Hadn't been here in a few years and was craving their "hand scooped tuna" which I unapologetically love. This location was near my work for years and years and all 20 or 30 times I'd been it was solid. Clean, fairly quick, and they kept the bread and veggies a lot fresher then other subways around. Footling with bacon, chips, and large drink was $16 bucks which still feels really reasonable for its heartiness. Having the basket service for dine in orders was real nice and something I haven't encountered yet. If you're weirdly craving subway I think this is best location in town.

This is my Favorite SUBWAY. I go often at lunch time and even when they are busy the staff, Miss Shirley, Luis and Adam are Always Friendly, Helpful and Patient when I take a bit to figure out what to get. I love listening to them speak with the other customers while I wait, I am amazed when they remember so many preferences of the regulars. It is Clean and well Stocked and the have the Best Lavender Mint Lemonade. Thanks SUBWAY! I appreciate the seating outside too. My ONLY negative is the parking for the Subway area is not very big or easy, so take your time and someone will be moving shortly.
Always courteous. They are patient, even if you're a little slow making up your mind about what you want. They are helpful with coupons. Food is always fresh. I like seeing the calorie count on the menu board.
Every time I've been to this particular Subway has been nothing but excellent service. I like stopping in after the lunch rush and there's almost never a wait. Their friendly smiles are always appreciated and really does feel like they enjoy trying their best at customer service. I'm always greeted with a "Hi, how you today?" Makes your lunch experience start on a positive note, in turn it's more enjoyable to eat the sub. My go to sub is a footlong Spicy Italian on Jalapeno Cheddar bread. A tip, try having a little oil and red wine vinegar put into the bread before adding the meat and cheese and followed with it toasted. I add just about all the veggies minus the lettuce (it's just filler). I also layer my dressings (creamy sarracha, ceaser and subway vinaigrette) in between adding my veggies so that they don't all ooze out when I'm taking a bite. Topped off with extra salt and extra pepper. I really hate how customers complain on how their sub is made. It is up to you on how things are added and when they are added into your sub. They are very willing to add each ingredient as I want them added with no fuss. That way everyone is happy in the end. Their location is also very clean. This will continue to be my favorite local Subway and really appreciate the employees here. Thank you.
Shirley was our server. She was so nice and accommodating. She made our sandwiches perfectly! My husband has tried many of the sandwiches but his favorite is the Italian BMT toasted with everything on it.
The ppl working (especially the guy) working that night was incredible...mom and I had low blood sugars, were exhausted, and he just understood the urgency I had to get mom and I feed. He made our sandwiches perfectly and was patient with my fuzzy brain (due to low sugar). Only subway I have been to bc this was my 1st trip to Santa Barbara, SLO and Santa Maria. I appreciate his kindness and patience the most! I always appreciate Subways that carry the veggie patty/veggie max. Thanks to this employee who helped us that night!

Installed the Subway app while our Subway sandwhiches were being made. Looks like we now get the buy 1 subway sandwhich, get 1 free everytime we order using the app. We are earning points via the app, so we'll get a free Subway sandwhich after so many points earned as well. My son and I love Subway sandwhiches and now we're especially happy with getting more food at the same price.

This Subway sandwich shop is very convenient for a quick bite. It is easy to park and inexpensive. The shop is comfortable, clean, and the service is great. The $6.99 daily combo is a great deal. You get a drink, a bag of chips, or two cookies to go with your sandwich. The kids' meal sounds good also. However, there is only a limited choice, and the processed meat is not to my liking. Otherwise, it would be a perfect size meal for me. My meatball sandwich was pretty tasty. However, I would be happier if I knew the additional $1.75 charge for more meat to upgrade my meatballs before I placed my order.

