The store was well maintained. Nice customer service. Cleanliness was in perfection. Great place to grab a bite to eat. Would definitely recommend going here.

This Dairy Queen (I-35 & Hwy 123) made the best looking banana splits I have ever seen! Nobody at our u table got one BUT we saw 3 while we were there. They were picture perfect!!!!

My family and I went into DQ for icecream and decided to order some buffals chicken wraps. They were taking a little longer than usual and although we didn't mind, Kyler went out of his way to make it up to us for waiting ! Thank you so much for being amazing and showing such great customer service !

After a long day at work I decided to stop for some ice cream. The manager George was so nice. The young lady who took my order was friendly as well.ost nights they are super busy however tonight the wait wasn't long. Then you again for the blessings.

Five stars for the service at this store! The inside was closed due to under staffing. The 2 people inside got our order 100 percent right (which was big) and had us our food in under 8 min. Great job guys!

I haven't had a burger from Dairy Queen in years and ot was goood! I usually go to Whataburger but the lines lately have gotten out of hand and the wait, though not their fault, is way to long. I decided to come here cause there was no line and I did remember their burgers being good quality, and I was right. Great flavorful burger, big french fries that were not greasy, and a damn good Peanut Buster Parfait! All for the same price that other places charge but with betted down home flavor! Thanks!

Had a misunderstanding of numbers, 10 can sound like 2 through a drive-thru speaker. Went in to have it fixed and with no hesitation Anthony took care of it. Great service!

The food here can be hit or miss, but so far the service has been almost excellent every time that I come through. No true complaints as of yet and I hope it stays this way.

This location was nice. The store looked nice and was easy to access. Menu was easy to read. My kids loved the food. The hunger buster with cheese and grilled chicken sandwiches were great. The fries were fresh and per salt. Food was fresh and prepared when ordered.

Great place to go for any time hunger. Be it a quick snack, lunch, dinner and dessert, or just dessert. Good smart workers. The employee that took my order, asked if wanted him to tell the cook to wait to make my to go order when I was done eating my inhouse order, without me having to ask him first. Really loved that.

While it was a bit warm inside, everything else made up for it. The food was excellent, the service was superb. I lament I didn't get the staff names to highlight them. Even their bathrooms were so clean. One thing I was impressed with was how clean the floors looked and felt. Normally restaurant floors feel slimy...not here.

We visit this location every time we are in the area and they have consistently good food and excellent service. Parking was a bit of a challenge on our last visit, just a testimony of how good they are🙂

I usually get the 3 Tacos and a Coke, and not only are they friendly here, But the tacos are always fresh, with lots of toppings...thick crispy shells...never soggy....they give you a fork too, becuase all the taco shrapnel almost makes a salad

Ketchup dispenser clean but not properly working. Last visit it was dirty and not working. Overall cleanliness was good, but with a little effort it could be excellent! The service clerk(Jeffrey G) was extremely courteous and very customer oriented!! I observed him work with an elderly customer that appeared to be having a little difficulty ordering. He was so patient and very understanding while the order was being slowly decided upon. He is a credit to DQ!

Staff was sweet. Food was decent. Kept getting food I didnt order at my table...which was funny. Just cuz Im honest...or else I would have eaten the 6 blizzards I was given. Saw a couple go in the trash since the orders were wrong. Building could use a pick-me-up.Josie was the sweetest :)

Here for lunch, since the remodel a few years back, I've come here often the staff are polite. The area is convenient and nice the restuarant is kept clean. Also glad the Hwy 80 location was remodeled.

Love the promo for the small ice cream cone which got us here. Too bad on premise dining is STILL not allowed. With all the advertising of "Come celebrate our 75th anniversary with us!" we really expected a return to normal.

I stopped in for a special treat because I was on a work trip. As DQ's go this was subpar but okay. You can't go wrong when all you want is a mini Heath bar blizzard, and they make it just right. Nothing else really mattered.

