Had Austin as our waitress she was amazing kept our table of six well attended our drinks stayed full and service was timely! She even helped suggest a really good plate selection for two of us. I am a bit late with my review but wanted to make sure I posted to shout out Alex! 7/22/25 My friend and I had a solemn errand to run and decided to grab some dinner before we left town. We were immediately seated and had the pleasure of Alex being our server. Alex was very pleasant and patient as I have never been to one of these establishments. We learned he is new to the food service world. He is kind and will be very successful at it! Now to the food and drink. My beer was served just as I ordered it and my friend’s Sangria was perfect. Not too sweet and not too spicy. We both got the smashed burgers which were super yummy. The calamari was crisp and not chewy. The gringo deep with waffle fries may be a new addiction. I will definitely be visiting a 54th Street again in the near future.

I just love everything about this place. Great for a romantic dinner for 2, great for watching sports. Plenty of TVs to watch it on. Huge bar to sit at with lots of drink choices. Also family friendly. Food arrived in a timely manner. Everyone from the hostess to the wait staff are friendly and attentive. I have yet to order something I don’t like. Every time we come, we try something different and it doesn’t ever disappoint. Our favorite appetizer is definitely the shrooms with horse radish sauce. Highly recommend this place!

This place was suggested to us after a tour of the AE Wood state fish hatchery. Our bartender, Tanner was superb! We are from out of town, and he turned us on to all kinds of local info...bars, restaurants, etc. The food was excellent and the service was over the top. We will definitely return if in the area! Had the Double Smashed Cheeseburger with bacon, grilled jalapenos, onions and mushrooms. Delicious!!! Wish the onion rings were fresh instead of frozen though. Kellen was an awesome server and the atmosphere was great. Will definitely be back for another burger!!

Food was Delicious! Employee's were friendly and our waiter was patient with us. We couldn't decide what to get.. It all looked good.

Great atmosphere with nostalgic items and fun stuff hung from the ceiling and covering the walls. The wait staff took forever to acknowledge we were at our table, but apologized and provided chips and queso. The food was great tasting and came quickly. Everything was high calories...I ordered steamed veggies as my side, but it came drenched in butter. The staff was great once they found us. If you are looking for a nice place with comfort food, I recommend you give this place a try.

The menu has something for everyone. There is plenty of space for large groups. The decor is fun. TVs for the sports fan. The beer list lengthy and solid. The Cajun dry rub wings sre excellent.

Me and my friend had faith as our server and she was so kind and had amazing service! I will definitely be coming back and asking for her to be my server!

We stopped in for drinks. Got the fried pickles. OMG. They were on point. They were actually pickle spears not sliced pickles. They were so good. The service was ok at the bar, we did have to wait for a bit when there were only 2 other people at the bar. It was quiet enough to have a conversation without struggling to hear each other, which was nice.

Everything was perfect the food was delicious and the service was excellent. Our server Austin took extremely good care of us and we most definitely will be back.

A cut above the rest. 54th Street was a pleasant surprise in a state where bland food seems to rein supreme. It has long been one of my pet peeves about Texas that Texans consider Salt a spice. So many restaurant in Texas cook with only salt or over salt their food trying to make it taste good. Just FYI, salt is not a spice. It is a mineral flavor enhancer. It's purpose is to enhance the flavor of the other spices in the food, not be the only spice or overwhelm them. 54th Street is one of the very few restaurants in Texas that I have been to that understands what I just said. The food at 54th comes out looking like a top chef prepared your plate. But it doe snot stop at look. The food actually TASTE like it was prepared by a chef. There is real spice and seasoning in the food that you can taste, not just salt. The salt is there, but it is a contribution to the the spice of the food, not the main ingredient. 5 Stars for 54th Street for daring to break the Texas mold and cook tasty food. The thing about 54th street, is you would expect to pay a LOT more for what they serve. However, the prices are very reasonable, and even could be called budget friendly. IA super nice restaurant, serving great food, in a wonderful ambience. Who would have guessed that a place like this could exist post Covid? The Bottom Line: 54th Street is a place you need to try. If they keep doing what they do, I will keep coming back for more.

Returned after a week the experience was so good the first time. Chris, the bartender waited on us again. Another outstanding visit . Great job and attention to the customer. Had the ribs again, beans and potatoes. Great meal. Tried the Brussels but they came cold. Not happy and probably won't order again. Overall my experience here is by far better than a few recent visits to other local restaurants. Keep up the great customer service it speaks volumes compared to the other restaurants in the area .