All Subways are around the same it depends on which subway you go to and what person you get unfortunately this was not a good experience for me at the subway only because the lady that was making my sandwich was arguing with me about bell peppers that I seen and it happens with vegetables sometimes you'll get a little soggy one in there and all I eat is vegetables I don't eat meat so when I go to Subway I love the freshness of their vegetables she was arguing with me about it being yellow I also was a prep Chef for 5 years and know when a bell pepper is soggy she threw the bell pepper away picked up another one and said see it's yellow because I said that I did not want that on my sandwich and told her to take it off and I was very polite about it and said I know I'm picky with my sandwich and blah blah blah I'm sorry but I don't want a soggy bell pepper and instead of arguing with me she could have just said okay and got the other side where it was perfectly fine but instead wanted to prove her point which you should never do if you're in customer service as a customer should be always right the only instance where the customer is not right is when they're calling you names and being a Karen which I absolutely was not doing so fortunately for me there are three other Subways I can choose from I will not be back at this one

Salad was great but the lady making it didn't put enough lettuce. She acted like she didn't want to give us extra. We didn't like her much.
I had the meatball sandwich. It was pretty much a lot of sauce and the meatballs were not very tasty, rather bland, and the bread seemed pretty tasteless. I never go to subway because I don't eat processed meat or food in general. The person making sandwiches was by himself and was backed up. Rather disappointed in the whole experience. I don't believe I will ever eat there again, I'm going back to High street, or Mr Pickle in San Luis!!!
I don't see myself giving a national chain 5 stars for food, but I don't recall spending $14 just for a foot long sub. Also, has anyone noticed the size of the bread or did COVID play a role in shrinking it.

We couldn’t order a sandwich on Higuera, so we ordered one on broad. We knew broad was bad, but the coupon would only work on that store. I never write reviews, but the person who works at the subway on Broad, should not be working there. I had ordered double meat, i had received half meat in general, not toasted at all. The toppings I wanted, didn’t get any of them. It was a melt. You shoulder NEVER come here unless you want a disappointment.
I'm giving two stars because the lady working was friendly but the bread is extremely dry I kept having to ask for more sauce and vegetables because she was like putting four jalapenos on a footlong.. and for me and my taste that's just not suiting. I regret buying it but I was hungry I definitely would never go here again.