They only have drive thru and curbside pickup available at this time due to limited staffing. Took a little longer than usual because of this, but was able to pick up an ice cream cake for my kid's birthday party. Delicious!

Hot, AC was down inside, but nothing that DQ can't fix.. got the special Superman and a pineapple blizzards.

We were not initially pleased with the slow processing of our food. But because of the cheerful, efficient, and willing to please attitude of the cashier Andrea Prresciliana, more than made up for the cold food.

It's a typical small town dairy queen. Run by young people that mostly know their job. Don't expect much and you won't be disappointed. All I've ever ordered is ice cream products from this location and they haven't gotten my order wrong yet. They just aren't very attentive or concerned with the customer.

Went to the drive up and ordered a banana split and a blizzard. They handed me a sundae and a different blizzard. Told them it was wrong and they gave me a banana slit with melted ice cream and my blizzard that I ordered. So disappointing

Long lines had me on the frontage road. Felt very unsafe trying to get in the drive thru. Overall staff was nice, but location has way to much construction. Thank God it's not the only DQ in town.

I was giving this Dairy Queen another try from a previous visit, but was disappointed again. I don't understand why I'm told that their fries are never staged, that they are made to order, but they ways taste stale and are soggy. And my Dr. Pepper is always flat there too. At least my Belt Buster was pretty good. But for $10 for a combo, there's definitely room for improvement.

It was OK! Got a blizzard...employee turns it upside down and part of it goes on table. I asked if it was free and she stated NO! It wasn't mixed thoughly...runny and vanilla in bottom. My husband got a double cheese burger with fries both of which were Luke warm at best. Tables were sticky and nasty. Will not be returning.

Good service. The one insider was very nice. The blizzards we're great. Only problem was the two employees cussing. I'm not the only one that knows it was inappropriate, another customer was upset with it also.This is a family oriented place.

It took a long time to make five ice creams despite the fact that there were only a couple of people in drive thru and nobody in line inside. The staff were friendly but had some issues hearing our order. Had to repeat it a couple times. Can't speak to the food at this location as we just got ice cream. I got a cookie dough blizzard with snickers "added". It was mostly vanilla ice cream. Had some cookie dough mixed in (pretty skimpy amt) but didn't get a bite of snickers until the very bottom and then it was a small piece in 1 bite. I guess enough to say they added it and justify charging me for it? Or maybe it got in by accident. I think I'll stick to Marble Slab for the ice cream.

We went through the drive thru. There was some problem with the order ahead of ours so we had to wait a few extra minutes for them to finish up. When we got our ice cream order, the blizzard order was the wrong flavor and the cone was melting.

The service was to be expected and we received our order in a timely manner. However the chicken we ordered was slightly cold. We decided to dine in, late in the evening.

Service was slow. I understand sometimes it can be busy. On my visit it was not and they forgot I had an order after 20 minutes of waiting for it patiently. I do not recommend.

Drive thru was insane. No in store use. However, the young lady working the drive thru was pleasant and sweet. At 9 pm on a Wednesday. Don't know why it was so busy. Good for DQ!

Order through door dash and didn't receive all my items and no option to redeliver my missing item and when my items came they where all melted and sticky all over a few blizzards. Very disappointed and this just happened tonight!!!

The drive thru line was long. We parked. I walked in and was told I would be served BUT.... Drive thru only is open and the lobby is closed. I said " I just want a dilly bar" they're individually wrapped and at least they don't have to MAKE something involved and complicated. I was served then I watched the manager lock the door. Someone in the drive thru line saw how fast I was in and out that they jockeyed their car out of the line and parked and proceeded to the door when I politely educated them about the service policy On a Sunday around 5pm. Idk what time they close but the dining room was clean and spotless.

Took forever to get ordered. Food wrong when I got it. Remake of burger was burnt. Wont be back.