I came here with my sister after a day shopping. Neither of us are really familiar with the area or this restaurant so we took a chance. We were very impressed! Our server Danielle was one of the friendliest we have a had anywhere in a while, and very helpful and patient with all of our questioning. I’d like to also say, my drink never sat empty! As someone who might drink 4-5 refills at a meal that’s always a big deal for me! The food was good but we will make 54th street our stop in San Marcos because of Danielle.

Great food, kind and friendly service. Lively and welcoming atmosphere. First time to this location and they did not disappoint. Started off with Fry Me To The Moon appetizer. Savory, and filling. My partner’s steak was delivered well done which no human should ever have to suffer with eating. Swiftly they corrected this mistake and cooked a new steak to my partner’s liking and handled the matter professionally. On the other hand, the ribs were tender and the lunch specials are reasonably priced. Endless soup and salad for myself which went over pretty well. Happily, I ate enough for two, possibly three. We also downloaded the 54th Street app and received the option of free dessert or appetizer and ended up with a NY style strawberry cheesecake. Highly doubt that it was made there, but regardless it was excellent. Would eat again. Will be returning.

I had such a great experience at 54th Street! The food was fantastic. I ordered the veggie burger with sweet potato fries and an iced tea, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and really satisfying. Unfortunately, they do not get direct calls in house is what I was told. In the new age of technology I can assume this is the new norm since I can not remember the last time I called anywhere. Super trendy and a nice place to eat. The atmosphere reminds me of 1990’s Bennigans but better. I got the chicken friend steak and my wife got the baby back ribs. We also split some fried pickles. Honestly the food was quite good, served hot and fairly quick, and the atmosphere was surprisingly pleasant. I was a bit surprised how quickly everything was served, and even more surprised by the portions. Holy cow! So much for my diet! It’s cool, we have some left over for later tonight. Haha!

Stopped by this place while visiting Aquarena springs during a day trip. The family and I were pleasantly surprised. The place was very busy (due to it being prom night I think from all the dressed up teenagers)🤷‍♂️ but we found a seat at the bar right away. The staff was very helpful, social, and attended to us quickly. The menu is pretty diverse with many options, and lots of adult drinks/beers on tap. The family and I just ordered some drinks, hamburgers, and sandwiches and they were very tasty! I'll definitely be a return customer to try something else. Good place! 👍👍

I'm giving this a 4 on account of beer variety & that would be a reason I would return. I had two of the 'Great Divide Hercules Double IPA'. I recommened having just one as they are 10% and the flavors weren't as defined for me in the second one. If you are an IPA fan, it's def. worth a try. Our appetizer was on a special, it was Waffle Fries with Gringo Dip. The dip was actually very rich & creamy. My partner said there was a little bit of spice to it, but as someone who loves the heat- I didn't get it much. Surely, it was the Pepper Jack Cheese, if anything. It was a good bar-style starter and perfect with a cold beer. I ordered the 'Fish, Shrimps & Chips Platter'. It was underwhelming. The tilapia tasted and smelled like Catfish. My assumption is that the batter they use for Catfish is the same for the Tilapia. I do not like Catfish at all and with every bite, that was the aroma. Everything tasted like grease (and I am aware, as it is fried food) with no flavor. I wouldn't order this again.

My friend took me here for the first time on my birthday. He added his name to the waiting list before we left the house and when we arrived the hostess said we weren't on it and it would be a 30 minute wait or we could go seat ourselves at the bar. We headed to the bar but they didn't have 2 seats available and we ended up with a table after a family left. I got the Gyro and was very Happy with my entire plate. My friend was missing a few things for his plate but our waitress was happy to get them for him. It was busy so it took some time to get going but overall good experience.

It was ok, the food was good service was fine but my husband doesn't really like football and has a bit of a social anxiety so the vibe was not good for him cause longhorns were playing and the table directly behind him were die hard fans and kept cheering. Lol just not our scene.

Oct 2024 - found this place on our way back from Fredericksburg just off I-35 and before our Luling cutoff to get back to I-10. They have a wide variety of food options of favorite foods for everyone. The food was good, and portions fit well for a hungry traveler. The decor strikes me as an explosion of TGI Fridays, Benniganis, Fuddruckers, and Chili's all shocked up. There's so many interesting visuals. Tiiger or server did well. One food option we didn't particularly enjoy was the fried mushrooms. Their way uses big mushroom caps stuffed with cream cheese.... not bad, just not to our liking. The wife ended up removing the filling and enjoyed them much more.

