REAL Italian food in Mexico! What a treat! Simply yummy!
Amazing food, little extra treats, great cocktails, and they have a playroom for kids. Service is top notch!
Love their two-for-one gin deal(i think only on a certain day? I went on a Tuesday evening). I had a margherita pizza, super tasty. The service was great. Will be back when i visit again!
Food was delicious, the waitress was kind, friendly, helpful and very attentive to what we needed, the place is cozy, comfortable for any kind of occasion
The place is nice! Food is great, they have a good variety of dishes (most of them Italian) but quality and presentation of the food is fantastic! Prices are ok.
The food was incredible, the atmosphere cozy and inviting, and the service exceptionally attentive.
The restaurant’s overall ambiance is stunning and creates a beautiful setting for a meal. However, I must be honest—the chairs were extremely uncomfortable, making it hard to fully enjoy the experience. I highly recommend upgrading to more comfortable seating to enhance the dining experience. The Margarita I ordered was impressive in both cost and size, especially for an upscale restaurant—definitely a highlight. However, the bread service was disappointing due to the small portions. Most Italian restaurants typically serve generous, soft bread for dipping in olive oil with pepper, which was noticeably missing here. Service-wise, we were provided water, but the refills were infrequent, which detracted from the overall hospitality. As for the pasta, it was underwhelming—it lacked depth of flavor, and the noodles were neither soft nor cooked to the standard expected of a top-tier Italian restaurant. Typically, a good pasta dish involves building flavor with wine to enrich the sauce. The process could include melting butter in a pan, adding cream, letting it thicken, then incorporating fresh lemon juice and white wine while stirring, followed by freshly grated Parmesan. Additionally, boiling pasta in water as salty as the ocean, with olive oil and salted butter, is key to perfectly cooked noodles. Overall, while the setting and drinks were impressive, the food and service fell short of expectations for a high-end Italian dining experience. With some adjustments, this place could be exceptional.
Walked in at 6:30 with no reservation. It took the gentlemen quite a while to seat us despite being mostly empty. Large menu to choose from. They brought a bottle of Mezcal to the table and offered shots. I've seen restaurants do this and then add a lot of money to the bill so we said no. We were served by five or six different people for some reason. We ordered a margarita and a chardonnay and all they had was Sauvignon Blanc. Also ordered a minestrone but that never arrived. Margarita was good and only 110 pesos I believe. We each had a pasta dish and they were good. Nice breeze on the terrace. Beautiful restaurant all in all.
Food was great, place is cosy service wads a little slow
We went here for our anniversary dinner based on the excellent reviews. There were definitely some good points: 1. They bring a delicious, unique appetizer for free that's fancy bread and three different delicious sauces plus a tiny portion of soup. It was fantastic (and it made us think that we had picked a wonderful restaurant for our anniversary). 2. They bring a small, free chocolate dessert that was also very good. 3. They brought us a free glass of white wine at the end of the meal for our anniversary. 4. The staff was on top of their game service-wise (other than the wine--see below). But the bad points were significant: 1. We had a margarita pizza as an appetizer since it said it was cooked in an original wood-fired stove. The crust wasn't good and the sauce wasn't either. Below average pizza. 2. My seafood pasta was overcooked, and again, I didn't like the sauce. 3. My wife had spinach & mushroom ravioli in a burrata sauce. She didn't like her sauce either, too heavy and not a great flavor (although I tried it and thought it was pretty good). 4. We wanted to buy a bottle of wine for our anniversary. They brought a list of liquors and mixed drinks when they sat us, but without any wine on it. I had to ask for the wine list three times--for some strange reason they couldn't find it. Their wine list had some incredibly-priced wines on it: A US$2000 French cab and a US$1000 Spanish wine, plus many others (although there weren't many that were reasonably priced). We're not wine aficionados, so we wanted to keep the price reasonable. I ordered a Pinot Grigio for about US$30, and they brought it out room temperature. I sent it back, and then I ordered a Chianti for about $40, and they came back 10 minutes later and said they were sold out. So I ordered 2 glasses of their house Malbec. Then the headwaiter came and said they could offer us a similarly-priced bottle of Italian red to the US$40 Chianti, so I asked to see the price, and it was US$70. I said we'd stick with the Malbec. I didn't know that they made Malbec in Mexico, but it was from the state of SLP nearby. To be honest, it wasn't bad, but I feel like they should know a little more about wines in general when they have bottles for thousands of dollars on the menu. (I couldn't believe they brought out a white that was room temperature...) Overall, we felt this place was overpriced and very average, although we definitely appreciated the delicious free appetizer, chocolate and white wine for our anniversary.
This Italian restaurant offers a very poor experience of what true Italian food is, the pizza was not well kneaded and with a crust which is not entirely original, the mozzarella cheese needed to be heated more to make it softer and the tomato sauce was from a can, the gelato pastry was ice cream it did not have the creamy consistency that differentiates it from snow, the wine is very poor the variety it offers apart from being very overpriced, $15 wines are offered at more than 1000 mexican pesos when in reality when you do the currency exchange it does not reach the cost, for the cost of this place there is very little expectation of food vs the price they have, this restaurant has to learn that many customers have experience eating true Italian food and made by Italians so they know price, quality and flavor and this restaurant leaves a lot to be desired, the waiters take a long time to serve customers, this is a restaurant to try only once and not return please dont loose your time coming here.
Food is ok, waiters do ok. But our kids had to go through the rudeness of the owner’s kids in the kids zone, my 6yo mentioned it to their father who replied “if you don’t like it, don’t come again”. I agree, we won’t come, after visiting for 5+ years.
I went to take my family out to eat and a lady that has red hair was the one that was serving us. She never introduced herself or even said her name. The worst thing of all, I asked her about the specials, or the food, and never gave me any information. She only gave us one glass of water (no refills). Terrible experience regarding that lady. But when it came to the check, she was paying attention towards the tip. The food is good, I can't complain. If I ever go back, I wouldn't tip the waiters/servers, I would send it to the cooks.