I've been to the dairy Queen before many times and always had great service great food treated right but today there were a couple of young guys one with big hair underneath the cap and a skinny one up front running to register I'll order my hamburger mayonnaise no mustard with cheese took a while I mean a long while finally get my food and then when I got it did not have cheese so I called the guy skinny guy waved him over and I know he saw me but after delivering food to the table close to us he turned a walk away and I had a yell at him he finally came and I told him I ordered my burger with cheese I even showed him there was no cheese he took the burger and it took a little longer to get my burger back with cheese then I thought it would take I was worry about not dairy Queen itself but the employees their young people that don't really care about their job it's just a job it's just money coming in they can always find another job I worry that they missed with the food and I know it shouldn't be that way I think from now on I will go elsewhere for my hamburgers that's unfortunate because I do love their burgers and their fries

First time visitor to this location, pretty standard issue as far as a Texas DQ goes, but i ordered a swirl cone and we were told they had no chocalate. Wait, what?

I was unhappy with my blizzard.....I came through the drive thru...when I reach the window they hand me my blizzard it was all melted...they didn't even try tip it over to show you that it nice and firm....nope....I was so upset I didn't want to eat it...

My impression of Dairy Queen at this location in San Marcos, Tx, on access road to IH35 South- It wasn't cleaned last nite or this morning. Bathrooms are not cleaned thoroughly at all. Burger was a bit cold. Service was ok, but when it's kept dirty, it says "You're not especially welcome here." Also, if dining area & restrooms are dirty, how clean is kitchen & food equipment? Falling to careless standards, owner step up, please!!!

Burgers did not appear to be fresh, I Love Dairy Queen however the meat was more like a frozen patty from the grocery store, I was disappointed-that was not the Old Time Downhome from the country type burger I so loved! Asked for easy mustard received an abundance of mayo and mustard I could literally wipe off with alot of napkins.

Waited more than 30 minutes sitting inside this filthy store for a couple of ice creams to find out they hadn't even started them yet when I complained. Terrible service, mediocre food, awful atmosphere.

I just stood at the counter for eight minutes and no one would ask for my order or even say hello. I counted five other customers in the dining room, and five young staff members with their head somewhere else.

Always terrible service and they deny you service when you wait in line for 20 min and get to the checkout before they close. Would not recommend going to this location.

I just went through the drive through and ordered some bacon chicken wraps and I saw the lady cutting them with a plastic knife and NO GLOVES. It is during a pandemic. This is disappointing

So with this pandemic and people using gloves improperly, I’ve been asking for NO condiments in my bag or in boxes. The associates taking the money are using the gloves touching cards and cash then using the exact same gloves to touch ketchup and then placing in with my food. Talk about cross contamination. I asked the girl to please make me a new order with no napkins, condiments, no extras in the box. She proceeded to tell me that Dairy Queen associates change their gloves for EVERY transactions. I highly doubt this! I’ve just wasted $10.38 on food I’m not going to eat. I feel it’s the exact same order or in fear the associates may have done something to the food out of spite. Treat your customers with respect and courtesy, as you want them to treat you. I can honestly say I’ll never eat at a Dairy Queen again!

Umm I will start with bathroom not neat! It took like 5 mins for someone to come get our order inside. We ordered two shakes and one blizzard and It took them about 30 minutes to get it to us and they whernt great. Suggest taken Business somewhere else.

Came here after work to get some dinner. I decided to go inside and order to go instead of going through the drive thru. They weren’t busy but it took 15 mins for me to get my food. I don’t know if they were new hires or not so I didn’t complain. I ordered a 6 piece steak finger basket and when I got home I noticed there was only 5 in the box.

Had a 42 foot fifth wheel that would not make it through the drive through. So I called to place order for pick up. Insisted I use the app to place order. I was sitting in parking lot and they would not take a phone order. Poor service for older traveling people. I DO NOT recommend this Dairy Queen.

Employee behind the register had a hickey on left side of neck. Was not keeping track of order. Started to charge for only one meal instead of two. Also short changed me $1.00. Had to bring it to his attention so he would correct the error.