I am a big fan that they advertise CAB on their menu. That mean’s quality meats to me. I ordered the Gyro and didn’t care for the feta on it and should have had red onion added instead. My group of friends all seemed to enjoy there meals and we would consider coming back again.

Fun and light atmosphere. Service was excellent. Drinks: Old Fashion 3 ☆, Basil Lemonade 5 ☆. Food: tequilla wrapper 5 ☆, Gringo Dip 4☆, Chicken Acoado Sandwich 5☆, burgers 2☆{over cooked/dry). Overall I'd go back just wouldn't order burgers.

Always good food but this time I went outside my comfort zone and got the summer chicken salad and omg it was good, the goat cheese, candied pecans, apples, celery with the vinaigrette just went together. The tots were huge and good. Service was good as well.

I ordered food to be delivered. It was my first time ordering from here and it was at 9:00pm on New Year's Eve! I was surprised i could get anything delivered within an hour considering the night. I ordered the French Dip and it was good. I imagine it would have been excellent if I had ordered it and eaten in the restaurant. I plan on eating in the restaurant soon.

Great first time experience. Waitress was very nice and attentive. I ordered the country fried top sirloin with mashed potatoes, scratch baked BBQ beans with brisket and a house salad. Everything was made well. The beans were pretty good, a little spicy but I like spice. Not so much where it's uncomfortable but just enough to give it a nice flavor. The atmosphere was pretty good. Not so loud that you couldn't enjoy a good meal and a nice conversation with family and friends. There wasn't a long wait and we went around 2pm. They pretty much got us seated as soon as we walked in with a party of 5. I definitely recommend eating here. We didn't pay the bill this time around but from the menu prices range between $15-$30.

Really good place. The atmosphere was awesome even at 9pm on a Saturday. Quiet enough to talk but still a good amount of people. The staff are also nice and accommodating, no complaints about them at all. Food was a 4/5 for me, I felt like a couple things had a weird seasoning that was not my preference. But everything was cooked perfectly and had wonderful presentation, so I’ll probably return and try more things.

The appetizers were really good. We tried the fried pickles and queso with chips. I had ordered a Cherry limeade. Everything was just the perfect amount of sour and savory. I had a little trouble with my chicken fried steak. It was really chewy and veiny. Hard to chew. I personally didn't like the Mac and cheese either. But everything else was delicious. Our waitress was really good at her job considering there were seven of us. The atmosphere is really homey and nice. The restrooms were nice and clean. Definitely worth checking out. The food came to the table really quick. Everything was hot and warm. My boyfriend ordered the devil's Den burger and wished it was just a little bit spicier.

The food was okay a little heavy on the salt but the chips we received had practicallyno salt . I thought we could have had better service as well. When we were seated the table and booth were still really wet. They didnt even put silverware or napkins on the table until after we recieved our entrees. To cap it all off when we were leaving the hostess looked at us like we had 2 heads!

The Gringo dip and waffle fries are amazing. Large portion as an appetizer. The Founders Breakfast Stout (beer) was quite good. Notes of chocolate, coffee and maybe a slight maple syrup flavor? It went very well with the Gringo dip! If I return, it will be for these two things. The food was a little more of a disappointment. The Chicken fried chicken was crispy and moist. The gravy was adequate but tasted like it comes in powder form and gets water added. The mashed potatoes tasted the same. If these things are made fresh in the store, there may need to be some training done. The only adult thing about the Adult Mac and Cheese was the price. It had very little flavor and nothing that made it special. I was excited about the Cheddar Biscuit because I love to make them at home. However, this one came to the table cold and still raw on top. I know sometimes cooking with cheese in bread it can look underdone but not be. That was not the case this time. It was straight up raw dough. The server, while sweet, didn't seem fazed or bothered when I told them.

I didn't eat there but ordered delivery. The wings, sides and most things were great. The chicken fried steak was terribly grisly (like most places) and not fun to eat. 3/5 stars.

Been here twice now and just an average American restaurant. Big menu, food just ok, very busy. Best part is the fun atmosphere with all the crazy stuff hanging from the walls and ceiling.