Please note: this review is more about Subway in general, and not this store in particular. With that being said, I don't like their bread. Also, what is up with the smell?!? You spend five minutes in the place and end up smelling weird all day! Just about every Subway I've ever been to has this same problem. I can't imagine working there, your whole life must smell like Subway. For the $8-$10 you'll spend here for a footlong, chips, and drink, you can get much tastier food elsewhere! If you really want a fast-food sub, go to Quizno's. They have much tastier bread, and $5 subs, too. If you really want to spend $7 - $8 on a sub, go next door to Higher Groundz. (Better yet, ask about HG's daily specials.) WAY better quality, and you support a local biz instead of a national chain. At least this Subway has friendly staff.
On my walk this morning, I developed a blister so i went into subway. There was a customer so I was waiting for her to leave but the woman (owner) asked me if I needed something. I then asked if she had a band-aid. She did not answer me but instead, gave me a dirty look and continued with her customer. So I waited there until finally and rudely, she said, "I don't have a band-aid right now." Not only did she not have the decency to even acknowledge I'd asked a question at first, she let me stand there for 5 minutes before telling me no. So either this woman treated me like garbage and refused to give me a stinking band-aid because I didn't buy a sandwich or the woman treated me like garbage because I didn't buy a sandwich but couldn't give me a band aid because they don't have a self-aid kit and if this is true, I sure hope none of the employees cut themselves while prepping the veggies for your sandwich. It's devastating that green pieces of paper with zero value trumps human decency even when it comes to something as small as a band-aid or needing to use the restroom. Next time you find yourself in this subway for a sandwich, don't forget to remember that if you were there strictly for human decency in any capacity, you'd be treated exactly like the sandwich you're spending your hard earned paper on-GARBAGE!
This Subway is extremely disappointing and I recommend spending your sandwich money elsewhere - I like the Subway near the intersection of South and Higuera. As a life long Subway eater and former Subway employee, this is in my top 5 of worst stores I have visited. The staff is not welcoming and the atmosphere feels full of malignity and loathing. This store is notorious for using less than the recommended Subway topping portions - as the sandwiches do not contain a lot of substance and they are quite literally 'lite sandwiches'. The store does not like to honor online deals and discounts, will cancel orders, and lie to you as to why they aren't able to assist. I will no longer be visiting this Subway under the current management and I hope corporate will step in to reassess the franchise ownership. I love the location of this Subway, as there are very limited and easily accessible eateries in the surrounding area. However, my money is better spent elsewhere.
Refuses to use the deals within the app and cancels orders if your discount is steep when you do get them to let you scan the QR code. Some times they let you scan the code then cancel and remake the order. I scanned the deals saw my order reach about 5 USD for 2 sandwiches then they refused canceled the order and said The machine broke when I scanned the deals, one only. "It will be canceled if it's more than one deal." The sandwiches are almost empty compared to any other subway I've ever been to. I asked for extra olives and got 3 more olive slices, point taken don't come back. Just avoid this subway.
Was told when ordering a 12" sandwich you can only get 8 slices of tomatoes on your sandwich, I have NEVER heard that from any other Subway, Has any one else heard this or is it only this location? 🤔 I will not come back here 😤
Went in a week ago 20 minutes after ordering my food for an 8:30 pickup. When I arrived, I was told my order had apparently been canceled. When I asked for help in the store, they said they couldn't do anything and that the discount I used on my original order was done online only. I went to re-order my food in the store via the app, which inexplicably no longer would use the discount code I had previously used a half hour earlier. So then I went to check out through the very sluggish Subway website, and right before I completed my order the store had apparently closed. The employees on site didn't help me at all before saying 'thank you' as I left empty-handed. Not a good experience, please do better for your customers.
Terrible experience at this Subway. I wouldn't come back. The customer in front of me was charged the full price of a sub sandwich, when all she'd ordered was one scoop of tuna in a cup! And they made her wait 8 minutes at the cash register while three employees tried to figure out her bill. She felt so embarrassed that she apologized to the other customers in line. Well, then the same thing happened to me...keep reading. I have a sub I order every single time I go to a Subway, it costs about $6. That is ALWAYS the same. I used a coupon this time, to get the same sub, and the coupon detailed a free drink and chips along with it. The order came to $10 this time. They charged my card, before telling me the price, and when I heard $10, I said "hey I don't think that's right". So, they refunded the charge, re did the whole thing, and came up with a HIGHER PRICE?! How! So again, three employees spent 8 minutes at the cash register trying to figure out the coupon. They ended up knocking off just ONE measly DOLLAR (still overcharging me by a lot!). Then, they didn't give me a drink cup, which was supposed to come with my order. I really wanted to get out of there by that point. I went to sit down and eat. I opened my sandwich. It hadn't even been wrapped, so everything fell out, especially the dressing. It was a giant inedible mess that got all over the table, my hands, face, hair, and my phone. Mustard and vinaigrette - EVERYWHERE! I had to wash my face in the bathroom! To top it all off I had to heckle with the employee making my sandwich to get more than a couple pieces of each topping. He acted really upset every time I asked for something, and kept trying to move along. Did you really think when I said "tomato" I wanted ONE SLICE of tomato?! Charged almost double, and shorted on toppings, quality, and my drink... for a *MUSH MESS* I waited 25 minutes for... Pick literally ANY other Subway in San Luis or nearby, this one SUCKS!
FOOD: ZERO STARS! I wouldn't even eat a free sandwich from this dumb gross place. I thought we were eating fresh here? SERVICE: NEGATIVE ZERO STAR Or RUDE Niet. Zilch. Nada. None. No star. Nairee a star AND.. it's negative!! HA! The family that owns and operates this subway station is astonishingly rude! RUDE! RUDE! RUDE! RUDE! RUDE! I was in the bathroom for 30 minutes and the whole time, the 3 of them (mother, father, son) took turns pounding on the door, yelling, "Clean the bathroom, clean the bathroom, clean the bathroom." Yeah, that's 100% YOUR JOB!! SUBWAY ASHHOLES! ATMOSPHERE: You guessed it!! ZERO stars!! The place is unclean and devoid of smiling faces, which should greet you from behind the counter. There are no hello's. There are no Hi's. There are no How are yous. Instead, you're offered only staring eyeballs that don't even seem to blink. OVERALL STARS: Negative 3
ordered a tuna sandwich today 11/10/2023. I ate half of it and after a couple of hours I felt a heaviness in my stomach, at first I didn’t attach any importance to it. but then about an hour later I started feeling dizzy and nauseous. As a result, I couldn’t work and I vomited and sat on the toilet all day!