I'll forgive the relatively poor service... they were not rude or unfriendly. they were just not all that good as it seems there is very high turnover here. What I won't forgive is that we had 3 Blizzards . One was okay not great but it passed muster as to the upside down to show that it was frozen enough. The other 2 were not shown as they're supposed to. We went about 2 blocks and the 2 were very liquid. We kept going and it didn't get any better only worse so we returned to the DQ.to ask for a redo. The person that was the mgr. looked at the Blizzards from inside that we were holding and said that since they were nearly half done that she WOULD NOT replace them, making us feel like we were both trying to pull a fast one and therefore culprits. It was a resolute No and very disrespectful. We are Blizzard aficionados and we know the way that they're supposed to be ....it was ridiculous on her part. We didn't ask for anything that we shouldn't have asked for and the Bizzards should have been redone without any questions. I recommend that you go to the DQ on the north side of San Marcos. Why should you pay for bad soft serve DQ treats that are bad and service that is even worse.

Easily the worst experience I have had anywhere! I went this evening with my kids and husband. We sat there for 30 minutes looking at our food in the window. The kids were getting hungry so I finally just go up there and ask about my food. The guy behind the counter ( who just took the order) was confused and looking around when my food was behind him. When he handed it to me we were missing a whole meal and parts of another. I waited for an additional 10 minutes for the rest of the food. We finally start eating and of course everything was cold except for the meal that was forgotten the first time. All of the staff looked like kids and they kept disappearing to the back. Only one girl in the drive thru looked like she was actually doing her job. One guy was bouncing around talking to himself and dropping things everywhere like he was messed up on something. I spoke with another customer in line who was also missing half of her meal. I’m not a harsh critic considering I work in the restaurant industry, but they didn’t even have a manager on duty to speak to!

I understand when there is a rush and a lot of people are in the drive-thru, that service will take a little longer. I'm currently sitting in the drive-thru and have been for at least twenty minutes... watching three employees through the window in the eating area just standing there, laugh amongst themselves. Maybe they're clocked out... Maybe they aren't. But it's conveying a very negative impression on this location on their priority when it comes to guest services. Very dissatisfied and I haven't even reached the window for my food.

Horrible! Customer Service! I waited in line today because the inside was closed. Drive Thru took 30 minutes at least only to wait until I got to the widow to say their Credit Card machine quit working and they only took cash. No sign posted and not told at ordering. Sorry for the other 8 people in line because they still did not put a sign out. Did they offer anything for their issue? Nope...just looked at us like we had a problem. I guess 3 stars is right.

June 12, 2018 7:00pm. I just stopped in there to get a Jurassic Chomp to end a long, hot day. I was a regular customer who stopped in there 2-3 times a month while traveling home to Canyon Lake from work in Austin. Tonight, I waited at the empty front counter for about 5 minutes hoping someone would acknowledge my presence. The two people in the kitchen saw me thru the pass thru window but said nothing as they continued their more important conversation as opposed to saying "hi, someone will be right with you". The lady really wasn't cooking or doing much of anything else except conversing with another employee. Their were also two employees sitting down in the restaurant, with a clear view to the front counter, I guess taking a break( although at 7:00 pm one would think 2 employees would not take a break at the same time). They both looked over my way but no acknowledgement as well. Even as they saw I was clearly agitated as I was walking out of the restaurant, shaking my head, they just continued to sit there. Really poor management at this location. Not my first poor work ethic experience from their employees but tonight was my last visit Train your employees that your customers pay their checks and provide profit to your restaurant. Sad

Terrible service!. We Sat at the drive thru menu board for 10 minutes with zero response. We then pulled up to the window and still No one, there was a guy sitting on the counter, and a girl carrying a sanitizer bucket but we were Completely ignored. I called to see if maybe the drive thru was closed and he said "no maam I'm with an inside customer", I then informed him how long we had been sitting there and he said just drive up and I'll be with you, I''m the manager", after which he Still did not come to the window. Just wondering what kind of people you have "managing" this location as this is not the first time we've had terrible service here and will not be back.