Time arrived - 4pm on a Saturday (not busy). Party of 4 First and foremost, the service during our visit was horrible. When I first walked in, it took the staff about to minutes to acknowledge I was even standing there (after they were done looking at their phones). Once I was able to be added to the list the wait time was fairly short - only took about 8 minutes for the text to come thru on my phone informing me the table was ready. My wife, 2 kids and I were seated and our waiter immediately came to take our drink orders (did not provide his name- later found out his name is Adrian our receipt). My wife, daughter and I ordered unsweetened tea while my son ordered Sprite. We received our drinks but there was no sugar provided (or any on the table). My wife also noticed there was a lipstick stain on her glass. When we were finally able to get our waiter's attention - we informed him of the tainted cup and our lack of sugar. We responded, "oh ok", took my wife's glass and headed off into the kitchen. He returned moments later with few packets of sugar and a new glass of tea - only this time there was no ice. When asked why, the waiter replied, " I could of sworn I heard 'no ice'... be right back" before walking away again. After about 10 minutes (and several passes from the waiter) we still did not receive the cup of Ice and we assumed our waiter just forgot our request - so we had to remind him once again and he finally returned with the cup of ice. The service didn't improve from there - we had to request silverware for the table once our food arrived and both times we requested refills for our drinks our server Adrian appeared to be annoyed by the request. On the plus side, the food didn't take long to come out. We all ordered burgers that were seasoned well (and the fries were great!). If you can make it past the "service" staff, there's some potentially good food to be had here, it's just not worth the hastle for me personally given that there are many other restaurant choices in the area. Would not eat here again

Food menu needs to be changed same stuff. Prices as well a little steep for a burger and fries 18$ should of just ate at whaterburger. Chicken salad sandwich has egg in it my wife is allergic to eggs and I dont remember if menu says that there is egg in the chicken salad. I won't be back for a while, I hope something on there menu changes with slightly lower prices.

Service was not great food was good until found hair in my gravy and was not even compensated was not trying to get a free meal but they didn't even offer half price which kinda sucked but o well won't be back last didn't even get a refill or asked only when I was paying but why ask when we were done eating

We were not impressed with our visit. The food was very greasy, and the Cajun chicken was not good at all. The fries came out soft and not crispy, and the cheese on the sandwich didn’t taste fresh or good either. When we asked for hot sauce, we were only given a very tiny cup with a small amount of sauce in it. On top of that, the way the bill was handled made us uncomfortable. Our server (Ali) stood right over us while we were paying, clearly expecting a tip. Normally, the card should be charged and the receipt brought back so the customer can decide how to tip on the slip. It felt pushy and not right. Overall, the food and service did not meet expectations.

The online ordering said it would be ready at 9:10 pm when I ordered at 9. I thought that was really cool how quick it was gonna be, but here I am at 9:30 still sitting in the parking lot waiting for my curbside dinner. If the food isn’t gonna be ready at the time you say, just be safe and say it’ll be done at the correct time. Don’t be over ambitious, do what you think is actually gonna happen. And now they give me my food, no sorry no extra bread nothing to say this doesn’t normally happen. Kinda crazy

This place was pretty good the first 2 times we had it. This 3rd time, however, not so great. I'm not usually one to give a negative review over one incident, but when it comes to not cooking the food correctly, I feel this deserves it. It is a food safety issue to not cook things thoroughly and no restaurant should allow improperly cooked things to come off the line and be served. Burgers were requested specifically with no pink and it was mostly pink. Do better, please.

So I love u 54th street, but the fact that you are making ur employees come in when everything else is closed because of the ice and snow, that’s disgustingly greedy. Think about your employees safety over making money.

We watched the person cleaning tables. They poured water from Individual cups that people had already drank out of back into the jar that the fresh water comes in. It is possible that they take that in the back and put all that in the dishwasher. But it is a bad image to see possibly getting someone else's water back in a new jar. So I called to talk to someone to tell them that they should probably change that policy because we are not coming back due to that, and have yet to hear back from anyone. We will not return.

The food is amazing as always but it always seems like the employees make you feel like you’re a bother when asking for something. The 1st time was great but after the 1st visit we have had bad luck with the workers. The server we had wouldn’t check up on us until 40 minutes later and forgot to take our order. She also forgot to give us our dessert and we waited and waited and just decided to leave without it. Another time we did curbside pick up and I called the restaurant to let them know and they said something was wrong with my order so I let them know I could go inside. I went inside and plenty of employees passed by without acknowledging us. Eventually someone came up and he said I would need to go back outside to get my food.

Absolutely the worst experience! The server looked as though they hated life and couldn’t even fake it. It took 20 mins after ordering to get our drinks then another 45 minutes for her to take our order. She did not check on us at all in the 3 hours we were there, only 2 of us, a party of 12 that came in after us was in and out before we even got our food. The burgers were cold but the fries were like lava. I would not recommend this location to anyone
