresh with a good variety. We were greeted right away by a young women. She walked us through our orders and rang us out. She was very friendly. We stayed and ate there as it was nice and quiet with some music in the background.
Their food is consistently great. I like being able to choose all the toppings and they are generous with portions. 8 go here frequently.
The food was good. However sitting there was a bit uncomfortable because the chairs are so high. Why not have chairs closer to the ground?

Went to pick up several large bowls of poke for the game. Drove across town just for you and guess what? YOU DON'T TAKE CASH!!! Well...that was all I had. Are you the only place in town that won't take cash? Too bad. You lost $100 sale and I wasted my time. So much for Plan A.
One time I paid for extra a avocado on an online order and they forgot it, but didn't realize it till I got home. I asked for free avocado next time and they said no. that sucked but also I'm not petty and honestly the food is so good I don't even care. employees that work the line are friendly and quick to get you what you want. if you are paying with a card, the machine kind of tricks you into giving a tip so if you don't want to tip you have to manually enter $0.00 as the tip which is kind of weird.
Pretty good Poke bowl place. Probably the best poke place anywhere near San Luis Obispo. But still not comparable to the bigger CA cities or more importantly Hawaii. The fish just tastes fine but better than other options in SLO. I personally like their sauce selection (spicy mayo and shoyu) and sides. I think it's funny u can add hot Cheetos, and I do like them. Honestly, it's perfectly acceptable for college students, and the portions are pretty large.

Decent poke . I like that the seaweed salad is included but there were less variety of sides than I usually see at poke places (eg only spicy crab salad. No regular crab salad). Friendly staff

Rice undercooked chewy and crunchy, salmon stinky but the taste was ok– just not that great when its super expensive!
The poke looked and tasted great but I’m not a huge fan on the burrito sushi concept. The octopus salad and seaweed salad were great. The minus 2 stars is for the presumably bad food coming back up a few hours later. Very unfortunate.
This is a CA-style Poke that is really suited for the College crowd here. It is nothing like "real" Poke that one gets when one lives in Hawaii. Here it is filled with lots of filler, and much less seafood Poke. It is unclear as to the quality of the fish, since real Sushi grade fish is very pricey.

Sub-par experience since one of the fish served tasted like a mouthful of salt water (obvious tell of sushi that has gone bad), which led to a less than pleasant expelling. And pro-tip: selecting different burrito sizes doesn't mean more food as they still serve the same total amount being that the burrito itself isn't enlarged. Yup, not returning
My Yelp review speaks for itself. But in a nutshell, don't go there if you're looking for Hawaiian, which they promote. Our experience with the Teriyaki was poor. It appeared to be reheated frozen chicken drizzled with jarred Teriyaki sauce. It couldve been amazing but it was only "OK". The canned pineapple killed the experience. It did "appear" to be fresh and the sticky rice was good. If I was looking for drive-through, Japanese, Hawaiian, fusion than this would've fit the bill. But I wasn't looking for "fast", I was looking for "quality". Unfortunately Pokirito did not deliver.
Unfortunately I contracted a terrible case of salmonella poisoning from this place. I had ordered it in advance but it was made when I ordered it and likely sat out for hours multiplying the bacteria. Obviously, I won’t be coming back.
Guess this restaurant doesn’t know how to update their hours on google . Showed up at 9pm and they now have “summer hours” closing at 8pm now every day. Never coming back
Was in town and craving poke, I sat in for lunch, couldn’t even make it the 25 minute drive home before getting very sick. I hadn’t eaten anything else that day. This has never happened at any of my other favorite spots. Wont be returning.
I'm not coming back to this Pokirito in San Luis Obispo. The meal was a real disappointment. The meats are not quality, tastes like the ingredients have been sitting in the containers for a while. I added seasoning/sauces but it was not flavorful. I gave this place 3 chances, I've tried poking bowls in many parts of California and Hawaii and this was not worth the $16 plus dollars I spent. What a waste!!!!!!!!
If I can leave no stars I would. It was my first time there. Staff were helpful and nice. However when I was traveling back home to Clovis Ca I was not feeling good at all. I was vomiting all night and felt super sick. I never had felt this way when eating any poke! Don’t think I’ll ever go back when I am visiting my office in SLO
Reviewing from my toilet 9 hours after eating a salmon bowl from this place. Definitely made me violently ill. I noticed the food looked a bit slimy/stringy while eating but I convinced myself it was just the consistency of the sauce and not something wrong with the fish. I’ve eaten here many times and this has been the first time I’ve gotten sick from the food. A review from last week said the same thing. Please figure out what’s going wrong and stop giving us all diarrhea. Thank you.