I showed up 45 minutes before close looking for a blizzard. Sat in the drive through for 10 minutes. I was never acknowledged. Walked inside and was told that it might be closed. It really felt like they were hoping that i wouldn't order and they could just do nothing for the rest of their shift. Several employees milled about. Even while inside it still took long enough to make a blizzard that I've had time to write this review and I'm continuing to wait.

Habitually left waiting for to go orders 20+ minutes. 4/5 times ordering a burger something is missing or hasn't been removed as requested. Sure it's had a face lift, but it needs a good house cleaning. Have given up on this place.

Terrible. I sat for 20 minutes in the drive-thru, my order was wrong so after I got home I had to drive all the way back. One of my orders had already sat for that 20 minutes I waited in line and then another while I drove back to the place, I got 2 Dr. Peppers and one was flat the other had no flavoring, the chicken fried steak I waited so long for was so soggy the fried breading was stuck to the bread rather than the steak, the fries were cold and soggy even my dogs wouldn't eat them, no joke, oh and when I called about my order being wrong he said "well did you check it?" Excuse me???? That's not my job. I don't usually write reviews but I was astounded at the horrible service from this place as I watched the employees shovel food in their mouths at the drive thru-window, and the petty comments about my order being wrong I heard in the background of my phone call. They did comp me a duplicate order though I have no plans on ever going back to this location or any locations in my area.

When I went to this DQ I experienced the worlds worst service!!! If I could give this negative stars I would! When I got to the store there were 4 cars in line at the drive thru, so not too bad, I sat in the drive through for 30 minutes before I finally got to the window. When I got to the window I could see why they were taking so long there were only three people working and one of them was sitting outside smoking. They weren't even that busy, there were maybe 10 people in the whole store. When I got to the window I waited there for 5 minutes and no one came up to take my money or give me my food, they would look at me and then just go on to other things so I just left without getting my food. Terrible service and terrible management, the owner needs to make some changes in management for sure. I give this place -5 stars. No one go here you would probably get you order faster at the DQ on hwy 80 that has been completely gutted and is in the middle of remodeling than this crappy DQ.

I just had the worse customer experience with a woman at Dairy Queen at 123 and south IH 35 Very rude unprofessional, low class and behind person. It is so sad hire someone so with no class no education no management experience and putting them behind counter as a night manager. I went there had a on line pick up she said we have no order for you . I went home and got my phone come back and showed her my order and charges to my American Express than . She still says you shouldn’t be drinking Now she accuses me and drinking and acting as an TABC agent . Which I had not had even one drink probably for past 6 months. So she blamed me for her failures . Your company needs to go heal with that type of service and that type of attitude. Accusing customers for being drinking. I would not even hire her for $2 an hour to clean my restrooms . So low your company gone to hire someone who can’t even want to serve you after you were charged . Worse customer service in Texas . She said no order under Adam and I had to go home to get my phone to show the order and charge to other employees. This lady has a personal problem to ran off your customers. I own a multi million dollar business, I was very surprised how some companies hire such a low low class people!

We drove through and had an incredibly rude gal on the speaker. We ordered and then she said “we are out of ice cream.” We asked if the other locations were as well, and she said “I don’t k ow I only work here.” Seriously? Apparently customer service isn’t high on their list of services.

the worker at the register was not very kind. i came in about 20 minutes before closing to place a to go order. once i had ordered 1 one of the three things i needed, the cashier just said “it’s to go” and then tried to end the transaction. after i explained that i still wanted to order 2 treats and i asked if a certain milkshake was any good, the same cashier rolled his eyes and said “i haven’t tried it but it sounds disgusting”. It was just a very off putting interaction, save yourself the headache and drive 2 miles down the road to the other san marcos location.

I’m in town from out of town with my family. We had a craving for an ice cream and some fries, so we decided to go to this DQ. We got there about 15 minutes before closing time. We went through the drive through. We were told they weren’t selling any more food. So I went on and ordered ice cream, when I got to the window the guy that was assisting had a in a rush to close and leave but at the same time he was messing up the orders and tried to blame me for his mistake. Unpleasant experience!!
